Good day World Bladers!

Hundreds of tournaments later, years of use later, new situations have arisen in our region-based communities that necessitate a change of the formula used in the Beypoint System. In the goal of getting a more accurate and fair calculation of the Beypoints involved in matches of an event, we are therefore temporarily halting the processing of the tournaments currently in the Beypoint Queue as well as those that are coming up, right until the formula has been modified and is all ready for use. However, we will continue with the processing of Credits and Faces for each tournament! We have added a new section in the BeyPoints Queue thread titled "Faces and Credits Awarded" which lists the tournaments that have had this done.

In short, the new formula will be designed not to punish losers as severely, but also not restrict highly ranked Bladers from gaining points at the peak of their career: it wasn't rare that a player lost Beypoints and fell in the rankings from coming third! This is insane!
Furthermore, tournament size will be taken into consideration in this new calculation: indeed, winning against 28 Bladers is more complicated than coming first against 8 Bladers, wouldn't you say? Double Elimination, which is usually used at tournaments with a high attendance, is also more dangerous to come out victorious from than when you can easily lose just a few times without worrying, heh?

We do not have a clear estimate of the delay this will create, but rest assured, this is not the end at all of the Beypoint System: it's in fact a real renaissance! If, however, we observed that the changes took much longer than expected, we would then consider resuming the processing of some more tournaments in the mean time.

This does not mean that we will be more lax on the reception of the results and funds from upcoming tournaments though, and just as many events will keep being approved, which is why, in many cases, we need to make sure that the previous tournaments from that region or that host were all cleared before a new one goes ahead.

So, we would simply like to ask for your collaboration during this period. We will of course try to make it as short as possible since we know that you can't wait to compare how you rank compared to others in your area or around the world. This is really in everyone's best interest, since everyone will have a fair chance now!

---------------------------------------

Not that this was grave news, but here's also some exciting news: today is the beginning of a new series of Face Contests: "Design this upcoming Beyblade!".

Every once in a while, a Face Contest will be started where you will be challenged to imagine what a future Beyblade release will look like. What's even more awesome about this is that the only judge will be time!! In other words, whoever has the design closest to the actual Beyblade that gets released by TAKARA-TOMY will win! Moreover, this winner will actually get the product they designed!!

The first Face Contest to open this series is: "Design Bandid Gamble!" While the name's spelling is not confirmed, we can guess that it is based on Genbu, so it'll be interesting to see what turtle-based designs you can come up with!

http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Face-Con...did-Gamble

Contain your excitement though: we know you love these design Face Contests, but due to the variable and unpredictable nature of the future, perhaps there will be some months without any Face Contests from this series, because this or that release's picture has been leaked too early, for instance! Hey, it's not impossible that there's a downside to always getting the hottest Beyblade news exclusively! But we'll be sure to make the fun exist as often as possible! If something gets officially revealed before the Face Contest is over, also, that means we will have to end it early, for obvious reasons.

We hope you are all excited by these pieces of news, and still look forward to more awesome announcements, as usual!

Yo World Bladers!

Practically five years on, and Beywiki still isn't that advanced!! What sorcery is this?!

The knowledge is in all of us already though, so we've just got to unite everyone to complete the Beywiki Project as much as we can. With some luck, perhaps we'll be finished before October, Beywiki's actual five-year anniversary!

To help us all in this adventure, we've decided to implement a few new ideas that will hopefully make the BeySpirit inside each of you flare with new life, with the thought of being able to provide the best information center for all Bladers around the world!

Fact Dépôt topic
Hey, it's not necessarily everyone who can write articles, due to not actually owning the Beyblades, or because their English is not perfect, and even those who can write articles for Beywiki might not know where to start or exactly what to include.

For these reasons, we're opening the Fact Dépôt thread! This topic will have the purpose of collecting useful information about any type of Beyblade or Beyblade product, whether it's a recolour from the WBBA we must not forget to add, or a comment to say that this or that part has been proven to do well in Attack/Defense/Stamina/Balance. For more information, make sure to check the thread!

Projects of the Moment
Working everywhere at the same time, not knowing where to focus, and doing so without a deadline in mind isn't good for anyone!

To help shape up the Beywiki contributions even more, let's introduce Projects of the Moment! Like assignments for the whole Beyblade community, each project will have a different subject, with a varying deadline between two and three weeks depending on what the task is. By the end of all projects, we'll surely be many steps closer to having a complete Beywiki!

The first Project of the Moment to start off is: Let's shoot all those recolors! We must add photographs of all the recolors listed on Beywiki before September 20th. Read the topic for this project to know exactly which recolours are missing photos. We've got to hurry! Dance for the Sol Blaze to shine and give you good light for your photographs!

The second Project of the Moment is: Make the Stadiums articles burst! In four weeks, we must publish articles for all the stadiums! Read the topic for this project for more details.

The third Project of the Moment is up: Measurement Freaks! Within two weeks, we need to add as many measurements of Beyblade parts onto Beywiki as possible, but we're positive we'll be able to go very close to 100%! For more details, visit this topic.

Approved Drafts Sub-Forum
This addition is mostly administrative because it gets really dizzying to look through all the drafts to catch one that is not already published on Beywiki. However, this'll help all of our Members see which drafts really need to be worked on because they are the only ones left. I dream that one day we'll have an empty Beywiki Project forum only waiting for drafts on the very latest Beyblade releases!!

For the moment, threads in this sub-forum will remain open. This way, if you think an article needs to be rewritten to reflect the information of the current metagame rather than the old situation, you can post a notification in the topic for the old draft, and if it's a substantial and big edit that has to be done, then we'll consider creating a new thread in the main Beywiki Project forum.

In addition, we've decided to give th!nk temporary editing and approving powers on Beywiki for plastics matters, which could definitely become permanent! That guy knows his stuff on plastics, so there's got to be a way this knowledge can be compatible with Beywiki on a greater level!

With all these new ways to contribute to the Beywiki Project, Faces like the Peridot Face [Image: peridotface.png] and the Lapis Lazuli Face [Image: lapislazuliface.png] are only as far away from your profile as you let them be! Because yes, there are now plenty of other ways to help with Beywiki besides actually writing drafts. The hype is now, the hype is us! Let's make the tri-headed logo really proud!

Thanks to all of you in advance!!

FAREWELL, MY FRIENDS~~~!

Introducing the Zero-G Format!

  • Kai-V
  • Aug. 11, 2012  6:47 PM
After much deliberation, let's introduce the brand new Zero-G Format!

In this format, only Zero-G Stadiums (Attack, Defense and Balance Type) can be used, and all Metal Fight Beyblades are legal in them. Due to the continuity in the parts used both in the Zero-G Format and in the Standard Format, tournaments following the Zero-G format are going to be processed in the current Beypoint System. Past trials have shown that it's relatively easy to adapt quickly to these new exciting swaying stadiums, so let's do it!

Here are a few rules that were added to the Universal Rulebook which are specific to Zero-G:
  • A perfectly flat material such as cardboard with no irregularities in its surface must
be used below each stadium. Surfaces which are naturally flat, like laminated wood
    floors, are good by themselves.
  • Before each round, the stadium must be steadied by the judge.
  • Players should exhibit strong efforts not to touch the stadium during the launch, or
    at any other moment either.
  • Aside from the traditional methods of winning, a Blader has won a match the
moment the opponent's Beyblade starts tumbling over, not once its top face touches
the stadium floor (in case this imbalance actually knocks the other Blader's
combination before the flip is over). It is likely that the Beyblade has stopped
completing revolutions anyway, at that point.
  • A Beyblade is considered out, notably, once all parts of the Beyblade are no longer
contained within the stadium. In the case where a Beyblade gets momentarily stuck
in an exit and some pieces of it stick out from the hole, the Beyblade is still legally in
play - even if a part of the Beyblade touches the ground.
  • Beyblades must be launched no higher than thirty centimetres above the Stadium
Cover. The Stadium Cover is considered legal play area.

Well, let the testing formally begin! What'll be top-tier in the tournaments? What funky launching techniques can we come up with?

More cool announcements coming up too!
In Sunday, July 29th's issue of the Goldsboro News-Argus paper, a special feature was made: a whole article on Dark_Mousy's Blader Jam 7.0 tournament at the Tier Zero Gaming shop, and it appeared right on the front page!

The article describes Dark_Mousy's remarkable success in Beyblade tournaments, both as a participant but also as an organizer, and it tells about Beyblade in general as well as the World Beyblade Organization. Other Members like Axel Phantom, DefStamina88 and Smallfry were also interviewed.

Without further ado, here are scans of the article, showing the section that appears on the front page as well as the rest of it published on a whole page inside the newspaper:

A true success story for a whole bunch of people: Dark_Mousy, the World Beyblade Organization, the North Carolina Beyblade community, and Beyblade itself! Good job everyone!
Yo World Bladers!

July's the time to chill out under palm trees, enjoy an iced tea, take nice Beyblade photographs in the sun, but it's also the time for... HMS & Plastics Remembrance Day!

In order to highlight this generation of tops that is at Beyblade's origin, we want to really focus all of our attention on them in one special day! Here's everything that we've planned this year to fully enjoy Plastic and HMS Beyblades:

And now, I'm lending the mic to a special friend...

BLADER DJ!!

Happy HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day everyone!
Hey World Bladers,

If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the June 2012 giveaway for a brand new BBG-13 Beyblade Synchrom Battle Set! Bladers who post in this thread and do not possess a Blader Passport will have their posts immediately deleted.

To make the deal even sweeter, we will also throw in a free Face Booster for the winner!
This contest will run for five days until June 30th, 2012, 11:59:60PM EST. Any Passport Holders who post after that date/time will not be entered. The winners will be announced shortly after the date has passed and will have their prize shipped to them free of charge!

Good luck everyone!

Also, be sure to check the list of winners for the BEYDAYS 2012 BeyLotto if you haven't already!
Oh yes, the results are here! We bet you're all eager to see whether you got lucky. Here's a recap of this year's BeyLotto prizes:

  • 6th to 10th Place - BBG-09 Zero-G Random Booster Vol. 1 Thief Phoenic E230GCF!

The first ten winners will be able to choose one of these too:
In addition, we're of course going to include more than ten winners!

Passport Holders are a big part of what's making all of this possible, so the first three places will be dedicated to them! Don't forget that, even though there is going to be no entry fee in certain regions, Blader Passports can still be purchased at any WBO tournament, especially on BeyDays.

As we mentioned before, the first five lucky winners of ~ANYTHING THEY WANT~ will just have to provide the following:
- A list of three wanted Beyblade items;
- The items should be in order of desire;

To claim ~ANYTHING YOU WANT~, send your list of three items to all Committee Members (Arupaeo, Blitz, Hazel, Kai-V, Kei) as well as your shipping address.

We sincerely hope everybody had an awesome time on BeyDays, even if you unfortunately weren't at one of the 18 tournaments that ended up happening all around the world. Look out for BeyDays 2013!!

But wait! We told you there was a last-minute surprise!

Indeed, Hasbro is kindly giving away 3 Destroyer Dome Sets!! This sphere-like stadium works with rubber-covered Beyblades that can move on 360 degrees! Let's all thank Hasbro for this generosity!

Here are therefore the three winners of a Destroyer Dome Set:

PhantomFox27!

Bladerboy3!

Zoro786!

It seems like having numbers in your username made you lucky! Enjoy your Destroyer Dome stadium!

The WBO Committee is also proud to present the Face of Days III, to honour all those who made this year's BeyDays really awesome:

Starting from now, the Committee will distribute this Face to all the Bladers who have attended an event for BeyDays 2012. Hopefully you all like it! As you can see, it has some resemblance with the Zero-G styles, to hint at the official introduction of this new series in our game. And, of course, the fire of our BeySpirits!

Let's also use this thread to post our afterthoughts on BeyDays 2012 though.

What did you like? Is there something you disliked? Don't say losing, we're all here to learn and have fun!

We're also glad to hear any of your suggestions to make next year's BeyDays even more awesome, but remember: for events to happen in your region, you or someone else who also lives there needs to take the initiative to organise a tournament, we can't do much about this if you don't either!

Personally, even though we had less participants this year compared to BEYBLADE CRUSADE, going to BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2 was an even better experience. We had players from North Carolina, Maryland, Québec, and even London, UK. It was refreshing to get a taste of other metagames in the world, and it truly showed the amazing aspect of reunion this hobby has, but particularly that this community has.

Plus, people actually recognised me this year, hah.
Dear World Bladers, welcome to the 4th edition of BeyDays!!

In 2009, we had 2 huge tournaments.

In 2010, Italy was added to the lot for 3 huge tournaments.

In 2011, we blew up the numbers with 21 tournaments!

This year, on May 26th and 27th, what does the future hold for us?!

Even before this announcement, eight tournaments had been planned for BeyDays in some of the WBO's most active communities. Here's the current list of BeyDays 2012 events:

May 26th
May 27th
The United States are back in force this year! But, guys, BeyDays is on May 27th too! And we've only got fourteen events so far!!

In an attempt to bring back in the competition such locations as Sydney, Melbourne, and others, we're re-introducing last year's bonus, as well as adding a new one! No Blader should be excluded from BeyDays, so here's what we want to do:
  • Regions who have never hosted a WBO tournament in the past will be able to hold a free event for BeyDays 2012 without the $5 entry fee!
  • We will also waive the entry fee for regions that have not hosted an approved tournament in the last five months!
This is your opportunity to boost up your local community and start actively organising events there for everyone. Jump on the chance while you can! The normal entry fee or need for a Blader Passport will reinstated for all areas after BeyDays, so if you've got one weekend to celebrate Beyblade to the fullest, it's now!

Interested in hosting a BeyDays 2012 Tournament in your area? Click here for details! (Click to View)

As usual, what's a BeyDays Celebration without an awesome BeyLotto!!

All the Bladers who will have participated in a BeyDays tournament will be entered in this lottery for a chance to win wonderful prizes! In fact, if you enter two BeyDays tournaments (or more if you're that intense!), you'll be entered in the lottery as many times as your number of participations, so don't hold yourself back!

This year, we've decided to do something very special since we've started doing monthly giveaways of the newest products anyway; giving away the same items would be redundant. Therefore, welcome to... choice! That's right, we'll let the first five winners decide exactly what they want to win. You need a Beylauncher Suspension and an Attack Type BeyStadium? GIFT! You want to try out the new Zero-G Beyblades? OK! You want a beautiful Beyblade recolour? WOO!

All we ask is that those first five winners provide us with:
- A list of three wanted Beyblade items;
- The items should be in order of desire;
- The items should be reasonable! The WBO can't always get a yellow Aries Wheel!!

If your top priority is only a Beylauncher Suspension though, be careful, we could be more generous!

But five winners is not enough! Here's the summary of the prizes:
  • 1st to 5th Place - Your choice!

  • 6th to 10th Place - BBG-09 Zero-G Random Booster Vol. 1 Thief Phoenic E230GCF!

Face Boosters and BeyDays have become synonyms throughout the history of the World Beyblade Organization, so we also want to let the Faces rain, in excess!

Hey, the World Beyblade Organization is 'hip' now and we're all over the social networks! Not only are we on Facebook, but we also rebooted our Twitter account, again thanks to Dark_Mousy!

To celebrate both BeyDays and this Twitter news, we encourage all of you who have a Twitter account to re-tweet the #BeyDays2012 hashtag and spread the word about the festivities! Let's make it a trend!

And this is our Facebook Page, in case some of you missed our announcement:

Oh yes, we've heard your Blader Spirits' cries of excitement! Nobody can wait to try the new parts out in tournaments!

Although the WBO Committee has not yet come to a conclusion on everything about Zero-G, all Metal Fight Beyblade Zero-G parts are at least going to be allowed from now on. Yes, even Synchrom Wheels, for the moment, as long as nothing dominates too much.

Zero-G Stadiums are still considered 'illegal' for now and cannot be used yet. We still have to come to a conclusion about the best way to integrate this awesome new swaying gimmick in the Beypoint System, to keep the BeyRanks as fair and representative as possible. But rest completely assured: Zero-G Stadiums will definitely be legal eventually, it's just a matter of time! As such, we encourage all hosts to have short practice sessions, either at the beginning of their tournaments or at their end, to allow Bladers to try out and become familiar with the new gimmick. When the time comes, everyone'll be ready and dying to be let loose in these new stadiums!

Since the Rulebooks currently state that Metal Fight Beyblade parts are legal, we trust that we can have a common agreement over the use of Metal Fight Beyblade Zero-G parts until one of us gets time to properly edit the rules...!

Although we were planning some special lively media content, we decided not to make you guys wait any longer and announce the new wave of Blader Rewards for the Credits campaign too! Go check it out here:

http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-New-Cred...er-Rewards

The exciting pictures will have to wait~

Hey World Bladers,

If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the April 2012 giveaway for a brand new BBG-03 Start Dash Set! There will be not one, or two, but three winners! Bladers who post in this thread and do not possess a Blader Passport will have their posts immediately deleted.

To make the deal even sweeter, we will also throw in a free Face Booster for the winners!
This contest will run for two weeks until April 16th, 2012, 11:59:59PM EST. Any Passport Holders who post after that date/time will not be entered. The winners will be announced shortly after the date has passed and will have their prize shipped to them free of charge!

Good luck everyone!

And just as a note:
Metal Fight Beyblade ZERO-G products are not legal for use in officially sanctioned WBO tournaments until further notice. Along with testing, and modifying rulebooks accordingly, we also need to consider if we are going to implement a new format (and BeyRank separate from the current one), if we are simply going to modify an old format, or both.
Hello World Bladers!

In the past few weeks, we kept hinting at a lot of good news coming up in the future, so here's one of them!

In an effort to improve the quality of the World Beyblade Organization's tournaments, and to also give really all the tools a WBO Member would need to start up an approved event in their area, we've decided to open an Organizers' Circle forum!

Hosts will be able to share tips about tournament organization, crowd management, etc., and they will be encouraged to write a report for each event they hold. That way, we can all keep track of what went well, what worked less well, and we can all offer suggestions to improve future tournaments that host will do.

What's the requirement to gain access to this forum? You only need to have organized one successful WBO-approved tournament and you automatically get in! Of course, that means that this event must be "cleared", so you must have sent the WBO both the results and the money collected at your tournament. As such, we have more than fifty hosts, so we won't list them all, but hopefully you can recognise if you're part of this group or not.

We already have the best Beyblade tournament organizers here, so let's make the best out of it and these new interactions will certainly allow all the potential hosts to get on the same level as everyone else, for the best Beyblade experience there is!

The Organizers' Circle forum can be found in the WBO Organized Play category, with the Official Events forum and the WBO General forum.

Members who can post in this forum will have a username in bold. However, a lot of you are also Advanced Members, so we'll let you decide which 'decoration' you want!

In other, but related news, we have created a Teams sub-forum for the WBO General forum. Within the next few hours, all the team topics will be moved into this new sub-forum, so this will leave the important threads for trying to gather tournament interest in regions in the four other sub-forums that are the core of the WBO General forum.

All threads, no matter where they are located in the WBO General forum, must still have a proper prefix in their title, as was the rule in that forum.

Lastly, some of you might have noticed, but we've clarified that image macros count as one-liner posts too. Please take a moment to write your emotions in words, as always!

Hopefully you like all these news, and stay active for other awesome news in the future! We've definitely got a lot more!

Congratulations World Bladers, an amazing 13 tournaments have been hosted this February, with the majority being held in the United States! Actually, almost all of them were successful, so we've basically beaten our record from August, during the Summer Spin Showdown with Toywiz! It was the shortest month of all years, but with just one extra day, we've done a whole lot of extra for the Beyblade community.

To celebrate this feat, we're holding a BeyLotto full of extras! If you've played in one of the following tournaments, post here stating which event it was:

02/04/12 - Los Angeles, Super Beybattle 2nd Edition
02/11/12 - Goldsboro, Valen-Beys day
02/18/12 - Roanoke, The Face Race · · — — —
02/18/12 - Goldsboro, Blader Jam 4.0
02/19/12 - Taylor, The President's Beyblade Tournament
02/19/12 - New York, Spiral Grand Prix
02/19/12 - Surabaya, FIGHT CLUB: Beylentine
02/19/12 - Jakarta, Bey Bash: From Bey with Love
02/25/12 - Marietta, Oh, Bey Me!
02/25/12 - Washington DC, Leap Year Lashing
02/25/12 - Simi Valley, Super Beybattle 3rd Edition
02/25/12 - Québec, Québec Beychampionship I
02/26/12 - Toronto, 29 DAYS

And now, the part that everyone loves... The prizes!!

- The top winner will receive a Wing Pegasis S130RB Memorial Model! This will be a Beyblade you can be proud to own in a few years, when you will remember that the World Championships took place and you have a souvenir for it that few will have!

- The top winner as well as ten other winners will have a choice of two of the following Face Boosters:

But exceptionally, we're adding two new, exclusive Face Boosters to give you a taste of the changes that await you all in the Blader Rewards!

The description is right: What on Blader DJ's spirit could be inside those Face Boosters?!

So each of the 11 winners gets to choose two of those Face Boosters. Remember, though, that Face Boosters CRIMSON and AZURE will be available later in the Blader Rewards, yet that there aren't many opportunities to get the first six Face Boosters otherwise! Choose wisely if you're lucky enough to be picked!

Congratulations to every Blader and Organiser again, and hopefully you enjoy this BeyLotto!

This topic should only contain entries from participants of tournaments hosted by the WBO in February. If you wish to discuss the news, the new Face Boosters, etc. then please use the general thread for the Leap Year Celebrations.

You have until March 9th 2012 at 11:59:59 PM ET to enter this BeyLotto.

BeyUK.net closure

Some of you may not be aware, but BeyUK.net has closed down and is no longer present on the Internet apart from our domain name. This has come about because of a mixture of reasons with one of them being that I do not have very much spare time to keep updating BeyUK.net. I spend most of my day working extremely long hours on University work, so as you can imagine, my personal activities have suffered somewhat.

I have agreed for BeyUK.net to be redirected here up until the domain expires. As for the future of BeyUK.net, I don't know. I may bring it back once I'm working and can afford domain and hosting as I currently already pay for a few domains and hosting for my Graphic Design work.

Anyway, I need to thank the Bey Community for keeping BeyUK around as long as it has been, without you the site would have been nothing. I'll be floating around every once in a while, so see you around the forums.

Till next time!
Hey World Bladers,

If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the February 2012 giveaway for a brand new BB-126 Flash Sagittario 230WD! Bladers who post in this thread and do not possess a Blader Passport will have their posts immediately deleted.

To make the deal even sweeter, we will also throw in a free Face Booster for the winner!
This contest will run for just six days until February 29th, 2012, 11:59:59PM EST. Any Passport Holders who post after that date/time will not be entered. The winner will be announced shortly after the date has passed and will have their prize shipped to them free of charge!

Good luck everyone!
Ladies and gentlebladers, entertwine your Blader Spirits on this special day of the Valentines : we love you, and we want to show it to you!

Plus, it’s a special month with one extra day…

Here’s the summary of this announcement:
  • The Indonesian forum now lives!
  • Special Leap Year Celebrations!
  • Upcoming Refill of Blader Rewards!

Our Indonesian userbase has really flourished since the last BeyDays, and they’ve proved that they really deserve to get their own forum where they can speak in a language that is all common to them. Congratulations to you all! If you continue being so active, perhaps we can foresee a very interesting future resembling the Italian forum for you!!

Here’s a message in Indonesian:

Halo beybladers Indonesia! Selamat datang di forum WBO Indonesia. Silahkan dimanfaatkan untuk membahas segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan beyblade dan harap mengikuti peraturan-peraturan WBO.

… as well as a banner …

… made by your very own Uwik, who is not only a forum moderator for the Indonesian forum like his comrade wpardin, but who automatically got promoted to Global Moderator too! Congrats!

If you have any issues regarding the Indonesian forum, do not hesitate to contact wpardin, Uwik, or any of the Committee Members!

Love and frenzy are in the air! Let’s see what’s so special about this month:

- Valentine’s Day
- This February has one extra day
- We’ve gotten a whole lot of new information on Beyblade Zero-G and BeyWheelz
- But… most importantly…

There is an unbelievably high number of tournaments for this month which is so cold and so short!

If we compare the number of tournaments in February for the United States to our history of tournaments, such a feat has only ever been done before during the Summer Spin Showdown events in collaboration with Toywiz! And considering that most of this month’s tournaments are probably going to work, this is an awesome record!!

To support this super activity, we’ve decided to open some special LEAP YEAR CELEBRATIONS for the month of February!
  • All competitors in February events will get one extra Credit for participating, so that means that you get at least two Credits just for playing in one of the tournaments!

  • There will be a special BeyLotto that all the players of February tournaments will be able to enter, and the prize is a very special Bey: Wing Pegasis S130RB Memorial Model!! The top winner will also get to choose a Face Booster, and ten additional winners will receive two Face Boosters.

But wait!

We’re also going to include two brand new Face Boosters in the selection to give you a small sneak peak of the things with which we’ll refill the Blader Rewards!

No more on this topic though, we want to leave you some uncertainties so that you can speculate crazily in your mind. Stay close for our next update!

Now that was a lot of news. But guess what? We have a lot more coming up! We all hope you enjoy these celebrations and the Indonesian forum! We love you all!

WBO Facebook! + Rulebooks Changes

That’s right, the World Beyblade Organization is finally officially on Facebook!

(Click the above picture to access the Facebook Page!)

What’s in it if you’re already a Member here? Not that much since we still want to keep the discussions on here, but we’ll do our best to synchronise our announcements here with the announcements done on our Facebook Page. It’s a known fact that most kids, teenagers, and even adults spend a lot of time on Facebook, so that way you’ll be able to get updates from the WBO directly on Facebook, so you’ll know to head over here as soon as possible in order to observe the changes properly and talk about them.

Hopefully this way we’ll be able to reach out to more Bladers and the tournaments will be even more populated and fun! Who knows, perhaps other regions will start getting activity too!

We won't beg for your votes or anything, but if you like the idea, the World Beyblade Organization, the Page, then Like us on Facebook!

Additionally, we have also done some moderate changes to the Rulebooks.

Universal Rules
Standard Rules

Two modifications that are only for the Universal Rules :
  • the Salamalyon and Gryffolyon Attack Rings are now legal;
  • putting Uriel 2’s rubber tip inside Wolborg 2’s Right Spin Gear (Bearing Version 2) is now legal.

The last change was really common sense in our opinion, but it’s better not to take any chances because apparently such incidents have happened in the past :
  • if accidents take place that disturb the launch of a Blader, such as another player accidentally bumping into them while walking by, then the round is simply restarted without any penalty to either of the battling players.

That's it for now, but you can bet that part of our mysterious conversations where we let nobody know what we're on about is booked with news for the upcoming month, so stay close, and let your BeySpirit shine during this time of cold!
Hey World Bladers,

But there is still no other news about this confirmed season 4.

Hey World Bladers,

I forgot to post this about a week or so ago! I apologize to anyone that was waiting for it. However, it's still December right now (where I live, at least haha), so we can still do this!

If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the December 2011 giveaway for a brand new BB-122 Diablo Nemesis X:D! Bladers who post in this thread and do not possess a Blader Passport will have their posts immediately deleted.

To make the deal even sweeter, we will also throw in a free Face Booster for the winner!

Hello again all World Beybladers!

This is actually a news that not even the other Committee Members know of at the moment, but it's really awesome and it came right with perfect timing!

You all remember that last Monday, we celebrated Brad Day, right? We took a moment to enjoy the existence of this organization, and we thanked Brad for all he did.

Well, on the same day, we actually got contacted by Elizabeth Blair from the National Public Radio for an interview! Unfortunately, and she had warned me, she did not have enough time given for her story to mention the World Beyblade Organization in the end, but she did actually place our video of the Sliding Shoot Lesson on the matching article for the radio story online! Brad's very own creation, Beyblade Channel's very first lesson video gets featured in such a big radio's story, what a feat!

If you want to read the article and listen to her recording, you can go right here:

You can also read that the United States champion for 2011, Zakiah Garcia, apparently uses Big Bang Pegasis and it seems like he might have used it in the national championships, or at least that's what his speech and the article hint at. It could also just be his nickname for a combination with a Pegasis Clear Wheel, since 4D Beyblades are not supposed to be allowed at all...

In other, older news, this isn't the first time the World Beyblade Organization gets featured in the media: around the beginning of the year, Gulli Mag, a popular French magazine for kids, interviewed Kei (Scott) and I (Virginie) and published our answers in an exclusive Beyblade special issue!

The cover:

The pagespread where our interview appears:

A close-up:

Of course, the words are in French, so here's a translation, but remember that we answered the interviewer's questions almost a year ago, so our suggestions are really outclassed now!

Quote:Pros' tips and experiences
Scott (18 years old) and Virginie (19 years old) are part of the WBO, an organisation of Bladers in Canada. There, Virginie participated in a tournament. Scott, on his side, came in the top 3 in 6 tournaments and won 2 others. Your mag[azine] tells you their experiences and their tips to really get prepared for your upcoming battles...

In what state of mind do you need to be to begin your battles?
Scott: The most important thing is not to undersetimate your opponent. You can't go to your matches thinking that it'll be an easy win. In Beyblade battles, the fight begins even before you've attached your top to the launcher. Preparation is therefore a key element. And you must try to anticipate what top your opponent will use in order to counter it.

What combo would you suggest?
Scott: If you can master your shooting technique, MF Lightning L Drago 100RF is deadly!
Virginie: In a tournament, I've realised that few people succeed with Attack types. I would therefore mostly suggest to use a Defense type or a Stamina type. A Beyblade like Earth Bull 100WD/SD, for instance, should mutliply your chances of winning the battle.

And later in the magazine, the link to our website is repeated as well.

This isn't much news, one could say, but I think it's awesome to see how far this site has gotten from another point of view. Come on, let's try to reach the stars now!
