As we mentioned during our 5th WBO Anniversary, the World Beyblade Organization is about to hit quite a milestone:

We will soon reach 500 tournaments organized around the world!

On December 4th 2013, we were at 461 events already. But right now, almost two months later, we're already at...

487 events, which means there are only 13 tournaments left until the big Half-Thousand!!

The road to this huge achievement is paved with great prizes too! To honor those who help us get to this milestone, we announced the following campaign:
  • For every weekend where two or more regions host successful tournaments, a prize will be given randomly among the participants of those events!
  • For every weekend where two tournaments are held, two Stone Face Boosters will be given randomly among each tournament! And for three, three Stone Face Boosters, etc.!

Some brand new Face Boosters just for this, what a treat! Here's what you could get from them:

You'll have to wait for someone to obtain these insanely rare Faces first before they can be revealed to the world. Wink

Let's already announce the winners of the first few weekends!

Week from December 4th to December 8th 2013

There were two events, all in North Carolina, so the winners of a Stone Face Booster are...

...

Thunder Dome!

stormscorpio1!

ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)!

And Tigerofthewest!

Congratulations to you four! Make sure to post your Stone Face Booster selection in this topic.

Week from December 9th to December 15th 2013

Events were held in four different regions on that weekend, wow!

Since some tournaments had only the minimum of eight players though, it would not make much sense to give Stone Face Boosters to the majority of the participants, so we'll set a limit of four Stone Face Boosters per event. Here are the winners this week!

The next weeks... later! Congrats to all the winners so far!

Hey World Bladers,

If you've Liked our Facebook Page you'll likely already know that we recently purchased some super cool recolours to use for ... something! Well, we've decided to use one of them for this months giveaway! If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the January 2014 giveaway for a brand new limited edition Saramanda Ifraid DF145BS Burst Flame Ver. or Orojya Reviser T125JB! The winner may choose to receive whichever one they like.

Bladers who post in this thread and do not possess a Blader Passport will have their posts immediately deleted.

To make the deal even sweeter, we will also throw in one Face Booster for the winner!
This contest will run for one week until February 1st, 11:59:59PM EST. Any Passport Holders who post after that date/time will not be entered. The winners will be announced shortly after the date has passed and will have their prize shipped to them free of charge!

Good luck everyone!
Hello World Bladers,

Since we introduced the Limited Format early last month on a trial basis free from BeyPoints processing there has been numerous tournament results, and much discussion in the community about what changes should be made in order to make the format as fair and balanced as is possible. Taking all of that into consideration we have decided to make the following changes to the ban list:

Limited Format Ban List v1.1 Effective January 20th

Newly Banned
  • WHEEL: Gravity
Newly Unbanned
  • WHEEL: Omega
  • BOTTOM: RB

As was initially intended with the Limited Format, the ban list is dynamic, so this is by no means final. We will continue to monitor the status of the format and further updates will be made when it becomes obvious that certain parts are deserving of being banned/unbanned. This is something that is going to continually evolve as a result of community involvement; it can therefore only happen if you all continue to embrace the format as you have thus far. So, keep hosting Limited Format tournaments!

Because we know that it may be inconvenient for players to learn of updates just prior to previously scheduled tournaments we will always make an effort to make sure we give everyone sufficient notice (hence the effective January 20th date for this update).

To discuss this update, possible future updates, and to see the discussion that led to the decisions that were made for this update, please use these two threads:

MFB Limited Ban List Discussion (Public)
Official Limited Ban List Discussion (Veterans)
and the MFB: Limited Discussion forum.

WBO 5th Anniversary Results!!

  • Kai-V

WBO Bladers, the time has already come for the results of the Scavenger Hunt from the WBO 5th Anniversary edition!

This time, we got a whole 121 participants! This is huge! OK, most of them are tournament attendees from December 4th to January 4th, but that isn't a bad thing at all! Woo!

First, let's start with the correct answers!
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "What time is it?" (We're looking for a numerical answer, Beyblade-related.) (1 Point) 5:02, 5:03, or alternatively 00:27 or 00:28 - We ended up accepting both since it's true that the hands on the Horogium Clear Wheel are positioned as if the small hand is in fact the one indicating the minutes.
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "Which Beyblade name did Sonokong dub in Metal Fight Beyblade?" (1 Point) Warriors Ifraid!
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: Adorning the brilliant tree were an assortment of parts and from all generations. Name them all! (2 Points) Basically all the parts you can see on this famous tree: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-HAVE-A-V...MAS--2592
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: "THE WINNER IS..." (1 Point) Cye Kinomiya, announced by Blader DJ at the very beginning of the Beywiki forums for the 100 Members giveaway of course!
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: How many countries have participated and been processed in the BeyPoint System? (1 Point) 12: USA, Canada, UK, Italy, Indonesia, India, Portugal, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, Philippines, Australia (Puerto Rico is theoretically part of the USA, but we counted both twelve and thirteen as good answers).
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "Which two Beyblades were at the head of the revolution?" (1 Point) MSF-H Girago Dragooon F230GCF and MSF-L Wyvang Dragooon SA165 (Attack Mode) GCF, the Beys used by stormscorpio1 and JesseObre respectively in the final battle of BEYBLADE REVOLUTION.

Secondly, as usual, let's start with the Members who unfortunately could not reach the few top positions to win a physical prize!

On November 20th, 2013, William Ma, of Beyblade Geeks (BBG William), passed away at the age of 20 years, after being involved in a collision north of Calgary days earlier on the Queen Elizabeth 2 Highway.

Beyblade Geeks have made a tremendous impact in the world of beyblade with their humor and enthusiasm via their YouTube Channel. We are grateful to have them as an affiliate, and as such, we also share their grief. The World Beyblade Organization offers sincere condolences to the friends and family William left behind.

A scholarship fund was established by William’s friends to continue his philanthropic legacy. We urge our members to help out whenever they can. To learn more about the fundraiser, visit William's Legacy

This thread will remain open arbitrarily if you guys want to pay your respect or have comments. Respectfully, however, we urge you all to remember him as how he lived, and not how he passed.

Reintroduce the ability to change your username! Indeed, from now on, we caught up so much with the BeyPoint Queue that it's fine to allow everyone to change usernames as they wish once every 30 days.

Your best memories of the WBO!

If you can't make a video for the Scavenger Hunt describing what you like about the World Beyblade Organization, we'd still like to hear your thoughts about our history! • The collaboration with a specialist or with a company you liked the most:

Of course, elaborate as much as possible, it'll be appreciated!

We're really curious to see what you think!

Face Contest: Design a new Beyblade series!

Aww yeah!! It's been years but we're bringing it back, especially with the advent of a new Beyblade system or series upon us in the future!

The goal is to innovate with Beyblades, just like what TAKARA-TOMY did between Plastics and HMS, and then between HMS onto Metal Fight Beyblade and all the systems the latter series included! It has to be as realistic as possible, in the same vein as what TAKARA-TOMY would really invent next, while still bringing Beyblade to a whole new level!

You can find out more about this Face Contest and post your own entry right here:

http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Face-Con...ade-series

Road to the Half-Thousand Events!

Hey, tournaments come and go all the time, leaving us with enjoyable experiences even if we face bitter defeats, but have you actually stopped to think how many the World Beyblade Organization has had since its existence as Beywiki?

Could you actually believe that we almost have 500 events in our history?! And we all have a part in this major milestones! Can you imagine all the time, sweat, money, and overall dedication we've all contributed to make this a reality? Guys, we all have to take a minute off to realise what an exploit this is, especially for a non-profit organisation like us.

We are officially at about 461 tournaments, which means we only have 39 events left before reaching 500!

We can definitely do it in the next year, but let's try achieving this goal in just a few months!

To help speed up the numbers, we've prepared a few activities to help along the way of this campaign!

Weekly Prizes

That's right: for every weekend on which two events are held in two different regions, a prize will be given away randomly among the participants of those tournaments! Since they're dependant on the number of weekends that fulfill this condition, they'll only be revealed once one can be given out! Don't worry though, they're swag!

But that's so not all: we're also introducing brand new Stone Face Boosters which will be available in advance! If there are two events per weekend, two Stone Face Boosters will be given for each tournament, not just one per tournament!

You'll have to wait for someone to obtain these insanely rare Faces first before they can be revealed to the world. Wink

Actually, guess what: if there are three events per weekend, we're ready to increase the numbers and give three Stone Face Boosters per tournament/region! Oh yesss!

The Stone Face Boosters will not be openly available until after the anniversary celebrations have concluded, so take advantage of the opportunity to get these awesome new Faces before anyone else!

Free entry from December 14th to December 22nd!

Yep, the entry fee will be waived during those two dates, in hopes of making extra Bladers come out of their house to participate in a tournament! You can still buy a Blader Passport if you wish, in prevision for the future events in the upcoming months, but otherwise you can just walk in during that period, register and play, simple as that!

Your Achievements, Now Featured!

Ever since our beginning, one of the cool features of the World Beyblade Organization has been its Face Collection, created by Bey Brad! All year long, each of you work your Bottom off trying to receive one of those prized rewards, and it's already a huge achievement to get it in your rows of Faces in your profile, next to your posts, but you'll now be featured!

Indeed, we've added a box on the side of the index, below the Upcoming Events box, to promote the latest special Faces Members of our community have succeeded in gaining! That means that all design Faces such as Pegasis, Quetzalcoatl, Beelzeb, etc. do not count as "special Faces", since they do not require quite as much work to get as the more extraordinary Faces.

We're really proud of people's effort, so it's great to highlight them to the whole community!

Monthly Giveaways

After an absence of over a year, Monthly Giveaways are back!! If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the December 2013 giveaway for a brand new copy BEYBLADE: Evolution or the Japanese version, MFB 4D X Zero-G Ultimate Tournament for Nintendo 3DS! The winner may choose whichever version they like!

Introducing: the Limited Format!

Things look bright for Beyblade's future, but for the moment, we're creating a new format to hype things up: the Limited Format!

The goal of this new format is to try to develop a new metagame, made of no overpowered parts! This means that, for instance, Synchrom and 4D will not be used in that format. This will open a world of opportunities to test old or overlooked parts to see how they fare against other parts that are more at their level!

Tournaments done using this format will not be processed in the Beypoint System since the circumstances are not really comparable to the usual Standard and Zero-G-format events, but Faces and Credits will still be awarded just like for the HMS and plastic Beyblade tournaments.

Here are already a few threads to help you get to know the Limited Format, notably with a list of banned parts. This list may be modified along the way, if parts are found to be too dominant even in that metagame, but it should be a good start.

http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-MFB-Limi...Discussion
http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-MFB-Limi...m-Thoughts

Let us know your thoughts about the Limited Format after trying it out in your region or after conducting some tests on your own! The format will officially be added to the Event Guide shortly.

This new format also leads us to a restructuration of the Beyblade Customizations forum! From now on, that forum will be divided in four different sub-forums:
  • MFB: Standard Customizations
  • MFB: Limited Customizations
  • MFB: Zero-G Customizations
  • Plastics & HMS Customizations

This way, it will be easier for everyone to differentiate conversations on all those different formats!

Official BEYBLADE REVOLUTION Video

And last, but not least ... the official video for BEYBLADE REVOLUTION: WBO North American Championship has finally arrived! Check it out!

Additionally, please stay tuned for bonus footage from the event that was not included in the video above!

Tweet away and be sure to share these celebrations on Facebook too! Don't forget to follow and like us as well!:

Good luck everyone!
World Bladers, a new universe will be introduced to us on October 29th!

To fully support the release of the new Metal Fight Beyblade video game entitled "BEYBLADE: Evolution" for the Nintendo 3DS console and created by Rising Star Games, the World Beyblade Organization was contacted to be the home of all discussions about this new game!

Starting today, a new forum is created which is dedicated entirely to BEYBLADE: Evolution, or "Metal Fight Beyblade 4D X Zero-G Ultimate Tournament" as it'll called in Japan after December 19th 2013. All posts about the video game belong there now, and with several hundreds of parts available for customization in the game, multiple mini challenges and various tough Bladers on our way to the championship in the Story Mode, there's going to be a lot to discuss!

Rising Star Games representatives will also be online once in a while to answer some of your questions, so grab them while they're here!

The game is supposed to hold true to the parts' performance in real-life in some respect, plus there's an augmented reality feature where you can spin your Bey on your desk, so post your screenshots once it's out next Tuesday and share your different strategies with the rest of the world!

Play safe!!

P.S. There's a contest going on in November for Likers of the BEYBLADE: Evolution Facebook Page, so check out this page to find out more details and enter to win one of the fun prizes!

WANTED: Video Editor for BeyChannel!

  • Kai-V
  • Jul. 11, 2013  2:13 AM
The World Beyblade Organization Committee is looking for a competent video editor to help liven up BeyChannel!

Tris has disappeared without a word, so we would like to find someone who can produce videos in the same style as what he had done already. You can see examples of videos he has worked on here :

If it interests you to be the WBO BeyChannel's next video creator star, send a private message to Kai-V with examples of what you can do. It'll help if we can see you reproduce some of the effects observed in the above videos too!
School's out and summer's begun, and with that final ring of the school bell, a now three-year-old tradition comes back: HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day!!

This year, it'll be on July 13th & 14th. Several celebrations are planned for these special days of the year where we pay tribute to the generations of Beyblades that started it all!

Tournaments of the HMS or Plastic format!
The world's most active Beyblade communities come together to focus all the events on one power-packed day! Here's the current list of tournaments part of HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day:

Just like during the rest of the year, the top three winners in these tournaments can choose one of the following exclusive Face Boosters:
If you reach the top three in a Plastic or HMS Format tournament, make sure to let your WBO Organizer what your selection of the above Face Boosters is!

However, even if you don't place within the top three, you can still 'win'! All entrants of an HMS or Plastic tournament held on the Remembrance Day will also receive 1 extra Credit just for playing in the event! This means that you'll get 2 Credits just for participating, and that nets you a free Face Booster or more in our Blader Rewards Campaign!

Exclusive BeyLotto
You weren't sure about attending a tournament on July 13th or 14th, your bed is luring you with its comfort, and you needed extra motivation to get up and out into the wild to face the challenges of The Ol' Ones? The WBO introduces yet another exclusive, limited BeyLotto! The only requirement in order to be entered for a chance to win a prize is to play in a tournament on HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day!

OK, that was easy, but will you be able to withstand the pure awesomeness of the following prizes up for grab?!

1st Place: custom Plastic Beyblade from dio (to be determined), Driger MS (Gold), Dranzer MS (Red), Master Dragoon (Red)

2nd Place: custom Plastic Beyblade from dio (to be determined), Driger MS (Silver), Wyborg (Black)

3rd Place: Driger MS (Blue), Draciel S (Clear)

4th Place: Dranzer G (Red), Gaia Dragoon MS

5th Place: Thunder Dragon

Here's a peek at the rare, tournament limited Driger MS'!:

Additionally, the 1st to 5th place winners will have their choice of
6th to 30th Place will have their choice of
Also, because some tournament organizers may not be able to secure prizes for their tournaments in time, the top two prizes from the BeyLotto will be limited to the Bladers who finish in the top three of their local tournament.

Face Contest: Design a Plastic Beyblade!
Wh-what? The results for the previous Face Contest: Beyblade Photography are barely out and you're rolling us with another Face Contest?!

That's right, one can't wait for the other! This time, the subject is related to the series that started it all: we want you to design a brand new Plastic generation Beyblade! Will you design a new member of the GT Series? A Beyblade seen in the anime that wasn't released? Or maybe something completely new?

To find out all the details of this Face Contest, make sure to check out the following topic!: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Face-Con...c-Beyblade

New Face Booster for donations
It's been a while since we've had changes in that area, so we're introducing a brand new Face Booster as thanks for donations: Face Booster WHITE II [Image: bfq.png]! Since we really like all your generosity, we'll reveal the Faces included in this Face Booster:

Oh, three Phantom Fox Faces?! Mysterious! Exciting! That makes it the largest Face Booster ever!

When you make a donation of at least $10, you can now choose between Face Booster BLACK II, WHITE, and WHITE II! Donations can be made via Paypal online, or directly at tournaments simply by giving an extra amount to the host, who will then transfer the total amount to us.

You saw what we were able to achieve with BEYBLADE REVOLUTION: the WBO North American Championship this year? Imagine if everyone just gave five dollars, we could bring the Beyblading experience to a whole other level!

New Avatars
Like before, we're now offering you five new avatars to use in your profile to celebrate HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day!

You'll find them in the Avatar Gallery, when you go to your User CP and click on the left on "Change avatar". Enjoy!

Organized Play Rule Additions
We also have a few important rule additions for Organized Play:
  • Credits: You now may only earn up to 8 Credits per week. For example, if you win one tournament (earning 5 Credits), and then place 2nd in another immediately afterwards, on the next day of that weekend, or any other day during that same week between Monday - Sunday (earning 4 Credits), instead of earning 9 Credits, you will earn 8 instead. However, Extra Credits, such as the +1 offered for participating in HMS & Plastics Remembrance Day does not factor in to this count.
  • Winning Combinations: Bladers who place within the top three at any given tournament are now required to submit a list of the combinations they won with, and it is the responsibility of the host to submit it to the Committee along with the results/fees/etc. Preferably, we would ask that the host posts the list in the Winning Combinations thread and submit the list to us that way, but if a host cannot do that for some reason, submit it via PM and someone from the Committee will post it instead.

Exceptions regarding the posting of combos will only be made for Bladers who plan on attending large-scale, international WBO tournaments similar to BEYBLADE REVOLUTION in the near future. Situations like this will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. However, regardless of the situation, a list must be submitted to the Committee.

New Global Moderators: Ingulit and Cannon!

The time has come to add new members to our team, and two Bladers have shone their way to our reflections: Cannon and Ingulit! Welcome them all and welcome them well, they have been super great Members of the World Beyblade Organization!

And- ... Ouch! Watch ou-

Oh hey!

Looks like our very special guest has arrived finally! It's time for us to pass the mike to...

BLADER DJ~!!
Dear World Bladers,

The tradition is back!

On May 25th and May 26th, the world will vibrate with the sound of our Beyheartbeats for the fifth year of BEYDAYS!!

For this special occasion, we of course organised BEYBLADE REVOLUTION: WBO North American Championship for all the Bladers in North America, and we prepared a few exciting activities for you as well. However, what's more crucial and at the very heart of BeyDays is the explosion of tournaments all around the world! Here's what's already planned, and there could be more to come - it all depends on you!

May 25th
May 26th
May 18th
Come on guys, there are way more active Beyblade communities in the world than that! Get your Event Proposals in before it's too late!

To help everyone out, we've got several cool features for you this year:
  • Regions who have never hosted a WBO tournament in the past will be able to hold a free event for BeyDays 2013 without the $5 entry fee!
  • We will also waive the entry fee for regions that have not hosted an approved tournament in the last five months!
  • If you can't quite get the eight required confirmed participants yet, we'll send invites to the Members who signed up on the BeyMap in your area to urge them to attend and have fun on BeyDays, before the Event Proposal is even approved!

BeyDays, with all those exceptions, is the best opportunity to start up an active Beyblade scene in your region for the rest of the year!

So, do you want to host a BeyDays 2013 tournament in your area?
Click here for details! (Click to View)

2013 is no different than the past years, so each participant of a BeyDays tournament will receive the brand new Face of Days IV, simply for showing up and playing at an event!

...

What's this that Blader DJ is whispering in my ear?

...

Oh, yes! Let the usual BeyLotto roll!

This year again, every participant of a BeyDays tournament will be automatically entered in this BeyLotto. The more tournaments you enter, the more chances you have in the lottery which will be done completely at random.

Due to the restraints of holding a budget to pay for the travel expenses of the champions in North America though, we're only going to reveal the prizes available in the BeyLotto in the next few days, but you can totally bet, based on the previous editions of BeyDays, that they'll be super hot!! There could even be WBO exclusivities, woo!

For certain, we can unveil that the following Face Boosters will be up for grabs in the BeyDays BeyLotto, so this is your ultimate chance to get a sweet Face under your avatar!

Purchasing or currently having a Blader Passport will ensure you a very special place in the results if you are picked! For example, the first three winners will be Passport Holders, as thanks for your support towards the World Beyblade Organization!
Blader Passports can be purchased at the cost of $10 US either online via our Passport page, or at any official WBO tournament.

Submit tournament footage, gain extra BeyLotto entries!
On top of that, this year, if you film scenes at the BeyDays tournament you attend and put the footage together for the BeyChannel, you'll get an extra entry in the BeyLotto! Show us what your community's like and how intense the battles were!

If you have footage please send follow the guidelines outlined here and send it to Kei. If you do not have enough footage to put together for a 2-4 minute video as is described in that thread, send the raw footage to Kei through a file sharing website instead.

Spread the word out and support the WBO and BeyDays on Twitter and on Facebook!

[Image: twitteric.png] @worldbeyblade [Image: facebookic.png] WorldBeybladeOrganization

#BEYBLADE #BEYDAYS

So Melbourne, Sydney, Arizona, Italy, Texas, Philippines, Vancouver, and whoever else can gather enough Bladers in their area: come and join us in this grand Beyblade celebration!

Face Contest: Photography 3!

For those of you who really can't attend one of the tournaments, we're still going to keep you up in hype with a new Face Contest! The last one was very popular, and we know you love it, so we're bringing a third photography contest!

It's simple: capture a great moment involving one or more Beyblades, upload it on an image-hosting website, and enter it into the Face Contest! It's time to show off your cool recolour, or a beautiful mix of a landscape with a Beyblade.

For more details, check out the topic where you can post your entries:
http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-BeyDays-...tography-3

The deadline for this Face Contest is June 2nd 2013. Good luck everyone!

WBO Limited Offer: 20$ BeyStadiums Attack Type!!

The WBO brings you yet another awesome exclusivity! It might be too late for BeyDays, but it's certainly never too late to start up some Beyblade activity in your region.

You think you'd be able to gather enough participants already? You know the rules by heart? Everyone's set on a date and a venue, but all that's missing is a legal stadium? This is exactly what you waiting for!

The World Beyblade Organization has acquired a limited set of BeyStadiums Attack Type and will give them away for the really low price of $20 to potential tournament hosts in new parts of the world that are usually quiet when it comes to Beyblading! These stadiums, the fairest ever made for the Metal Fight Beyblade series, can also complementarily be used for testing!

There are just a few conditions that need to be fulfilled to be eligible for this deal:
  • The Member has to demonstrate clear, on-site efforts to concretise an event in their area, notably with eight or almost eight Bladers basically ready to play at any moment.
  • The region targetted by the Event Proposal has to be new to Beyblade tournaments or, depending on the demand, has to own too few legal stadiums for an event to reasonably run smoothly and quickly.
  • Of course, the cost for the stadium is $20, shipping included.

As it's been implied, we will deal with requests for those stadiums over in the Event Proposals sub-forum.

This deal is completely limited, due to production of Attack Type BeyStadiums having been stopped in Japan for some time now, so it's definitely your one and only chance! Grab this opportunity now while you can, and finally give your community what it's been thirsting for all this time!

Have a great BeyDays everyone!! Spread your passion, make it come to life in tournaments, and otherwise have fun during this special celebration!
World Bladers! The revolution begins! The WBO is proud, and incredibly excited to announce our first ever North American Championship: BEYBLADE REVOLUTION as a part of BEYDAYS 2013!

On Saturday, May 25th, 2013 during our annual global celebration of Beyblade, BEYDAYS, the best Bladers in North America will gather in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at ANIME NORTH 2013 in order to compete for the prestigious title of WBO North American Champion!!!

So, do you think you have what it takes? BEYBLADE REVOLUTION will be open to the public, but if you don't live near Toronto, you can earn paid travel expenses to Toronto by winning a tournament in the WBO North American Championship Qualifier Series!

All tournaments are ZERO-G Format.

Ruling Clarification:

This list is likely not final, so please stay tuned for updates about more qualifiers in the coming days/weeks!

What do Qualifiers win?
Winners of these tournaments will receive the following:
  • Paid travel expenses, by plane or bus (whichever is cheapest) to ANIME NORTH 2013 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for BEYBLADE REVOLUTION.
  • An ANIME NORTH 2013 Pass

Qualifiers will be responsible for finding/paying for accommodations in Toronto, but we will work closely with each of you to make sure that you find somewhere suitable. Additionally, the winner will be required to consult with the Committee before booking their flight/bus, and then after approval, provide a booking confirmation to the WBO Committee before they can provide reimbursement for the traveling costs.

Mandatory $5 Entry Fee = More Qualifiers + Extra Credits + Free Face Booster!
To help subsidize the high cost of flying/busing the qualifiers to Toronto, a mandatory $5 entry fee will be imposed on all Qualifier Series tournaments, regardless of whether or not a participant has a Blader Passport, and there will be no prize reimbursement apart from the travel expenses for the winner. We hope that everyone can understand this! The more funds we have, the bigger this championship will be! However, to show our appreciation for your cooperation and support in helping to fund the championship, all participants in Qualifier Series tournaments will receive the following:

All Passport Holders who participate in a WBO North American Championship Qualifier Series tournament will gain an entry into this exclusive BeyLotto! What can you win, you ask? Well, here's the prize breakdown:

1st Place: WBO T-Shirt + WBO 4GB USB Key + BBG-26 Starter Samurai Pegasis W105R²F or BBG-27 Starter Gladiator Bahamdia SP230GF

2nd Place: WBO 4GB USB Key + BBG-26 Starter Samurai Pegasis W105R²F or BBG-27 Starter Gladiator Bahamdia SP230GF

3rd Place:: BBG-26 Starter Samurai Pegasis W105R²F or BBG-27 Starter Gladiator Bahamdia SP230GF

Besides the WBO T-Shirt, all of the prizes are being donated by our very own WBO Authorized Dealer, dimsum2u! You can see what items he has for sale here.

As always, for every $10 donated, you'll receive a gift from us in the form of Face Booster WHITE or Face Booster BLACK II; it's your choice.

However, for those of you who are even more awesome and choose to donate more (before May 12th, 2013), we have some very special gifts available!:

Introducing... The new BeyMap!!

  • Kai-V
  • Mar. 23, 2013  3:24 PM
4 years ago, the encyclopedia Beywiki was relaunched officially as the World Beyblade Organization.

It introduced a new layout, the Beypoint System - the world ranking system for Bladers, and one other feature...

Unfortunately, as part of an obligatory upgrade, the Usermap meant to be a grandiose directory of the Bladers all around the globe stopped working due to a flaw in the plugin's script, sadly right before the boom of growth created by Hasbro's release of Metal Fight Beyblade.

Finally however, the BeyMap is back, and better than ever! Get ready for the optimal experience as a Beyblader!!

We could not settle only for making the old Usermap get back on track and running, no! While we were at it, we took the progress to a whole new level by developing 3 layers of Beyblade info!

Beybladers

Of course, the core function of the BeyMap is to visualise in a clear way where all the Bladers in the world live. Therefore, when you sign yourself up on the BeyMap, an icon gets added in your location, and it becomes very easy to see the hot spots of the Beyblade community!

With just this set of data, you'll be already able to see :
  • who else lives close to you
  • how many Bladers are around you
  • whether everybody else is more around one similar city, which would mean that you'd have to go out to their location for an event.

We had region threads in the WBO General forum before, but this is really something else! Below the BeyMap, you can see a list of the eight Members closest to you, without even needing to snap your fingers!

Events

The first of the two new features: tournaments are now shown directly on the BeyMap! They're very easy to notice, what with their flashy WBO icon! [Image: mapeventlogo3.png]

But oh boy, that absolutely isn't it!
  • Hovering over the orange WBO icon will show you the details of the event, such as the date of the tournament, the location, and the link to the topic. Clicking on this link will of course take you right to the official thread for the WBO Event, and you can post there to let the Organizer know that you'll be able to attend the tournament!

  • You can see upcoming Events right below the Map too! No need to search on the map among all the Blader icons and the Event icons for where you live: the info's right there, quickly within your reach!

  • The most important add-on: we're able to send invites to all the Bladers in the region of an upcoming or potential tournament! That's right, forget about keeping your contact list up-to-date; as long as everyone's registered on the Map, we'll be able to reach everybody and let them know about your tournament! This will work on two dimensions: if a region has never had any Events before, we can send a tentative invite to people nearby the proposed location of the tournament and we'll ask the interested to post about their intention to come to the Event; if it's a region that's used to have tournaments already, or if an Event has gotten the minimum eight players in a new region and has finally been approved, then a new official message will be sent out to all the Members close to the Event to let them know that it's definitely going to happen!

Stores

Oooh, we bet you didn't see that one coming!

Another part of the reality of being a Blader is... finding your stock! It's great to know that there are fellow Bladers around you and that there are Events nearby too, but you can't do much without good Beyblade parts!

For this reason, you'll now be able to use the BeyMap to find out where the nearby Stores are that carry Beyblades, and exactly which items they have in stock! It's also useful for your last-minute Beyblade needs before a tournament: now you can see all the stores close to the Event location, as well as see if they have something you're looking for, like a new RF or R²F for your Attack combos!

This layer of the BeyMap is entirely user-generated though. This is where you can put your "BeyHunting" to great use! When you go to a store and see that Toys "R" Us on X street in Y state has all the basic Hyperblade releases, take a few minutes to go add that information on the BeyMap so that other Bladers interested in that region's stock can benefit from those details. It's really simple, and if someone else goes afterwards and sees that there are no more Big Bang Pegasus F:D in stock, the information on the Map can be updated with a quick click!

There are 2 simple steps to contributing to the Stores layer of the BeyMap:

1. Add the Store onto the BeyMap - Know a store, whether huge like a local Toys "R" US or Walmart, or a smaller distributor like One Eyed Jacques in the future? Mark it up right on the BeyMap, and that'll already be useful to other Bladers who might just be looking for a store selling Beyblades, short and sweet like that! To add a Store, you really just need to go on the main page of the Map, and go to the section on shops right at the bottom. You'll be taken to a page with futher instructions there.

2. Add the Store's stock - When you went to Target on (Blader Street) in (BeyState), you saw Wing Pegasus, L-Drago Destructor F:S, Beat Lynx AD145WD (Metal Fury), Omega Dragonis 85XF, and Flash Sagittario 230WD ? Let others know about it just by going on the Stores layer by clicking on the "Stores" box at the top right corner of the BeyMap, find the shop you are referring to, and manage its stock right there just by submitting separate item names.

Don't worry about the big chunks of text, we got our very dear BLADER DJ to walk you through the technicalities and features of the new BeyMap! Thanks BLADER DJ for taking time out of your retirement to grant us with your questionable English and your fiery hot Blader Spirit!

If you're shy or wish to remain slightly confidential, no worries: don't hesitate to make your location on the BeyMap as vague as you want. You live in Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario, Canada ? You can either only enter "Ontario, Canada", or you can write "Toronto, Ontario, Canada" instead since you'll probably get updates about events there anyway. It's totally up to you!

Being a Blader has truly never been easier! Besides getting all your top info and advice from the experts of the WBO, you can now know very quickly whether there's a Beyblade tournament right in your area, and you'll know where to improve your collection too! With Metal Fury not yet having reached all the regions in the world, and with Shogun Steel, Hasbro's adaptation of Metal Fight Beyblade Zero-G, you'll know where to go as soon as it's known!

All of these new features definitely incarnate the core principles that the World Beyblade Organization was created with, notably being open to every Blader, informing every Blader, helping every Blader, and realising Blader's dreams. From the beginning, and for years to come, we take our hobby into our hands, and nothing's going to stop us!

So now, go share this news with all your friends interested in Beyblade; we wasted time with the downtime of the usermap before, but we've still got 80,000 Members, the official Beyblade Facebook Page has more than 300,000 followers, so we can definitely cover some of the ground we've lost!

If you're on Twitter, we've created a new hashtag just for this: #WBOBeyMap #GameDev #Beyblade
On Facebook, you can simply share our news post!

Also, here's one such tournament you will be able to find marked on the BeyMap in the next few weeks and that you can look forward to!

Are you ready for such a huge occasion?!
Dear World Bladers, the results for the Scavenger Hunt are in!

This first edition was a huge success, and you can bet that we will try it again in the future (with new questions and achievements of course)! One thing's certain: it definitely made people search more around the site and even learn more about its history and its functions.

What did you like most about it? Do you think something should have been different? Were there not enough goals to achieve? Let us know right here in this topic.

First of all, let's see what the actual answers are for each of the questions!
  • Host or participate in at least one approved tournament (4 points)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org : "What's the average RPM for a Metal Fight Beyblade?" (1 Point) : 5500, with a Beylauncher, the launcher used by most Bladers
  • Get four of your referrals to Like the official WBO Facebook Page (2 Points)
  • Earn four (new) valid referrals (3 Points) (To be valid, referrals needed to have a few posts/be active, and they should also not share your IP address.)
  • Get a photograph of at least four people playing Beyblade, with a big sign saying "Happy Anniversary WBO! " (3 Points)
  • Share a Beywiki article (requires proof such as a screenshot) (1 Point)
  • Share a BeyChannel video (requires proof such as screenshot) (1 Point)
  • Where on BeyChannel? "Bring on the power!" (1 Points) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GBiEMYA...GA&index=8
  • Receive an additional, new Face (2 Points)
  • Be the first to find the "____ Face" hidden around the site each week (2 Points) (To find the answers, you should look throughout the other topic.)
  • Post an entry in the "Face Contest: Design Burning Kerberous ZERO-G Ver.!" (2 Points)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "What was the precursor to the World Beyblade Organization?" (1 Point) : The IBA! http://wiki.worldbeyblade.org/index.php/IBA:About
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "What was our first ever official tournament?" (1 Point) : The first tournament to officially be held after the World Beyblade Organization was launched, and with enough players to be forever considered official too, was Frozen Garden Cup - http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Frozen-G...ntral-Park
  • Upload a video to Youtube discussing what you like the most about the World Beyblade Organization (2 Points)
  • NEW!! Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "What were the original names for Sagittario and Leone?" (1 Point) : Chiron/Cheiron and Leo
  • NEW!! Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "Who are all the Members who were shown wearing a WBO T-shirt on this site?" (2 points) : Valentin, Bey Brad, Kei, ikmv, Kai-V, marcoy, DJ Leon, zrialkilla, Atongits, and zionson. Some Italian Members were also shown wearing a WBO T-shirt, but they were technically not posted right on this site.
  • NEW!! Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "What are the usernames of all WBO Committee and Global Moderators, past and present, excluding those who have the Face of Soul?" [12 usernames] (2 Points) : Bey Brad, Uwik, Grey, Yugi Jyudai, ZenX, Cye Kinomiya, blah, OkiBlaze, Roan, Spinster, bugturtles, Diamond

We bet you're smashing your forehead with how close you were to getting all those answers right! Ah well, it's the effort that counts, we still love you!

By the way, we really enjoyed all the appreciation videos that were made just for this occasion! They were really sweet!

So, you remember what all the hot prizes are? To refresh your memory, here they are again:

Even if you're not in the top scorers, if you've got 5 points, you can redeem them for one of these:
For 6 points, you can get either of these:
However, for 8 points, you can get the brand new and exclusive Face Booster VIVID [Image: faceboostervivid.png]! This is your only chance!

But hey, you remember that we mentioned that 10 lucky Members who would do something extra in this Scavenger Hunt, notably by the quality of their contributions, would get a special prize? This surprise is from dimsum2u, who has generously decided to add 10 clear red Perseus Faces to the prize pool!! Thanks dimsum2u! Look at these beauties!

The winners, specifically chosen by us, are: Tris, Sentinel Prime, Luck, Cannon, Galaxy, Dark_Mousy, Darrel Lie, The Assassin, Lambo-Kun, and Samkul238. Good work to all of you! Send a PM to Kai-V with your shipping address.

That's it for today! Once again, congratulations to everybody, you all did really well!

By the way, we might have a very brief maintenance period in the night of Saturday to Sunday, but it shouldn't last much more than an hour! We'll simply be upgrading our software.
Good morning/afternoon/night World Bladers!

The results of the Scavenger Hunt are coming up soon, but for the moment, we wanted to properly promote one of the big Beyblade tournaments of 2013 : BEYBLADE COLOSSEUM.

Hosted by Dark_Mousy, this event will be held inside the Carolina Games Summit, a huge gaming convention located in North Carolina, specifically at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro.

On February 2nd, the main tournament will happen. Since there will be many participants, the format will be Double Elimination, adding much stress and excitement to the game!

The day after, on February 3rd, Dark_Mousy will host two smaller events, one with the Zero-G format, and the other, with the Plastics format. Every Blader can find their prefered game!

The World Beyblade Organization will of course be sponsoring all of these tournaments, but Youtube's Beyblade Geeks as well as Hasbro have agreed to lend out prizes too! This will be wicked!

You can find the official press release written by the Carolina Games summit right here: http://carolinagamessummit.com/journal.php#93

And here's the Beyblade Geeks' cool video about BEYBLADE COLOSSEUM and their sponsorship:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7710pwYWDnI

So, if you're in reasonable distance to North Carolina, even if you live in another state, this will definitely be an intense weekend and you really don't want to miss it!

BeyUK - 26/05/16 update

I thought I would drop this link to our youtube account. It is mainly music videos that we have produced over the many years, as well as the beginning of a project that Breedo is putting together, called the BeyUK Preservation Project.

This confirms that the current Zero-G series in Japan will go up to at least 51-52 half-episodes in order to create 26 full half-hour episodes for the Western countries. Therefore, Metal Fight Beyblade Zero-G should continue in Japan until March, as usual.

Meanwhile, there are still no news about upcoming Beyblade releases from TAKARA-TOMY though.

There is no information about approximately when the new Metal Fight Beyblade season "Shogun Steel" will be broadcast in the Western countries or about when Hasbro plans to start releasing the new Beyblades and whether they will be left intact.

Celebrations: WBO Anniversary!

  • Kai-V
  • Dec. 04, 2012  11:49 PM
Good morning/afternoon/night World Bladers!

December 5th is usually Brad Day, but this year we decided that it was appropriate to make the transition to simply "WBO Anniversary". As Brad once said over five years ago:

Bey Brad Wrote:This is not my community. This is our community.

So, it is with these words in mind that we are proud to announce that December 4th, 2012, is the WBO's 4th Anniversary!!

For the official 4th anniversary of the World Beyblade Organization, there are tons of festivities to celebrate these four years full of hundreds of tournaments all around the world, the highest degree of innovation in customizations, and always the hottest Beyblade news! You definitely can’t find that anywhere else, and we should be proud to be a part of this phenomenon!

Tweet away and be sure to share these celebrations on Facebook too! Don't forget to follow and like us as well!:

[Image: twitteric.png] @worldbeyblade [Image: facebookic.png] WorldBeybladeOrganization

To start off, you've probably already noticed, but we've updated the index banner with the newest incarnation of Pegasis, Samurai Pegasis!

Scavenger Hunt
Now, to kick off the celebrations, we’ve got a super exciting, month-long activity : a Scavenger Hunt!! The goal of this hunt is to gain as many points as possible by fulfilling several objectives related to the WBO. Here they are :
  • Host or participate in at least one approved tournament (4 Points)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org : "What's the average RPM for a Metal Fight Beyblade?" (1 Point)
  • Get four of your referrals to Like the official WBO Facebook Page (2 Points)
  • Earn four (new) valid referrals (3 Points)
  • Get a photograph of at least four people playing Beyblade, with a big sign saying "Happy Anniversary WBO! " (3 Points)
  • Share a Beywiki article (requires proof such as a screenshot) (1 Point)
  • Share a BeyChannel video (requires proof such as screenshot) (1 Point)
  • Where on BeyChannel? "Bring on the power!" (1 Points)
  • Receive an additional, new Face (2 Points)
  • Be the first to find the "____ Face" hidden around the site each week (2 Points)
  • Post an entry in the "Face Contest: Design Burning Kerberous ZERO-G Ver.!" (2 Points)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "What was the precursor to the World Beyblade Organization?" (1 Point)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "What was our first ever official tournament?" (1 Point)
  • Upload a video to Youtube discussing what you like the most about the World Beyblade Organization (2 Points)
  • NEW!! Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "What were the original names for Sagittario and Leone?" (1 Point)
  • NEW!! Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "Who are all the Members who were shown wearing a WBO T-shirt on this site?" (2 points)
  • NEW!! Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "What are the usernames of all WBO Committee and Global Moderators, past and present, excluding those who have the Face of Soul?" [12 usernames] (2 Points)

The first hidden Face this week is Sagittario! [Image: sagittarioface.png] This is a big big site, where could it be?! Stay tuned to this thread each week for which Face needs to be found! And if you end up being the first person to find it, be sure to post about it here in this thread as quickly as you can! That way, everyone will know when it was found.

Update: Sagittario has been found!

Whenever you have completed a goal, please PM Kai-V and she will confirm that you have completed it. She will also periodically update the leaderboard that will be added to this thread soon!

And please be aware that posting answers to any of the fact-based questions anywhere on the WBO is prohibited. If anybody does, we may be forced to warn and disqualify you from the competition.

Scavenger Hunt Prizes
As mentioned, whoever gets the highest number of points will win, but the prize is awesome! Mtwo, whose recolours you might have seen lately, has generously agreed to make us exclusive Pegasis customs with the colours of the WBO! These will include Big Bang Pegasis for the Member with the most points, Galaxy Pegasis for the second place, and Storm Pegasis for the third place. The top three winners will be the only ones in the whole world to have these recolours! Mtwo should be posting sneak peaks of the recolours as they reach completion just to make you all drool!

But this isn’t it, we wouldn’t stop there! All Bladers who will have gathered at least 4 points will automatically get the exclusive WBO Anniversary Face!! [Image: anniversaryface2012.png]

In addition to this, you can actually spend your Scavenger Hunt points on Face Boosters, including the brand new, limited edition, Face Booster VIVID [Image: faceboostervivid.png] !

Face Booster VIVID will come at a cost of 8 points.

These Face Boosters will cost 6 points each.
And these, 5 points each:

And here's a break down of how the recolours will be distributed, and what other physical prizes can be won through participating in the Scavenger Hunt:
  • 1st Place: Big Bang Pegasis F:D WBO Ver. + BBG-26 Starter Samurai Pegasis W105R²F + Face Booster VIVID
  • 2nd Place: Galaxy Pegasis W105R²F WBO Ver. + BBG-26 Starter Samurai Pegasis W105R²F + Face Booster VIVID
  • 3rd Place: Storm Pegasis 105RF WBO Ver. + BBG-26 Starter Samurai Pegasis W105R²F + Face Booster VIVID
  • 4th-8th Place: BBG-26 Starter Samurai Pegasis W105R²F
  • 9th-15th Place: ZERO-G Booster of your choice
  • 16th-20th Place: BBG-23 Zero-G Random Booster Vol. 3 Bandid Genbull F230TB

As was mentioned earlier, the Scavenger Hunt is a month-long promotion. The WBO Anniversary is on December 4th, but this game will last until January 4th 2013, so you have a whole month to rack up as many points as you can! This is also when Face Boosters will officially become available in exchange for the points you have accumulated.

No Entry Fee: Dec 16-24
To notably help with that goal of hosting or participating in a tournament, we’ve come to you with an awesome limited deal : from December 16th to December 24th 2012, the entry fees will be lifted!!

In other words, all WBO tournaments in that period will be entirely free, so don’t miss out on this opportunity!

Anniversary Celebration Videos
As you may have noticed in the list of goals above, we’d also like to invite you to film a video of yourself, masked or not depending on your preference, because we want to hear what you like the most about the World Beyblade Organization.

We’ll tag all those videos along to a video we will upload to BeyChannel soon to advertise these Anniversary celebrations!

Face Contest
What are festivities without a Face Contest?

To honour the WBO’s Beywiki, you can immediately go participate in the Face Contest : Design a Zero-G Burning Kerberous Beyblade!

The winner will actually win a Burning Kerberous, as well as the Zero-G Beyblade of their choice! Woo!

Blader Rewards: 3rd Wave

On December 18th 2012, we’ll be launching the 3rd wave of Blader Rewards, after such a high demand! Included in the rewards is the brand new Face Booster JET [Image: faceboosterjet.png]

Check out the rest of the awesome rewards here that are just about to be released!

However, to ensure that all the top prizes are not gone as soon as we release the new wave and to set everyone with a fair start, we’ll be reducing everyone’s Credits to 7 for Bladers who have more Credits than that at the moment, like we did with the advent of the 2nd wave.

Since tournaments have not started being processed yet, we have recently been distributing all Faces and Credits won at all events hosted before September 19th 2012. This will be the cut-off mark, so all tournaments organised after that will not count in the reduction mentioned above. After December 18th, we will give the Credits and Faces for those later events and you won’t lose them at all.

So, hurry up and spend your few additional Credits in the Face Boosters you prefer!

New Faces
Ohoh, here come brand new Faces!

[Image: mf2face.png] The MF2 Face will be given to WBO Organizers who have hosted at least ten successful tournaments! They truly deserve the 0.6-gram surplus!

[Image: platinumgoldface.png] The Rose Platinum Face is taking the collectioners' dream to the next level: instead of fifty Beyblades, you must collect at least 150 Beyblades to get this Face!

[Image: alexandriteface.png] Oh, an old Face that finally gets a meaning! Bladers who will have spent a lot of time testing Beyblade combos, as well as those who do the effort of testing the latest-released parts as soon as possible for the community will be eligible for the Alexandrite Face!

WBO USB Key
Finally, dimsum2u, our Authorized Beyblade Dealer, has built an amazing WBO souvenir: the WBO USB key!

They come in three different capacities, and they're quite cheap! This USB key is ideal to save all your Beyblade content, your tournament-organising software, and many more things!

On top of that, a percentage of all sales goes to the World Beyblade Organization as a generous donation from dimsum2u. Don't waste your time, it's a limited and exclusive offer that you won't find anywhere else! Stop using that ugly, common USB key; yuck.

This is a celebration for all of us, so we hope you enjoy everything and have a wonderful day, or even a whole month if you participate in the Face Contest and the Scavenger Hunt! We're all winners here whatever happens, so let's give a wide round of applause!

Happy WBO Anniversary!

Hey World Bladers,

If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the November 2012 giveaway for a brand new BBG-24 Ultimate Synchrom DX Set Attack & Balance Type or BBG-25 Ultimate Synchrom DX Set Stamina & Defense Type! And to make up for missing out on the monthly giveaways over the past few months, we've decided to giveaway not just one of each of these sets, but two! So, there will be four winners! Bladers who post in this thread and do not possess a Blader Passport will have their posts immediately deleted.

To make the deal even sweeter, we will also throw in a free Face Booster for each winner!
This contest will run for eleven days until November 30th, 2012, 11:59:59PM EST. Any Passport Holders who post after that date/time will not be entered. The winners will be announced shortly after the date has passed and will have their prize shipped to them free of charge!

Good luck everyone!

Also, be sure to check the list of winners for the 75,000 Members Celebration BeyLotto if you haven't already!
The moment you have all been waiting for has come!

Oddly, out of more than five hundred people who visit this site everyday, only 364 have entered the giveaway. Oh well! "Too bad" for you, and "Alright!" to everyone who did enter because it gave them more chance!

First, here's a recap of the prizes:

34 winners are going to be able to choose one of these Face Boosters!

On top of that, 4 of these 34 winners will be in the top four for these prizes:

1st: Wide Square Type BeyStadium + Dark Knight Dragooon LW160BSF Limited Golden Dragon Model + Triple Battle Set + BBG-13 Synchrom Battle Set

2nd: Triple Battle Set + Berserker Begirados SR200BWD + Zero-G Stadium Attack Type + BBG-13 Synchrom Battle Set

3rd: Triple Battle Set + blue VariAres D:D + Jade Jupiter S130RB

4th: Phantom Orion B:D + Lightning L Drago 100HF Kyokuryuu Ver. + Beylauncher Cosmo Blue

The Triple Battle Sets are kindly donated by Hasbro!!

So, thirty-four winners, but four of those thirty-four are TOP winners!

But now, to make you linger even more, let's explain where the 3s and the 4s were in the prizes which made us choose those items. Some of you had great ideas, even more reasonings than we had originally, but in the end, there were still some reasons missing!

The Wide Square Type BeyStadium: BB-33, and it is four-sided.

Dark Knight Dragooon: Three Os, three words, three heads.

Triple Battle Set: "triple", three products inside this Set, and we were donated three by Hasbro USA.

Synchrom Battle Set: 1+3=4.

Berserker Begirados: Ber-ser-ker (3 syllables), Be-gi-ra-dos (4 syllables).

Zero-G Stadium Attack Type: three exits.

VariAres D:D: Has 3x4 modes, D:D has three tips, VariAres has three sides, and the name has four syllables (Va-ri-A-res).

Jade Jupiter S130RB: Jade has four metal balls, 1+3=4.

Phantom Orion: arguable, but it could be said that it has four syllables (Phan-tom O-rion). It also only has four parts including the Face.

Lightning L Drago: three heads, L-Dra-go, Kyo-ku-ryuu.

BeyLauncher Cosmo Blue: Bey-laun-cher, cos-mo blue.

We admit, some were superfluous, but we forced them in for the benefit of the community, so that you would have more awesome prizes!

Finally, it's time! The thirty winners of a Face Booster are:

Wow, you guys are one lucky bunch! To claim your prizes, send a private message to Kei with your shipping details.

For everybody listed in this post to claim their Face Booster, simply post in this topic, and we'll once again make the Faces rain! The top four winners aren't excluded, by the way!

Again, this is a huge milestone that's awesome to celebrate, and we hope you enjoyed this little thrill in the form of a BeyLotto! Keep watching for the next few monthly Passport Holders giveaways, that'll be your way to try your luck again!

See you at the 100,000 Members Celebration (and many times before that too...)!
As you know, we have been hard at work on the BeyPoints System Renovation and we are delighted to inform you that we are 80% complete - almost finished!

The formula revision and tournament data analysis portions of the project are done, and now we are in the process of having a programmer update the BeyPoint system so that the old tournament data can be transformed automatically rather than re-entering 75,000 matches by hand.

The programming has taken a little longer than we anticipated, but once it is completed, the Renovation will be complete and BeyPoint processing will then resume immediately at full force.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to letting you know when everything is done!

BeyChannel Revitalization Project

Hello World Bladers!

After falling into relative disuse for the past couple years, the WBO Committee has recently decided to begin taking steps to revitalize our official Youtube Channel, BeyChannel!

Beyblade News
The revitalization will begin with a new segment titled "Beyblade News". Check out the first video!:

As you can see, the main purpose of these news announcement videos will be to drive traffic to the WBO–specifically, the official thread for the product being announced/revealed–emphasizing that we are always the first to announce details regarding new Beyblade releases outside of Japan. Additionally, now, besides the forums themselves, and our Facebook and Twitter pages, BeyChannel will become yet another avenue for Bladers to be among the first to learn about upcoming releases.

And of course, any help you guys can provide by liking our videos, sharing them, and subscribing would be greatly appreciated! Smile

By the way, the Beyblade News video above (and all subsequent updates) was produced by our very own Tris (and narrated by ... Dude!) ! Be sure to check out his Youtube Channel: iTris2. As a token of our thanks, we are awarding him with the prestigious Peridot Face [Image: peridotface.png]! Thanks for putting up with all of our nitpicking, haha.

From the very beginning, however, BeyChannel has always been first and foremost, about presenting content for serious Bladers, and Bladers who are looking to learn about the competitive aspects of Beyblade for the first time:

My goal is to provide loads of high quality, high definition Beyblade videos with no fillers and no random battle requests between terrible Beyblades! Any video posted here will have a purpose for serious Bladers.

...

Our first video is on the infamous Sliding Shoot. I know a lot of you have been having trouble performing this, and it's a hard technique so it's no surprise, so let's work on it together! Watch the Sliding Shoot video in HIGH DEFINITION!

Rest assured, BeyChannel will not be straying far from its original spirit. In addition to the "Beyblade News" and other update videos, we also have many ideas for new content tailored specifically for serious Bladers, and novice Bladers looking to become competitive in the upcoming months.

And we are of course open to any suggestions of what you guys would like to see as well, so please, let us know if you have any ideas of your own!

Tournament Footage
There's one other aspect missing, though: tournament videos. As you all know, the WBO has also facilitated the hosting of hundreds of Beyblade tournaments across the globe since its inception. There's a handful of tournament videos up right now, but they're all within Canada; this certainly doesn't represent how far-reaching our userbase is, now does it? This is why we feel it's time to finally expand ... and to do that, we need your help! As a result, BeyChannel will now be open to submissions of new tournament footage from all Official WBO Tournament hosts/participants/spectators. Interested? Here is how the submission process will work:

Submission Process
1. Contact Kei for Font/Video/Audio Guidelines
2. Assemble tournament footage into a 2-4min clip (quality: minimum 480p widescreen and footage must have not been posted on Youtube before)
3. Upload the assembled footage to a file sharing website and send it to the WBO Committee for review.
4. If approved, the WBO Committee will add the BeyChannel intro/outro to your footage, and then post the video on BeyChannel!

Simple, isn't it?

(Protip for anyone who is interested in doing this: while close-ups of individual battles are very important, try to get a few shots of the venue, participants, etc.)

Tournament footage contributors who have their material posted on BeyChannel will also be given one of the following Face Boosters as our way of saying "thank you" for all of your efforts:

That's all for now! Again, please like and share our videos, and subscribe if you haven't already!

75,000 Members Celebration!!

As of today, the World Beyblade Organization has reached the milestones of 75,000 Members! That's way more than any other fan-run Beyblade community has ever had!! Congrats to us all for making this awesome community possible!

To celebrate, we're launching... an exclusive BeyLotto!

For the occasion, since what's making it exist is each of our 75,000 Members, we're opening the entry to... absolutely everyone! That's right, simply by posting here, you'll be entered for the BeyLotto; there's no other requirement!

As for the prizes, we decided to be crazy about this whole number, 75. However, 75 doesn't appear much in Beyblade to have an exciting pool of prizes, so we thought a little bit further...

We're basically at 75,000 Members from what would be an awesome, even bigger milestone of 100,000 Members, right? So what's 75,000/100,000? Mhm, 0,75; in other words, 3/4! The list of prizes is therefore built all around 3s and 4s! What's more, it's almost time for the fourth Brad Day...!

So, here's the list of prizes, but we're leaving you to guess where the 3s and 4s are integrated! Post your guesses right in this topic.

First of all, 34 winners are going to be able to choose one of these Face Boosters!

On top of that, 4 of these 34 winners will be in the top four for these prizes:

1st: Wide Square Type BeyStadium + Dark Knight Dragooon LW160BSF Limited Golden Dragon Model + Triple Battle Set + BBG-13 Synchrom Battle Set

2nd: Triple Battle Set + Berserker Begirados SR200BWD + Zero-G Stadium Attack Type + BBG-13 Synchrom Battle Set

3rd: Triple Battle Set + blue VariAres D:D + Jade Jupiter S130RB

4th: Phantom Orion B:D + Lightning L Drago 100HF Kyokuryuu Ver. + Beylauncher Cosmo Blue

The Triple Battle Sets are kindly donated by Hasbro!! Thanks for your generosity, again! The recolours are certainly quite nice, and the stadium's fun to play in.

So, have you already discovered all the 4s and 3s in those prizes?! Not in the mood for mathematical riddles? Bah, whatever it is, you've got a reason to post right here for sure! You have until October 31st 2012 to enter.

Good luck to everyone, and congratulations for reaching this milestone together! Without each Blader, this community wouldn't have been able to go as far as it has, conquering countries all around the world to impose this passion that unites us all!
