AND make it impossible to play a game you already played on one console on your friend's console or something.
AND makes the Kinect a REQUIRED PURCHASE, apparently!
AND Internet is required CONSTANTLY!!
Seriously, I don't see a SINGLE thing that's better about the Xbox One! What the hell!?
Here's a lil' vid summing up the whole reveal pretty well:
1. That's because no money from used games makes it back to the publishers at all. Gamestop is pocketing billions because of that.
2. Basically your friend has to buy the game and it is shared with all profiles on one Xbox
3. Who didn't expect this? Kinect 2.0 looks amazing anyway, so I don't mind. they really improved it's capabilities.
4. Misunderstanding, it isn't constantly required, You can play single player games offline, the system basically pings the internet to see if you are connected. Blame every single person who modded in COD because this is Microsoft's attempt to stop modders.
5. Literally every piece of hardware in the machine.
Not trying to rag on you, Dude, I just think you are overreacting.
Essentially this console is the anti-modder, anti-piracy, response from Microsoft meant to appeal to more than just gamers. I 'm not picking sides because console wars are the epitome of stupidity. The PS4 and Xbox One are more or less using the same hardware with different software.....
Don't be so quick to judge the Xbox One though, neither system is backwards compatible and there are rumors going around that Sony might be doing the same thing with used games that Xbox is, they just haven't announced it yet.
Apparently the reveal intentionally left out games until E3. It makes sense in context, why announce 15 games when E3 is right around the corner?
Bottom Line.
Who cares about the look? PS3s and Xbox 360s are honestly ugly already, at least you know what the Xbox one looks like. Its a black box, if it looks like a VCR than so does the PS2 and NOBODY complains about that. It was a bad press release, oh well, it's happened in the past, it'll continue in the future. Don't judge a console based on rumors, the leading cause of all the misunderstandings with these next gen consoles. Wait until you see the machines in action before you declare them to be amazing or terrible.
The state of modern gaming honestly saddens me, and the gamers are as much of a problem as the corporations. I remember the pre-console wars days when you got a console and played it at home with friends, no HD, no Blu-Ray, no "PC Master Race", no online play, just you, 2-4 controllers, a split screen and fun. Now its just gamers at each other's throats because of differing opinions and nobody can agree to disagree because everybody has to be right.
