In terms of hardware, what console is most reliable? In Roans post, he said the 360 is bad and i have heard RROD is very common. Im still eyeing the MGS4 bundle. Opinions?
I think Microsoft sorta ironed out the RROD problems since theres new models for each system now ( all of them now have HDMI Ports ), but still RROD problems still pop up.
The PS3 is more reliable theres very few that screw up, weird though since my PS3 is one of them.
soo I was just playing some halo 3 with KoD (sorry to leave without letting you know)
went pretty well, besides me not having my mic
i'll dig that up tonight and maybe tomorrow we can try again with more people ?
i forgot how crazy a team deathmatch on sandtrap is, right at the beginning
where everyone has a vehicle and both sides just clash, pretty epic
same with Valhalla, half way into a round I was at the center of the map around where the mancannons launch you, waiting around for some targets to shoot at with my battle rifle,
when i saw 6 guys get launched from the blue base, all at once,
i looked around and saw ONE other teammate, and he was heading for some tree's to appear hidden,
so I did the same behind some rocks..once they passed us we started attacking from behind, I was shooting crazy with my brute shot and must have killed atleast 4 of them before dying
and i'm pretty sure my other teammate got one or two,

Yeah, BTB games are always hectic. I don't like going straight away for the vehicles at the start though, I mean, with randoms you're more likely to get lasered or blown up with the Missile Pod, so I tend to go for the laser myself if I can. Most of the time random drivers aren't reliable either (not like I'm a great wheelman or anything), but I've had guys going through the worst places, getting the hog to topple over or going straight into the middle of all the mess to get stuck by a plasma, etc..
You did pretty damn well in yesterday's matches btw =) Why don't you play more Ranked? I'm sure you'd be way over my highest skill level by now.

I doubt we'll get to the 7 billion kills (it's at 6,837,772,385 right now) by Bungie Day (7/7), but it's worth a try. Campaign is always fun to play through (except for Cortana).
EDIT: Not sure if anyone here reads the Bungie weekly update, but in the last that had info on the June playlist updates, it was mentioned that Ranked Big Team will hang around at least for another month and it'll stay a Double Exp playlist.
Oh, and the 2Flag Heavy game and map variants should be easier to come across now. I only got Valhalla Heavy and Standoff Heavy once last time. Both have 4 lasers, have teleporters, Valhalla has 2 Scorpions and Standoff 2 Gauss Hogs and Choppers added.

I left while you were still in my party, we got about 10 good games in though.

Your skill level only raises when you win Ranked matches and is also only taken into account while searching for other players when playing in Ranked.
When at a low skill level in most Ranked playlists, it usually takes one win for it to go up. As you get higher, it takes several wins in a row for your skill to go up. In the same way when you loose, it might go down, depending on your current skill level, how many matches you won since the last level up and who you faced. I think sometimes going up or down also has to do with the team the game expects to win/loose. For example, I had just got to 8 in RBTB after another win, then I lost a match, but my skill didn't go down because the game already expect our team to loose (total skill level of the other team was higher). Also, your skill can also go down if you tie in a game your team was expected to win (yeah, kinda dumb ). I think that's how it goes, but there's supposed to be some article in Bungie.net that fully explains the skill system.
Btw, has anyone here had any

I play guitar and bass irl and love playing the drums on rb.
Of course I'd play drums irl if I could get myself a kit.
And 360 pisses me off. Why can i not just plug a usb mouse and keyboard into the system for fps. Anyone who was pissed about how imbalanced it would be could just plug their own mouse/keyboard in. It makes too much sense.

Yeah, but after you get used to playing drums in RB, you don't ever want to go back to guitar/bass/vocals. They just aren't as fun.
Also, what's funny is that USB Keyboard/Mouse support is there for 360, you just can't use it for games, only for entering in info and navigation. To make things better, I think keyboard and mouse only work on the dashboard.

Nice. 50-13, man they were crushed. I got my 1st Running Riot in the Hog as well, but it was on a Social BTB match in Sandtrap instead.

One Bomb on Valhalla RBTB match yesterday where 5/8 people from our team left early to mid game. The other team already looked much better, then these carp decide to quit from the game....carp, I hate when this carp happens..

4 of my friends all jumped on the Halo bandwagon when they bought 360s. About a month later they all traded it in and went back to cod 4(which we had been playing on pc before hand).
Halo isn't really a bad game, I just can't understand how it's considered such a technical/ballin game. It just seems like a more noob friendly shooter to me.

when you start giving nicknames to locations that give you a strategic advantage, you know it's hardcore lol
i dunno...whenever ryan and i play it we just carp around on the mongoose
now we mostly play cod4
its just..fun. i mean its halo,can't really explain why.
