With the role they gave him in the manga as a chairman plus having his design updated, I feel like he will be the "old defense-type rival" Legendary Blader to receive an upgrade. I mean granted, the updated outfits do not always mean that they'll be the ones that will get it (I mean Delta wore the same clothes as he did in the previous series and we have two Diabolos' in Sparking) but he's highly likely if I'm honest.

Speaking of which, I'm getting the feeling that Wakiya is the most likely candidate for the B-177 Defense Booster (that belongs to an "old rival"). Even though Gwyn and Phi are stronger, one thing I've noticed is that all of the Legendary Bladers who did get evolutions sport different clothes. Wakiya is the only one out of the remaining Legendary Bladers (outside of the main eight) who also wears different clothes, whilst Gwyn and Phi wear the same outfits as they did before. I know that sounds like a weak argument, but it's what I've noticed.

Oh yeah, I always wondered why they gave Wakiya's design a small revamp but the others did not. Maybe he is slightly more important than the others? Maybe.

In the manga he is the chairman of the wbba. Could be that.

That's true, the only differences I've noticed on Drum/Dante's outfit (besides some recolours) are that they added the red triangle symbol on his new jacket and his pants have white stripes, one for both sides of his legs.

You clearly didn’t understand. Yes his design was edgy, but after losing to Lui he was torn, and wanted as much power as possible. He got this through a new corrupted Spryzen. However the more power he drew from it, the more it takes over him.

in S1, he broke his arm and still battled, to the point he overused his bey and it broke. Also, one can be edgy and calm.

Shu had a calm and determined nature. That's not necessarily edgy. He pushed himself because of his drive and determination to improve himself.

The main villain always gets an evolution mid season now, not to mention we have a defense type planned for November as well. That could easily be Lucifer.

that doesnt mean he not emo lol. he may have pushed himself and whatnot, but one of his character traits is he's edgy. He can't rly change that, bcause that is who he is.

Character handling is horrible. In OG it was actually really good, evolution it went down a little bit, in Cho-z it was horrible, in GT it was actually pretty good since there was an entirely new cast, in Sparking it doesn’t even exist.
