This is an idea that was thrown around about two weeks back, after I helped a user who had been absent for a period of time catch up on major events they had missed. Along with providing information about Beyblade Burst, these recaps will also cover major events on the WBO, including news from other Formats as well as small Tournament summaries. A new recap will be posted approximately every two weeks.

The Burst mechanism is controlled by "teeth" that connect from the Layer to the Driver, and each layer has different teeth. Valkyrie has sharp teeth which make it harder to burst at first but wear down super quickly, so don't use it too much outside of tournaments. The Light Launcher skipped for the first several releases but was fixed upon Deathscyther's release. The Beylauncher also seems to have received an update too. We've built a provisional top tier list using what little releases are available so far. The Beylogger/Beycloud is used to gain virtual points used for a chance to win Amaterios, which is apparently a beast in battle and has a new kind of Plastic for teeth that hopefully won't wear as easily. As for the WBO itself, LMAO & Mitsu got promoted and Omega and Libra got banned from Limited. Passports are more expensive now, and there's a Face Booster promotion going on now to help offset the cost of Burst. And let's not forget the Zankye 100K event, which features a tournament and weekly giveaways.

Bey Brad has posted his personal review of Wyvern Armed Massive. His conclusion: While Armed and Massive do not offer anything new to the competitive Burst metagame, testing shows that Wyvern is a powerful Defense layer, outperforming Kerbeus in both Stationary and Mobile Defense.

Tests of Amaterios and Assault have been posted. As of now Amaterios Heavy Assault seems to be an effective counter to Mobile Defense.

Tests of Odin have been posted. As of now Odin appears to have the Stamina capabilities of Deathscyther while also being more difficult to Burst.

Several accessories, such as the Beyblade Angle Grip, Beyblade Rubber Assist, Shoot Support Rubber, and wbba. Official Bladers Box have been announced. All are slated for release around December 28 2015 except for the Shoot Support Rubber, which is instead planned for February 22 2016.

A new Beyblade, Neptune Armed Zephyr, has been announced and is slated for release around January 25, 2016.

Additional information and preliminary images of Yggdrasil Ring Gyro and Excalibur Force Extreme have been revealed.

Evileye Wing Needle has been revealed to be the prize of Random Booster Vol. 2.

TAKARA TOMY has released the Beyblade Custom Set Defense & Stamina. It includes two new parts in Unicorn and Ring, and while Ring may be comparable to Spread, Unicorn hasn’t found competitive use as of yet.

TAKARA TOMY has released the Beyblade Custom Set Attack & Balance. It includes two new parts in Minoboros and Quake, neither of which have found competitive use as of yet.

TAKARA TOMY has released Horusood Spread Edge. Aside from the previously discovered Spread, none of its parts seem to be incredibly useful as of yet.

Official images of Xcalibur Force Xtreme have been revealed. The name is also confirmed to be stylized as “Xcalibur Force Xtreme” instead of “Excalibur Force Extreme”. A golden version has also been revealed, which will be available at the World Hobby Fair 2016.

The mystery Layer in Random Layer Collection Vol. 1 has been revealed to be Chaos, which is described as the “Ultimate Stamina Type”. Testing reveals that while its Stamina is quite high, it is also rather easy to Burst.

It'd be pretty sick if we could make a section for these recaps in the News forum, if we decide to go forward and do something like this. Really like this idea.
