Agreed.

Anyway, about this new PSP... It's nice that they're finally embracing digital distribution in a serious fashion, but why the hell would they not include another analog nub? That's the number one complaint from most everyone I know who has used a PSP. Given the type of games that are made on the system, you would think a second analog nub would be a no-brainer, but apparently not. :\

Crying

Anyways, I don't understand why they wouldn't add another analog nub to a new PSP. Like you said Roan, it should be a no-brainer.
Nothing against you Kei; I just generally find the whole debate about systems to be a tad overdone.

To sort of start a new discussion, who here has played and loves Jet Set Radio Future/Jet Grind Radio? JSRF is seriously one of my favorite games of all times.

You could say that about a lot of entertainment industries lol

I want to try out Jet Grind Radio. I've been tempted to buy it for my Dreamcast.
Yeah, I don't have any beef with anybody over this either, I'm with Khel -- the whole topic is just getting incredibly old and I'm sick to death of seeing people argue over it.

I've played the hell out of JSRF. It was the first game I got with my Xbox 1, and the game that I bought the system for, actually. I never got to play JGR though. Was it as good?
I played it for a while; and it was good, but I preferred JSRF. It should be noted that I never really got into the Dreamcast, so there may be those who disagree with me.
roan are you serious? did you really leave vediogames Unhappy
i used to find you the one with the most knowledge about them in the forums.
btw i just updated my wii. they said now i can be able to get channels through the sd card! how can i do that?
I dont think he 'quit' videogames.
But holy **** the community is annoying, I don't blame him for dropping out of most of the conversations.
Most pages are just arguments forcing opinions on other people.
Discussing video games always leads to disagreements about something..

Yeah pretty much this.

I haven't really quit gaming, I've just taken more of an observationist role. I still play a mild amount of games but they aren't nearly as important to me as they used to be.

I read and watch more about games than I actually play them these days. lmao

yeah me too
Games have almost turned into a social thing for me. If I don't have anyone to play a game with then I'm really not interested in playing.

I still play some Gears 2 or Halo 3 online by myself every now and then if I'm bored, but I don't really even do that very much anymore. I have too much going on in my life right now to get so wrapped up in games like I used to be.
personally I just play games
and don't really discuss them
it works pretty well.
i cant stop playing halo3 online! its like every time i cant meet my friends, we go meet online and talk and play. its so addictive! and even when we meet, we go play halo together lol.

Yeah that's the cool part about games, when you have a close knit group of friends who are into the same things you are, who are playing the same games you are that you can discuss them with.

Playing games online with a few friends is still a blast, I just rarely ever can round up enough people to get a good game going. lmao

Yeah that's pretty much what I've started doing as well. The only real game I've been putting much time into recently has been Pokemon Platinum and I'm only playing that maybe an hour a week, if that. lmao I don't really talk much about it because there's not much to talk about, it's just something I play when I have free time and nothing more pressing to take care of.

EDIT: What's strange though is that I'm reading more about video games and listening to more podcasts about them as well despite the fact I'm playing less. I don't really know why but I like to keep myself "in the loop" as far as the industry goes. Even if you aren't playing games or don't have any interest in them, the video game industry is easily the most fascinating form of entertainment to watch from an economic/business standpoint.
hahahaha I've been playing platinum too. I made the stupid mistake of looking up to see how good my Pokemon were. I found out about EV's and IV's and natures and breeding and a bunch of carp I don't really care about, but now I feel inclined to look into it. Fuuuuuuuck.

Trust me, don't do it. If you aren't going to be battling competitively then it's completely a waste of time.

Hell, even if you are going to be battling competitively it's a waste of time. I hate that part of the game, honestly, and I wish they'd remove it or drastically alter it to make it more convenient for the player.

Holy carp, apparently we're the same person (minus podcasts-don't do podcasts) I really only play when I have some friends at my place.

yeah seriously once you look this stuff up you'll never enjoy the game again
i'm having a semi break from gaming too..only playing fifa 09 untill cod mw2 gets released
I'll probably start back up hardcore in gaming later this year when a bunch of games I want drop (BioShock 2, Assassin's Creed 2, etc.)
JSRF is by far one of the best gmes ever form Xbox, I loved it although the instant grinding thing gets anoying. I love cruising around in super cool levels. Smile
JSRF is amazing. That is a series that should have continued, or at least gotten remade for 360/PS3 with some DLC.

My paradise land called PlayStation will be on thin ice come a Go! PSP, or PSP Slide being download only. Besides, that was an jab that need not have been made, heck I wasn't the one who started this spat, and I wasn't even praising the word of the PlayStation. All I said was that 2009 was to be the PSP's comeback year. Later on I became very cautious about the prospects of this PSP Slide, or Go! PSP Digital Distribution only platform.

As well, Sony has a whole development studio for the casuals. That's where Singstar, Buzz, Eyetoy, etc. came from. Sony has been targeting the casuals forever. It's just these product were poorly marketed in the US, and were never the company's main focus (hence why they were poorly marketed).

Sony never had to put on a focus on the casuals because their platforms transcended boundaries without the need for gimmicks. You don't sell more then 230 million consoles in two gens without becoming mainstream, and acceptable by a casual audience. This is the first time that the casuals came before the hardcore(with the Wii that is).

Sony (I believe it was Tretton, or the guy who replaced Reeves) said Sony had their hardcore market.
