Maybe they could put you in a new region of the Pokemon universe where the rules are different than the standard 8 badges, elite 4 win formula.

Maybe it could be something similar to the Orange Islands arc in the anime.

Or maybe they could do something radically different and have you play as a gym leader or as a member of the elite 4, chronicling your journey up through the ranks to get to the position you are at now.

Pokemon isn't really a violent series, so adding in gratuitous violence isn't going to do anything to move the series forward.

I hate that game, there is nothing lamer then circling Pokemon 30 times to only have them be your friend for like 5 minutes. It's almost as bad as being a Pokemon, right Mystery Dungeon?
Pokemon games get way too repetitive, especially the Red,Blue,Gold ect... ones, Its like Catch Pokemon, go to Gym, Catch Pokemon, go to next Gym ect.. with lame obstacles in the way.
Here's an idea: How about a game where you play as a police officer in the Pokemon world. You go around solving mysteries and beating the snot out of Team Rocket (or whatever crime syndicate is in the region). However, instead of catching pokemon, you choose a team of [insert arbitrary number here] pokemon from your police station's stable that you think will best help you complete a certain mission. For instance, if your mission is to interrogate a suspect, you may choose pokemon like Drowsee (to hypnotize him), Butterfree (to pollen him into spilling the truth), or Machamp (to pound on his gonads until he tells you what you want to know. However, if your mission is to launch a sting operation, you'll likely choose really tough pokemon that will win the fights that lie ahead.

You start off as a lowly sheriff's deputy in a small town, with a small stable of pokemon, and relatively easy missions (find X missing item, round up the ornery town drunk and put him in the drunk tank, break up the occasional illicit pokemon fight, etc). As you play, however, you move on to larger towns, with bigger problems and more diverse selections of pokemon to choose from. Eventually, you will prevent acts of pokemon related terrorism (think Jack Bauer with a Kengaskhan), and storm the main headquarters of the bad guys to bring them to justice.

It's a crazy idea, but it beats yet another "Catch Pokemon, fight, win, repeat" Pokemon game, right?
As ridiculous as that is...

That sounds AWESOME.
Your idea sounds exactly like Pokemon Ranger, except with more Officer Jenny, and less circling.

playing three matches in a row where your teammate leaves carp blows
went down to 30 now (and my two wins don't even raise my rank, bull)

Seriously?

I've played a very small amount of Team Doubles games and I'm already a level 42.

You need a consistent partner for that playlist, luckily mine stayed positive in the games we played.
Yeah man, Media Molecule has already announced that they're going to be offering purchasable Sackboys.

Yeah I lost maybe two games going from 1-30
Then my partners start sucking and getting negative KDRs or just quitting.
I've played atleast 15 games since my 30 and have only managed to get up to 34. Now sitting at 31.

I was just on ranked halo 3 doubles

After being bummed out about being back down at 31, I had some luck.
Round 1, win, nothing worth mentioning ... stay at 31, odd
Round 2, win, bounce up to 34 ... alrighty, sweet
Round 3, going for my 35, were up 3 to 1, then my partner quits..at this point I was panicking, I thought I was going to loose and get bumped down.
It was on the pit, so I went straight for the sword and just waited for them to come, to knock off some time. They stuck together as a team so when I saw two red dots I was worried. Turns out they had all the good equipment. I lunge and kill the one guy, the other fires a rocket and we all die. I respawn and rush to get the weapons back, they meets me there, I spam some nades and back them off, grab my weapons and retreat back.
Played the rest of the game in the same way, when I got a kill they killed me at the same time. End result was 8-5.
I didn't go up to 35 (which is dumb because it was 1vs2) but whatever, still made my night.

Edit: they were really mad too rofl

(i hope someone finds these little stories interesting)

I hate when that happens.
I loled at the fact that Kim Kardashian (I butchered that last name...) is playable in FaceBreaker. Wow EA just opened a whole other market with that...
Holy carp you guys, Braid is amazing.

Consider this another winner for the XBLA. I hope we get more excellent games like this in the future instead of garbage like Yaris and Frogger 2. Ugh.

Who would've thought downloadable games would be the ones to save us from the summer drought?

And there's more to come. Bionic Commando Rearmed next week, then the new Galaga Legions remake and finally, what's likely to be the best of them all, Castle Crashers.

I really just hope Castle Crashers doesn't end up costing 1,800 MS points ($20 USD) like its rumored to. I will cry, especially since I'll end up buying it anyway. lmao
Come on EA, a C-list Celebrity Fighting game, really?

Who doesn't want to beat the hell out of Tila Tequila as Kim Kardashian?

Though, from what I've seen, the Kardashian model doesn't have anywhere near enough carp.
wow, my internet really bummed out today.
sorry artie, didnt mean to leave like that.
so i was just sorting through the stuff on my ps2 memory card, and, being the overtired silly that i am, i accidentally deleted my GT4 file d;sj;gadfhgfdjs
