Hey World Bladers,

The dreaded–for more reasons than one–Rev-Up Launchers are slowly becoming harder and harder to find, so we've decided to give one away this month! If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the September 2014 giveaway for a brand new Rev-Up Launcher (Black)!

Bladers who post in this thread and do not possess a Blader Passport will have their posts immediately deleted.

To make the deal even sweeter, we will also throw in one Face Booster for the winner!
This contest will run for seven days until September 30th, 11:59:59PM EST. Any Passport Holders who post after that date/time will not be entered. The winners will be announced shortly after the date has passed and will have their prize shipped to them free of charge!

Good luck everyone!
Hey World Bladers!

We've heard your pleas over the past few years and are excited to announce today that the WBO will be introducing a new Team Format! How will it work, you ask?

Introducing to WBO Organized Play:
TEAM FORMAT

Teams of 3
In this new experimental format variant, Bladers will begin by registering in teams of three.
  • When registering, teams must provide a team name that will be used to create a Team Account on the WBO.
  • Team Accounts may be used in the future for a potential separate Team Ranking in the BeyPoints System.
  • Team Accounts can only be created by attending a Team Format tournament and registering with your team. They will have a special "Team" user group applied to them to set them apart from regular users. Do not attempt to make Team Accounts outside of tournaments or you will be warned; the "Team" user group can only be applied by Committee Members anyways.

Team Captains
  • Each team must designate one member as the "Captain".
  • Captains have the right to remove members from their team in order to recruit new ones at any time, except during a tournament.
  • Captains can only lead one team, for life. So, think carefully before you decide to form your own team; in many ways you have more freedom as a regular team member. This is important to prevent the possibility of a team of three slowly removing/adding members and then one day ending up with three entirely different members. This way, three new members can't take over a highly ranked team as their own. There is always a link back to the 'soul' of the team if the Captain remains.
  • Should a Captain choose to dissolve a team, their ranking will be nullified entirely and the team will cease to exist. One exception that will be made is if a Captain chooses to retire from Beyblade. In this case, he or she can pass on the leadership to another member, but only if the team has 50+ Team BeyBattle wins at that point in time.

Which WBO Organized Play Formats can be used?
Depending on the amount of teams who register, the tournament will be hosted in either a Round Robin or Double Elimination format.
  • 3-4 Teams: Round Robin
  • 5-9 Teams: Double Elimination
  • 9+ Teams: Single Elimination

And the Team Format can be played using any regular WBO Organized Play Format: Standard, Zero-G, Limited, Plastics, or HMS.

"Team BeyBattles"
The Team Format introduces a new concept known as the "Team BeyBattle".
  • Each "Team BeyBattle" will consist of three regular best 3 out of 5 BeyBattles.
  • The team with the most round wins (which means a maximum of 9 "points" for a team if they won all three BeyBattles 3-0) will be the victor of that particular round. This means that two strong Bladers won't necessarily be able to carry one weak Blader on their team.
  • Each Blader will play one BeyBattle against one of the opposing three team members.

For example:

Team A: Kei, Blader DJ, The Boss
Team B: Kai-V, rooneyt, bugturtles

Kei vs. bugturtles - Kei Wins 3-2
Blader DJ vs. Kai-V - Blader DJ Wins 3-0
The Boss vs. rooneyt - rooneyt Wins 3-1

Final Score: 7-5 Team A

Before each BeyBattle begins, teams will have a brief period to decide who is playing that particular round. When both teams confirm they are ready, the judge will ask for both Bladers to step forward to the Beystadium. If at that point a player from one team does not advance in an effort to see who they will be playing against, an automatic BeyBattle loss will be issued to the offending team.

What happens in the case of a tie?
Here's another example:

Team A: Beholder, Uwik, Khel
Team B: SK, Alice, Bey Brad

Beholder vs. Bey Brad - Beholder Wins 3-2
Uwik vs. Alice - Uwik Wins 3-1
SK vs. Khel - SK Wins 3-0

Final Score: 6-6

In this case, one final BeyBattle will be played to determine the winner. However, the opposing teams will select the member that represents their opponent in the tiebreak. Each team will select a member, the Captains will notify the judge privately, and then the judge will announce the match up.

Team Size: Unlimited!
Teams must play in groups of three during Team Format tournaments, but this doesn't mean that teams are limited to three Bladers!
  • Teams are unlimited in size, but can have only one Captain.
  • Teams can be represented anywhere globally. For example: Team Kai-V can play in an event in the UK against Team Blitz, with members who have been approved by Team Captain Kai-V.
  • Teams, and individual Bladers may only participate in one Team Format event per month. This means that Team Kai-V cannot play in an event in both Montreal and the UK on the same week, for example.
  • If the Team Captain is not present to participate in a given tournament, a "provisional Captain" must be designated for that tournament to represent his/her team.
  • If new team members are representing a pre-existing team in a tournament, they must ask the Team Captain to PM the host to inform them that they have been approved to join their team and represent them.

"But I don't have a team!"
Don't worry! If you plan on attending a Team Format tournament but do not have a team, simply register yourself and we will find team member(s) for you from other players who have registered by themselves, or as groups of two.

Additionally, don't forget that we also have a Team Forum! You can try looking for team members there.

Team Format and the BeyPoint System
All individual BeyBattles played within the Team Format will be processed within the BeyPoint System as any BeyBattle in a normal tournament would be.

Team Format and Faces/Credits
Winning team members of Team Format tournaments will receive the brand new Triple Crown Face [Image: TripleCrown-Face.png]! All three team members who participated in a specific Team Format tournament will receive the Face.

Winning team members will also receive +2 Credits for winning the tournament, in addition to participation and majority win Credits.

Pilot Event
For now, Team Format is currently still in the experimental stage. As a result, particular details may change before it is officially introduced for use by hosts around the world. However, as a way of testing the format we have decided to use BEY OR DIE, our upcoming event at Unplugged Expo as the pilot event for the format!:

For getting the 2nd place in a tournament: +2
For getting the 3rd place in a tournament: +1
For winning the majority of your matches: +1
Organising a tournament: +1
Participating in a tournament: +1

That means that if, for example, you hosted a tournament and ended up coming first on top, then you'd get a total of 6 Credits!

But wait, we also have a surprise for some of you! Since the temporary wave 3.5 of the Blader Rewards ended rather soon at the beginning of July, which caused a void for the whole rest of the month until July 31st, and that it would have been more or less fair to be able to process some July tournaments before the cutoff date and others only afterwards that would have counted towards wave 4, we decided to award Credits earned during July only now!

Enjoy these new prizes, especially the few plastic Beyblades in there!

On top of that, we're also ready to unveil the long-awaited, long list of winners in several past BeyLottos!!

As always, post your choice of Face Booster in this thread, and we'll shoot the Faces your way once we've gotten a few at once!

A new video has been added to BeyChannel : the tournament video for A YEAR: The Month of Dreading that happened in September 2013 in Toronto!

We just wanted to also repeat that all buyers and sellers should be extremely wary of who they are dealing with on the World Beyblade Organization. If a seller claims to have a Beyblade and does not provide photographs with their username on a piece of paper in it, don't send them any money!

Recently, user STICK-G has been discovered to be a frauder, especially with his account Swag007. He has affected at least two Members here, who were fortunately able to win their causes on Paypal against him, but if even we banned him, just be cautious no matter who it is!

In conclusion, we hope you enjoyed these news, and be on the lookout for further positive announcements in the near future!
Is the hangover from BeyDays finished? Are you finally done with school and ready for some action?! Oh yeah, you got it right, it’s time to go back to the source of the joy : HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day!!

The dates to look out for this year areJuly 19th & 20th. Let’s blaze the world with the celebrations!

Tournaments of the HMS or Plastic format!

On this beautiful weekend, the most dedicated areas will be taking some time to remember the genesis of Beyblade in the world! Here's the current list of tournaments part of HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day:

July 18th 2014 (exceptionally)
July 19th 2014
July 20th 2014
Yeah, not many confirmed tournaments so far, but we’re almost a month away, so hold on and prepare your horses!

As can be done even during the rest of the year if there are no other prizes, the top three winners in these tournaments can choose one of the following exclusive Face Boosters:

If you’re part of the top 3 in one of the above events, tell the WBO Organizer what your choice of Face Booster among the list is so that the Committee can open it for you!

Additionally, these three Face Boosters are now available for all plastics and HMS tournaments throughout the year, even if there are prizes!!

Woah, wait! You can still win anyway at the WBO regardless of how well you do in tournaments! All entrants of an HMS or Plastic tournament held on the Remembrance Day will also receive 1 extra Credit just for playing in the event! In other words, you'll get 2 Credits just for participating, and that means you could get a free Face Booster or even better prizes in our Blader Rewards Campaign!

Exclusive BeyLotto

Plastics and HMS are awesome on their own and are enough reason to enter a tournament (or 2!) during these celebrations in July, but extra incentive certainly never hurt anyone! The WBO brings you the traditional exclusive, limited BeyLotto! The only requirement in order to be entered for a chance to win a prize is to play in a tournament on HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day! Phew, no weird ritual to do to be accepted; school’s over, remember?

The prizes this year will certainly make you drool!

1st Place: Cyber Dranzer (courtesy of Cannon), Dragoon F, Driger S, Wolborg 2, Seaborg, Draciel F, Draciel S!!

2nd Place: Salamalyon, Auto Change Balancer, Dragoon F, Cyber Dragoon, Gaia Dragoon, Driger F, Master Draciel!

3rd Place: Dranzer F, Dragoon F, Salamalyon, Master Driger, Seaborg 2, Gaia Dragoon!

4th Place: Draciel F, Seaborg 2, Driger F, Master Dranzer, Dragoon F!

5th Place: Seaborg 2, Trypio, Dranzer F, Wyborg, Galman!

On top of that, the 1st to 10th place winners will have their choice of

11th to 30th Place will have their choice of

Also, because some tournament organizers may not be able to secure prizes for their tournaments in time, the top two prizes from the BeyLotto will be limited to the Bladers who finish in the top three of their local tournament.

But what’s that? Yeah, too small for a normal WBO announcement? You’re right, let the other goodies roll on!

Blader Rewards

In light of the news that the uberawesome Wyvern DJ Gold Ver. has been claimed in the current Blader Rewards campaign but that at least two or three of you were putting a lot of effort into accumulating enough Credits to catch that prize before anybody else, it’s definitely time for some new prizes to be instated!

However, since we usually ensure that Members do not have so many Credits as to claim all the good prizes right at the beginning of the new wave, but that, at the same time, right now we don’t want to forget the original contenders for the Wyvern DJ Gold Ver., this wave will actually be smaller and really short so you guys can spend your Credits properly before we have to reduce them to 7 by the end of July 31st 2014. Here’s the list!

Blader Rewards - Wave 3.5
  • BB-96 Beyblade Super Deck Set - 50 Credits (1 in stock)
  • Dark Knight Dragooon LW160BSF Limited Golden Dragon Model - 40 Credits (1 in stock)
  • VariAres D:D Mars Red Ver. - 35 Credits (1 in stock)
  • Sol Blaze Gold Ver. - 28 Credits (1 in stock)
  • Bakushin Susanow 90WF - 28 Credits (1 in stock)
  • BBG-15 Metal Stone Face Ocean Blue Ver. - 15 Credits (1 in stock)
  • Launcher Grip (Black) - 15 Credits (1 in stock)
  • BB-81 Launcher Rubber - 12 Credits (2 in stock)

As usual, just contact a Committee Member, mainly Kei, if you’ve got enough Credits and want to claim one of the prizes before it’s too late!

Stay tuned for the next big wave, the 4th!!

New Avatars
Superb, we're unleashing five new avatars to use in your profile to celebrate HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day not only now, but during the whole year too!

You'll find them in the Avatar Gallery, when you go to your User CP and click on the left on "Change avatar". Enjoy!

GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2 ENCORE : Plastics
Hey guys, the official video of GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2 ENCORE : Plastics that happened on May 26th is now up! Check it out :

Organized Play Rule New Releases

(We already posted these in an announcement topic, but just for more visibility!)

Finally, some official new releases for those old Organized Play documents! We’re proud to announce the publishing of the Universal Rulebook Release 6 and the Event Guide Release 3, which should all make your lives easier!

Universal Rules Release 6
Event Guide Release 3

All WBO Organizers should make sure to print these new versions, and every Member needs to read both of these documents from the beginning to the end again to refresh their memories and make sure they’re aware of the major new rules, like the following :

  • Limited Format: It’s all known already, but all the details about the Limited Format are now included black on white in the Universal Rulebook.
  • Stalling Clause: The time for the Stalling Clause has been brought down from 4 to 3 minutes.
  • Attachment Tricks : It’s now illegal to try playing on words about whether your Beyblade is attached/ready/inserted/etc. No fake attachment is allowed either, and while i twas obvious, nobody can lie to a judge like by saying that they’re ready when they’re not.
  • Re-Shoot Clause: When invoking this clause, if you choose to switch your launcher, it must now be the exact same launcher type. You cannot switch from a Light Launcher 2 to a Rev Up Launcher anymore!
  • Winning Combinations : It was already announced last year, but posting the list of the top three winners’ winning customizations for a tournament in a timely fashion is now officially mandatory. The only exception, as always, is if a big event is coming up like a championship and that a qualifier winner will be traveling to the final tournament in that championship. However, even in that case, their previous winning combination will simply have to be posted right after the championship. If a host cannot do it for some reason, the lists can simply be sent to a Committtee Member who will then post them in the Winning Combinations topic.
  • Seaborg Tip Inverting : Legalized a year ago too, the possibility of inverting the rubber tip of Seaborg’s Defense Grip Base is officially in the books now!
  • Judge Impartiality : You’d think this was obvious, but some complaints and questionable behaviors have made us clearly write in the Organized Play Rules that, of course, no judge should even look as if they observed what a Blader was using and then go talk to the opponent who happens to be their friend or even their rival. You can’t give off that impression at all, so if that means you have to restrain yourself and remain seated at the stadium in silence until both Bladers are ready, then so be it!
  • Clear Numbers : The Event Guide is now a lot clearer! There are clear numbers for each format, as well as refined explanations where applicable. We’ve also added Swiss as an official format, but make sure you only use it if you fully understand its workings!

That’s about it, but just in case we forgot any detail, as we mentioned, make sure to download and read the new versions right now!

New Promotions!

The World Beyblade Organization is proud to welcome Naijalak on its Committee!

On top of that, we’d also like to announce that the following Members are now Advanced Members : Time, Stars, TheBlackDragon, geetster99, ლ(ಠ益ಠლ), Wombat, and Cake!

Congratulations everybody, you’ve definitely made your qualities shine through!

And now…

BeyDays 2014: 6th Edition!

  • Kai-V
  • May. 20, 2014  1:36 AM
Dear World Bladers,

Get up from your desktop, open your house door and embrace life: it's the time for celebrations!

On May 24th and May 25th, Bladers around the world stump their feet so remarkably that the dust has no time to settle: it's the sixth year of BEYDAYS!!

In the spirit of BeyDays, as you saw, we organised the second WBO North American Championship: GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2! Winners of qualifiers around North America will come together to battle and determine the best player of the continent!
However, the focus of BeyDays isn't just one tournament: it's all the events happening around the world at once, in just one weekend! Here's the list of dedicated communities this year:

May 24th
May 25th

That's quite a list, but we know we can do better than that, it's not too late! Where's Italy, and perhaps the United Kingdom ?

To help everyone out, we've got several cool features for you this year:
  • Regions who have never hosted a WBO tournament in the past will be able to hold a free event for BeyDays 2014 without the $5 entry fee!
  • We will also waive the entry fee for regions that have not hosted an approved tournament in the last five months!
  • If you can't quite get the eight required confirmed participants yet, we'll send invites to the Members who signed up on the BeyMap in your area to urge them to attend and have fun on BeyDays, before the Event Proposal is even approved!
  • We're increasing the limit of Credits that can be gained during one weekend from the regular 8 to 16! Battle all night if you must!

BeyDays, with all those exceptions, is the best opportunity to start up an active Beyblade scene in your region for the rest of the year!

So, do you want to host a BeyDays 2014 tournament in your area?
Click here for details! (Click to View)

Each participant of a BeyDays tournament will receive the brand new Face of Days V, simply for showing up and playing at an event! The design will be revealed... later!

Now, let the drums roll for...

... the BeyLotto!

This year again, every participant of a BeyDays tournament will be automatically entered in this BeyLotto. The more tournaments you enter, the more chances you have in the lottery which will be done completely at random.

Every winner will be able to choose one of the following Face Boosters for grabs in the BeyDays BeyLotto; don't miss this chance to decorate your profile with a nifty Face!

There'll be a total of... 35 winners! Places are limited this time, so do all you can to help your luck!

In addition to those Face Boosters, BeyDays calls for actual physical prizes, oh yes! And we're bringing back... ~ANYTHING YOU WANT~!! You want a new Girago to improve one of your combos? Boom! Your collection of recolours is missing a blue Orojya Revizer? Yatta! Your wish is our command!

For this special prize of CHOICE though, all we ask is that:
- The winners give a list of three wanted Beyblade products;
- The list should be in order of desire;
- The products should be reasonable- there's only been one recorded Diablo Nemesis Dragren Ver., yo!

What's that? Winners? Absolutely! There'll be four winners of ~ANYTHING YOU WANT~!! Here's the complete list of prizes for the BeyDays BeyLotto:

  • 1st to 4th Place - Your choice!

  • 5th & 6th Place - BBG-24 or BBG-25 Ultimate Synchrom DX Set!

  • Lucky 7th Place - BB-10 BeyStadium Attack Type!

  • 8th to 10th Place - BB-96 Beyblade Super Deck Set!

At least, that's what the list is so far...!

Purchasing or currently having a Blader Passport will ensure you a very special place in the results if you are picked! For example, the first three winners will be Passport Holders, as a way to thank you for your support towards the World Beyblade Organization!
Blader Passports can be purchased at the cost of $10 US either online via our Passport page, or at any official WBO tournament.

Submit tournament footage, gain extra BeyLotto entries!
On top of that, this year once again, if you film scenes at the BeyDays tournament you attend and put the footage together for the BeyChannel, you'll get an extra entry in the BeyLotto! Show us what your community's like and how intense the battles were!

If you have footage please send follow the guidelines outlined here and send it to Kei. If you do not have enough footage to put together for a 2-4 minute video as is described in that thread, send the raw footage to Kei through a file sharing website instead.

But wait- post a BeyDays tournament report, and also gain extra BeyLotto entries!

That's right: it could be on this topic, or in the thread dedicated specifically to the tournament you attended, but if you post a report of the event you played in, you'll automatically get an additional BeyLotto entry! It can be about the customizations you noticed were being used, what the ambiance was like, what you would improve or simply what you liked!

Spread the word out and support the WBO and BeyDays on Twitter and on Facebook!

#BEYBLADE #BEYDAYS

People may think Beyblade is "dead" right now, but that is what BeyDays was always about: not only does this site exist no matter the period, but we celebrate Beyblade in as many locations around the world as possible in any situation, all at once!

What're we doing?

A new topic will be opened as of today, called "What I did today for the WBO".

What's that for, you ask? While the level of activity isn't as overwhelming as it used to be during the peak of popularity Beyblade had one or two years ago, we find that it'd be important to keep track of each and every contribution to the World Beyblade Organization being made around the site. We all unconsciously contribute just by posting everyday, but concretely, was there something you did that made Beyblade and/or the World Beyblade Organization advance? Whether it's posted or in preparations, making sure all that help gets promoted in one single thread on the site will help everyone keep track of what each other person is doing to help. Sometimes, it's all work in the shadows that can't be posted for the moment, and perhaps a certain person is making annoying posts in your opinion, but hey, they have ten posts in the last few days in the "What I did today for the WBO" topic - maybe they're not that bad after all!

In that thread, you can SPAM it all you want with your contributions: it's probably the one place on this site where quantity means so much!

Visit the topic itself below for more details:

Limited Format, in Zero-G?!

That's right: the default was to make Limited Format in standard stadiums, but what would happen with a similar ban list in Zero-G Stadiums? Oooh~

On this special occasion, we'd like to launch a wave of testing for this combination of formats, in the hopes of observing whether a completely different ban list would be needed, or if Limited Format could actually be done in Zero-G Stadiums and Standard-Format Stadiums!

Maybe even Chrome Up Modes can be useful in this new environment?!

Get your cardboard, your swaying stadium, and see whether the current ban list seems fair or needs some touchups in these other dynamics! Post your test results in the following thread dedicated to this potential format!
http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-MFB-Limi...Discussion

Face Contest: Photography 4!

Hey, these are becoming tradition every BeyDays!

The photography Face Contests always create a special buzz, so we're bringing the 4th edition to the table!

As usual, all you have to do is grab your camera and capture a magical or beautiful moment which involves at least one Beyblade. It can be from any generation, and it doesn't have to be the highest quality ever like for Beywiki photos, as long as something truly special is being illustrated!

For more details, check out the topic where you can post your entries:
http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-BeyDays-...tography-4

The deadline for this Face Contest is June 14th 2014. Good luck everyone!

The $20 BeyStadium deal is still on: we've got 12 BeyStadiums remaining, and we really want to revive Europe, so if you're interested, don't hesitate to apply for one just because it's limited - maybe you'll deserve one of those stadiums!

Quote:WBO Limited Offer: $20 BeyStadiums Attack Type!!

The WBO brings you yet another awesome exclusivity! It might be too late for BeyDays, but it's certainly never too late to start up some Beyblade activity in your region.

You think you'd be able to gather enough participants already? You know the rules by heart? Everyone's set on a date and a venue, but all that's missing is a legal stadium? This is exactly what you waiting for!

The World Beyblade Organization has acquired a limited set of BeyStadiums Attack Type and will give them away for the really low price of $20 to potential tournament hosts in new parts of the world that are usually quiet when it comes to Beyblading! These stadiums, the fairest ever made for the Metal Fight Beyblade series, can also complementarily be used for testing!

There are just a few conditions that need to be fulfilled to be eligible for this deal:
  • The Member has to demonstrate clear, on-site efforts to concretise an event in their area, notably with eight or almost eight Bladers basically ready to play at any moment.
  • The region targetted by the Event Proposal has to be new to Beyblade tournaments or, depending on the demand, has to own too few legal stadiums for an event to reasonably run smoothly and quickly.
  • Of course, the cost for the stadium is $20, shipping included.

As it's been implied, we will deal with requests for those stadiums over in the Event Proposals sub-forum.

This deal is completely limited, due to production of Attack Type BeyStadiums having been stopped in Japan for some time now, so it's definitely your one and only chance! Grab this opportunity now while you can, and finally give your community what it's been thirsting for all this time!

We wish you an awesome BeyDays, no matter where you are! If there's one time to express your passion, it's on May 24th and May 25th. If we all come together, the future looks so bright, because we're building it!

The upgrade of our software is done!

Dear World Bladers,

We just wanted to notify you that we will most likely experience a short downtime of around an hour, perhaps two, on Thursday May 1st 2014 at 6 PM GMT/1PM ET, to allow for much needed software updates as well as plugin fixes.

Hopefully this will at least help us get rid of the SPAM bots!

Hey World Bladers,

Even in Limited Format Canc-I mean, Quetzalcoatl might not be as great as we once thought it was, but it's still super cool! Especially the silver version, which is what we will be giving away this month! If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the April 2014 giveaway for a brand new Quetzalcoatl 90WF (Silver Version)!

Bladers who post in this thread and do not possess a Blader Passport will have their posts immediately deleted.

To make the deal even sweeter, we will also throw in one Face Booster for the winner!
This contest will run for eight days until April 30th, 11:59:59PM EST. Any Passport Holders who post after that date/time will not be entered. The winners will be announced shortly after the date has passed and will have their prize shipped to them free of charge!

Good luck everyone!
Limited Format Ban List v1.1 Effective Now

Newly Unbanned
  • WHEEL: Jade

As was initially intended with the Limited Format, the ban list is dynamic, so this is by no means final. We will continue to monitor the status of the format and further updates will be made when it becomes obvious that certain parts are deserving of being banned/unbanned. This is something that is going to continually evolve as a result of community involvement; it can therefore only happen if you all continue to embrace the format as you have thus far. So, keep hosting Limited Format tournaments!

World Bladers!

Last year, we started a revolution … now it’s time for the Grand Battle to not begin ... but continue! Nearly a decade ago, WBO & Off The Chain Founder Bey Brad hosted a tournament titled “GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT” at ANIME NORTH 2005, and in honour of that we decided that it would be appropriate to name the tournament this year, GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT ...2! Why is it a "grand battle", you ask? Well, it's because the tournament will be our second North American Championship as a part of ANIME NORTH 2014 and BEYDAYS 2014!!

On Saturday, May 24th, 2014 during our annual global celebration of Beyblade, BEYDAYS, the best Bladers in North America will gather in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at ANIME NORTH 2014 in order to compete for the prestigious title of WBO North American Champion 2014!!!

So, do you think you have what it takes? GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2 will be open to the public, but if you don't live near Toronto, you can earn paid travel expenses to Toronto by winning a tournament in the WBO North American Championship Qualifier Series!

This list is likely not final, so please stay tuned for updates about more qualifiers in the coming days/weeks!

All tournaments will be played in the new Limited Format.

If you are not familiar with Limited Format, please take the time to read through this thread:
MFB: Limited :: Primer, Random Thoughts, and Q&A Thread!

And for the up to date ban list for Limited Format, please check this thread:
Limited Ban List Discussion

What do Qualifiers win?
Winners of these tournaments will receive the following:
  • Paid travel expenses, by plane or bus (whichever is cheapest), or car to ANIME NORTH 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2.
  • An ANIME NORTH 2014 Pass

Qualifiers will be responsible for finding/paying for accommodations in Toronto, but we will work closely with each of you to make sure that you find somewhere suitable. Additionally, the winner will be required to consult with the Committee before booking their flight/bus, and then after approval, provide a booking confirmation to the WBO Committee before they can provide reimbursement for the traveling costs. We can also reimburse gas costs, but in that case, reimbursement will only take place in person after we have received gas receipts.

Tournaments All Weekend!
In honour of the original GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT in 2005 where competitors used HMS Beyblades, we have decided that in addition to GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2: WBO North American Championship 2014 on Saturday, May 24th at ANIME NORTH 2014, it would be fitting to–for the first time ever at AN–also host not one, not two … not three … but four other tournaments on Friday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 25th! This will bring us to a total of five tournaments for the entire weekend, spanning all five WBO Organized Play Formats including not only HMS and Plastics, but also the Standard and Zero-G Formats! Here is the full schedule:

Click on the names above for the official threads for each tournament and let us know which ones you plan on attending!

Why should I participate in all of these tournaments?
Besides how much fun it's going to be to play in every existing WBO Organized Play Format over one weekend ... as an added incentive to encourage everyone to participate in as many of these tournaments as possible, there will be added benefits to participating in any (or all!) of the tournaments at AN!:
  • Increased Credit Limit to 16 (regularly only 8 Credits per week is permitted)
  • Each tournament grants you an extra entry into the BEYDAYS 2014 BeyLotto (prizes to be announced at a later date)
  • If you participate in at least one tournament on each day (Friday, May 23rd, Saturday, May 24th, and Sunday, May 25th) you will be eligible to receive a two Face Boosters of your choice (same selection as is listed in the section below)!

Mandatory $5 Entry Fee = More Qualifiers + Extra Credits + Free Face Booster!
To help subsidize the high cost of flying/busing the qualifiers to Toronto, a mandatory $5 entry fee will be imposed on all Qualifier Series tournaments, regardless of whether or not a participant has a Blader Passport (if you wish to purchase a Blader Passport, the total cost would be $15 at a Qualifier Series tournament), and there will be no prize reimbursement apart from the travel expenses for the winner. We hope that everyone can understand this! The more funds we have, the bigger this championship will be! However, to show our appreciation for your cooperation and support in helping to fund the championship, all participants in Qualifier Series tournaments will receive the following:

All Passport Holders who participate in a WBO North American Championship Qualifier Series tournament will gain an entry into this exclusive BeyLotto! What can you win, you ask? Well, here's the prize breakdown:

1st Place: WBO T-Shirt + WBO 4GB USB Key + Beyblade 4D Poster + BB-96 Beyblade Super Deck Set

2nd Place: WBO 4GB USB Key + Beyblade 4D Poster + BB-96 Beyblade Super Deck Set

3rd Place:: WBO 4GB USB Key + Beyblade 4D Poster

The WBO 4GB USB Keys and Beyblade 4D Posters are being donated by our very own WBO Authorized Dealer, dimsum2u! You can see what items he has for sale here.

Blader Rewards Update
Wondering where you can spend all of those extra Credits you'll be earning by participating in the Qualifiers and all five tournaments on the AN weekend? In addition to what is still available on the list right now, we have just added the following new items to the list:
  • BB-96 Beyblade Super Deck Set - 40 Credits (3 in stock)
  • Sol Blaze Gold Ver. - 22 Credits (2 in stock)
  • Bakushin Susanow 90WF - 22 Credits (3 in stock)
  • BB-58 Beylauncher Suspension - 9 Credits (2 in stock)
  • BBG-15 Metal Stone Face Ocean Blue - 9 Credits (4 in stock)

And ... the new Stone Face Boosters are also available!

Donations
For anybody who wishes to support us beyond participating in any of the qualifier tournaments, you are also welcome to make a donation!
As always, for every $10 donated, you'll receive a gift from us in the form of Face Booster WHITE, Face Booster WHITE II, or Face Booster BLACK II; it's your choice.

However, for those of you who are even more awesome and choose to donate more (before May 12th, 2014), we have some very special gifts available!:

Royal Face
1. For a limited time, donators of at least $30 will have the option of choosing the retired Royal Face instead. It has not been openly available for nearly five years!

Signed WBO T-Shirt
2. Donators of at least $60 will receive a WBO T-Shirt signed by all Committee Members–both current and former–who attend GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2, including WBO Founder, Bey Brad!

Signed BB-10
3. Donators of at least $100 will receive a BB-10 BeyStadium Attack Type signed by all Committee Members–both current and former–who attend GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2, including WBO Founder, Bey Brad!

All donations and entry fees will be used to help fund GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2, including, but not limited to, things such as: plane/bus tickets for qualifiers, prizes, trophies, and promotional materials (posters, flyers, etc).

Official Thread
If you think you can make it to the tournament, post in the official thread here! If you have any questions about the tournament specifically, please post them there.

Are you as excited about the championship as we are?! If so, be sure to tell your friends about it! And if you haven't already, follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook!

Like last year, this will without a doubt be one of the biggest, most exciting events in WBO history, so if you can make it, you will not want to miss it! For those of you around the world who won't be able to make it, you can be certain that there will be extensive coverage of the entire tournament here on the WBO, on our Twitter/Facebook pages, and on BeyChannel!

For everybody else around the world, it's a bit too early to announce anything regarding other BEYDAYS 2014 tournaments around the world, but please stay tuned for news in the future for tournaments near you! Smile

Hey World Bladers,

We know that many of you are still looking to improve your collection of Beyblades for use in the new Limited Format, so based on some of your suggestions from last month we thought ... what better way to do that than to giveaway the awesome BB-96 Beyblade Super Deck Set which contains Pegasis, Libra, Burn, and several other useful parts! If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the February 2014 giveaway for a brand new BB-96 Super Deck Set!

Bladers who post in this thread and do not possess a Blader Passport will have their posts immediately deleted.

To make the deal even sweeter, we will also throw in one Face Booster for the winner!
This contest will run for one week until March 1st, 11:59:59PM EST. Any Passport Holders who post after that date/time will not be entered. The winners will be announced shortly after the date has passed and will have their prize shipped to them free of charge!

Good luck everyone!
As we mentioned during our 5th WBO Anniversary, the World Beyblade Organization is about to hit quite a milestone:

We will soon reach 500 tournaments organized around the world!

On December 4th 2013, we were at 461 events already. But right now, almost two months later, we're already at...

487 events, which means there are only 13 tournaments left until the big Half-Thousand!!

The road to this huge achievement is paved with great prizes too! To honor those who help us get to this milestone, we announced the following campaign:
  • For every weekend where two or more regions host successful tournaments, a prize will be given randomly among the participants of those events!
  • For every weekend where two tournaments are held, two Stone Face Boosters will be given randomly among each tournament! And for three, three Stone Face Boosters, etc.!

Some brand new Face Boosters just for this, what a treat! Here's what you could get from them:

You'll have to wait for someone to obtain these insanely rare Faces first before they can be revealed to the world. Wink

Let's already announce the winners of the first few weekends!

Week from December 4th to December 8th 2013

There were two events, all in North Carolina, so the winners of a Stone Face Booster are...

...

Thunder Dome!

stormscorpio1!

ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)!

And Tigerofthewest!

Congratulations to you four! Make sure to post your Stone Face Booster selection in this topic.

Week from December 9th to December 15th 2013

Events were held in four different regions on that weekend, wow!

Since some tournaments had only the minimum of eight players though, it would not make much sense to give Stone Face Boosters to the majority of the participants, so we'll set a limit of four Stone Face Boosters per event. Here are the winners this week!

Hey World Bladers,

If you've Liked our Facebook Page you'll likely already know that we recently purchased some super cool recolours to use for ... something! Well, we've decided to use one of them for this months giveaway! If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the January 2014 giveaway for a brand new limited edition Saramanda Ifraid DF145BS Burst Flame Ver. or Orojya Reviser T125JB! The winner may choose to receive whichever one they like.

Bladers who post in this thread and do not possess a Blader Passport will have their posts immediately deleted.

To make the deal even sweeter, we will also throw in one Face Booster for the winner!
This contest will run for one week until February 1st, 11:59:59PM EST. Any Passport Holders who post after that date/time will not be entered. The winners will be announced shortly after the date has passed and will have their prize shipped to them free of charge!

Good luck everyone!
Hello World Bladers,

Since we introduced the Limited Format early last month on a trial basis free from BeyPoints processing there has been numerous tournament results, and much discussion in the community about what changes should be made in order to make the format as fair and balanced as is possible. Taking all of that into consideration we have decided to make the following changes to the ban list:

Limited Format Ban List v1.1 Effective January 20th

Newly Banned
  • WHEEL: Gravity
Newly Unbanned
  • WHEEL: Omega
  • BOTTOM: RB

As was initially intended with the Limited Format, the ban list is dynamic, so this is by no means final. We will continue to monitor the status of the format and further updates will be made when it becomes obvious that certain parts are deserving of being banned/unbanned. This is something that is going to continually evolve as a result of community involvement; it can therefore only happen if you all continue to embrace the format as you have thus far. So, keep hosting Limited Format tournaments!

Because we know that it may be inconvenient for players to learn of updates just prior to previously scheduled tournaments we will always make an effort to make sure we give everyone sufficient notice (hence the effective January 20th date for this update).

To discuss this update, possible future updates, and to see the discussion that led to the decisions that were made for this update, please use these two threads:

MFB Limited Ban List Discussion (Public)
Official Limited Ban List Discussion (Veterans)
and the MFB: Limited Discussion forum.

WBO 5th Anniversary Results!!

  • Kai-V
  • Jan. 11, 2014  2:18 AM
WBO Bladers, the time has already come for the results of the Scavenger Hunt from the WBO 5th Anniversary edition!

This time, we got a whole 121 participants! This is huge! OK, most of them are tournament attendees from December 4th to January 4th, but that isn't a bad thing at all! Woo!

First, let's start with the correct answers!
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "What time is it?" (We're looking for a numerical answer, Beyblade-related.) (1 Point) 5:02, 5:03, or alternatively 00:27 or 00:28 - We ended up accepting both since it's true that the hands on the Horogium Clear Wheel are positioned as if the small hand is in fact the one indicating the minutes.
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "Which Beyblade name did Sonokong dub in Metal Fight Beyblade?" (1 Point) Warriors Ifraid!
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: Adorning the brilliant tree were an assortment of parts and from all generations. Name them all! (2 Points) Basically all the parts you can see on this famous tree: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-HAVE-A-V...MAS--2592
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: "THE WINNER IS..." (1 Point) Cye Kinomiya, announced by Blader DJ at the very beginning of the Beywiki forums for the 100 Members giveaway of course!
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: How many countries have participated and been processed in the BeyPoint System? (1 Point) 12: USA, Canada, UK, Italy, Indonesia, India, Portugal, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, Philippines, Australia (Puerto Rico is theoretically part of the USA, but we counted both twelve and thirteen as good answers).
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org: "Which two Beyblades were at the head of the revolution?" (1 Point) MSF-H Girago Dragooon F230GCF and MSF-L Wyvang Dragooon SA165 (Attack Mode) GCF, the Beys used by stormscorpio1 and JesseObre respectively in the final battle of BEYBLADE REVOLUTION.

Secondly, as usual, let's start with the Members who unfortunately could not reach the few top positions to win a physical prize!

On November 20th, 2013, William Ma, of Beyblade Geeks (BBG William), passed away at the age of 20 years, after being involved in a collision north of Calgary days earlier on the Queen Elizabeth 2 Highway.

Beyblade Geeks have made a tremendous impact in the world of beyblade with their humor and enthusiasm via their YouTube Channel. We are grateful to have them as an affiliate, and as such, we also share their grief. The World Beyblade Organization offers sincere condolences to the friends and family William left behind.

A scholarship fund was established by William’s friends to continue his philanthropic legacy. We urge our members to help out whenever they can. To learn more about the fundraiser, visit William's Legacy

This thread will remain open arbitrarily if you guys want to pay your respect or have comments. Respectfully, however, we urge you all to remember him as how he lived, and not how he passed.

The second Face to find is [Image: shininggodface.png]! This site is large, where could this Face be?! If you find it first, post the answer here!

Unlike last year's Scavenger Hunt, not only do you only get one chance for each goal, but you won't be told whether you completed the goal yet, and we won't post a scoreboard! That way, the leaders will remain a mystery until the very end! Oooh!

We'll also be very vigilant about cheating, since it happened a lot last year unfortunately. More goals may be added along the way though, so keep checking this topic during the month!

The Game is in the Name

Hey, this would be a good occasion to...

Reintroduce the ability to change your username! Indeed, from now on, we caught up so much with the BeyPoint Queue that it's fine to allow everyone to change usernames as they wish once every 30 days.

Your best memories of the WBO!

If you can't make a video for the Scavenger Hunt describing what you like about the World Beyblade Organization, we'd still like to hear your thoughts about our history! We've come up with a list of trivial questions you can fill out in this topic, which might take you way down the memory trail and make you laugh, small warmly, or make you happy that times have changed at least!

  • The collaboration with a specialist or with a company you liked the most:

Of course, elaborate as much as possible, it'll be appreciated!

We're really curious to see what you think!

Face Contest: Design a new Beyblade series!

Aww yeah!! It's been years but we're bringing it back, especially with the advent of a new Beyblade system or series upon us in the future!

The goal is to innovate with Beyblades, just like what TAKARA-TOMY did between Plastics and HMS, and then between HMS onto Metal Fight Beyblade and all the systems the latter series included! It has to be as realistic as possible, in the same vein as what TAKARA-TOMY would really invent next, while still bringing Beyblade to a whole new level!

You can find out more about this Face Contest and post your own entry right here:

http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Face-Con...ade-series

Road to the Half-Thousand Events!

Hey, tournaments come and go all the time, leaving us with enjoyable experiences even if we face bitter defeats, but have you actually stopped to think how many the World Beyblade Organization has had since its existence as Beywiki?

Could you actually believe that we almost have 500 events in our history?! And we all have a part in this major milestones! Can you imagine all the time, sweat, money, and overall dedication we've all contributed to make this a reality? Guys, we all have to take a minute off to realise what an exploit this is, especially for a non-profit organisation like us.

We are officially at about 461 tournaments, which means we only have 39 events left before reaching 500!

We can definitely do it in the next year, but let's try achieving this goal in just a few months!

To help speed up the numbers, we've prepared a few activities to help along the way of this campaign!

Weekly Prizes

That's right: for every weekend on which two events are held in two different regions, a prize will be given away randomly among the participants of those tournaments! Since they're dependant on the number of weekends that fulfill this condition, they'll only be revealed once one can be given out! Don't worry though, they're swag!

But that's so not all: we're also introducing brand new Stone Face Boosters which will be available in advance! If there are two events per weekend, two Stone Face Boosters will be given for each tournament, not just one per tournament!

You'll have to wait for someone to obtain these insanely rare Faces first before they can be revealed to the world. Wink

Actually, guess what: if there are three events per weekend, we're ready to increase the numbers and give three Stone Face Boosters per tournament/region! Oh yesss!

The Stone Face Boosters will not be openly available until after the anniversary celebrations have concluded, so take advantage of the opportunity to get these awesome new Faces before anyone else!

Free entry from December 14th to December 22nd!

Yep, the entry fee will be waived during those two dates, in hopes of making extra Bladers come out of their house to participate in a tournament! You can still buy a Blader Passport if you wish, in prevision for the future events in the upcoming months, but otherwise you can just walk in during that period, register and play, simple as that!

Your Achievements, Now Featured!

Ever since our beginning, one of the cool features of the World Beyblade Organization has been its Face Collection, created by Bey Brad! All year long, each of you work your Bottom off trying to receive one of those prized rewards, and it's already a huge achievement to get it in your rows of Faces in your profile, next to your posts, but you'll now be featured!

Indeed, we've added a box on the side of the index, below the Upcoming Events box, to promote the latest special Faces Members of our community have succeeded in gaining! That means that all design Faces such as Pegasis, Quetzalcoatl, Beelzeb, etc. do not count as "special Faces", since they do not require quite as much work to get as the more extraordinary Faces.

We're really proud of people's effort, so it's great to highlight them to the whole community!

Monthly Giveaways

After an absence of over a year, Monthly Giveaways are back!! If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the December 2013 giveaway for a brand new copy BEYBLADE: Evolution or the Japanese version, MFB 4D X Zero-G Ultimate Tournament for Nintendo 3DS! The winner may choose whichever version they like!

Introducing: the Limited Format!

Things look bright for Beyblade's future, but for the moment, we're creating a new format to hype things up: the Limited Format!

The goal of this new format is to try to develop a new metagame, made of no overpowered parts! This means that, for instance, Synchrom and 4D will not be used in that format. This will open a world of opportunities to test old or overlooked parts to see how they fare against other parts that are more at their level!

Tournaments done using this format will not be processed in the Beypoint System since the circumstances are not really comparable to the usual Standard and Zero-G-format events, but Faces and Credits will still be awarded just like for the HMS and plastic Beyblade tournaments.

Here are already a few threads to help you get to know the Limited Format, notably with a list of banned parts. This list may be modified along the way, if parts are found to be too dominant even in that metagame, but it should be a good start.

http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-MFB-Limi...Discussion
http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-MFB-Limi...m-Thoughts

Let us know your thoughts about the Limited Format after trying it out in your region or after conducting some tests on your own! The format will officially be added to the Event Guide shortly.

This new format also leads us to a restructuration of the Beyblade Customizations forum! From now on, that forum will be divided in four different sub-forums:
  • MFB: Standard Customizations
  • MFB: Limited Customizations
  • MFB: Zero-G Customizations
  • Plastics & HMS Customizations

This way, it will be easier for everyone to differentiate conversations on all those different formats!

Official BEYBLADE REVOLUTION Video

And last, but not least ... the official video for BEYBLADE REVOLUTION: WBO North American Championship has finally arrived! Check it out!

Additionally, please stay tuned for bonus footage from the event that was not included in the video above!

Tweet away and be sure to share these celebrations on Facebook too! Don't forget to follow and like us as well!:

If you're a Passport Holder, please post once in this thread to be entered in the December 2013 giveaway for a brand new copy BEYBLADE: Evolution or the Japanese version, MFB 4D X Zero-G Ultimate Tournament for Nintendo 3DS! Good luck everyone!
World Bladers, a new universe will be introduced to us on October 29th!

To fully support the release of the new Metal Fight Beyblade video game entitled "BEYBLADE: Evolution" for the Nintendo 3DS console and created by Rising Star Games, the World Beyblade Organization was contacted to be the home of all discussions about this new game!

Starting today, a new forum is created which is dedicated entirely to BEYBLADE: Evolution, or "Metal Fight Beyblade 4D X Zero-G Ultimate Tournament" as it'll called in Japan after December 19th 2013. All posts about the video game belong there now, and with several hundreds of parts available for customization in the game, multiple mini challenges and various tough Bladers on our way to the championship in the Story Mode, there's going to be a lot to discuss!

Rising Star Games representatives will also be online once in a while to answer some of your questions, so grab them while they're here!

The game is supposed to hold true to the parts' performance in real-life in some respect, plus there's an augmented reality feature where you can spin your Bey on your desk, so post your screenshots once it's out next Tuesday and share your different strategies with the rest of the world!

Play safe!!

P.S. There's a contest going on in November for Likers of the BEYBLADE: Evolution Facebook Page, so check out this page to find out more details and enter to win one of the fun prizes!

WANTED: Video Editor for BeyChannel!

  • Kai-V
  • Jul. 11, 2013  2:13 AM
The World Beyblade Organization Committee is looking for a competent video editor to help liven up BeyChannel!

Tris has disappeared without a word, so we would like to find someone who can produce videos in the same style as what he had done already. You can see examples of videos he has worked on here :

If it interests you to be the WBO BeyChannel's next video creator star, send a private message to Kai-V with examples of what you can do. It'll help if we can see you reproduce some of the effects observed in the above videos too!
School's out and summer's begun, and with that final ring of the school bell, a now three-year-old tradition comes back: HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day!!

This year, it'll be on July 13th & 14th. Several celebrations are planned for these special days of the year where we pay tribute to the generations of Beyblades that started it all!

Tournaments of the HMS or Plastic format!
The world's most active Beyblade communities come together to focus all the events on one power-packed day! Here's the current list of tournaments part of HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day:

Just like during the rest of the year, the top three winners in these tournaments can choose one of the following exclusive Face Boosters:
If you reach the top three in a Plastic or HMS Format tournament, make sure to let your WBO Organizer what your selection of the above Face Boosters is!

However, even if you don't place within the top three, you can still 'win'! All entrants of an HMS or Plastic tournament held on the Remembrance Day will also receive 1 extra Credit just for playing in the event! This means that you'll get 2 Credits just for participating, and that nets you a free Face Booster or more in our Blader Rewards Campaign!

Exclusive BeyLotto
You weren't sure about attending a tournament on July 13th or 14th, your bed is luring you with its comfort, and you needed extra motivation to get up and out into the wild to face the challenges of The Ol' Ones? The WBO introduces yet another exclusive, limited BeyLotto! The only requirement in order to be entered for a chance to win a prize is to play in a tournament on HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day!

OK, that was easy, but will you be able to withstand the pure awesomeness of the following prizes up for grab?!

1st Place: custom Plastic Beyblade from dio (to be determined), Driger MS (Gold), Dranzer MS (Red), Master Dragoon (Red)

2nd Place: custom Plastic Beyblade from dio (to be determined), Driger MS (Silver), Wyborg (Black)

3rd Place: Driger MS (Blue), Draciel S (Clear)

4th Place: Dranzer G (Red), Gaia Dragoon MS

5th Place: Thunder Dragon

Here's a peek at the rare, tournament limited Driger MS'!:

Additionally, the 1st to 5th place winners will have their choice of
6th to 30th Place will have their choice of
Also, because some tournament organizers may not be able to secure prizes for their tournaments in time, the top two prizes from the BeyLotto will be limited to the Bladers who finish in the top three of their local tournament.

Face Contest: Design a Plastic Beyblade!
Wh-what? The results for the previous Face Contest: Beyblade Photography are barely out and you're rolling us with another Face Contest?!

That's right, one can't wait for the other! This time, the subject is related to the series that started it all: we want you to design a brand new Plastic generation Beyblade! Will you design a new member of the GT Series? A Beyblade seen in the anime that wasn't released? Or maybe something completely new?

To find out all the details of this Face Contest, make sure to check out the following topic!: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Face-Con...c-Beyblade

New Face Booster for donations
It's been a while since we've had changes in that area, so we're introducing a brand new Face Booster as thanks for donations: Face Booster WHITE II [Image: bfq.png]! Since we really like all your generosity, we'll reveal the Faces included in this Face Booster:

Oh, three Phantom Fox Faces?! Mysterious! Exciting! That makes it the largest Face Booster ever!

When you make a donation of at least $10, you can now choose between Face Booster BLACK II, WHITE, and WHITE II! Donations can be made via Paypal online, or directly at tournaments simply by giving an extra amount to the host, who will then transfer the total amount to us.

You saw what we were able to achieve with BEYBLADE REVOLUTION: the WBO North American Championship this year? Imagine if everyone just gave five dollars, we could bring the Beyblading experience to a whole other level!

New Avatars
Like before, we're now offering you five new avatars to use in your profile to celebrate HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day!

You'll find them in the Avatar Gallery, when you go to your User CP and click on the left on "Change avatar". Enjoy!

Organized Play Rule Additions
We also have a few important rule additions for Organized Play:
  • Credits: You now may only earn up to 8 Credits per week. For example, if you win one tournament (earning 5 Credits), and then place 2nd in another immediately afterwards, on the next day of that weekend, or any other day during that same week between Monday - Sunday (earning 4 Credits), instead of earning 9 Credits, you will earn 8 instead. However, Extra Credits, such as the +1 offered for participating in HMS & Plastics Remembrance Day does not factor in to this count.
  • Winning Combinations: Bladers who place within the top three at any given tournament are now required to submit a list of the combinations they won with, and it is the responsibility of the host to submit it to the Committee along with the results/fees/etc. Preferably, we would ask that the host posts the list in the Winning Combinations thread and submit the list to us that way, but if a host cannot do that for some reason, submit it via PM and someone from the Committee will post it instead.

Exceptions regarding the posting of combos will only be made for Bladers who plan on attending large-scale, international WBO tournaments similar to BEYBLADE REVOLUTION in the near future. Situations like this will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. However, regardless of the situation, a list must be submitted to the Committee.

New Global Moderators: Ingulit and Cannon!

The time has come to add new members to our team, and two Bladers have shone their way to our reflections: Cannon and Ingulit! Welcome them all and welcome them well, they have been super great Members of the World Beyblade Organization!

And- ... Ouch! Watch ou-

Oh hey!

Looks like our very special guest has arrived finally! It's time for us to pass the mike to...

BLADER DJ~!!
Dear World Bladers,

The tradition is back!

On May 25th and May 26th, the world will vibrate with the sound of our Beyheartbeats for the fifth year of BEYDAYS!!

For this special occasion, we of course organised BEYBLADE REVOLUTION: WBO North American Championship for all the Bladers in North America, and we prepared a few exciting activities for you as well. However, what's more crucial and at the very heart of BeyDays is the explosion of tournaments all around the world! Here's what's already planned, and there could be more to come - it all depends on you!

May 25th
May 26th
May 18th
Come on guys, there are way more active Beyblade communities in the world than that! Get your Event Proposals in before it's too late!

To help everyone out, we've got several cool features for you this year:
  • Regions who have never hosted a WBO tournament in the past will be able to hold a free event for BeyDays 2013 without the $5 entry fee!

BeyDays, with all those exceptions, is the best opportunity to start up an active Beyblade scene in your region for the rest of the year!

So, do you want to host a BeyDays 2013 tournament in your area?
Click here for details! (Click to View)

2013 is no different than the past years, so each participant of a BeyDays tournament will receive the brand new Face of Days IV, simply for showing up and playing at an event!

...

What's this that Blader DJ is whispering in my ear?

...

Oh, yes! Let the usual BeyLotto roll!

This year again, every participant of a BeyDays tournament will be automatically entered in this BeyLotto. The more tournaments you enter, the more chances you have in the lottery which will be done completely at random.

Due to the restraints of holding a budget to pay for the travel expenses of the champions in North America though, we're only going to reveal the prizes available in the BeyLotto in the next few days, but you can totally bet, based on the previous editions of BeyDays, that they'll be super hot!! There could even be WBO exclusivities, woo!

For certain, we can unveil that the following Face Boosters will be up for grabs in the BeyDays BeyLotto, so this is your ultimate chance to get a sweet Face under your avatar!

Purchasing or currently having a Blader Passport will ensure you a very special place in the results if you are picked! For example, the first three winners will be Passport Holders, as thanks for your support towards the World Beyblade Organization!
Blader Passports can be purchased at the cost of $10 US either online via our Passport page, or at any official WBO tournament.

Submit tournament footage, gain extra BeyLotto entries!
On top of that, this year, if you film scenes at the BeyDays tournament you attend and put the footage together for the BeyChannel, you'll get an extra entry in the BeyLotto! Show us what your community's like and how intense the battles were!

If you have footage please send follow the guidelines outlined here and send it to Kei. If you do not have enough footage to put together for a 2-4 minute video as is described in that thread, send the raw footage to Kei through a file sharing website instead.

Spread the word out and support the WBO and BeyDays on Twitter and on Facebook!

#BEYBLADE #BEYDAYS

So Melbourne, Sydney, Arizona, Italy, Texas, Philippines, Vancouver, and whoever else can gather enough Bladers in their area: come and join us in this grand Beyblade celebration!

Face Contest: Photography 3!

For those of you who really can't attend one of the tournaments, we're still going to keep you up in hype with a new Face Contest! The last one was very popular, and we know you love it, so we're bringing a third photography contest!

It's simple: capture a great moment involving one or more Beyblades, upload it on an image-hosting website, and enter it into the Face Contest! It's time to show off your cool recolour, or a beautiful mix of a landscape with a Beyblade.

For more details, check out the topic where you can post your entries:
http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-BeyDays-...tography-3

The deadline for this Face Contest is June 2nd 2013. Good luck everyone!

WBO Limited Offer: 20$ BeyStadiums Attack Type!!

Have a great BeyDays everyone!! Spread your passion, make it come to life in tournaments, and otherwise have fun during this special celebration!
World Bladers! The revolution begins! The WBO is proud, and incredibly excited to announce our first ever North American Championship: BEYBLADE REVOLUTION as a part of BEYDAYS 2013!

On Saturday, May 25th, 2013 during our annual global celebration of Beyblade, BEYDAYS, the best Bladers in North America will gather in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at ANIME NORTH 2013 in order to compete for the prestigious title of WBO North American Champion!!!

So, do you think you have what it takes? BEYBLADE REVOLUTION will be open to the public, but if you don't live near Toronto, you can earn paid travel expenses to Toronto by winning a tournament in the WBO North American Championship Qualifier Series!

All tournaments are ZERO-G Format.

Ruling Clarification:

This list is likely not final, so please stay tuned for updates about more qualifiers in the coming days/weeks!

What do Qualifiers win?
Winners of these tournaments will receive the following:
  • Paid travel expenses, by plane or bus (whichever is cheapest) to ANIME NORTH 2013 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for BEYBLADE REVOLUTION.
  • An ANIME NORTH 2013 Pass

Qualifiers will be responsible for finding/paying for accommodations in Toronto, but we will work closely with each of you to make sure that you find somewhere suitable. Additionally, the winner will be required to consult with the Committee before booking their flight/bus, and then after approval, provide a booking confirmation to the WBO Committee before they can provide reimbursement for the traveling costs.

Mandatory $5 Entry Fee = More Qualifiers + Extra Credits + Free Face Booster!
To help subsidize the high cost of flying/busing the qualifiers to Toronto, a mandatory $5 entry fee will be imposed on all Qualifier Series tournaments, regardless of whether or not a participant has a Blader Passport, and there will be no prize reimbursement apart from the travel expenses for the winner.
