BEYBLADE COLOSSEUM at Carolina Games Summit - February 2nd 2013

Good morning/afternoon/night World Bladers!

The results of the Scavenger Hunt are coming up soon, but for the moment, we wanted to properly promote one of the big Beyblade tournaments of 2013 : BEYBLADE COLOSSEUM.

Hosted by Dark_Mousy, this event will be held inside the Carolina Games Summit, a huge gaming convention located in North Carolina, specifically at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro.

On February 2nd, the main tournament will happen. Since there will be many participants, the format will be Double Elimination, adding much stress and excitement to the game!

The day after, on February 3rd, Dark_Mousy will host two smaller events, one with the Zero-G format, and the other, with the Plastics format. Every Blader can find their prefered game!

The World Beyblade Organization will of course be sponsoring all of these tournaments, but Youtube's Beyblade Geeks as well as Hasbro have agreed to lend out prizes too! This will be wicked!

You can find the official press release written by the Carolina Games summit right here: http://carolinagamessummit.com/journal.php#93

And here's the Beyblade Geeks' cool video about BEYBLADE COLOSSEUM and their sponsorship:

So, if you're in reasonable distance to North Carolina, even if you live in another state, this will definitely be an intense weekend and you really don't want to miss it!
Wow, I didn't realize it deserved an announcement, hah.

EDIT: And banner? WOW. I might go, just cause of the hype, hah.
I'd totally go if I had a car... sigh.
It deserves an announcement, it is a big event, the biggest event in the United Stats this year !
Cool, thanks Kai-V for posting this, and good luck to all the participants, and Dark_Mousy !~

Plus, Carolina Games Summit more or less requested that we post their press release anyway ...
Thank you for the announcement Kai-V. And a special thanks to Kaizer Vearn and Insomniac for the help with all the graphics for Colosseum. Thank you Hasbro, Beyblade Geeks, Tier Zero Gaming and WBO for all the help.
Touché to that. This is going to be a huge event that I'm sure everyone is looking forward to. Smile

You should come. There are going to be plenty of surprises. And plus 4 tournaments in 3 days? Awesomeness.
This event is going to be great! I wish I could go there. I hope some footage is taken and will be uploaded on Beychannel. Good luck to all the bladers who will be there!
Too bad I'm not even close to NC.

I bet we'll get a flood of new members after BBG made that video, and certainly more attendees to this tournament!

I'm really interested to see who places, and with what combos!

Footage will be taken for Beychannel.

You should watch the livestream. Its going to be a very socially interactive event. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc
Darn, I would definitely love to come, except that I'm not relatively close to NC. I will be looking a bit more into this, however..
oh my god that banner

Anyways, I can't wait to see how this all plays out! Good luck Dark_Mousy, and everyone who is helping him out. Tournaments like this are always the best.
Man the US and Canada get all the cool tourneys haha. Good luck with this guys.
I tried to find a way to make it, but narcolepsy and nine hour drives don't mix and I can't find a reasonably-priced flight. I'm really bummed I can't make it, because this is going to be amazing! Seriously, if any of you guys are close enough, go, it's sooooo worth the hype; it's the biggest Beyblade tournament I've seen in my competitive career, that's for sure. I'll be watching the livestream closely; who knows, maybe there will be someone using combos similar to the ones I've suggested, that'd be really cool! Good luck to all who go, and especially good luck to all the organizers!
I have been talking to my mother for the past few days and she said we might be able to go. Even though it is a eight hour car trip, its worth it! This seems like it would be very awesome to attend and if I go, I will place... hopefully, haha.

Have you thought about train possibly? Just a thought. And yes some of your combos will be in use. I promise that.

I hadn't thought about a train, but I just checked and unfortunately the only ticket I could get would land me there at 3:25pm on the 2nd, so that's a no-go Unhappy I'll keep trying to see if I can fenangle some way to get there, but all-else fails you can be certain you'll have one constant viewer for the livestream!
Ingulit-you can go a day before the event and check in into a hotel.
Wish I was born in America...
I Don't even have a passport(not the Blader one,duh).
This is the equivalent of WWE's once in a year PPV WrestleMania(This year's will be in NJ,NY as well).
the Facebook page was discussing about Written In The Stars being the theme song, well that's just a rumor I guess.
America is having all the great things this year I suppose.
Will try to do something like that in Mumbai along with others...
Good luck Dark_Mousy! This sounds great if only I still was in the US of A.
Well, there's no saying that it is going to be tough for me to attend or anything of that sort, as it actually is impossible, hah.
Like zeneo, even I don't have a passport! XD
If Ingulit could not find a reasonably-priced flight, there's no way I can find one for a relatively larger distance.
Even if I had all this, there's no way I'd get the visa to enter the US that easily, haha!
All in all, I have all the reasons that would disallow me from attending!
BUT MY BLADER'S SPIRIT BURNS BRIGHT! Unfortunately though, that couldn't really replace a passport or the money(or the visa) required to let me get there. The world has no value for blader's spirit.... ( ._.)

Good luck, Dark_Mousy! No doubt, you are a great host, but this event only gets bigger with the involvement of BBG and Hasbro and everyone else! Grin

It just adds to the grandness of the celebrations here, from what I can see so far...
[/size]So I can't drive all the way by myself, but if someone was willing to help I might be able to make it:

My main problem is that I'm narcoleptic, and it's just not safe for me to drive 9 hours by myself. However, it's a non-problem for me to drive 3 or 4 hours, which leads to my question:

Is there anybody going to the tournament from GA/AL/TN/anywhere else in the Southeast close-ish to Alabama that I could bum a ride from? Like, I'd drive to your place and hitch a ride the rest of the way there. I'd be more than happy to pay for gas, and I promise I'm really polite.

I did ask permission before I posted the same thing in two threads
Hah, I had hope for myself going for a second; when I looked at my map, I thought it said 8 hours. To my dismay it unfortunately said 18 hours when I looked again. There is absolutely no chance unfortunately. I did not know about this, that was my own fault, not looking in the official events, but hopefully at the next large tournament I may go. I just couldn't find a good flight, and money's rather tight as well. In the future maybe. I certainly hope so.

Anyways, good luck to all the Bladers who are going, and have fun!
