so basically i feel really really accomplished

while i did some driving in the truck and shifted with a few of short stalls, i managed to not kill the engine mid-drive.

also, my dad said that my idea of 'spiking' the revs for just a brief moment (go from 2000 to around 4500 or so rpm) (5500 rpm is right by the redline on this truck) to give me more time to shift without a stall is great and he hasn't thought about it himself.

next time i practice (i do not have the time to- i must work very much in school as the quarter has 4 more weeks until it is over [this means that i have to make up for my high 70's in 3 out of the 4 of my classes]) i will try this technique.

Less than five minutes. w00t.

Wow, my "fast showers" usually take 10min minimum.

I feel like giving you both awards. 0_0 But seeing as I don't have any you'll have to make do with hugs........*hug*

My quick shower is like half an hour.........with a long relaxing shower at around 2 hours. ^^;
What are you doing in a shower for 2 hours? A bath is maybe understandable, but a shower? Mine is usually no more then 10 Mins. Helps that I do it in the morning so it's freaking freezing.

Also, Lights is awesome.

oh we know, we know
lmao

My showers normally last 15-20 minutes.

O/////O No way! Don't suggest things.......XD
I'm just really lazy. I swear I could stay in there forever.
Oh but I do sit for 3/4 of my showers so I guess that's makes it a bit more understandable? I mean standing for two hours would be tiresome.....
You must be paying a lot for your water bill
(Dec. 09, 2008  11:58 PM)yruahippo Wrote: [ -> ]I mean standing for two hours would be tiresome.....

i have stood still for more than 3 hours with minimal movement and it wasn't that bad
^wtf
I take 30 minute showers.
But that includes drying off.
:X
lol i had to do a ceremony in rotc uniform a year ago, and we had to stay still as a select few were getting promoted.

the ones promoted were to be the ones leading the whole battalion/operation, so it was a pretty important ceremony

as such, we had about two hours to practice (for us not getting promoted) (which practice basically means standing), then one hour of the actual ceremony

pretty hXc considering that if you lock your knees for too long you pass out (all of us needed to move our knees from time to time though lmao)
i waited in line for a rollercoster for 3 and a half hours before. Stood the whole time.
I'm on my feet for 6 hours a day at work with only a 15 minute break to sit down.

Its really not that bad. lol
its only bad if your standing in line.
which is why i hate amusement parks
standing around isn't all that bad, in photography class you can't sit down because there's nowhere to actually sit down too, so you're stood up for a good 3 hours while you're working.

and Urgh, Wisdom teeth carp suck.

I've said what, 3 times now for you all to drop it? And wait, we're still going.
Are you just looking for an excuse for me to get a warning/Ban? Because it sure looks that way.

So, no, i'm not going to rise to it and start Defending myself further, because I've explained my case and have no need to take this further as it shouldnt have gone this far in the first place.

thank you.

My personal opinion, I would've told them to bugger off and closed the door on them, I dont agree with people walking about knocking your door, chirping a few notes and expecting cash for their efforts.

Sorry, but I can't put off commenting on this any longer, especially since Dreamborn had the gall to report not only Roan but my own staff member Synesthesia for the comments made here.

May, backing down from an argument after everyone has called you out on your carp does not equate to taking the moral high ground, no matter how much you act like it does. Asking people to drop it does not absolve you of responsibility. Rather, you look like a coward who isn't willing to own up to your own actions. What you did was a seriously dickish thing and incredibly immature. They were just some kids trying to spread Christmas spirit and you could've just said you weren't interested instead of being a carp about it.

Dreamborn, believe it or not, this is not your message board and just because someone criticizes your girlfriend does not give you some right to act like it's completely unjustified. Glad to know though, that you as well would tell some children to "bugger off" when they sang you some songs. Just to note, paying for carols isn't mandatory, but heaven forbid you give a dollar to some kids right? You could also not answer the door. Or politely say you aren't interested. Or any other multitude of things that don't make you out to be a prick.

Also,

what the hell are you talking about

I anxiously await you to report this post to myself.

If you were doing you job as a mod, you wouldve stepped in when this began and gone "Okay guys, stop it."
But you didn't. A mod is not meant to be biased just because they think someone in particular is wrong, they are just meant to be the neutral person who says "look this is stupid, stop it" and in all, it should provided it's handled correctly.

Call me up on this all you want, but I own my own forum and not once have we had an arguement thats lasted more than 5 posts because I step in and say "Woah, stop, both of you" and it does stop.

i'm sure if synesthesia had been on your side you wouldn't have complained

don't tell the staff how to act here, you're not the policy-writer and you seemed to be getting along just fine until your probation lifted Libruhhh
beyunit-darlord: im making a new website
BeyUK-Espio: Good for you.
beyunit-darklord: obimadu@live.co.uk
BeyUK-Espio: I'm not interested a this point tbh.
beyunit-darklord: shut up espio u carp
BeyUK-Espio: What is your problem. I wasn't being harsh. I just said I wasn't interested at this point as you have nothing to show me. I don't need to contact you regarding it.
beyunit-darklord: ok, soz

I broke up in histerics when I read the "shut up espio you carp" part. This occured yesterday because somebody said they were making a new website and I said I wasn't interested at the moment. Fair enough I probably could have handled my response a bit better but oh well.
I still feel horrible.

XD Including drying off it's a whole other story.

And yeah, people can stand around for hours but it's not excatly fun. I mean, given the choice at least, I'd rather sit down. ^^;

@To: I hope you feel better soon. Unhappy

It's not the fact that im acting different, it's just no matter what the situation, someone shouldve just stepped in and went "Hey hey hey settle down" and of all people, it should be moderators, which I noticed one failed to do and carried the war on.

And I didn't say "Lets stop" because i'm being a coward, I just didnt see the point of a flame war which started up just because I said something people didn't agree with.

We don't celebrate Christmas in the same way as you do over there (As I've been told by my psych teacher who is from Canada, because she was surprised at how many of us hate Christmas) we don't see it as a big deal and don't treat it like one if something like this happens.
So i'm guessing no-one really saw the joke behind it.

So, can we please put this behind us and carry on with the thread? I don't see the point in bringing something back up after we've all stopped.
