The FF franchise has really been the only RPG I've played consistently. Just started Final Fantasy III for the psp.

Kind of sucks always getting killed when you wander off too far into a patch of land that looks like every other patch of land, just with more powerful carp to wreck the day.

I also hate how unlike in it's predecessors, Inns don't heal status problems and KOed characters. They're like 'we balance the ease of obtaining gil by forcing you to use it'. My response: Save after every fight that goes well, and hit reset if something goes wrong.

On that note, I hadn't heard of Chrono Trigger before coming to this board, but I looked at photos on Wiki, and it looked really cool. If the DS version doesn't bring anything new to the table, then I might play it on an emulator. Once I need a break from FF3 anyway.

I have no Xbox 360, and I haven't paid enough attention to anything outside of Square Enix to know of any American RPGs.

It was. <3

And you guys are carp, TP was good. Not the best Zelda ever, but it was still good.

Phantom Hourglass, however...

It released on July 2nd in the 2.40 Firmware update, but then Sony quickly pulled it because it was bricking PS3's.

They're supposed to be releasing FW 2.41 sometime this week that has all of the 2.40 XMB stuff and that also doesn't break your system. lol
anyone want to buy my psone, it comes with a tonne of carp

It seems really interesting. Kind of like a freerunning/parkour game with a story.

If you were holding out on picking up a 360 you probably won't need to hold out much longer!
Roan, the PS3 update that doesn't brick consoles was released on Wednesday, aka Firmware Version 2.41.

Bought Burst Limit today from a a small game shop down here for $40, cheaper than the $60 I would have paid at home. I just hope Online play doesn't lag as much as BT3. Although it being made by a (imo) much better developer, Burst Limit should have no problems.
bt3 was also on wii i think

wii seems to lag terribly all the time
Yeah that is the copy I own. Even with LAN the game is pretty much unplayable online. The PS2 version didn't have online though, but some legacy thing where if you had save data from the previous BT's you get stuff.
Sony needs to show Heavenly Rain, and pretty much all the PS3 unreleased titles from E3 2005 this week.
