and then there is the change of Variant to Vex which isn't a bad redub but it doesnt make any sense when you think about it. and then there is Curse which by hasbro standards has a bit of a darker meaning than everything else mentioned in this thread.
why change Variant which has no bad meaning but not change Curse which if anything has similar meaning to Vex.

Yeah, honestly, Hasbro's being way too careful these days, Satomb had a good reason to be translated because of the meaning behind its JAP name but Volcano to Blazebringer? There's no good reason why not to keep it the same, though Volcanoes can cause massive damage they didn't change Apocalypse and Apocalypse literally means the End Of The World! Nothing's left everything's destroyed, you can keep that but not Dynamite or Volcano? Hasbro, you make my brain hurt.
You still don't understand that Hasbro actually isn't responsible for the name changes of Beyblades and Characters in general right? 🤔

I'm not saying I don't like the name Blazebringer (The Bringer names are one of my favorite dub changes, Especially Blazebringer) but I'm just saying that the name change was unnecessary.

They wanted to change it because they can lol. If every Hasbro Beyblade was named the same and retained the exact same properties of TT counterparts, they'd be no more than cheaper copies, no?

Pro Series in a nutshell Touche. Though I wish the names and the Beys were better

As do we all. Expect less, and you won't be disappointed. I like to think of the names as a translation, so it doesn't bother me too much. The beys are just cheap. They're meant for a Hasbro world, if TT were not here, there'd be nothing to compare it to. That's their goal.

Kept Genesis and Apocalypse
Well, Genesis and Apocalypse really doesn’t have an association with religion. Genesis is a beginning simply put while apocalypse is the end of the world.
Apocalypse isn't always used in the religious context of the world ending, but it still carries the same meaning. Genesis on the other hand, is undeniable. Literally every single time it gets brought up, its always used in a religious context. Hell, just using google search alone, you're bombarded by it. Though I guess you can blame the bible for this being the case.

Doesn't really change the fact that most of the name changes were dumb. I don't really care much for the first part of the names(Mirage, Victory, Nightmare, etc.), but the actual main name changes were bad, because they are literally making up words and names that don't exist. Drivers, while a bit unrelated are even worse because them adding an ing or er to the original name just sounds so cringe and unnecessary.
Back in MFB, most of their name changes made sense and were actually cleverly censored in some cases, such as changing Hell to Hades. It ended up more or less having the same meaning as the original despite the change because in Greek Hades doesn't just refer to the god of the underworld, but also the underworld itself. So in that sense Hell=Hades=Underworld, but at the same time the real meaning was hidden compared to hell, and yet still carried the same meaning.
The rest were more or less just Hasbro or whoever was in charge with the English dub changing the Japanese names back to their original spelling/translation. Since a lot of them were altered intentionally or otherwise due to screwing up the katakana spelling.

You realize asking this is weird given the current state of Hasbro, right?

Look at the Google definition of savior and the definition of Genesis. You’ll find that savior almost always has the word religion while Genesis doesn’t. Genesis has less of a religious connotation than other censored names (like Ashura or Lucifer)

Hey, zankye, how do you do the skins on the Beystadium?
Why central. Why needle. I thought we covered this, Hasbro. (I think they're deaf)

I mean, they sort of are? TT has some input too perhaps, but they're mostly there to work with Hasbro on making them desirable for their audiences.
Some of them are definitely based on trying to avoid undesirable names the international crowd would not like, but most of them just... really not needed at all.
So my overall thoughts on Speedstorm in general..
So SpeedStorm started out good as they were giving gimmicks (Like Roktavors Wings, Satombs Rollers, Fafnirs Rubber, Wyverns Free Spin and probably more) but they completely just said sike on all the other releases. We had only a handful of Chassis disks like 1A, 1B, 2D and 3A and that was it, they literally skipped on all the other chassis's like 2S and 2B. The actual SpeedStorm system itself was just dogwater as EVERY driver was nerfed to the point where they are incredibly tall and flat (which causes them to destabilize harder than a high driver)
Another issue was that almost every chip in Surge was just super weak like Dragon D6 and Left Spryzen S6 are the only real decent ones, all rings have been nerfed to the point where they are unusable competitive since they are so hollow and light, the only one being halfway decent being Triumph and even then its still sort of weak. Incorrect or Awful parts were given to many beys as Fafnir had 1A, Spriggan with Limited, Dragon with Armed (this being after they spammed us with 1A), Flamebringer and Endbringer using 6 and Vertical and Jet using Central and Needle-SP.. like bruh.
My Final Thoughts On SpeedStorm is 3/10 - it started out pretty good but it slowly just came a dumpster fire as more beys came out. Try again in DB, Hasbro.. try again
We as beyblade fans some who have been diehard fans since plastic gen and are dedicated to the game deserve better than this, Hasbro has ignored us forever now until they seemingly fixed the breakage on Pro Series beys but im still skeptical about that. Again, we deserve better than this BS! We want good beyblades, not beyblades made by a 6 year old that didn't put any effort into their products.
(I know i sound like a mid-50 year old soccer mom but words cant possibly describe how disappointed i am with how Hasbro has handled their beyblades this season)
Try again Hasbro, hopefully you can redeem yourself in QuadDrive
Ayo guys, check this out! Someone found the "Origin Achilles A6 & Tyros T6"-2-Pack in a store and posted it on Reddit. I just found this like less than 2 hours ago. Credits to the poster.

I know that the 2-Pack itself isn't that exciting and that it is rather mediocre (parts are mostly useless). But hey! At least you get the Origin Ring (First Ring), Xceed-SPM and a very first recolor of Tyros.
