you know I've been thinking don't you guys think it was a misoportunity/mistake for tt and everyone involved not to do the full cycle on the main having each a type. we have 5 main their 4 type s1 & 2 we had valt attack type, s3 we got aiga balance type than we went back on attack type with drum for s4 now, here's my little mini rant they could've made both hikaru and hyuga a defense and stamina type respectively but they went with attack and balance again it would've been more fun if the bros had the type . I also got the same little issue with the antagonist lui attack, shu balance, phi defense so far so good 3 different and now theirs comes the issues gwynn defense and lane defense 3 defense type back to back really? Imo genesis should've been a stamina type to complete the cycle . what do you guys think?

Forget virtues, by beyblade anime ruling the only ones who can legitimately beat Shu and Lane are Hyuga and Hikaru or Rantaro and Valt since they are main characters. Once you factor everything in it gets reduced to the bros like you said.

I'm talking about in the context of the tournament. But In general, yes, the way Burst plots their seasons this was the eventuality. The only season this was different was season 1.

With Season 1 despite Valt losing he still technically succeeded by all the experience he gained and fun he had. Here If they don't beat the evil guy there's no way to twist that to be a good thing.

Actually Rantaro, Valt, Shu, Hikaru and Hyuga are all part of the main cast for sparking.
Rantaro is the only legend to have appeared in all episodes of Sparking so far. Valt has missed out in a lot of episodes.

A scene in the episode 38 preview suggests that he'll probably leave during the tournament, but come back after.
Since they give Dante no screen time they better make him and Lui do really good in the tournament.
