Yes, I noticed for a split second. They're actually doing certain things RIGHT now.

The Eviperos looks rather odd with the paint. Is it possible to make an educated guess on the Disc or am I too hopeful? Tongue_out

actually never mind, it clearly has Heavy.

So I saw some of the new stuff in Zankyes live stream and it's pretty cool, the G2 looks nice and the J2 and F2 are cool too. I love that light up K2 and I'm surprised the electronic ones burst also.

The micro layers fit onto normal beyblade drivers which is odd TBH and makes the beys looks stupid, but if you can throw in some metal disks, it'll be like burst-MFB. Honestly the micro layers fitting on normal drivers while interesting is a pointless idea.
These incredible releases are hyping me up. :') I wonder if this'll finally be Hasbro's limelight?

Thank you, Zankye!

This is great, thanks Kai-V and Zankye! My wallet literally just shook hands with all of those beys, can't wait for them to hit stores, probably won't be around till may or June though Unhappy
Wow that's great Kai-V. Any more pics? I can't watch the video right now
Zankye's livestream was really interesting. The "electro" Beyblades being similar in size to the regular Burst Beyblades was pretty cool, as was finding out about the compatibility between the Micro Beyblades and regular Drivers.

That being said, while I understand there are differences between the markets around the world and how that might compel Hasbro to do things like develop their own launcher, make them unable to do monthly releases like in Japan, or do their own colour variants of Beyblades (which I think is nice in its own way; it's cool that they aren't releasing the exact same thing as TT), but there's still a lot I don't understand. I still don't fully understand the reasoning behind refraining from releasing new Drivers like Yielding or Orbit; it surely can't be marketing-based because new parts are always more interesting than old ones and competitively speaking, they also matter (but this is something Hasbro doesn't typically realize or act upon in any meaningful or lasting way in each series). So, I still question that.

And if I remember correctly, it was said that the reasoning behind implementing slopes versus teeth was to increase bursting? That seems to contradict their assertion that "bursting is rare", and it also indicates well to me how they view this product if they feel that increasing the potency of the series' gimmick is important. In reality, the level of bursting in TAKARA-TOMY's version is more appropriate in terms of gameplay balance and competitive value. But viewing it more narrowly as a "toy", I can understand the desire to make battles more "exciting" by increasing the frequency of bursting. The slope mechanic would have been so much better if it actually was more resistant and either matched the burst frequency seen in TT's Beyblade Burst or lowered it because of how much more durable it is compared to the teeth mechanic. Knowing now that they did intentionally want to increase bursting indicates to me that the "nerfs" to Odin, Neptune, and Deathscyther in the form of the new molds used for Odax, Nepstrius, and Doomscizor were more about realizing this idea of making battles more "exciting" than it was about trying to create any kind of balance competitively (and the need for this is debatable anyways).

This narrow focus on Beyblade purely as a toy with little depth competitively is also reflected in the new Avatar set. The fact that they felt compelled to create a product in the main series based on the idea of making Beyblade battles more interactive indicates that there is little understanding in some ways of what makes Beyblade fun (which is the preparation and customization that takes place before a battle, and the shooting techniques available to influence how the battle will play out). There's nothing wrong with the idea of this set as a toy–and it may indeed be fun–but it ultimately just seems like yet another example of Hasbro's continued position of approaching the marketing of Beyblade purely as a toy. Beyblade will always be a "toy" and it should absolutely be marketed that way to an extent, but it remains as frustrating as ever to see that they don't seem to acknowledge Beyblade's potential competitively like the WBO and it's communities around the world do, and TAKARA-TOMY and other Asian countries do. I don't blame them because they're only doing what they feel is right for the markets they are responsible for, but it's frustrating to see their pattern continue when on the WBO we realize that there is a different way of approaching the game that could be successful like it is in places like Japan if some different choices were made.

That being said, hopefully Hasbro's intention to get more involved in some kind of tournaments does turn out to be something substantial. I do have some hope considering we know that Master Blader Muraki from TAKARA-TOMY was visiting New York recently.
Woooo we get cycle and hold, but this makes it more confusing as to why they didn't release gyro, orbit, yielding and trans...

Anyone notice how none of the spin emperors were displayed in the case, no xeno, zillion or lost?

In response to kei, the slopes seem to really vary among beys. It seems the pregen slopes are all really loose while most of the dual layers are quite decent.

All in all, really excited for what's to come, only worried about the amount of money that will be leaving my wallet Grin
Hopefully the upcoming Hasbro releases will bring improvements to the slopes or at least not make them as prone to bursting. Really liking some of the colors though.
Also forgot to mention that the blue O2 looks nice, it's translucent so it's awesome! Again, if there is one thing I would like to try out on the otherwise pointless micro bey layers on normal Drivers is trying to add disks onto them, because I think using the disks to battle, Ring would be something with it's lower recoil found shape, and using Force or Jerk would be fun.

You can see Chaos and Amaterios in those, and from what I understood from the chatbox (I could not actually listen to the audio at the time), apparently Hasbro plans on releasing Amaterios as a Starter at some point?

As you can see from the Disc, those parts are incompatible with regular Beyblades and are therefore illegal in tournaments.

Red stadium:

Honestly it looks like the dimensions are exactly the same as the blue stadium, the pockets are just more numerous so your Beyblade risks getting stuck in them more.

How does the launch feel?
Woohoo! Let's go, Hasbro!
(Feb. 22, 2017  3:39 AM)Beylon Wrote: [ -> ]How does the launch feel?

Tiny, as to be expected. They launch nicely and they have a bit more heft than they look, slightly heavier than drivers.
They don't feel uncomfortable? Due to the fact that it's pretty much thin?

Nope, the launcher is a bit wider than  the blade so even with a bit of finger overhang it doesn't touch them, a bit better than the regular hasbro light launcher in terms of comfort just because you don't need to rip as hard so a lighter grip isn't a problem.
Well, maybe it'll be like the old gen launchers, where they were really small, I could still comfortably use those so maybe it'll be the same for these launchers.
I love these recoulors. :)
the concept of the white stadium might be from the "trap" stadiums from the anime but if that was the case they should have kept them more like the anime and just have either spikes or jaws on the sides rather than the "arms" though i am looking forward to that gold launcher set
Just found beyblade micro at Kroger, out of all places.. (For those who don't know, Kroger is just a regular grocery market.)
Beyblade Burst is going to be released in India by August/September 2016!!!

edit:- I'm still not sure if those beys will be from Takara or Hasbro, but I will try asking them about it, as they rereleased those Steel Slogan with Takara Tomy logo , so seems like there are chances they can bring TT burst in India
Will the metal fusion and hyperblades be available again in the US?

It is highly unlikely and nearly impossible. Sorry
