and, no, mohammed is never mentioned (to my knowledge and i've read most of it). the only arab roots are in genesis pertaining to ishmael and his departure, and how god will look kindly upon his people

are you serious?

first up, how about we use a little a logic? why would the christian holy book validate the islamic prophet? does that make any sense, at all? they would be discrediting everything christians believe as jesus as the son of god etc. etc.

you really need to learn how to look at the big picture and stop taking stuff personally. this is like the third time where you've done this dude
Most of the books are written the same, they're just different languages and catered to different religions.
no they are not written the same, damn
if they are catering to different sects, and say different things, they are not the same
Hey hey time out the bible is never rewritten. I mean the last update to the bible was what, the new testament? Why would the bible mention a later prophet when they think that Jesus is divine (debated but carp if i'm gonna get into the 50aueuwyr3owaryosue billion sects of Christianity right now) when Christianity and the Bible is about how to live under Jesus' teachings?

There is absolutely no reason for them to mention the Islamic prophet, nor do they believe in him. This is different for the Qu'ran, which says that Jesus is a prophet but Muhammad is his greatest prophet and there is no god but Allah.

Look, how can the bible even mention it when
A: It's not written during any time that Muhammad exists.
B: It's all about Jesus
C: The Qu'ran has not be updated since it was revealed to Muhammad by the (arch)angel Gabriel and has not included anything past what was told to Muhammad.

Of course if it makes you feel better Taḥrīf may have occured in the texts. So. Perhaps it was mentioned but they removed it for fear that it would undermine their religion. That's about all I can give you.

I wholeheartedly disagree. There is no a doubt in my mind that the Bible has constantly been rewritten throughout history to suit the needs of the time.

I agree with everything else (except that the Bible is all about Jesus. It's not--that would be the NT).
I would be shocked if the bible was rewritten after the 7th century. =/ (although i am starting to believe you guys more than I believe my own faith that they wouldn't do that)

At least I hope so. I guess I have too much faith. I mean I would think that the bibles could have translation errors, or even maybe other things that dealt with the people that made them, but if portions were significantly altered...=/

I mean it wouldn't make sense why would they change it if there is still so much that doesn't make sense at this point.. ahhh my brain hurts.

I think you've just blown my mind I don't want to think about this anymore.
