I actually agree with you in that. Althought i think fubuki could've been use better (thats the anime fault For semi teasing that he might get a big role). Lane is what fubuki could've been if he stayed with shu when it comes to strenght.
I want to agree with that, too. As much as I think Lain can be annoying and whatnot, I do appreciate that his dedication actually moves him somewhere. He actually does his best to get what he wants, so much that he could be seen as a prominent Blader. Unlike Fubuki, who didnt do a lot and was quite a wasted potential. As stated above, it really just seems he was a punching bag. And on a side note, Lain having a hedgehog is such a nice thing imo. Pets always make everything better and give personality to the human they accompany. Thus, he is pretty interesting and more thought-out than Fubuki
Just watched the Sparking finale subbed. If we're talking finale's alone it's really good, right behind Burst and God. The pay off with Shu and Lane winning teh first round was great and Shu throwing his jacket off was really good (Should've abandoned it and have his DB character not wear any Jackets but I digress). However simple fixes could have made a better overall season. Here they are in my opinion.
1. Lane Motivation
Just take the time to explain his motivation in whatever episode. I would have done it when he was making Lucifer The End. It just makes the character more interesting.
2. Equal Screen time
Give screen time to characters who didn't get much instead of waiting to make them interesting late in the show. (Examples: Drum and Sisco).
3. Consistent Power Scaling
I can forgive a battle or 2 with somewhat meh power scaling, they wouldn't have to redo every single faulty battle. However some stuff chould probably be fixed. For example have Lane hold is own during the Group A Battle Royale against all the beys but not win. Him holding on so long in a big onslaught shows how strong he is, while not making it to unbelievable.
4. Character Growth
They don't have to put in the protagonists character arcs, but I at least wanted some character growth for Hyuga starting around mid season. Hikaru had some starting their as well, but it took a bit for Hyuga.
I can only hope we get a Beyblade Burst Kai so they can do these fixes. It doesn't have to follow the manga step by step to be enjoyable imo, and ChoZ through Sparking isn't even that bad. But simple fixes would certainly accelerate the entire Series to new heights.
Just cause it's interesting to think about it, this would probably be my tier list if they remade ChoZ through Sparking and made them the best they could be.
1. Chozetsu
2. God
3. Sparking
4. Gachi
5. Burst

Even as someone who really likes Cho Z and considers it my favorite season, I can get where you're coming from on wanting it to be more like its manga equivalent. In particular I think Valt destroying Z Achilles might have been a better option for them to have taken, as it would've made Valt letting Aiga have the final battle with Phi later on be more natural, as well as giving Valt's role in the story more weight. On the other hand though, Phi destroying Z Achilles gives Aiga a more personal motivation to beat him later on. I could honestly go either way, personally.
Hot take: Rashad is going to be a better antagonist than Lean.

Is he even going to be the antagonist though? He seems more like the role Lui played in Cho Z to me, just an early obstacle for Bell to overcome

Maybe in the next episode the loss against Valt (I'm guessing he will lose) will affect his character and decides to go the dark way
A character can be an antagonist without being evil or dark.
As Admiral stated antigonist doesnt mean the character is evil. Their Just characters thats oppossed or come an conflict with the main characters goals or way of doing things. Just because one is an antigonist doesnt mean he/she is a true evil/villain

Favorite shots from the Burst Openings? Here's my top 3.
1. Phi in Chozetsu Muteki Blader
Each version is incredible. First he's calm. Then he's calm, but cut to Hyde and then he's mad. Then he's full on Dead Phoenix Phi. Foreshadows his character while looking amazing.
2. Red Eye in Evolution Burst
This shot combined with the lyrics of "Set your sights on reaching the top upon the greatest arena" really resonated with me for some reason.
3. Four Spin Emperors in Burst Finish
This shot is just iconic. Cool showcase of the 4, and really cool foreshadowing for Longinus.
My favorite part of the DB opening.

😑 as if that wasn't obvious
Burst Season 1: the Spin Emperors in the final op
God: Valkyrie vs Legend Spriggan in the 2nd op
Cho-Z: Achilles and Phoenix clash in the 2nd and final op
GT: Hell Tower scene in the 3rd OP
Sparking: Lanes Rage and Lucifer The Ends Limit Break animation in the final op
DB: Belial soaring through the skies with Bell, Rashad standing within a mythological structure and Valt and Bells clash
Favorite Openings from each generation
Favorite blader epithet? Ex: Shu's epithet is "The Crimson Flame." Bladers are usually refered to by these names as there called out for battle.

In fact, I'd like to add, villians are better and more interesting when they are "fighting" for a better cause. Villian's one twisted perspective on how the system of the world should be working. They are right about a lot of stuff, just that they have a twisted version of the system they're trying to preach upon the world; and how they are going to preach it. If it is introduced with violence, then of course it is a cosmically wrong but, the goal the antagonist is trying to impose actually might sort of help the "world" overall. If this was applied in beyblade, it would've been much better. A villian who wants to make a harder and more difficult beyblade system but is using brute skill and power to enforce it.
