That gig went amazing!

We played a mixture of songs I strung together, being About A Girl (Nirvana), Boss DJ (Sublime), Trenchtown Rock (Bob Marley and the Wailers), and Wrong Way (Sublime)

I'm not sure about my computer...it just started make this godawful hissing noise out of the fan, and then I heard a clink and the fan stopped. Big mess.

We got like 10 bucks from playing outside at first. It was a coffee shop, and every Tuesday they have five acts (first come first serve) play and be judged.

Here's how it went:

1. Two guys who played a song they wrote, and a John Mayer cover. C (Fifth time playing there)

2. A guy played a technical new wave song, with a lot of mistakes. A- (First time playing there)

3. A girl with an amazing voice, but chicken scratch guitar played... C+ (Plays there every week)

4. We played weeeeee! Lol B+ (First time playing EVER)

5. Two dudes played some songs they wrote, not bad, not great. B (Play there every week)

Not bad at all I must say ^^ Going next week with new songs

First gig's always fun. By the by, if you guys lay down some tracks (individual wavs) and would like to have 'em mixed and mastered for free, let me know. I have basic comprehension of audio engineering, but I think I manage pretty well (just listen to my recordings, heh). I help out fellow local bands with their demos from time to time, and I'm always willing to take on another project.

I'm trying to mix on my own right now, with mild success hahahaha. Our demos right now are not good enough to even waste your time with, since we lack a bassist and a drum set currently. If you would though around December, we would greatly appreciate it!

On a related note, I should go back into the studio sometime in November to record 3-5 songs. It's gonna be a blast. A HUGE blast, aimed right towards my carp wallet...
