WBO t-shirts are finally available! People have been asking for these for a while now, but we wanted to make sure that when we finally did it, we did it right. And here's the details:
  • the brand-new WBO logo printed via direct-to-garment technology
  • comes in men's, women's, and youth sizes
  • in three awesome colours: white, black, and dark gray
  • printed on 100% ringspun cotton, Alternative Apparel t-shirts (Gildan for youth sizes)

These aren't lame giveaway-quality t-shirts. These are the real deal. I feel good about wearing mine. Smile

Each shirt costs $25 USD. All proceeds from these sales go straight back into the World Beyblade Organization, and we use that money to keep the site up, give away awesome prizes through Blader Rewards, host special contests like the Scavenger Hunt, and build new features for the site.

As thanks for your support, you'll receive the Shirt Face for your first purchase!

Awww.

A big thank you to anyone who decides to pick one of these up. Feel free to post your feedback and your coolest Blader style in this thread. Smile

Happy anniversary, World Bladers!

Thanks for being here, on the 7th anniversary of the World Beyblade Organization. Whether you just joined the site today or you’ve been here the whole seven years we’ve been around, we’re really grateful that you’re a part of the community. We’ve got a few really cool things to talk about, but let’s start with the one thing you’ve probably already noticed:

Designed by former Committee member theflightyellz and refined by Kei, the brand new WBO logo replaces the original one designed by myself seven years ago. This is something we’ve wanted to do for a while, and this seemed like the perfect time to do it – not only is it our anniversary, but it sets the stage for all of the other projects we’re working on for 2016 and beyond … like a real site redesign. Smile

Having a new logo also enables us to do something we’ve wanted to do for a long time …

Many of you have been asking us to make WBO t-shirts available to everyone for a long time, and now we have! And these are seriously nice shirts: we’re using 100% ringspun cotton tees from Alternative Apparel and printing on them using direct-to-garment technology.

I wanted to be proud of whatever shirt we finally produced for everybody. And I'm very happy to say these deliver.

WBO t-shirts are available in both men’s and women’s sizes and come in white, black, and dark gray for $25 USD each. You’ll also receive the T-Shirt Face with your first purchase!

HD remake coming 2016.

As always, all proceeds from these sales will go towards funding WBO activities – and with all of the huge stuff we’re working on, your support is greatly appreciated.

(Event organizers: If you're interested in doing a group order on behalf of your community, you can save a ton on shipping by ordering everyone's at once. Let me know if you need help!)

face booster αlpha disappears January 1st

Speaking of support: don’t forget that our limited time donation present, face booster αlpha, is availably only until January 1st, 2016! Don’t miss your chance to get these awesome Faces commemorating the release of Beyblade Burst, and help us build the future of the Beyblade community in the process.

And thanks again to Stars for the generous donation!

The Future

As we enter the eighth year of the World Beyblade Organization’s existence, the future looks somehow more promising than ever. Certainly, the fact that there is finally another active Beyblade series helps, as does the promise of its nearly-inevitable international release.

But what’s most encouraging is the immense strength of this community after seven years of ups-and-downs. We’re in a better position than we’ve ever been to do some amazing things, so be sure to stick around. Wink
There's no breaking traditions: the Scavenger Hunt 2015 is on!

To those who are new to the concept, all you need to do is to achieve one of the goals or find one of the answers in the list below to gain points. Those points rank you up against other Members, and the top scorers will win physical prizes. But no worries: almost everyone ends up with Face Boosters as well!

Once you think you've found a correct answer or if you've done one of the achievements, simply send a private message to Kai-V with the proof of it. To start off, while we gauge how busy this year's Scavenger Hunt will keep us, we will not straight away let you know if the answer to a question is good. Therefore, be sure to take your time and research your answer to verify that it's correct before sending it, but you can't share answers with others!

A scoreboard will be posted at least once midway into the Scavenger Hunt period, to let you know if you need to work more to get higher. You have until January 4th 2016 11:59:59 PM EST to send your proofs of your achievements and your answers. That means that anything sent afterwards, even if it was technically achieved before January 4th, will unfortunately not count.

Without further ado, here's what you can get out of this Scavenger Hunt!

Prizes

Here are all the prizes you can win if you reach the top of the scoreboard!

  • 1st-2nd Places: B-21 OR B-22 Beyblade Custom Set + Face Booster VIVID

  • 3rd-4th Place: B-23 Starter Xcalibur Force Xtreme + Face Booster VIVID

  • 5th Place: WBO T-Shirt (color of your choice) + Face Booster VIVID

  • 8th Place: B-30 Starter Spriggan Spread Fusion + Face Booster VIVID

  • 9th-10th Places: 3D-printed Plastic Attack Rings by Naijalak + Face Booster VIVID

As you can see, the exclusive Face Booster VIVID [Image: faceboostervivid.png] is back on this special occasion, and you can get one if you can gather at least 8 points in this Scavenger Hunt!

Additionally, once you've gathered 3 points at least, you will automatically receive the marvelous Anniversary Face 2015!! [Image: anniversaryface2015.png]

Even if you can't reach the top 10, don't worry, you can also exchange your points for Face Boosters! Here's what's needed:

These Face Boosters will cost 6 points each.
The brand new Face Booster DRIVER will also be available for 6 Credits!

And these, 5 points each:
And even those who reach the top 10 and win physical prizes can exchange their points for Face Boosters!

Blader Rewards 5th Wave

  • Kai-V
  • Dec. 04, 2015  10:13 PM
On time for the WBO Anniversary 2015, we're presenting the 5th wave of Blader Rewards, as well as a new campaign!

These Blader Reward prizes can be obtained by accumulating Credits. Everytime you play in one of the World Beyblade Organization's approved tournaments, you get Credits based on how well you performed and if you placed. You get them as follows:

For getting the 1st place in a tournament: +3
For getting the 2nd place in a tournament: +2
For getting the 3rd place in a tournament: +1
For winning the majority of your matches: +1
Organising a tournament: +1
Participating in a tournament: +1

However, if the event is small and has only seven participants, the Credits that you can gain are reduced:

For getting the 1st place in a tournament: +2
Organising a tournament: +1
Participating in a tournament: +1

Credits are added manually by staff members whenever the tournament you participated in gets processed, so just hang tight if you don't see them in your profile yet!

Beywiki merges with Beyblade Wiki!

  • Kai-V
  • Oct. 03, 2015  8:00 PM
We at the WBO are proud to announce the next step in our mission of spreading awareness of Beyblade and giving Bladers the information they need to reach their maximum potential: Beyblade Wiki is now the official wiki platform of the WBO, and we will be merging all Beywiki articles and assets into it.

Why are we doing this?

We believe it’s a great move for us as an organization, and will prove enormously beneficial to the Beyblade community at large. Beyblade Wiki’s increased reach will ensure that the amazing research conducted here at the WBO will reach a much larger community of Bladers.

And with our host migration having left our own Beywiki in a pretty poor state, there’s never been a better time to move on to greener pastures.

This isn’t just the perfect time for us, either; Beyblade Wiki has been recently undergoing major positive changes at the hands of ~Mana~, who was thrilled at the opportunity to work together on creating the best Beyblade encyclopedia possible. None of this would be happening without his generosity and co-operation, so please show him your full appreciation!

Join the Wiki Team

From simple fixes to all-new pages, we have an unsurprisingly long list of work to do — but we’re optimistic we can get it done in record time, thanks to some updating editing procedures and more flexible approval processes.

But we’re still going to need a ton of help, so we’re building a dedicated Wiki Team to help us not only move our existing content to Beyblade Wiki, but also regularly write, review, and approve article drafts before they go live.

Help us build the best Beyblade encyclopedia we can. Send me a private message if you’re interested in joining the Wiki Team!

What's changing
  • In case it wasn't clear, it's really Beywiki merging into the Beyblade Wiki, so it'll be hosted entirely over at Wikia.

  • Anybody can write and publish articles, as per Wikia's values. This means that it is no longer strictly necessary to post drafts in the Beyblade Wiki forum before publishing them to the Wiki.

However, frequent contributors are still expected to discuss their findings in that forum before publishing their articles. Additionally, as we will be aggressively editing and moderating edits for new releases and popular articles, you might end up wasting a ton of time if you try to do it alone.

  • Articles that are still being heavily researched by the community — like upcoming or new releases — will come with a note saying that all findings are provisional.

  • Once an article on the Wiki feels what we reach is a "complete" state, we will lock it to prevent abuse. We will unlock articles if new information comes to light.

While this list focuses on hobby-related articles, we’ll still be developing the anime and manga-related sections of Beyblade Wiki, so feel free to contribute there too!

A new approach: part-specific articles

Since the beginning, we’ve been writing articles strictly on a Beybade-by-Beyblade basis. While this did reduce the number of drafts that had to be reviewed, it created some issues:
  • To write a single article took a large investment of time;
  • Too many articles piled up in the review queue;
  • The release of new parts could prevent entire articles from being published;
  • Over time, two different Beyblade articles with a shared part could end up having completely different descriptions for those parts.

We've been looking for ways to fix all of those issues for a while, and cornerstone contributor Nocto has presented us with the perfect method to use: part-specific articles!

Instead of writing articles about entire Beyblades, we’re changing our approach to reflect the way the game is actually played and researched: part-by-part.

Maybe you’re not comfortable writing an entire article about Death Quetzalcoatl 125RDF. But maybe you can explain how Death works, and in what types of customizations it’s useful.

Parts will be stored as their own articles, and larger Beyblade articles will automatically pull in the content for each part from those articles. This way, not only does each part and each Beyblade gets its own article, but if information on a part changes, it can be updated across every Beyblade article at once.

Anybody can help!

Sure, if you think about it, this merge might seem really complex and perhaps even 'impossible', but it's far from that! In fact, we've started making a list of articles Beywiki has and separating them into different categories to make it easier to know what to do with them. So, let's start with establishing that first, and then just doing the work, instead of scrambling everywhere.

Here's all the B articles to give you an example:

Categorized B- list (Click to View)

All Italian, Turkish and French versions should be transfered as-is on the Beyblade Wikia!

That's only the list of articles starting with B that we had on Beywiki. So, do you still think it's a mountain of work? Surely not! We will post the other letter lists soon, but you can also help by just choosing a letter and comparing the versions of common articles and post the lists you make in the Beywiki Project forum!

And of course, we'll also need help to actually make the changes after the articles have been categorized!

To help with filtering articles from both sites and categorizing them properly, please post here:
http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Beyblade...transition

If you can help us move the articles, whether by simply copying and pasting them or merging Beyblade Wiki's and Beywiki's versions together, here are the two topics to know where to start and what to do:
http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Beyblade...blade-Wiki
http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Beyblade...d-together

All significant contributors will be rewarded with the Peridot Face [Image: peridotface.png]! That's how you know someone's really gone out of their way to help the community!

Infinite thanks in advance to all people who will help in one way or another! This is a huge opportunity in so many ways, and it's time to take Beywiki to another level, all together!

If you've got any questions, don't hesitate to post them right here, we'll be happy to answer!

Without further ado, we'll pass the mic to the guy without whom this would all be impossible: ~Mana~!!
face booster αlpha is no longer available. A big thank you to everyone who donated!

If you want to support the WBO, check out our t-shirts!

Hey World Bladers!

We're super excited to introduce face booster αlpha, a beautiful Face Booster series designed by Kei and Kai-V in a style that brings the best of Burst to the WBO's Face Collection.

The WBO's continued existence can be owed to the fact that the Beyblade community is an exceptionally generous one. Donations from Bladers who love what we do have been fundamental to reaching milestones like the BeyPoint System, Blader Rewards, and BeyDays — not to mention day-to-day workings of hosting and managing the site.

The launch of Beyblade Burst does more than just give us the chance to grow the community again and continue running events; it gives us the chance to do more incredible stuff for all of you.

To create a better online community. To give everyone the resources to become a better player. To give you the best events — or to help you run the best events.

But at the moment when we most need to move quickly and excellently, we're ailed by extremely limited funds and an aging platform that is in dire need of some developer love-and-care.

So, straight-up: we need more money than we have to deliver all the great stuff we're working on. We'd like to ask you to help us if you can.

In return ...

As thanks for your donation, you'll receive the latest-and-obviously-greatest in the lineage of donation Faces, face booster αlpha. Beyblade Burst's style was much more difficult to adapt to the Face Collection than any Beyblade series before, but Kai-V did an excellent job with the line-art, and Kei masterfully compressed the complex designs down to a beautiful (and high-DPI!) series of wearable art ... for your profile.

Limited Format Ban List v1.4 Effective September 10th

Newly Banned
  • WHEEL: Libra
  • WHEEL: Omega

Libra has, and always will be a threat to the metagame due to its ability to perform well not only as one of the–if not the–best Defense Wheels, but as a Stamina Wheel with a slight offensive upside. As a legal part up until v1.4 of the Limited Format banlist, it has proven itself through competition to be too strong to allow its continued use. While it was legal, it appeared in close to 20% of all Winning Combinations. Its versatility is why it has been placed on the banlist.

Omega was given a chance after the initial Limited Format ban list, but after having some time to take a look at it in practice, it has been decided that its weight and raw Attack power is slightly too high when compared to the rest of the metagame. Its re-banning with v1.4 along with Libra will hopefully allow for more Wheels to be viable for Attack.

To discuss this update, possible future updates, and to see the discussion that led to the decisions that were made for this update, please use these three threads:

MFB Limited Ban List Discussion (Public)
and the MFB: Limited Discussion forum.

Blader Passport Price Increase
Additionally, in case you missed the announcement yesterday, we have increased the price of the Blader Passport to $15 USD. See the full details here.

Blader Passport Price Increase

Hey World Bladers,

We're raising the price of the Blader Passport to $15 USD.

The original $10 price was established over six years ago. To put things into perspective, back then you could have ranked battles at home without the supervision of an event judge, which was abused about as much as you might expect.

Since then, the WBO has grown exponentially and so have the local communities we’ve helped foster. We all see a very promising future in sight for the WBO and Beyblade — particularly considering the launch of Beyblade Burst — and this small increase will help prevent us from losing more money than we can bear to on our events.

Those of you who have active Blader Passports you purchased at $10 will of course be allowed to use them until they expire. If you have an auto-renewing subscription with us through PayPal, you’ll be receiving an email alerting you of the price change.

If you don't have a Blader Passport, you can subscribe to one here, or at any WBO event.

Finally, we’ll continue to sell Blader Passports for $10 at our Beyblade Bursts Onto the Scene events, because these events carry a higher entry fee and we really want to keep the barrier to entry for new community members reasonably low.

Thanks for helping us build a better WBO!
Hey World Bladers!

August has already been a pretty busy month for us, but we thought we’d try to cram a few more announcements in before September arrives. :')

Let’s jump straight into it!

The WBO team keeps growing!

I’m happy to announce that @[LMAO] is now a member of the WBO Committee. LMAO has already proven himself to be a prolific community organizer, and his commitment to the WBO is self-evident. He’ll be helping us develop our future plans, with a focus on making WBO Organized Play a better experience for all World Bladers. This is particularly important as Beyblade Burst continues to bring more players — both newbies and veterans — into the WBO community.

And to help us find those new players, @[Mitsu] will be taking over our social media accounts going forward, in addition to becoming a Global Moderator here on the website. His charisma, eloquence and extreme level of community dedication made him the clear pick for this role, and I look forward to seeing how awesome we’ll look on Facebook, Twitter, and new social platforms going forward.

For those of you thinking that the Committee seems awfully Toronto and Canada-centric: we agree. Please look forward to future announcements. Smile

Universal Rules update — now with Beyblade Burst

While @[Kei] announced updated rules for Beyblade Burst a few weeks ago, we’ve gone ahead and added them to the Universal Rules booklet!

Burst Format will get its own dedicated rulebook soon. In the meantime, please use the Universal Rules booklet at Burst Format events.

Design an HMS Beyblade Face Contest Winners

A big thank you to everyone who submitted their HMS designs for this month’s Face Contest! HMS has a soft spot in the hearts of everyone who played Beyblade during the first generation, so it was amazing to see how many people who picked up playing during Metal Fight were able to capture the spirit of the system.

When it was all said and done, there were two entries we loved above all else:

@[J.I.N.B.E.E!]’s Recozer MS (Metal Scythe)

@[~Stoney~]’s Night Emperor MS (Metal Shuriken)

Big congrats to you two! This’ll be the first Face Booster either of you receives, so choose wisely and let us know with a reply to this post:

Rethinking what Advanced means

When I initially created the Advanced Forum on Off the Chain — an idea that was inevitably carried forward to the WBO — it was due to the fact that the community was so overrun by newbies that high-level players were struggling to have any kind of meaningful conversation with each other.

The world of Beyblade has changed a lot since then. The average level of player knowledge is much higher, and the community is currently at a point where things are a bit quiet. We look at Beyblade General and the Customizations section and see the best-quality content that the Beyblade world has ever seen.

But we still think there’s value in recognizing Bladers who contribute significantly to competitive research and wield an immense amount of Beyblade knowledge. So moving forward, there will be no Advanced Bladers. There will only be Mentors.

We hope this makes it clear what our expectations from Mentors in the community are: to be a force for education within the community, and to assist new players in mastering everything from the basics of type-countering to the most advanced shooting techniques and gameplay concepts.

We’ve also renamed the Advanced Forum to Mentor’s Circle. We believe keeping this forum is important, because it allows us as an organization to do metagame research that a completely open forum would disrupt. That said, we also think there’s a ton of great content in there that maybe isn’t being seen by everyone — check it out if you haven’t, but we’ll look into finding ways of shining a light on the great learnings in the Mentor’s Circle.

Some of you will be receiving Mentor invitations soon — and yes, you’ll still get your Amethyst Face. Smile

See you at ZANKYE 100K

ZANKYE 100K looks like it's going to be one of our most epic events ever, and it's all thanks to the generosity of @[originalzankye], who's bringing a ton of Bey and, at least as importantly, pizza!

With Zankye set to reach 100,000 subscribers on Youtube, along with the revival of Beyblade and all the awesome stuff happening at the WBO, I think we all have a lot to celebrate about. I'll be there, as will Kei, LMAO, and Mitsu, and the world-class Toronto Beyblade community! Make sure you are, too!

That’s it for August! What a crazy month. Hope you all appreciated the update, and feel free to let us know what you think — and any ideas or suggestions you might have relating to these announcements — in the comments!

P.S. You might have noticed some downtime earlier. Sorry about that — just some routine web maintenance! We'll go down again for a bit later tonight, but know that everything's going to be fine. We'll get through this, together.
Hey World Bladers,

In just four short years, Zankye has become one of Youtube's most popular channels for Beyblade. His dedication to producing new content, travelling across the globe to meet fellow Bladers, giving away hundreds of Beyblades to his fans, and affiliating with the WBO has helped to earn him a loyal following that will soon be reaching over 100,000 subscribers around the world!

In celebration of this, Zankye has decided to partner with the WBO to sponsor not only a giveaway open exclusively to subscribers of his channel and members/Passport Holders of the WBO, but an exciting Burst Format event!:

How exciting is this, everyone?! An incredible event, giveaway, and milestone for Zankye! Let's celebrate!

Hey World Bladers!

(That feels really, really good to write again.)

Rather than writing a big dramatic post like I considered doing, let’s keep it short and sweet: I’m thrilled to announce that I am returning to the WBO Committee.

Beyblade and the World Beyblade Organization have been on my mind for a while now, and I promised to myself that once Beyblade came back I’d give the new series a try. And despite my initial, cynical reaction — in which I referred to the new burst gimmick as “the death knell for Beyblade” — I’ve grown to really love it already and am excited to see where it leads.

But more importantly than that, I’m excited to see how this community can evolve with the engine of an active Beyblade series driving it. I’m excited to see how we can do more for you guys and both help you and help ourselves run better events.

And most of all, I’m excited to see how we can bring in new players to both grow attendance and existing communities and hopefully create new communities of Bladers, too. That’s why one of my key areas of focus will be on producing content aimed at beginners, along with introducing the advanced concepts pioneered here on the WBO to a wider audience.

As a major part of that, I’ll be taking over our YouTube channel to produce Burst-related content, so please look forward to product reviews and other cool videos later this year.

To close on a more personal note: it is impossible to overstate the impact nor the importance of Beyblade and its player community on my life. It has literally made me who I am. That sounds hilarious — and it is — but I also cannot overstate how true it is.

So to be able to return to building the community I began over a decade ago, as a better person, is an overwhelming joy and honour.

I’ll do my best for you all.

– BEY BRAD
Hey World Bladers! With the successful conclusion of the WBO's first Burst Format event last weekend in Toronto, we have taken what was learned from that event and decided to make official a few significant rules changes while also clarifying some other issues experienced at the event that we believe others will experience in the near future.

Reshoot Clause: Unlimited Per Tournament, 2 Per BeyBattle
This rule change currently only applies to Burst Format.

Instead of two reshoots per tournament (and one per BeyBattle), we have changed the rule to unlimited reshoots per tournament and two per BeyBattle for Burst Format. Problems with skipping and jamming on both the BeyLauncher and Light Launcher have been found to occur much more often in Beyblade Burst than previous generations so far. We want to ensure that the outcome of every BeyBattle is as close to being an accurate depiction of player skill as possible; technical issues are something a player has no control over, and we don't want BeyBattles to be won and lost because of them.

That said, just because you will now be afforded an unlimited amount of reshoots per tournament, and two per BeyBattle does not mean that you can or should abuse this privilege. Even more so than in the past, judges will be looking for obvious technical malfunctions (or outside interference from someone walking by) when deciding whether to grant the reshoot or not. This means they will be listening for things such as grinding or skipping sounds, or watching to see if the Beyblade even leaves the shooter. If you launch weakly by accident and the judge is unable to discern any obvious technical malfunction, they reserve the right to refuse your request for a reshoot. Same goes for if you miss the stadium by accident; it is entirely possible for that to be due to a technical malfunction, but it is also possible that you simply missed the stadium.

All other procedures related to Reshoot Clause regarding the switching of parts or launcher after invoking it remain the same as they are currently described in the Universal Rulebook.

If a judge determines that you are attempting to abuse Reshoot Clause by calling it too frequently without making any change in your equipment, they have the discretionary power to take it away from you for the duration of the BeyBattle.

Burst Finish Priority
When a seemingly simultaneous Burst Finish on one Beyblade and Knockout/Outspin on another occurs, judges should give priority to the Beyblade that remained intact when deciding the outcome of the round.

The reasoning behind this is because logically, if the opposing Beyblade bursts, the one that didn't was either still inside the stadium or still spinning at that specific moment. For a Beyblade to Burst, it must be hit by a Beyblade inside the stadium. If one Beyblade is launched out of the stadium or stopped spinning a split second later, that doesn't matter; it was in the stadium or was still spinning when the opposing Beyblade burst, so it should be given the win for that round.

The only exception is if a Beyblade bursts not because of the direct hit from it's opponent, but from the impact of hitting a wall as a result of that hit. In that case if the intact Beyblade exits the stadium before the opponent bursts as a result of hitting the wall, the Beyblade which exited first would obviously be the loser.

In cases like these, what this means is that judges, you must pay very close attention to what is happening in the battle at all times.

Launching On Top of the Barrier: Illegal
Beyblades in Burst Format cannot be launched on top of the barrier that surrounds the Beystadium. Beyblades must therefore be launched inside the barrier. It is OK if the Beyblade hits the inside edge/rim of the barrier and then falls into the main play area below, but it cannot spin on top of the barrier and then fall in.

Beyblades launched outside the barrier will be given a round loss for that BeyBattle.

Marking Your Parts
In Burst Format when a BeyBattle between two Beyblades using the same or similar parts occurs, it can become difficult to discern which Beyblade is which when a Double Burst Finish occurs.

To prevent parts from becoming mixed-and-matched, we highly recommend that players take note of and do the following on their Beyblades before using them in an official BeyBattle:
  • The production lot/batch number on the bottom of the Layer. Usually this will be something like "A1", "A2", "A3", etc.
  • The number of stars on the bottom of your Disk
  • Place a few of the star stickers included on every Beyblade Burst sticker sheet on your Driver, Disk, and Layer so that you can identify which part is yours. Stickers cannot be placed on the perimeter of the Layer, Disk, or bottom of the Driver. For Disks, stickers must be placed on the bottom.

First Burst Format Event in Every Region: Unranked
The first Burst Format event in every region will be unranked. We hope that this will allow everyone to take the time to learn the new format, gain experience, and experiment without feeling the pressure of having to worry about your BeyPoint System ranking!

It is still to be determined if we will integrate Burst Format events into the current BeyPoint System, or if we will wait until we are able to have separate rankings for each format, but for the second event and beyond in each region, the results will absolutely be processed at some point in the (hopefully near) future.

Organizers, despite the first events not being eligible for BeyPoints, they must still be submitted using the WBO Organized Play Results Spreadsheet.

Everyone, if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions please feel free to ask them here. Beyblade Burst is still in its infancy, so the changes and recommendations found here are subject to change as we all gain more experience with this format!

World Bladers rejoice! As most of you already know, as of July 18th, the third generation of Beyblade–Beyblade Burst (ベイブレードバースト)–has officially been launched in Japan! In celebration of this momentous occasion, the World Beyblade Organization has taken the time to put together a full review of the series on our official Youtube channel: BeyChannel. Please take a look at the video above!

Spread the word! Share with your friends!
Help us get the word out about this new series by sharing this video with all of your friends and liking it too. Let's show everyone what makes this exciting new series unique and why they should jump back in to the game, or try it for the first time!

A big thanks to Bey Brad for his input in the production of this video, and not only a great script, but the voiceover as well! And thank you as well to Kai-V as well for her input throughout the process. Smile

By the way everyone, if you haven't seen it already, don't forget to check out the HMS & Plastics Remembrance Day + New WBO Authorized Dealer: taka.ohno + more!! announcement we posted the other day! It covers the following:
  • HMS & Plastics Remembrance Day 2015
  • Face Contest: Design an HMS Beyblade!
  • New Avatars
  • Organized Play Rule Changes & Additions
  • BeyDays 2015 BeyLotto & Face Contest: Design a Beyblade Burst Beyblade results!
  • New WBO Authorized Beyblade Dealer: Mr. taka.ohno!!
  • New BeyChannel video for HMS' NOT DEAD! 3

Hi there World Bladers!

Summer's finally onto us, and we've got a bunch of great news for you!

To start off, July coincides with...

HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day!

This year, July 25th is HMS & Plastic Remembrance Day! Of course, any events using the Plastic or HMS format and hosted on July 26th, the Sunday right after, will be accepted, no problem!

All regions are invited to commemorate the first two, Bakuten Shoot Beyblade generations on that day by organising tournaments with the local Bladers. What's more, all participants of an HMS and/or Plastic event hosted on July 25th and/or 26th will receive one additional Credit just for the occasion! That means you can get two Credits just for entering the tournament, which gets you at least one Face Booster or more in the Blader Rewards campaign!

Currently, these are the areas keeping the beginnings of Beyblade particularly at heart:

July 25th, 2015
Plastic Tactic
[Image: ca.png] Montréal - PLA
at Parc Lafontaine

July 25th, 2015
Return of Plastics II
[Image: us.png] New York - PLA
at Central Park South

As usual, there'll be a BeyLotto, but with Beyblade Burst litterally freshening our lives right now, the prizes are the Plastic-themed Face Boosters we don't get to see much of usually! That means that you've got even more chances of obtaining one, on top of those you can get for participating in an HMS-format or Plastic-format tournament with no prizes all year long!

There will be...

...

5 lucky winners! Wow, they still remain rare, but carpe diem, this might be your chance!

In addition to that, the 6th to 15th winners will be able to choose among the following Face Boosters:

Play safe and good luck!

...

But wait, all participants will receive the limited Face Booster ADVANCE as well, guaranteed! [Image: faceboosteradvance.png]

Face Contest: Design an HMS Beyblade!

Imagining a Beyblade Burst has already been done, as well as creating a new Plastic Beyblade, so why not turn our artistic minds to HMS now, when we're right in the middle of becoming familiar with the third generation of Beyblades that reminds us of previous lines? This time, we're challenging you to design a new HMS Beyblade, to continue this line of products that was very sadly cut short ten years ago!

Often considered the right mix of metal and plastic in its main part's design, HMS Beyblades came in various vibrant colours with a myriad of surprising gimmicks sometimes. You can truly let your imagination run free in this new Face Contest! You have until August 1st 2015, at 11:59:59 PM EST to submit your entry!

To read all the details on this Face Contest, make sure to check out the following topic:

HMS Face Boosters?

What's that, no focus on HMS Faces?! You're totally right, but that's because those Face Boosters are reserved for a very special purpose: you can get them as thanks for $10 donations!

New Avatars

The traditional introduction of new avatars is back, but this year, we commemorate the frankly bizarre Beyblades that Bakuten Shoot has come to rhyme with. Seriously, who thought a guitar Beyblade sounded like a good idea??

[Image: drakeos.png] [Image: wolfeos.png] [Image: bandeos.png] [Image: frankeos.png] [Image: talguitar.png] [Image: talgatling.png] [Image: trygator.png] [Image: tryhorn.png] [Image: canariers.png] [Image: starstripe.png]

Enjoy!

Happy HMS & Plastics Remembrance Day!

Organized Play Rule Changes & Additions
  • Team format officially added to the Organized Play Rulebook and the Event Guide.

  • Burst format added! With a tentative initial decision to only allow Beyblade Burst stadiums in this format, and reversely ban Beyblade Burst BeyStadiums from the other formats.

  • The BeyStadium Matrix was moved to its own page, with some clarifications added for stadiums not listed and not by Hasbro.

  • A clarification was added to the in- and out-of-play area. Not only does a Beyblade have to land in an area of the stadium where it can feasibly come back inside the main play surface, but it has to do this bounce immediately upon entering the pockets of the BeyStadium.

  • Limited banlist reconfigured slightly.

  • As was mentioned in the BEYDAYS 2015 announcement, when using the Block Round Robin format, a total of at least two Bladers from each Block must advance to the finals, with a maximum of eight finalists.

  • The previously announced reduced number of participants and result submitting process have been added to the Event Guide, and are effective and obligatory immediately.

  • The rule on fake attachment has been slightly amended in order to clarify future legal and illegal instances.

BeyLotto & Face Contest results!

You've all been waiting for them and they're now ready!

Face Contest results

After a few days of deliberation, a clear winner has come out of the Face Contest: Design a Beyblade Burst!

All of the entries were simply amazing; you guys really put all your brains and all your effort into your imaginary Beyblades, whether you had powerful tools to illustrate them or not. None of you should consider yourselves losers, everybody deserves a huge round of applause and many congratulations!

As such, it was very difficult to determine the top three. But five minds came together and the consensus was that...

...

...

Momohimi!

...

SCARlet!

...

username2130!

All win one of the following Face Boosters, as part of the official top 3!!

You guys can post your selection directly in this thread.

And now, for the top winner amongst those three...

...

...

It's SCARlet!!

You entry was not only visually appealing, but you perfectly respected key aspects of the new Beyblade Burst tops, such as a Layer with a vague design and consisting of a clear casing with coloured plastic underneath. Even though the medium used does not guarantee a win, the design was so fair, respectful of continuity and nice that it had to be chosen! Congrats! Make sure to send your address to Kei to claim your prize, by private message!

BeyDays 2015 BeyLotto

Despite most reliable hosts being gathered at Anime North, we were able to pull off a very decent number of participants to BeyDays this year! It's really great that we can all get together to enjoy Beyblade all at the same time. And of course, that involved the chance of winning prizes in the BeyLotto! Who are the richer winners?!

This year, the Face Boosters up for grabs are ALL of them, wow!

The Bladers who get to choose one of the above Face Boosters are...

originalzankye
Primus
geetster99
Ritsuka

~Thunder~
The Best Duck
ULTIMATE BLAZE

Congratulations everybody! Post your choice of Face Booster right in this topic as well, and we'll distribute everything shortly!

The two Bladers who have the very hard task of choosing a Beyblade Burst Booster of their liking are...

...

Mitsu!

...

And DJ ALPHA!

Now, the two Bladers who've just won a Beyblade Burst Starter of their choice are...

...

UltimateOrion!

And Suntailhawk!

And the lucky winner of a DX Starter from Beyblade Burst will be...

Awesome job praying to Blader DJ, guys! Your wishes were granted, at least partially! If you've won a physical prize, go right ahead and send your address and your choice to Kei to claim it!

New WBO Authorized Beyblade Dealer: Mr. taka.ohno!!

That's right, a new seller is entering the special zone of WBO Authorized Beyblade Dealers! Some of you may already know him on eBay as taka.ohno. We're proud to announce his collaboration with exclusive deals for WBO Members! Here's a message from him:

taka.ohno Wrote:I'm originally an ebay seller specialized in Beyblades, located in the city of Beyblade, Tokyo, Japan.
I started selling Beys from BB-105 Big Bang Pegasis F:D back on March, 2011.

Feedback I received on ebay is 100% positive after 3,447 successful transactions as of July 5, 2015. (please check the feedback I left.)
I have never cheated my customers by duplicating my positive feedback for myself using multiple accounts or never purchased Beys from other ebay Bey seller to leave a negative feedback like some Bey seller from Taiwan has done before.

I have also been an official supplier for Zankye's Youtube Channel "Beyblade World" by Jose Lemos since 2012.

Today I'm honored to become an WBO Authorized Dealer before the launch of Beyblade Burst in Japan on July 18, 2015 and here's the reasons why I'm here.

Latest Beys are too expensive on ebay?

- Write me and get 10% off the best ebay Buy It Now price including shipping for all the Beyblade Burst products available in Japan. You'll receive a 10% off Paypal invoice in 24 hours.

- I use the least expensive "ECONOMY AIR SAL WITH NO TRACKING NUMBER" to realize the lowest price for you who never had a problem with international shipping with no tracking number.

However a tracking number is also available for your peace of mind as well as faster shipping methods such as AIRMAIL, E-PACKET (AIRMAIL+TRACKING) or EMS for actual shipping increase if you're in hurry.

- I will try to meet your request on the shipping details as much as possible. All your request has to be made before your payments as your Bey may be posted as soon as your completed payment.

Beys takes too long to arrive?

- I am conveniently located near Japan's two primary airports, 68 kilometers from Narita and 13 kilometers from Haneda. Over 60% of internatinal flights in Japan depart from these airports. With these two airports combined Tokyo has the third busiest city airport system in the world, after London and New York. Send me a message before your payment, ask for a faster shipping methods such as AIRMAIL, E-PACKET (AIRMAIL+TRACKING) or EMS only for actual shipping increase and be the first to get the latest Beys!

- I am also conveniently located only 18 km from Tokyo International Post Office, one of only 6 international post offices in Japan combined with customs. According to the tracking records, after posting it takes only 0.4 day average for your Bey to arrive at the office and 1.8 days average to go through the customs and leave the office.

- I am also conveniently located only 1.3 km from a local post office with 24/7 service. I deliver your Bey directly to the office every day including weekends and never wait for them to pick your Bey up.

- Your Bey doesn't spend too much time in Japan and leave Japan very quickly. The rest of the duration heavily depends on the shipping method you choose. It is up to you either to save and wait for your ECONOMY AIR SAL WITH NO TRACKING NUMBER to arrive patiently or pay more and get your Bey quick via faster shipping methods.

- I don't ship to South America on ebay but I do on WBO. ECONOMY AIR SAL to Brazil can take up to max. 6 months to arrive. If you cannot wait this long please request for faster shipping method before your payment. Otherwise please wait patiently without opening a Paypal case or dispute to continue your benefit of purchasing from me.

- ECONOMY AIR SAL to Canada and Italy may take up to max. 45 days. If you cannot wait this long please request for faster shipping methods before your payment. Otherwise please wait patiently without opening a Paypal case or dispute to continue your benefit of purchasing from me.

Bey or its package arrived damaged in an envelope or plastic bag?

- I do not use light weight materials to save on shipping and increase profit. Your Bey is securely bubble wrapped and put in a custom-fit corrugated cardboard box to minimize the risk of damage.

Purchased fake Beys in the past?

- I purchase Beys only from authorized WBBA stores, WBBA / COROCORO COMIC events in Japan. Bey products has always been and will be planned, designed and engineered by TAKARA TOMY located in TOKYO only 24km from me. Its manga has always been and will be on Corocoro Comic published by SHOGAKUKAN located in TOKYO only 14km from me. Its TV anime has always been and will be broadcasted by TV TOKYO located in TOKYO only 11km from me. Buy your Bey from a store located in a city dominated by genuine Beys and a city where there is absolutely no market for fake Beys. For your reference over 90% of fake luxury goods (over 28,800 items) exposed in 2014 in Japan were imported from China.

Want to save the earth?

- Your Bey will be transported by 100% electric Nissan Leaf which produces no tailpipe pollution or greenhouse gas emissions at the point of operation, and contributes to reduced dependence on petroleum.

- Corrugated cardboard box used for packing is 100% recycled. Bubble wrap is partially recycled but I try to use as much recycled bubble wrap as possible.

Doesn't that sound nice? You can contact him by private message to his account here : http://worldbeyblade.org/User-taka-ohno
You should also start seeing his topics in the WBO Authorized Dealers sub-forum shortly. For the moment, you can visit his shop on eBay, but keep in mind that there'll be a special discount for WBO Members only if you purchase items from him here, via private message!

All new opportunities to reach mad-Beycollector status, hmmm!!

You read that right: Paramount and Mary Parent are planning a Beyblade live-action movie! These companies already worked with Hasbro to create the Transformers and G.I. Joe movies, so there's certainly much we can look forward to!

Wassup World Bladers?! Rise and shine, summer's here and it brings our favorite holiday:

BeyDays 2015
May 23rd - May 24th

It's the lucky number 7 of all BeyDays! Woo!! For six years, through good Beyblade years and bad years, Bladers all around the world have challenged the obstacles in our path to celebrate the best hobby ever! Dare I say it: are you guys ready for the next chapter in your Beystory!?

Yet another, third North American Championship has been organized by the WBO, this time fueling the latest format introduced: Team Format! Of course, as a championship, qualifiers have been held in a few regions of North America and some fiery Bladers have fought their way to a paid travel expenses prize package, so they get free entry to the championships. However, it's also open to all those who dare step foot within this realm of fighters, so come on out if you're tough enough! You can find out more about this championship and the side events and activities that enhance this experience right here: WBO North American Championship: Team Battle Revolution!

But hold on, the world certainly doesn't revolve around one region! So, we're calling out all the hosts who aren't already going to the Anime North convention for the North American Championship. T'is the irony of holding a world-renowed event each year, but we know so far that there are several areas planning tournaments for BeyDays. Here is a list of who is planning, alongside the currently confirmed events:

Planning Events:
[Image: us.png] Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
[Image: ca.png] Montréal, Québec, Canada

Confirmed Events:
Team BeyBattle Revolution
[Image: ca.png] Toronto - May 23 2015

London Rising: BeyDays Ver.
[Image: gb.png] London - May 16 2015
at Regent's Park

London has been granted an exception to host an event for BeyDays on May 16th.

To help everyone out, we're putting these cool features back on the menu for you this year:
  • Regions who have never hosted a WBO tournament in the past will be able to hold a free event for BeyDays 2015 without the $5 entry fee!
  • We will also waive the entry fee for regions that have not hosted an approved tournament in the last five months!
  • If you can't quite get the eight seven required confirmed participants yet, we'll send invites to the Members who signed up on the BeyMap in your area to urge them to attend and have fun on BeyDays, before the Event Proposal is even approved!
  • We're increasing the limit of Credits that can be gained during one weekend from the regular 8 to 16! We're blowing away the laws, battle all night!

BeyDays, with all those exceptions, is the best opportunity to start up an active Beyblade scene in your region for the rest of the year! Don't doubt it: you can always find someone hiding under a rock whom you weren't expecting!

Wondering what BeyDays is like?
Check out the sixth and final video in the GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2 video series from Anime North 2014, GRAND BATTLE ENCORE: Zero-G!:

You can view even more tournament videos here on BeyChannel.

So, do you want to host a BeyDays 2015 tournament in your area?
Click here for details! (Click to View)

In addition, a sweet new Face of Days VI [Image: Face_of_Days_VI.png] will be given to all participants of these BeyDays tournaments! That's right, no need for a super accomplishment or a 10-0 record in the event, it's automatic!

And 3, 2, 1 ...

... BeyLotto!

Of course, the BeyLotto comes back, with a vengeance! It's a special edition this year. Not only will every participant of a BeyDays tournament be automatically entered in this BeyLotto, but Passport Holders can also enter this time! As usual, the more tournaments you enter, the more chances you have in the lottery which will be done completely at random. So, for example, if you attend two tournaments and purchased a Blader Passport, you've got three entries in the BeyLotto. How's that! What that also means is that you don't even need to have played in one of the BeyDays events to enter, although it helps!

Blader Passports can be purchased at the cost of $10 US either online via our Passport page, or at any official WBO tournament.

Guess what... We're really, really fired up with Beyblade Burst looming on the horizon, so this'll be a complete Beyblade Burst-themed BeyLotto! You read that right: before they're even officially released, we're giving you a guaranteed preorder for some of the new items from Japan! For the physical prizes, there'll be a total of... 5 winners! Places have not been this limited in a while, so do all you can to help your luck!

Here's the complete list of prizes for the BeyDays BeyLotto:
  • 1st Place - 1 Beyblade Burst DX Starter!
  • 2nd Place - 1 Beyblade Burst Starter!
  • 3rd Place - 1 Beyblade Burst Starter!
  • 4th Place - 1 Beyblade Burst Booster!
  • 5th Place - 1 Beyblade Burst Booster!

At least, that's what the list is so far...! This year's been a little rougher than before, and there aren't that many tournaments being organized for BeyDays. However, sudden donations could definitely tip the Libra scale towards the 230-height sky~!

But wait, that's just for physical prizes! We're also going to give away 20 Face Boosters!! Since we're on the verge of seeing the birth of a whole new Beyblade generation, we're going to give off all the Metal Fight Beyblade Face Boosters to the 6th to 25th Place winners to celebrate what's gone by and brought us all together these past 5+ years! They'll have a choice of:

Wow, can you believe we were gifted with such a track record of Faces?! You'll probably be ripping off all the hair on your head trying to choose the Face Booster you really want!

Trial Ban of F230CF/GCF pair in Zero-G Format

You might think this is coming out of nowhere, but we've been thinking and talking about this issue that a lot of you have brought forward, and we've decided it's probably best to temporarily ban the F230+CF or F230+GCF combinations from the Zero-G format to see exactly what would happen without it.

Since the ban is only temporary, there'll be a trial period determined by the number of Zero-G events: after 10 cumulative tournaments under the Zero-G format have been hosted worldwide, the ban will be lifted, and it'll be time for the real decision to be taken.

For each Zero-G event in and after that period, we would of course like to hear your thoughts on the matter! A new thread has been opened for discussion:
F230CF & F230GCF Trial Ban in Zero-G Format Discussion

So, especially if you've battled in events of that format before and that you participate in a recent one during the trial period, come and tell the community how you liked or disliked the different gameplay, whether combinations remain the same, whether focus has shifted to countering a substitute big bad boss, or any other constructive comment for the debate!

Limited Format Ban List ver. 1.3 - Effective May 4th, 2015

To further spice things up, RS is now unbanned in the Limited Format, effective May 4th, 2015. This should give a chance to Defense types to regain the ground they had lost!

Feel free to post your opinion and tournament experience regarding this update in the Ban List Discussion topic:
MFB Limited Ban List Discussion

Event Guide updates: Team Format, bigger Block Round Robin finals, WBO OP Tournament Results Spreadsheet Template
Just a few small updates will be done to the Event Guide within the next few weeks:

Team Format
- Firstly, Team Format will finally be added to the Event Guide. For those unfamiliar with it, you can read all of the rules here in the mean time.

Block Round Robin: two Bladers must now advance to finals from each block
- Secondly, we have come to realize that having only one player per Block advancing to the finals in a Block Round Robin format tournament was slightly unfair. It essentially meant that you had to have a perfect record to move to the next stage, and that's similar to Single Elimination. And given that luck can play a factor in this game, it makes more sense to allow for a little leeway in terms of what a qualifying record would be in any given tournament.

This means that hosts should now take the top two Bladers from each Block to advance into a Finals Block, with a maximum of eight players. It'll make longer final rounds, but hopefully you all agree that this gives players a few fairer chances of going far in a tournament!

WBO OP Tournament Results Spreadsheet Template is now Mandatory!
- Thirdly, active WBO Organizers have most likely become aware and even commented on it already, but since the reception was rather positive (thanks for the support, guys!), we would like to officially make it mandatory to use the spreadsheet when submitting tournament results.

You can find it right here:
WBO OP Tournament Results Spreadsheet Template Download & Discussion

If this is the first time you're hearing about it, then in short, it's a template that will really help us keep our master spreadsheet updated, and speed up the processing of tournaments. We keep all the tournament results and information in there, even a few winning combinations so far! Submitting results like this instead of sometimes typed out in a private message, sometimes on several Challonge pages, etc. makes one of our tasks much easier! Thanks in advance for your time, although it doesn't take that much longer! And remember that you can always technically have two hosts for any given event, so it would be easy to split up responsibilities if necessary.

We're working towards a massive update to the BeyPoint System which will include spreadsheet uploading for automatic processing of results, so this is the first step towards that!

With the new Beyblade series Beyblade Burst being released this July 2015, and as the biggest community dedicated to Beyblade, we are pleased to announce that we will be giving away Beyblade Burst starter packs to Organizers to distribute in certain regions of the world to maximize the hype and give our Members a first-hand experience of the new beys in our new campaign of tournaments, Beyblade Bursts Onto The Scene!

First 7 Participants at each tournament get a brand new Beyblade to use and take home!
And listen, we're not asking for those products back at the end, no way! Those are really gifts for the community! The first 7 Bladers to arrive at the tournament will randomly pick one Layer, one Disk, and one Driver from the Beyblade Burst items, and leave with it at the end!!

There will be a mandatory $5 USD entry fee for these events, but as you can probably guess: that is well below what the Beyblades will actually cost to import if you were to do it yourself!

We know it's hard for some of you to order online, but that shouldn't be a reason to delay the organization of tournaments using the Beyblade Burst format!!

Since the first few products are getting released around July 18th 2015, there'll be a sort of trial period from July 18th to September 30th during which these events will take place. Don't worry though:
  • The first Beyblade Burst tournament in a region that receives a Starter Pack will not count towards BeyPoints, but Faces and Credits will still be given, so you only get the plus side!
  • Subsequent Beyblade Burst events will not be processed yet, but they may count later in a separate BeyPoint section!

Beyblade Bursts Onto The Scene Starter Packs
will include the following items:

For the moment, only three areas will be part of the Beyblade Bursts Onto The Scene campaign, so mark your calendars and beg your method of transportation to be able to attend one or more of the following tournaments:

Confirmed Events:
[Image: ca.png] Toronto - August 2nd 2015
at High Park

[Image: us.png] North Carolina - August 8th 2015
at Game Theory

[Image: gb.png] London - August 29th 2015
at London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

We are hoping to–at the very least–host one more event, so please stay tuned for details! And if we can afford more, we will do more. We want as many people as possible to get a chance to test out Beyblade Burst. Smile

What happens if there are more than seven players, do you ask?
Quite simply, these first seven, lucky Bladers will be asked to share with the players who came in later to the event when they are not playing in an official battle with it already. Their Beyblade will be returned at the end, because the host will have written down who got what.

We're assuming that regular stadiums like the BeyStadium Attack Type should still work with the Beyblade Burst generation, but we'll just have to adapt if it turns out to be clearly too dangerous or something like that!

What do y'all say about this?! Burst through the crowd and be the winner!

Face Contest: Design a Beyblade Burst Beyblade!
Waah, where's the traditional photography contest?! Don't worry, we ain't forgetting it! It's just that we've been blessed with a new generation of Beyblades that should be making your brains bubble with creativity already!!

So far, Beyblade Burst appears to revolve around some Norse mythology, but it's probably going to touch upon other mythologies of the world as well. So we're asking you: what do you think the next 3-layer Beyblade Burst Beyblade could be? Personally, our minds are threatening to implode with exciting ideas, but we can't even participate! Make sure to read the following pages to know more about exactly what constitutes a Layer, a Disk and a Driver, the three new Beyblade parts in Beyblade Burst!

The deadline for this Face Contest is June 18th 2015 to give a chance to students with end-of-year exams. Good luck everyone!

WBO Limited Offer: $20 BeyStadiums Attack Type!!
As a simple reminder, the $20 BeyStadium deal is still on: we've got at least 10 BeyStadiums remaining, and there are tons of regions that have the potential for tournaments at the moment, don't hesitate to apply for one just because it's limited - maybe you'll deserve one of those stadiums!

Let's all pray to the Blader DJ star, make a wish and have great BeyDays!!
An official new Beyblade generation will launch this July 2015: Beyblade Burst (ベイブレードバースト)!!

Anime trailer (set for spring 2016, work by OLM Animation Studio):

Four starter Beyblades will be released in July 2015:
(From left to right) Kerbeus (dark green), Ragnarok (orange), Valkyrie (blue) and Spriggan (red).

The actual product names are:

B-01 DX Starter Valkyrie Wing Accel
B-02 DX Starter Spriggan Spread Fusion
B-03 Starter Ragnaruk Heavy Survive
B-04 Starter Kerbeus Central Defence
B-05 Booster Spriggan Heavy Defence
B-06 Booster Ragnaruk Central Accel
B-07 Booster Kerbeus Wing Fusion

All come with a Light Launcher, again a winder-based launcher.

B-08 Beyblade Start Dash Set
This set comes with a new BeyLauncher, a string launcher, and of course the new stadium, BeyStadium Standard Type (Special Ver.). It will most likely be released separately between B-04 and B-08, or right after, like BB-10.

The Launcher Grips will be released separately:
(Right-hand corner.)

Here are the new box packagings for those Beyblades, and already recolours:
[Image: beybladeburst_starterbox.jpg] (Starter)

Valkyrie and Spriggan will both come with a [b]BeyLogger
, a device much like the BeyPointer that you will connect to your smartphone to have real-time rankings and add your own battling data to the list. They will cost 2200 yen.

[Image: beybladeburst_beyloggerconnectedtosmartphone.jpg]
[Image: beybladeburst_beycrowdsystemranking.jpg]

Ragnarok and Cerbeus will not come with a BeyLogger, so they will only cost 1200 yen.

These new Beyblades have a new "Burst Gimmick": they are meant to explode in battle! The strongest bey stays intact while the other separates! Here's a video of this gimmick in action:

The third generation of Beyblades has a three-layer part system:
  • Layer
  • Disk
  • Driver

These parts can be seen in the following pictures:

Since they explode, these Beyblades require a new sort of BeyStadium with more of a cover on top.

An anime and manga are already geared up for this new series! The manga comic will start on May 15th 2015, in the June edition of CoroCoro!
The new main character is Vart/Vurt and he owns Valkyrie Wing Accel.
Well, this was a tough time, getting through that migration, but we're slowly getting back on our feet! Winter's also progressively leaving us, which opens up a lot more opportunities to come~!

Lower Participant Limit!

With that said, we would first like to formally announce that the participant limit for approved WBO events has been decreased to 7 instead of eight. However, the issues that justified the number eight all this time remain, so lowering it to seven comes with certain differences:
  • Only the Gold Face will be distributed, not the Silver and Bronze Faces;
  • Only the following achievements will get Credits: participation (1), hosting (1), first place (2).

Hopefully this'll at least prevent those unfortunate circumstances where there's just one person missing at a tournament and that the whole thing has to be canceled! Let's also hope this makes it easier for a few areas to start a local Beyblading scene!

By the way, there are still BeyStadiums Attack Type available for 20$, so make sure you know the Organized Play Rulebook and Event Guide by heart, gather 'round your people, and submit an Event Proposal!

Face Contest: Design a WBO T-Shirt results!

Hey no, it's not those dreaded Scavenger Hunt results quite yet, but they're just as expected! That's right, here are finally the names of the winners of the T-Shirt Face Contest!!

To refresh our memories, contestants had to create a design that ideally didn't use copyrighted images, that represented Beyblade and the World Beyblade Organization, and that can be used on a straight-coloured T-shirt. There were really great entries, but only three could be chosen as the winners! And those winners are...

...

...

username2130!

Aɴɢʀʏ Fᴀᴄᴇ!

...

And Phantom Indo!

Congrats! You guys can choose one of the following Face Boosters:
Tell us what you want right in this thread!

Sweet job! Please send us the highest resolution of your design by contacting Kai-V by private message. Make sure to post a photo of it (perhaps with you inside it!) once you receive your rightful T-shirt!

Scavenger Hunt Results

This year's Scavenger Hunt was definitely filled with many events! From complete undesired downtime for 48 hours to complete undesired downtime of Beywiki for weeks, we went from a deadline of January 4th to January 21st - we certainly stretched out the festivities! At least, it really gave a chance to a lot of you to get off your Bottoms, gain some velocity and participate!

Before revealing the winners and their scores, let's see what those frustrating answers were!
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org or Beywiki!: "What will these serve for?" (2 Points)

Of course, it's for a Bey Sky Tree!
  • Find the fact on Beywiki!: "What is the size of the smallest BeyStadium?" (1 Point) 3.7 cm, why not! http://wiki.worldbeyblade.org/index.php?..._Deck_Case
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: "What are the holidays in Beyblade?" (1 Point) BeyDays, HMS & Plastics Remembrance Day and the WBO Anniversary! We also accepted Brad Day when mentioned, of course.
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: "Which Face vanished!?" (1 point) Only one person got the right answer! It was the Glass Face: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-WBO-Face...#pid671279
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: What is the most common pair of Track and Bottom and how many times was it released? (2 Points) We accepted answers of 145D with over ten releases, as well as 105F if you had counted 28 of them.
  • Find the fact on Beywiki!: The cut of quick death. (1 Point) A whooping 60° or 30°, depending on how you see it: it was Q, of course! http://wiki.worldbeyblade.org/index.php?...tom:_Quake
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: Which Beyblade recently underwent a considerable name change? (2 Points) Pumpking instead of Bumpking! More or less recently and debatably considerable, but only changes to original and not dub names were accepted.
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: Which Beyblades are for thuggin'? (1 Point) Aries and Quetzalcoatl! http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Pictures...5#pid83865 http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Attachme...pid1208924 Subtle inside joke...
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: How many people participated in tournaments in May 2011? (2 Points) 587 entries, wow! We accepted all answers above 500.

Aaaah! They weren't super easy this year, but those who got the right answers can be proud to have really earned those points!

And now, the moment you have all been waiting for...

    ...

In conclusion, we'd like to thank you for your patience during all the migration and server stabilizations! It wasn't easy on anyone, for sure, and we hope to perfect this whole situation shortly.

However, what could help us is if everyone did their best to clean up some of their old private messages. We've found out that the sheer amount of private messages our database held represented HALF of everything, which is insane if you think about it. Therefore, if you were still holding on to thousands of private messages, try deleting most of them please! There's a way to download them for achive, but right now might not be the best time for everyone to request huge downloads at once to our server, unfortunately!

By the way, we're still in that shocking winter, but start prepping yourself for... BeyDays 2015!

Beywiki is back!

Hi World Bladers!

Due to the circumstances surrounding our recent migration as well as the downtime that followed it, in addition to the fact that Beywiki will only be back online at the beginning of next week, we know we'll make numerous Bladers happy by announcing that the deadline for the ongoing Scavenger Hunt will be extended to January 14th 2015 at 23:59:59 PM EST!

Good luck to the contestants until then! The race is heating up!

Scheduled downtime for migration

Hey all WBO Bladers!

As we announced in the WBO 6th Anniversary post, there was a downtime coming up due to us having to move to another host, and apparently that downtime is coming very soon!

We just want to tell you about it so that you don't worry about the World Beyblade Organization disappearing for a couple of hours. Once the move is complete, everything will come back to normal, and you won't see a difference at all! We will still be using MyBB as our software, unlike what some of you feared. We're really just copy-pasting the site to another place, but you'll still be able to access it via the same URLs (worldbeyblade.org, beywiki.com, beybladeforums.com, beyblademetalfury.com, etc.) once the downtime is over!

So, be patient, don't worry, and tell us afterwards how you kept yourself busy Beyblade-wise during that time!

(We were told by our new host that the migration might happen as early as tomorrow morning, but it might fall on Friday instead.)
When the daylight isn't here to blow us away, it's time for what?? The WBO Anniversary! It's time to light up our Blader Spirits independently for a sixth year!

After more than 500 tournaments, and not that far from 100,000 Members, we've come such a long way, but we still have so much to do! Hey, you're so mistaken if you think we have explored everything!

We've got exactly what you need to bring some excitement to your life, and it starts right off with the highest crowd-pleaser: a Scavenger Hunt!!

Scavenger Hunt

Like last year, you can only try once per question, unless the question is found out to be too difficult and that we decide to allow more attempts per person. However, that would only be near the end of the Scavenger Hunt period, so be on the lookout! Forget that, you can now try as many times per question goal as you want, but we just ask that you wait for Kai-V's reply on whether the answer is good or not before you send further tries! One answer at a time, basically!

Here are the questions or goals you have to accomplish:
  • Host or participate in at least one approved tournament (4 Points)
  • Get four (new) of your referrals to Like the official WBO Facebook Page (2 Points)
  • Earn four (new) valid referrals and have them sign up on the BeyMap where they live (3 Points)
  • Get a photograph of at least four people playing Beyblade, with a big sign saying "Happy Anniversary WBO! " (3 Points)
  • Share a Beywiki article (requires proof such as a screenshot) (1 Point)
  • Share a BeyChannel video (requires proof such as screenshot) (1 Point)
  • Receive an additional, new Face (2 Points)
  • Be the first to find the "____ Face" hidden around the site each week (2 Points)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org or Beywiki!: "What will these serve for?" (2 Points)
  • Find the fact on Beywiki!: "What is the size of the smallest BeyStadium?" (1 Point)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: "What are the holidays in Beyblade?" (1 Point)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: "Which Face vanished!?" (1 point)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: What is the most common pair of Track and Bottom and how many times was it released? (2 Points)
  • Find the fact on Beywiki!: The cut of quick death. (1 Point)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: Which Beyblade recently underwent a considerable name change? (2 Points)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: Which Beyblades are for thuggin'? (1 Point)
  • Find the fact on worldbeyblade.org!: How many people participated in tournaments in May 2011? (2 Points)
  • Upload a video to Youtube discussing what you like the most about the World Beyblade Organization. If you've already done that previously, upload a video about where you imagine the World Beyblade Organization in a few years, knowing our history. (2 Points)
  • Post your thoughts and results about Zero-G Stadiums with other formats, whether Plastics, HMS or Limited. For now, please post them in the base of the Beyblade Customizations forum, and support your test results with videos as well, ideally. (2 Point)
  • Upload a video of you trying to explain Beyblade customization to a kid younger than 5 years old. (2 Points) If you can and if you're game, add a segment right after where you try to do the same thing but to an adult. (2 Points)
  • Upload a video to Youtube showing your experience at an Official WBO Organized Play Event and post it on the WBO and share it on social media (requires proof such as a screenshot, minimum length: 2 minutes). (3 Points)
  • Upload a video to Youtube showcasing a complete BeyBattle from an Official WBO Organized Play Event with commentary from you/players regarding the match-up/outcome on the video or in the post. Post it on the WBO and share it on social media (requires proof such as a screenshot). (3 Points)
  • Upload a video showing your Beyblade workout (joke or not)! (2 points)
  • Upload an album of photos from a Official WBO Organized Play Event and post them on the WBO in the appropriate tournament thread. Example. (1 Point)
  • Submit a BeyChannel-ready tournament video to the WBO. Details on how to do so can be found here (Limit: one video per tournament. If you collaborate with another member in editing/shooting footage, we can potentially split the points and award two to each member). (4 Points)
  • Contribute to the Beywiki Project of the Moment: Back to the roots or any of the previous Projects of the Moment! Contributions must be substantial, such as photographs of at least five boxes for the Project of the Moment: Photograph all these boxes and put them away for good! (2 Points)

The more points you get, the higher on the prize-winner list you'll be!

It's simple: all you have to do to get added to the scoreboard is to send your proof of accomplishment or your answer to Kai-V by private message. You have until January 4th 2015 11:59:59 PM EST to achieve as many goals as you can, so nothing sent after that point will be accepted. Since you only have one chance per question, take some time to do your research well before submitting a wrong answer! However, we can guarantee that all of the answers are somewhere on the World Beyblade Organization's assets!

On top of that, similar to last year, we won't necessarily post a scoreboard, and you won't be told if your answer is correct. Since private messages are flowing like tsunami in that period, it'll make the job smoother!

The first hidden Face is... the Brad Face! [Image: bface.png]
Be sure to post its location right here in this topic as soon as you find it, because only the first person will be awarded points!

Official WBO Book

We have chosen this occasion to officially launch a new, fabulous project: creating a WBO book!

In six years, a lot happened, and not everyone was on this ride since the beginning, so it'll be a good opportunity to round up some things, clear some inside jokes, but also develop on the greater parts of the World Beyblade Organization that you wouldn't necessarily find in everyday life!

This project will spread on probably a year, so anyone that has busy schedules during school can still participate whenever free time comes!

We're looking for a gang of authors who will commit to writing even just one section of the book. There will be various subjects, and we are targeting a size of around 50 pages, like a magazine. It's really just a matter of writing well, and sometimes doing a little extra research on a subject that interest you!

Here are the different sections we had come up with:
  • some sort of introductory message from the Committee/a Committee Member;
  • articles about two or three big, active regions (Toronto, New York, etc.) : feared players, anecdotes, inside jokes, etc.
  • AND/OR one general article about tournaments to englobe anecdotes from other regions as well;
  • how to become a Committee Member / and an Advanced Member;
  • lists of things to buy to be competitive, without descriptions;
  • history of the WBO in 3 phases : before Metal Fight Beyblade (and perhaps even a short history of Off the Chain and Beyblade Forums; getting Roan and people like him from back then would be great), Metal Fight Beyblade out in Japan, Metal Fight Beyblade out everywhere;
  • Days created by WBO;
  • Profiles of notable Bladers (their journey, etc.);
  • WBO's "blacklist"/inside jokes (origin of carp);
  • Abandoned ideas;
  • history of top-tier lists;
  • notable Members (e.g. th!nk);
  • Brad;
  • collaborations (Hasbro, Nelvana, what they gave, etc.);
  • Beywiki (how it was what you were led to initially when you came, but also more);
  • anecdotes (e.g. the sets of HMS avatars and signatures the Committee had once);
  • graphics (Kei's section mostly);
  • what happened to past Committee Members.

There's so much we could write about, but the above gives you an idea of the direction we want the book to have. However, all of it is up for discussion, and if you have any suggestions of things to change, subjects to add, people to interview, etc., we will soon open a new thread just to talk about it and collect ideas.

So what do you say? Excited to be part of the team? Excited to read it?

Seriously, have you ever seen a seriously interesting book related to Beyblade before?!

Image Slideshow on Index

We've seen you all wonder why there are sometimes 6x more guests online than Members. Well, so do we!

To help counter this and explain to visitors what the benefits of signing up on the World Beyblade Organization are, we have added a slider of images to show some of the top advantages. You'll only see the slideshow if you log out though. Let's cross our fingers!

No more Standard Rulebook

Times change, and since the Standard format isn't the type of tournament that's hosted the most anymore, we've decided to remove the Standard Rulebook altogether. That means that if you organise a tournament, yes you need to print a few more pages to account for all the formats, but at least there is only one document to refer to!

So, here's a link to the Universal Organized Play Rulebook, which is the only one left:
http://worldbeyblade.org/universalrules.pdf

For the moment, "Standard format" will keep that name, but yeah, you get the idea!

On the subject of rules, we also wanted to let you know that we are planning to make a few changes to the BeyPoint System, notably to accomodate tournaments with a lower limit of participants in dire cases, and also to support and clearly separate different formats. The revised version could take quite a while to come though since it's a lot of work! Events will still be processed meanwhile.

As times are slower than usual in Beyblade, we know you may find yourself wondering what to do anymore. But hey, it's not like everything falls to dust just because Beyblade releases are rarer. The WBO is a living proof that you don't need new products to be active in Beyblade!

Here are a few suggestions of things to do, if needed:

- Start up a tournament scene in your region: There are still a lot of orphan Bladers out there, some who are not on the World Beyblade Organization yet strangely, and, to name just one country, there's more than 75% of the United States that has essentially not been explored yet! Finding those lost Beyblade fans, whether online or physically in your region, can help an area find just enough players to hold a tournament. And wait- a change to the rules about the minimum number of participants is coming up shortly, so the target will be even lower! It's litterally at the tips of your fingers, World Bladers! And you don't have to help only for your own region; sometimes, a gesture will help worldwide!
- Tests that were never done before: Besides the Limited format which has not necessarily been fully tested yet, there are several things to test that people might not realise over time. Mercury? We barely have any idea how it works in comparison to other Metal Wheels on its level, which is what has led to there being no Beywiki article for it. On top of that, it's mentioned in this year's Scavenger Hunt, why not delve into out-of-the-ordinary formats? Zero-G + Plastics, why not? Plus, it's a secret, but we might try adding occasional 'restrictions' to the Limited format...! Prepare for it!
- Beywiki articles: The state of Beywiki is slightly better than before, but there are still so many articles missing, and some of them are not even about individual Beyblades. Think of a concept that needs to be immortalised somewhere for future or easy reference? That's probably exactly what belongs on Beywiki!
- WBO Book: You're more the type to write but not necessarily about the Beyblade spinning tops? You could participate to the WBO book project, or write your own series like some of your fellow Members!
- Imagine what the next Beyblade series will be: Why not put your mind to some juicy speculations about the future Beyblade series, if it's not a continuation of Metal Fight Beyblade? There's a lot to debate and be creative with that. http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Speculat...ies-system
- Be nostalgic about the Beyblade anime seasons: Less into the Beyblade toys and more interested in the anime associated with Beyblade? We just opened the Beyblade Spirit encyclopedia to the public and there's a lot to discover but also help out with! The series is full of jewels!

Got any other ideas? There's certainly not nothing to keep ourselves busy, for sure!

Host Change

We recently received the poor news that our host will be closing shop, so we just want to let you know that a move to a new host will be scheduled before the end of 2014, and during that moment the site will be temporarily closed for maintenance. Unless something goes wrong, this should only last a few hours. We will make a new announcement once we know exactly which day and time the change of host will take place, so definitely don't worry about anything!

Tweet away and be sure to share these celebrations on Facebook too! Don't forget to follow and like us as well!:
