Roan Wrote:The Wii is carp garbage for gamers who have interests like Artie and I do.

Both Artie and I haven't touched our Wii's (LOLOLO THIS IS ANOTHER REASON I DESPISE THE SYSTEM) in months. Why keep them if we aren't using them when we could cash in on them now and get something we'll use?

I think deciding to keep it is just stupid.

I guess you're right, right now is probably the best time to sell it with everyone trying to find one. If you don't like the games on a console, why keep it? There is no reason, so in Artie's case it would be a good idea to sell it. I was just saying what I did because you don't know what the future holds and he could regret it after a while (not saying that he will, but maybe).
That's true. I have ended up regretting trading in a console before (my PS2).

But I honestly don't foresee that happening with the Wii. I'm selling mine as well, and as far as I'm concerned, good riddance. I took a look at an '08 release list for Wii and not a damn thing catches my interest; no, not even Nintendo fans beloved SSBB. No More Heroes looks slightly interesting, but I'm not holding on to my Wii for that game, especially considering how bad it tanked over in it's homeland.

The '08 release list is bleak at best. :\

That is, unless you're looking forward to Wii Play 2 or whatever carp Nintendo will come out with next.
I don't really need anything really, but why not sell it when it's still a fad.

I like playing games online. I like games that look better than last generation. I don't like half-assed motion controls. I don't like how Nintendo treats its fanbase.

Could I regret it? Very possible. But if there are no games in 08 that I want for Wii, and some a lot in 08 and some in 09 for Ps3/360...

Choice is kinda clear Uncertain

If we're speaking my interests, I have a lot to look forward to. SSBB and No More Heroes as you mentioned. NMH was geared to a more western audience anyways and if it is any consolation, I think I read somewhere that NMH did/is doing well for a Suda 51 game. Also, it doesn't help that the launch party they held in Japan was on a Thursday morning. Despite all this, I've heard good reviews about it. Aside from those two, I'm also looking forward to Mario Kart Wii, Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk, Wii Fit (sort of), and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity.

So far, I think those six games should keep me busy. Although, looking at it through the perspective of most 360/PS3 owners, I can see why it would suck.

Yeah, that is the smart thing to do in your case.

It all comes down to preference, I guess. Smile There is more games I'd like to buy on the Wii than 360/PS3, and vice-versa for you.
yeah none of those games sound appealing to me lol

also, before i play SMG so i can sell the wii, the last time i turned on my wii was in april...when i tried to play SPM and i couldnt. game was soo boring

You haven't played SMG yet? You're missing out! So much fun.
if the Wii does turn around, you'll be able to pick it up later for less than you sold it for Smile
Artie, how much are you selling your Wii for?
Mr. Toto Wrote:Artie, how much are you selling your Wii for?

Well, my sister wants one. Right now, I don't know if we could afford it though. Just wondering.

Surprisingly, the online mode for MoH: H2 for Wii is actually good. It's very easy to connect to (no Friend Codes!), you just need to sign in to or make a EA Nation account. I've experienced no lag so far (in matches with 20-something people), and I'm sure it would only be minimal at best in the full 32 player matches.

Right now, this is about as good as it gets for online Wii games and it proves what can be done with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

How's that voice chat? lol

i'm seriously considering buying this once it gets in europe

None, thankfully. xD

It's worth your money. Don't set your expectations to high though, but at the same time don't set them too low because it is a pretty good experience. It just could have been a lot better if EA put a little more effort into it (talking about the actual game, not the online which is perfect the way it is).

I imagine the Wii voice chat would sound something like this:
"Hay guys, my mammy god me dis fur kwismus. I call da snipa riful, you godda led me hab it. Aww, c'mawwwwn, I cawwed it! Lemme hab da sniba rivvul!
ABHFISDBFIOSDBHFSJIDBFKOBDJOFSBFSLBDFBHSDJOF GIMME DAT FUGGIN SNIBA RIFUL NOWASBFJIOSBFOSBDFJKOASBNJKLFASBNJFSBNDJKSFNJKLFNLSJK!"!!!!SDLN:KDFNSKL:N!!!"
(keep in mind I'm being generous, this is only marginally worse than what I hear on Live sometimes, minus the cussing and "ghetto/BRAWNX" accent.)
dad and i played a gametype with all swords on high ground

hahaha jumped and avoided his swing and swung while still in the air

kinda hard when you use the AC6 controller while dad used the regular controller

=/

That was the joke. You were going on about how the online mode is good and I... Forget it.

I was attempting to troll and you ruined it. T_T lol

Sorry Unhappy I just think voice chat isn't that good unless it's with friends.
yeah, voice chat is useless in games where you need to give orders to teammates quickly
Tamer Brad Wrote:yeah, voice chat is useless in games where you need to give orders to teammates quickly

If you're referring to MoH, it's not really necessary. Yeah, there is TDM, CTF and things like that but really, I don't think the fact that there isn't voice chat really detracts from the experience. In some other games though, I'm sure it's useful as long as people aren't complete idiots and swear every five seconds.
I was enjoying the Wii Zapper (playing Link's Crossbow Training), that is until I tried Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles with it.
Not so much fun.

Without the Zapper, (which also means without the nunchuck), its more fun (but I'm finding myself a bit less accurate since I don't have the stability of the Zapper's gun-like handle. and my hand isn't completely steady)
