There are NO strong female characters in burst (I'm a male) and they minimized the no. of female characters per season!
(Oct. 25, 2019  7:09 PM)faaaafnir Wrote: [ -> ]Also I just remembered Beywarriors Cyborg exists. Did anyone watch it? If so, how was it? The artstyle actually looks nice(better than MFB’s artstyle IMO) compared to Beywarriors Raiders.

What little I saw of it was surprisingly good.  It was similar in tone to the Battlestar Galactica series that ran from 2004 to 2009.  A lot of love was put into it.  It was beautifully drawn and the characters' emotions came across with realism.  A bitter war for survival was a goal I could care about and an unusual setting for a beyblade anime.

There was a funny moment early in the show when someone actually said something like "These beywarriors could save humanity... Or they could just be some kids' toys."  That got a LOL out of me.   That said though, I cannot stand characters fighting over "tokens."  That word will forever hearken back to days at Chuck E. Cheese when I badgered my poor mother for more games of skee ball.

I honestly hope the complete dub will be unearthed someday.
Yes Netflix's I'm still watching beyblades!!
What I wish I knew was why beyblade videos are getting taken down now and not then. They even copyrighted a parody beyblade youtuber even though it was under fair use. Does Japan even have fair use in their copyright laws?

Sometimes when people make AMV videos, the videos get taken down because they are using footage of newly released episodes (which is considered pirating because you are reuploading something that is new and is aired for money, and is protected by law). Beyblade is a trademark and franchise of a common, so theres a good chance videos involving anime footage will be removed, as it is not listed as Creative Commons (CC is a term for pics and videos people are allowed to use, such as stock images)

Sometimes, especially with Youtube, videos are taken down WITHOUT even having companies involved. Youtube sometimes has purges where they delete a bunch of “copyrighted” videos, even if they follow the rules and/or are parodies. Other times, the companies genuinely do not want their anime’s episodes being recorded and put onto the internet, especially if the episode recently aired

Parodies are only protected if 80% of the content is original, while the 20% mimics the original. What do you mean by “parody” specifically? If you mean a live action remake, then it shouldnt be taken down. However, if you mean “abridged” episodes and edited videos (such as AMV or PMV), then those may not be protected, as you are stealing BOTH the anime episode and music

Most countries abide by creative copyrights, allowing everyone equal protection from plagiarism, pirating, and copying. Japan should be able to follow similar laws, and would prevent recently aired episodes being passed around as AMVs, leaks, pirated videos, etc

I am not sure if I answered all your questions, as what you wanted to know was general and may not apply to all or certain scenarios

It was a live action thing. The person used the evolution intro in the beginning of each episode. I'm not sure if That's why.

Oof, I guess thats why then. Burst is still a series that is ongoing and still selling, so its reasonable for them to take down stolen content Unhappy
Happy Veteran’s Day ?? and Happy Birthday Free ???
Yay! Free’s birthday!
Saw some people saying either Toko and/or Kitt should've been the protagonists of Choz. That'd actually be pretty interesting. Toko still had a lot of potential to growth, and Kitt kinda defied the "Stamina types don't make interesting battles" belief of its socks.
I agree. Id rather have a familiar new protagonist instead of a floppy newly created one
If I had to choose between toko and kit I would've defently go with toko for the he has a big brother that Is a world champ and is also fan of a world champ caliber blader which is shu and also have Nika be a blader and share the main character status with her brother for both cho z and gt . They can keep everyone else around just make drum and aiga major rivals and still have everyone else do what they did an cho z same with gt . Would've been fun to see
A really like the idea of Toko and/or Kit being a main character. It would be nice to see some stamina type love (even though it's my least favorite type)
Id honestly have Toko over Kitt. Its because Toko has established characteristics that most Burst viewers are familiar with, and that makes Toko an interesting character to follow. Kitt is good too but we dont know much about him, making him almost too newly created to follow with

agree plus toko looks more interesting honestly although kit was good he was kind of boring bladers didn't have that heat type of bladers . while toko was heated when he battle at least for me.
Ill admit that I actually lost interest in the Burst anime after Turbo’s end. Everything after Turbo didnt appeal to me
Just dumping this in but I've looked back at the original trilogy, the first season, V-Force and G-Revolution and whilst I absolutely loved the first season and G-Revolution back then, I don't think they've aged that well for me.

Don't get me wrong, they're still an enjoyable ride and G-Revolution and the first season, to a degree are still one of the most enjoyable seasons of the franchise but as a trilogy, they're just so much more flawed than I remembered them to be. They sometimes teach morals that they later contradict, the animation has aged even worse than it already has (and the first season's animation weren't that good to begin with) and there's always some noticeable inconsistency in the writing.

They're both good for their entertainment factor and feeling like a sport but from an objective stand point, there's a lot of factors that haven't aged that well.

Us being kids, I doubt most of us noticed them when we were really young and not old enough to comprehend. After all, we used to watch shows for the entertainment value. Now that we are old enough to pick out things and analyze them, what you pointed out are really bothersome and make us go “How did I not notice this before?” But then again, original stuff are a little choppy but  still a classic. Original and first installment series are always the first go, and I think that maybe the writers got better along the way. Sometimes, writers and studios learn a thing or two from their first work, and use these lessons as how to get better later on

But, oh boy, funny and choppy stuff you cannot un-see and un-know!

I never really saw anything before mfb. But can we all agree that one of the most annoying things in the anime is wrong types?

What do you mean by wrong types? As in, Attack/Stamina/Balance/Defense types? I dont quite understand

Yeah. The anime labeled gemios as a stamina type(balance), variares as attack(defense), and stuff like that.

It's an issue in MFB but it wasn't that bad, it only happened like three times. One where Tsubasa claimed Aquila/Eagle was a defense type, Gemios being called a stamina type (even though Eagle and Gemios are balance types) and Variares as an attack type (even though it's a defense type).

Even so, it didn't really affect anything story-wise so I didn't mind it that much. Just the writers making a little mistake.

I think Burst is the only season that's 100% consistent when it came to the Beyblade types. They're the most blatant in terms of being a toy commercial anime so it's no surprise they needed to make sure they got every facts about the bey accurate.
The saddest thing about toyatic anime will always be the fact that the anime is meant to promote the toys. Of course there would be little effort on plot but great effort on trying to make a Bey seem cool
I want new anime and Ryuga(of beyblade metal series) being its main character because I think the death of Ryuga isn't the end so please approve this request. I want to see the legend flourishing not dying...
Here’s a hot take. I think the Area Selection Tournament is hands down the weakest arc of season 1. With the exception of Nika, Toko, Chiharu, Daina, Shu, and Zac, and everyone joining the Beyclub at the end, this arc could’ve been much better.

A Block: Valt’s Super Awakening arc was handled far better in the Team Tournament than here. Like I get that he needed to master it; but because he spent so much time trying and failing to do it in matches, it kinda undercut all of his major battles in this arc since he wasn’t treating his opponents more seriously. Ukyo vs Valt should’ve had way more weight to Valt since he beat both members of his team, Rantaro was training to beat his butt off, and Orochi gave his best friend trouble. Instead we get 1-2 wins that undercut his skill: Like Rantaro gets a point because Valkyrie self destructed? Like he’s gotten points off of Valt before. And Orochi is kinda fair game because Valt was kinda going through his “my best friend left the club” phase, but they could’ve at least made either round tense instead of “Valt screws up and easily loses, Valt gets confidence back and obliterates with the Incomplete Super Awakening” thrice in a row. Or that’s my Orochi bias. Doesn’t help Valt forgot how to use his strongest Special Move after the Sword Flames arc.

Block C: I don’t agree with Bluewolf thinking that arc is filler, but it’s funny Valt, Wakiya, and Orochi were all able to make to the team tournament but Orochi was the only one not to qualify for the individual tournament, but that aside. So what was wrong with every post Daina vs Yugo (stop changing it to Yugi autocorrect Google) Match? Pacing:
Hoji’s plan against Wakiya was really creative. But they could’ve at least had both of them go at it and each get one point before that.
Daina vs Yugo I’m not gonna argue about since he was doubting himself (and we got the Daina vs Wakiya battle in the next arc), its Yugo vs Wakiya that bothers me. Like the fight was over in just one hit. I don’t want to get into power scaling (because its not the community for it) but Yggdrasil has tanked hits from Spriggan and gotten points off Valkyrie and Kerbeus. Without taking stamina>defense into account, Yggdrasil’s main ability to counter attack plus the friction from the driver can reduce the damage Shield Crash takes. I get it, Wakiya has to win this for the sake of the plot and he’s stronger overall but as the last match of this tournament and Yugo’s second to last battle, it feels cheap and rushed that it only lasts for 30 seconds and its a Burst finish at that. At least have Yugo battle hard enough to threaten Wakiya first but still. (Sorry for the run ons, that was on my chest for the longest time)

And ignoring Blocks B and D like the writers did, this arc is still enjoyable. I don’t hate it, it just wasn’t that great as I remembered it being. And now I can say I don’t hate Yugo’s character anymore, he was just underutilized and downplayed. Thanks Area Selection Tournament, you finally made me like Yugo.
