For this series, the gameplay is of no consequence to me; I am just interested in the story.

One of the people working on the game mentioned it would be the last in the series, but I am having a hard time believing that. Considering the name of the game though, it would make sense.

I had to actually think about where I was, and where exactly I needed to go. This is what happens when you put this game down 'temporarily', and that 'temporarily' becomes 4 months.

Ahaha, I get this most everytime I put down Pokémon. Or any other game for that matter. But I usually end up restarting the game. Then I have a spurt again, get to around the same place as before and 'put it down for a bit'. And thus the cycle continues.
Only games I haven't done this with are PKMN:FR and HM:FOMT. <3
hello everyone. so just wanted to say that the new mfb ds is great. i really liked it. i reached the final boss with about 4-5 days. but i couldnt beat him.

Heard about this yesterday. It's nice for Nintendo to do something like that!
I wasn't here yesterday cuz I was playing the water temple in TLOZ: OoT without help. I did it, but got stuck a few times. Took about 3 hours. It almost took me as long to figure out how to get under the well (my brother told me how about 2 hours in, lol). Yeah, then it froze up, now I have to do the well over.
Majora's Mask - Nintendo's Fluke

One of the most interesting video game related articles I've read in a while. I have admittedly never been a huge Zelda fan, but reading this has made me interested in going back to seriously play Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask (I own the GCN disc with both of them on it woo). It has given me a lot to think about.

Jamie Love of Toronto Thumbs posted a response to this article. I've only skimmed over a few parts, but it seems intriguing. I'll need to give it a read soon.

Both of these articles are awesome (moreso the first one rather than the response) and everyone should read them.

I love Majora's Mask to death, but honestly a lot of what that guy had to say about the game and its mature overtones, in my own personal opinion (which I fully expect to be flamed for, as always), could be applied to Twilight Princess.

Yes, the game was largely Ocarina of Time made pretty for the new batch of consoles, but thematically it was in stark contrast to the usual direction of Zelda titles. Throughout my entire experience with the game, the world of Hyrule always felt dark, lonely and oppressive, especially in the Twilight realm.

When Link is turned into the wolf I instantly felt hampered and limited in my abilities, and it drew up a sense of hopelessness in me. Laugh at me all you wish, but I really do feel that the story line in Twilight Princess as well as the theme, setting and overall tone are strikingly similar to Majora's Mask, and that's really the reason I liked the game as much as I did. It felt like a Zelda title made for mature gamers, and it was this massive, epic game that really felt to me like an amazing culmination of the series highlights.

I know some of you will argue that the game didn't really try anything new, and that Link being morphed into a wolf isn't an innovation as it's been done in previous Zelda games, but what I have to say in response is that it's alright. Twilight Princess wasn't the breath of fresh air for the series that so many fans wanted, and I'm perfectly fine with that -- I thought, taken for what the game was and not the bloated expectations everyone had for it, it was an amazingly well crafted adventure that easily ranks in my top 3 Zelda games along with OoT and Majora's Mask.

Anyway, sort of got off on a tangent there, it just bothered me a bit to see this guy practically jerking MM off and then money shotting TP -- I think TP is the community's whipping boy and it gets a lot of hate that it doesn't deserve.
Wow Roan, after hearing that I really want to check out TP.
I was always going to wait to try it on Wii, but that isn't ever going to happen.

hey,man before you sell it, rent or borrow Killzone 2. Its really worth playing, esp. while you have the system

shrug
CAAARP
I can't beat Super Mario Bros. !
I want to go through it without the warp zones, and I always die at the fith Bowser castle.
Who has played it?
am i the only person who doesnt like "ratchet 4 deadlocked?" dont get me wrong its a good game but as a ratchet and clank game it is lacking in so many areas that its unbeleiveable.
1) there are fewer levels than previous games
2) it has fewer weapons than the first game!
3) the levels are linear and there is no exploration
4) the story is a "running man" rip off
5) no clank (wtf)
6) nearly no gadgets
7) no bonus items, platinum bolts or hidden bosses

thats just off the top of my head.

all over my face ubisoft

16 unique mission types? carp yes. sure beats the crappy 4 types the original had. even though i raged at the ending of the 1st, i will still buy 2

i really hope they'll have a better combat system..last time all i needed to do to beat any enemy was use counter. the last boss was as easy as a average guard
AC was one of my favorite games of 2007, I really hope this one improves upon it.

I'm excited by the setting, I've always had a fascination with the Da Vinci time period. I'm also really curious to see what they do with the story. I wonder if it will have any real continuity from the first game since they are literally centuries apart?
yeah AC sounds sick

pretty sad that my gaming interests are pretty much all sequels now that come out at sporadic times. i kind of got out of hardcore gaming Uncertain

That happened to me a couple of years ago. It got worse after I went to university. My 360 has not been used since Jan; I just don't feel compelled to play it much.
Im excited for this too. More variety sounds great, but i hope there no need to collect everything for trophies or achievements. would be sweet if sixaxis was used...
not to mention how stunning AC2 will look, hopefully they just punch up the dynamic range. colour feel muted some in AC.

I should finish the first, I think i have two assasinations to go. it'll feel pretty fresh since i haven't touched it in months
In the spirit of easter... well, you know...

Basically, I wonder how many more easter eggs nintendo includes? =]

I think there was one once where you fire the fairy slingshot into zelda's window in OoT and a red rupee comes out of it, or something of the sort.
