They made FR/LG for a way to get the Pokémon to finish the games, but there's no need for G/S/C remakes. Besides, if you want to play Gold/Silver so much, play the originals which are still good or Shiny Gold?

I'm not against it in any way, I'm just saying we've got all we need already really. ^^

Money. O: That and it's a really smart move of them considering the recent launch of the DSi. Before you could get the previous gen Pokémon from playing the GBA games but with there being no GBA slot on the DSi well...

Not to mention that 90% of G/S/C cartridges are dead now due to the internal battery running constantly to keep the in-game clock going. If there are any that still work these days I'll be impressed.

That and the second gen starters are a real pain in the butt to get without hacking them. :[
My Crystal still works. Grin I think. ^^;

Still, I reeeaaally want a G/S/C remake but I would have much preferred it on the GBA. Unhappy FR and LG were perfect for me. The graphics and music were all new and bright but it still had a nostalgic air to it. I don't really want them to be all 3D and stuff. Unhappy

Money. It seems to be all nintendo look for nowadays. I'm rapidly losing my respect for them, and I don't even have good old NOM for the lulz. Just ONM who can just piss off imo. (NOM = Nintendo Official Magazine)

My gold silver and crystal all work. the internal battery ran dry on one a year or two back and I sent it to nintendo who replaced it for free. They're obliged to do so.

What about Stadium/2? those were in 3D. <3
^ Doesn't count. It would be odd for a home console Pokémon game not to have a certain amount of 3D. Tongue_out

btw there is a gold fan remake and its pretty good. its using fire reds engine. try searching google for it: shiny gold is the name.

Profit is the end goal for any business. They're not making games for the fun of it. Neither is Sony nor is Microsoft. They are making them to create a return for their shareholders. Stop trying to make them seem like the villain. The argument is getting kind of old.

Creating software and hardware for consumers is merely a means to create revenue.

I'm not trying to make them seem like the villain, I'm just saying that I think carp like Wii fit and stuff is beginning to ruin their reputation in my eyes.

Obviously as a way to make money, nintendo have succeeded. That doesn't mean what they've produced is GOOD though. =/

My gosh, I nearly forgot about my most anticipated Wii game of 2009. It's sad that this will likely be the franchise's swan song.

this is going to be the most popular wii game?
I totally forgot about Klonoa! So cute as well. :3
i havent even heard of the game when does it come out?
Looking through the Wii game lists, there are some good things there (Disaster, Fatal Frame IV, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, Mushroom Men,etc.) but most haven't seen release in North America, or have got really silent releases. I can only blame Nintendo of America for that.

I think you misunderstood me. "My most anicipated" means something I've been waiting a while for.

It's out tommorrow in North America for $30 in the US.

And I'm not suprised you haven't heard of Klonoa, the franchise isn't popular outside of Japan. The sales for this Wii game in Japan have been abysmal, thus I think this is the last time we'll see Klonoa. Atleast in the immediate future.
ah so you just really wont to play and thnks for the info, what can you tell me about the game like what do you do?
It's a nice colourful 2.5D platformer. The wiki page can give it more justice since I haven't played a Klonoa game since like 2003. Here.

NOA has apparently opted to not release Fatal Frame IV in NA (or outside Japan, I forget), and I don't think anything has been said about Disaster...

Klonoa has always interested me, but I have never gotten to play one of them. The Wii remake looks great, so maybe I will pick that up sometime.
So I bought GTA: Chinatown Wars, FF Tactics A2 and Chrono Trigger when I got my DSi at the beginning of last month and I still haven't played any of them. lmao

Fatal Frame IV may find it's way into Europe. But it likely won't find itself in North America. Since NoA doesn't want to sully it's casual, and mainstream reputation by publishing a (likely to be) M-Rated game. And because Nintendo of Japan partly paid for creating the game, Tecmo legally can't publish it themselves without approval from the local Nintendo companies.

Disaster: Day Of Crisis sold horribley in Japan, NoA said they'd wait until European numbers come out to determine if they should bring the game to North America. Needless to say if we don't hear about Disaster at E3, the game's North American release has been cancelled.

But there are a lot of cool and good Wii games that thus far are exclusive to either Japan or Europe. It's sad that the largest market for the console doesn't have the largest amount of good games for it.
HAHAHHAHAHHAHA best kotaku comment on a post about fallout 3

Quote:Good job Bethesda. Now fix the damn bugs in the Ps3 version!!

Wow, I couldn't find a single copy of Klonoa or Patapon 2 today. EB Games has it for $35 CDN. I called up a Best Buy said they didn't have it, but they may get it in for $49. That's $20 more then US retail. GARHAH (Last part is in terms of Klonoa)
isnt patapon 2 download only or sumthin

Sony's releasing a empty case with a voucher inside to retail chains.
Well that's a nuisance.
