So true. I actually fail to see why people wouldn't wear their seatbelts though, are they just stupid or do they think it makes them badass or what? o.O
well the argument kind of makes sense. it's part of that libertarian thinking "why should the government tell me i have to do this"

it has some strength to it, i guess. i always wear a seatbelt though

Well it's more comfortable. I wear my seatbelt 99% of the time but I much prefer not to. I like the freedom of movement. Uncertain Hence, why I think coaches and taxis are awesome.

Because then you won't die a horrible death when you crash, wasting peoples' time who have to clean your carp up, identify the body, tell your loved ones, that and you're more likely to crash the car and cause them all kinds of other carp if you stop the car suddenly.

EDIT:
Quote:Well it's more comfortable.

Buy comfy seatbelts. That what I do. =D

Why should the government tell me what risks I can and cannot take?

It's not necessarily an argument I completely agree with ... but it has some merit.

Some but not a lot. It's not the fact that you die so much as all the paperwork they have to go through, clearing up your corpse, identifying it and stuff. Well, that was my point anyways.

Some people just don't like the (seemingly) inane restrictions with the appearance just to gain "resources" because of them.

yeah you're right being slightly more comfortable is worth the risk of a horrific death

Yet they wonder why it pisses me off that at school we have to travel in either a minibus with no seatbelts whatsoever or a coack where we get lap belts and a massive sharp metal ash tray in the hard wooden back of the seat about a foot from our face. Not to mention the drivers we get are carp, one boarded the "sidewalk" once. (using the american term for the benefit of you guys lol)
buses are a bit of a different situation, though i would prefer they had seatbelts
i would prefer if buses had separate sections for drunks so that i don't have to deal with the smell, but we can't win everything

But surely if you were did you wouldn't be too bothered about the government going through paperwork......=_=

And seperate sections for 'antisocial youths'.
And for the elderly. Not that I have anything against them. But they'd probably prefer it. Uncertain

No, but if you get caught not wearing a seat belt and get fined you're bound be pissed off therefore the extra paperwork and stuff is stopped.
Quote:Not that I have anything against them.
I do. Elderly people constantly complain about the bus services being taken up by children to get home from school. "Why don't they use the school bus?" was one of the most recent ones I heard, and they talked uberly loudly about it for like 10 minutes with about 50 school children on the bus. I'm surprised someone didn't tell them that we don't get a carp school bus. It's not like we ENJOY being crammed into public ones.

Not only that, they complain about it when THEY get it for FREE around here as a benefit. x.x

I guess you have a point there. Uncertain I try and be polite to the elderly but they can be so damn rude back sometimes. And then I feel down for the rest of the day......;__;
Plus, is it possible for you to get a train to school? Gasp
i unironically hate the elderly 95% of them are jerks

however cool elderly are the coolest
I walk to school.

I'm stupid with the TTC.

Yes but it would take like 3 hours compared to 30 minutes.
