I agree. More orange on the ring would make the bey more cooler. It's already cool, but more would be amazing. Anyways, Satomb is always going to be one of my fav beys
i wonder how hasbro is going to do the dynamite battle system?

I don't want to come up with wild guesses (single-molded layers, occasionally with gimmicks, single/dual layer discs and a pretty wild driver gimmick), but one thing is for sure I'd say: Whatever they will do, it will be inconsistent.

2-pack surge review!

What do you mean by inconsistent?
(Mar. 20, 2021  9:58 PM)6Jupiter5 Wrote: [ -> ]What do you mean by inconsistent?

Hasbro has always been very inconsistent with "what" they released, which includes mutiple things:
  • Will the basic system of this season remain (e.g. chassis)?
  • Will a bey keep its layer gimmick?
  • its disc (e.g. Triumph Dragon)/ disc gimmick (e.g. Hypersphere discs)
  • its driver (Edge) / driver gimmick (e.g. Nothingness)

Just an example with Burst. That started already back then with the OG Plastics.

What bothers me the most is that even within a season/line-up there are still inconsistent decisions.
Dual Layers featured most parts, however skipped a few drivers.
Turbo removed some layer gimmicks (Crash Ragnaruk) and kept some others aside from the metal (Archer Hercules).
Some beys got Slingshock drivers of their respective parts and some random stuff (Galaxy Zeutron Z4).
Hypersphere redesigned discs to be frame-compatible and never released a single frame within that season.
SpeedStorm gives some beys SP, others SPM drivers with no clear system (e.g. according to types), some gimmicks are there, others not, some drivers keep their material, others get plastic-replacements, we never really know if we get a correct chassis discs, a replacement or none at all. Maybe we get rubber in the layer, maybe we'll get Brave Valtryek's single-molded layer base.

I'm not a Hasbro hater, but it's basically a wild gamble on what we might get and what not.

Well Galaxy Zeutron Z4 was just a rerelease, some layer gimmicks are nerfed due to avoiding power creep in the game (same thing with changing disks, although there wasn’t any need to do this to crash). If hs released frames it would just look kind of weird giving the beys frames because you can’t just give any frame. As for sp and spm some drivers have sp and some have spm to mix it up a little bit. Overall hasbro is inconsistent, but it’s not as inconsistent as you think it is.

Avoiding power creep is a generally bad excuse. What's the point to getting newer beys if they're worse than what you already have? Like, it's one thing for collection's sake, but I honestly can't think of a single Speedstorm system layer that's at all close to competitive in Limited.

It's even worse to apply that excuse to stripping out parts like Galaxy Zeutron and Spiral Treptune that had their gimmicks stripped out only to be rereleased with them a short time later through Asteroid Zeutron and Tide Treptune. It's not like either Asteroid Zeutron or Tide Treptune's gimmicks were ever so powerful that they needed a nerf to begin with, there's far better layers from Evolution already there. No, the gimmicks they're stripping out are clearly not for the sake of power creep. Same thing with leaving disk frames off of combos that had them (e.g. Reach, Dagger, Proof). None of them are overpowered or incompatible with other things somehow, it's just pure cheaping out.

Hypersphere could have done frames fine. They don't interfere with the gimmick short of the absolute largest frames, and even those really don't hinder it by much. If it was all because it "looks weird", well, they shouldn't have made Hypersphere look so dumb then shouldn't they? They're in control of the looks just as much as they are their choices to drop frames off of a cliff.

Why is mixing things up between heavier and lighter Speedstorm drivers a good thing? Isn't -SPM just generally better than -SP all around the block? Like, I thought Nothingness-SP might have dropped the metal to better calibrate the spring which might have explained that there, but by cutting the spring out there's really no reason for it or the absence of a 2A-D disk either. I don't see how this is a good thing to mix them up like this.

No, I don't agree at all. They're ridiculously inconsistent except in the place where it counts: giving us more bang for our buck.
Low quality image of the Helios Blazebringer and World Spryzen R dual packs that I found on someone’s YouTube community tab, no Ou nor 2B, so don’t expect to get Cho and Kou in the Motor Strike set.

Well, it's better than Aero'. If it bothers you that much, you can give it Hurricane, it's Free spinning just like 2B.

It doesn't bother me THAT much. I'm just extremely surprised that Hasbruh is willing to do Spryzen dirty.

After what they did to Valtryek, not surprised.
Sorry for being a bit late, but here's a few more images. Sadly they aren't the best quality (nevermind zankye uploaded better quality), but hey it's better than nothing. And if you're wondering, these are from the gamestop website (literally just search beyblade; not sure where the higher quality is from).

BUT LIMITED IN WORLD SPRYZEN

They basically does the usual treatment where the color are bootleg looking with I assume no metal and trash parts (im looking at you 12). They really need to step up their game and it seems like hasbro is caring less towards beyblade with pro series having a lot of problems and actual line being underwhelming for most of the times but who knows I could be be wrong tho.

To be fair, the TT Hollow also had 12

Well tbf TT has the Axe frame on it which make it less trashier. at least they could just give it vortex then it wouldn't be as bad

I feel like they were using Hollow as an example, I think what they were saying was that Hasbro isn't treating the new releases well, like the lack of detail and the removal of newer part and giving us trash parts like 12, Limited, Armed, and Aero'
I'm just disappointed in Hasbro right now, the lack of detail and good parts on the main beys in the dual packs and singles is absurd. Hollow Doomscizor having Xceed-SP is fine I guess, could've been better with an Axe frame at least. Helios Blazebringer, let's be honest, probably won't have the Limit Break. At least it has Zone+Z SPM, although the +Z might not be metal from the looks of it. I actually like the Jormuntor recolor though. Then World Spryzen has Limited (please no) and Unite-SP with no rubber which is more disappointing. The only positive I can say for Spryzen is that the chip appears to be dual spin, since there's no weird gap in the center of the chip, like what we got with Lord Spryzen. No burst stoppers, but hey purple Betromoth, not like the green one they released as a starter when in the show it's a completely different color lol.
Welcome back to another episode of: Hasbro cant do anything right.

But seriously, im fine with Outer on Helios but why LIMITED on World?! At this point I wont be surprised if Infinite has something like Knuckle or something.
If infinite doesn't have 1B I will be disappointed, but if they give it a dual/single layer disk they better do Infinity or I will be extra disappointed

omg yes! If they play achilles dirty...
