This year was carp for me, can't wait for it to end.

Next year my resolution is to have more fun (and since seeing "the yes man" to say yes to more things).

I said the same thing last year, but hence ill say it again "I doubt next year will be as bad as this one."
But every time, fate/karma/whatever decides to bite me in the arse and prove otherwise.
boo hoo

I'm seriously pissed that my holidays are almost over. After these holidays I have months of solid work for my GCSEs. By solid I mean, weekends I'll have to work, holidays I'll have to work, after school I'll have to work, my lunch break I'll have to work, and I'll be getting less sleep because... I HAVE TO WORK.

I don't think next year will be good.

This is me all over. I am dreading next year. Every evening I realise I'm a day closer to my GCSE's and have a mini panic attack. I'm so doomed. ;__;

lol, yeah.

But all the teachers say "the first thing they look at is GCSE results". No. They look at attendance, no attendance no job. Then they check your qualifications from the highest to the lowest. Sure, good GCSEs will help and I'm in no way saying to slack but they're just wrong.

Good attendance and AS, A levels and a degree or some random guy who fails at life but has good GCSEs and never turns up to work? As an employer I'd take the first guy tbh.

I'm am SOOOOOO hoping that isn't true. If they pay that much attention to attendance I should literally just give up now. *dies*

GCSE's arent as hard as you think.

GCSE's arent as hard as you think.

But I've done literally none of the coursework. Well some of it. Basically, even if I ace my tests, I'm still kinda screwed. Pinching_eyes_2
You've got until, I think, March (Well I had anyway).
Depends on what youre behind with though. Just make sure you get at least 4 A*-C grades (Including one english, maths and science) and you should be alright. I had to hold back a year on Biology because I needed maths (Which im resitting because I had a D thanks to my teacher going 'You didnt do part 2 of the coursework, so instead of marking part one like im supposed to, you just get a 0')

What are you planning to do after high school?
March? That's even worse than I thought. Definitely doomed now.

And I have no idea.
You just need to work work work.
If you can get help from teachers, get it. and if you fail a few grades, just retake them, if you get a D in maths, you can usually resit between November and January provided you find the right place.
the other subjects probably border similar.

Thinking of exams, I have my psychology mock next Thursday @_@ Though they gave us ample time to revise since we've had 3 weeks (Technically 4 for me because I only had college 1 day on the last week because Photography was cancelled) off XD
I just feel uncomfortable having to write about a 3 year old having a form of sexual desires towards his mother and wanting his dad dead eventhough he loved him (See psychology Sigmund Freud).

Attendance shows that you're reliable. If you get a job and they show that you're punctual and have good attendance for a long period of time your next employer will be likely to overlook bad school attendance, especially if you got good school grades anyways.

All I'm saying is, GCSEs seem to be more of a thing to help you get into A level and stuff rather than something which majorly affects your job (unless you stop school after GCSE).

Either way, try to think that there are many people who are in major jobs and get paid a lot of money but get no time off to enjoy it? =/
But if I fail my GCSE's I can't take A-Levels! Also, I'm terribly unreliable (when it comes to school anyways). To be honest I'm probably making a much bigger deal out of this than need be. I'm pretty sure I can get at least 4 A*-C's. I'm just really terrified of this upcoming year......
I know how you feel about being scared of them, but once theyre over and done with, youve got 8-9 weeks relaxing.
Also, if you have bad attendance now, but have a pretty much ace attendance in college, they'll pay more attention to that than your high school. Otherwise I'd be carp since I ended up ill through most of year 10 (Due to health problems) and missed most of my year. So long as you make it up in college, they'll actually look at you as reliable because you can choose to go without your parents getting into carp. Meaning youre choosing to go, so youre in a way, reliable for being punctual to a job if you want to do it.

That probably made no sense what so ever XD
No, that made sense. I guess that's okay (providing I even get into college). Sucks about your year 10 though. Unhappy

Wait, by college do you mean sixth form or uni? Gasp
College is well.
For here, sixth form is where you stay for an extra year or two in high school. you can choose this or college (Though you can still go to college after sixth form) This is where you get:
A-Levels
National Diplomas
B-Tech's

Then it's Uni where you go on to get a degree in whatever.
Never knew that England and Wales had a different system XD
Actually, I think that's the same as over here. I've just never really known what college was......we don't talk about it much at my school. Uncertain
Ahh fair enough XD..You are aware that Wales is the really small country attached to the left of england right? XD Saying "Over here" makes it feel like we're abroad XD
It's a reeeeeeaaaaaaaally long drive though. XD
