Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST

This is a case where traffic cameras come in handy. Hopefully there was one nearby, and the police can use the footage to catch this idiot.
Hope you get better and catch that jerk, OwnageDerp.

Now, to my problem.

I have all of this for homework due tomorrow.

Reading Response (easy, did it)
Math Label every angle possible in a picture with over half the alphabet and whether it's obtuse, acute, etc.
Science News thingy where i have to write all about something new in science (I love science, my teacher ruins it)
MATH PROJECT THAT I HAVE NOT STARTED Rough draft about mathematician Elbert Frank Cox, who was apparently the first African American to get a degree in Mathematics.
I don't know if this would go either here or the WBO Random Thoughts thread but anyways, Would this look like a warm, and welcoming bio for my profile?

my Bio is really really long and unorganized :\. I'm always updating it XD
Baseball practice went well today. Its weird with the weather outdoors, when we have 40 inches of snow more than the last two years at this time.
Good news about the driver who possibly could have killed me:
He got off scot free, because he had an unregistered vehicle. Why aren't there any tickets for that? My dad already debunked the branded plate number, come to think of it, this quote comes in handy:
The law is powerless to help you, but not punish you. -Cheif Wiggum (The Simpsons)

Oh there are laws against that but I think the problem was locating and guaranteeing it was him behind the wheel. but anyways yes that does suck, but you are ok so try to think of the brighter side of things instead of boiling in vengeance which will only make you even more upset.
Yes, none of us need you turning into Batderp and beating down careless drivers while your parents are still alive. But yeah, I'v got to make two school appropriate expirements about DNA for Biology.
Ok so I just finished my finals, and I'm kinda worried.

English: Got a B, which sucks, since if I'd done well it would've brought me up to a solid A.
Geometry: 16 question final=bad. No one even finished the test, save one kid. I'm not sure how well I did, but I'm honestly just praying for a low B even. Hopefully my grade won't drop from the B I have. Funny thing is, the final was worth less points than this one worksheet in french.
French: Yah so I didn't do to hot on my last two assignments, bringing me down to a B. The final seemed easy enough, and being 140 points (I think), as long as I did as well as I think I did I may even be able to get an A in the class.

Then there's chemistry, history, and religion tomorrow. Chemistry is gonna be torture.
lol I got C's and B's throughout year 10-12 english after doing really well every year before that. During year 10 I got top in state for a standard English assessment for my year in which there were no texts to study beforehand while not even managing a pass mark for that semester, in year 12, I basically aced the state exam (>90% or something) and did at least 20% better on almost every externally marked assessment (plus my in-class speeches and stuff were all extremely entertaining according to class members despite again, all b's, c's and one where my powerpoint failed leaving me having to improv basically a whole speech (which was entertaining but admittedly not the most informative speech I ever gave) was a D. ) and English went from a low B to my top subject at an A, thanks mostly to the state exam having a 50% weighting or thereabouts.

My head of english learning area and year 11-12 english teacher had "twilight series" as one of her favourite books on facebook.

It's amazing how you can make a student fail just by giving them horrendously dull texts, treating them like dirt and having a very narrow-minded view of the aim of any given assignment (i.e. if it seems at all entertaining, fail it.)

I sent her an email after I got my marks to gloat and she never responded lol.

tl;dr don't take it too seriously, best of luck with the rest of them, my method was Cram like heck (poor study habits) and then stay calm and collected for the exam - breathing exercises and all that. Worked out for me anyway.

Didn't see this, but if you still have to do it, there's a fairly simple experiment where you extract DNA from a kiwi fruit which mainly uses household supplies (only hard to get thing is the alcohol, really). Dunno about the other one but the kiwi fruit thing is a pretty neat experiment, pulling out these slimy white strands or whatever haha.

These days pretty much any DIY Experiment assignment is a freebie thanks to google tbh

I got a B on my calc exam, which dropped my grade pretty badly. The test only had 20 problems though, so it was pretty harsh if you missed a few.
o boi o boi u say final exam stress i am there

I have slightly above an 80% on two courses that I'm worried about (math and physics). The exams are worth 30% each so basically I am screwed if I mess up on the exams. I will definitely drop a couple percent and if I drop below an 80%, then I will cry (a lot).

Good news is that my physics mark may go up slightly when she adds in the mark I got for the summative assignment. As for the math, there is an open book "semi-exam" tomorrow and the next day. Hopefully these will bring up my mark to the 85%-87% range.

I'll still have to try really hard on the exams to keep my marks above the 80% cut-off though Pinching_eyes_2
Having recently finished year 12 myself all I can say is after having done your exams there's nothing more you can do so it's best not to worry about it (easier said than done).

I'll admit after I finished my exams though I was worried as heck; BUT when the results came the other day I did significantly better than I had anticipated (top 1.25% of australia Tongue_out). So, you just have to put it behind you now and focus on your upcoming exams (because worrying can just make matters worse). Smile
Not to flip the subject, but there has been an uprising of earthquakes around me... Not to mention thàt the Northridge earthquake is gonna hit its Anniversiary, there was an earthquake in Hollister, CA (not affiliated with the company) yesturday, and IIRC, there was one a few weeks ago, and at 1:30 AM last night, there was a 4.4 (I think, not sure) I guess that's what happens when our weather is the envy of the United States.

We don't have any natural disasters here in Melbourne except for possibly bushfires (which may have even been purposely lit for god knows what reason). Hope you will be ok though Smile

This week has set a heat record since a century ago with it looming around the 40 degree mark for the past 4 days. Today it reached a max of 44 Celsius degrees which is just ridiculous, especially that the Australian Open is currently going on here as well.
So I was watching Oreimo a couple days ago & I felt like despite the main character being interested in something entirely different from Beyblade, I could relate to the theme of hiding a hobby from other people. Just thought I'd drop this screencap here because I feel like it's sort of motivational for a number of interests.
O boi I have finals in just 2-3 hours for writing, *shudders* let me ace this guys! and then music and social studies... >.>
So my final grades ended up like this:
English- Final: B, Overall: B (.5 % away from an A!!!)
Geometry- Final: D, Overall: C (This was absolutely horrid. No one was able to even finish the final! Even with the pathetic final grade I was 1% from a B)
Religion- Final: A, Overall: A
French- Final: A, Overall: B (1% away from an A)
History- Final: A, Overall: B (1% away from an A)
Chemistry- Final: B, Overall: B

I'm pretty upset with these, especially Geometry. Ironically, I only studied about ten minutes for english, religion, French, and history, and about an hour for chemistry and geometry. My life is backwards...
Also my study habits suck.
I feel that I did pretty well on my first day of finals. And I got a 96 in my music final! Grin
I tested into a selective enrollment school last weekend. The questions were easy, but I second guessed myself a few times. I hope I get in, it's an awesome school!
Can I ask which school? Because it'd be pretty cool if it was my grammar school.
I tested into the following schools, but I doubt they'd be yours. We live pretty far away from Niles.

Whitney Young
Lane Tech
Lindbloom
Kenwood
One I forget
Watched the Grammys tonight. It was alright, not too bad. Loved how much Daft Punk won, and it's pretty cool that Vampire Weekend won something too (like, really cool).
But can we all just take a moment to talk about this hug? (Click to View)
What are...those?
I don't usually watch the Grammys, because its mostly modern music, which is ew.
Actually, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney did a performance together, not to mention individually, too. And plus, what's wrong with modern music?
