I think Pokemon just became Digimon (Mega evolutions?) but holy carp they used two of my favorite Pokemon as promotions for it (Blaziken and Lucario) and they look SO DAMN AMAZING
EDIT: I know it's unconfirmed but honestly either way I'm happy with how X and Y are looking. I wanted X but they aren't convincing me enough with it so probably Y for me.
it would be cool if they made it for the dsi or the ds too not for just the 3ds
MegaBlaziken looks amazing, and so do the other mega evolutions. The new pokemon are alright, nothing amazing, but cool overall. Oh, and this video kind of has some information:

I personally HATE the idea of Megavolutions. "Game freak is a breakin' the system. Did they walk up to the growing Digimon, kick them really hard in the shins, loot the ideas, then leave them to die? They're showing they ran out of ideas.
So MegaAmpharos is apparently electric/dragon which is awesome. And I have a good feeling Horubii is going to be the Bidoof of this generation. One of my biggest hopes for X/Y though is that Helioptile evolves into an electric dragon. And since Blaziken got a mega evolution, it is possible that the other starters will get them as well. If they do, it will make them even cooler. I kind of have a feeling if Charizard got a mega evolution, he would be a dragon/fire type.

holy carp didn't see this coming oh my carp that is insame and is it me or does the new mouse pokemon look like a pokemon that we all know and love?
So I was looking some pokemon stuff up online and I came across a few pictures, and thought that it would be really cool if gamefreak made Honedge able to equip itself with other pokemon.

That looks pretty cool. It also looks like a bronzong is equipped to golerk as well. It would be cool and strange to equipt pokemon together. Hopefully you can actually do that in gameplay.

I agree, it SOUNDS like a digimon thing but I can't judge it until I have it in my own hands
shattering previous concepts with something awesome shows that game freak is willing to go further with pokemon than before
- Mega Absol only looks OK. I didn't expect anything better though, the former
was already awesome looking.
- Mega Ampharos looks boring, only difference are the cotton on its head on tail.
- Mega Blaziken(ite?) looks really cool, the black takes it over the top, and I guess Lucario looks alright.
I have no problem with the introduction if Mega Evolutions, it just makes the game better.
Mega Kangaskhan was shown yesterday. Looks the same, but the baby fights alongside his parent. Has the ability "Parental Bond" which allows it to hit twice on the same turn =o
You can only have one Mega Evolution during battle, which should help balance their power out. Even then, while Mega Lucario and Blaziken are great, they certainly didn't need the extra power, much less Mewtwo, but it's awesome news for pokés like Ampharos and Mawile.
Biggest change and news for Pokémon in a long time. Really excited for this =)

Actually, there's a slight difference. The baby looks different from the usual babies shown in the anime/occasionally in the game. It has that armor-like purple plating surrounding it now. But dat ability oh man.
Man I wanted to have Mega Lucario and Blaziken in the same match...but it's still great to hear they're balancing it out in some manner.
Does anyone know if the "Mega Stones" are a one time use item?
Once they are in Mega Form, they can't go back?
I think they change form during battle and change back afterwards

It's a non-consumptive hold item; you can re-use it as many times as you like.

I don't know but it's probably a key item like bikes roller blades and maps
