I just got Dragonite! Is he any good?

Generally, yes. If he has a good nature for a physical attacker like Adamant or Jolly, all you'll need to do is EV and IV train him and teach him good moves like Outrage and Dragon Dance and he'll be set. Otherwise, just breed him with a Ditto until you get the desired nature.
He's considered generally good though if you have his Hidden Ability, Multiscale, which is incredible.

EV training haha. IVs are bred for, not acquired through battling.

I'm afraid that's all done. He's at level 81.

Here's my new team, but still finding something for Lapras.

Lapras
Gengar
Blaziken
Dragonite
Charizard
Lucario
I've had much success with Dragonite. He's a very good dragon type and probably the best along with Garchomp. I use dragon dance, outrage, fire punch, and earthquake. It's been sweeping once I get one dragon dance up. Also, it's an adamant nature with multiscale. And it might be a good idea to switch outrage out for dragon claw since people sometimes switch into fairies during outrage.

No, I'm breeding, I have like 5 Bagons. I just don't have the patience for IV training. I'd rather EV train.

I would strongly advise against outrage this generation. There are a number of fairy type threats that only need the free turn of setup it gives them to wreck a team this gen (Belly Drum Azumarill being the biggest example, mega mawile and nasty plot togekiss are similar). Dragonite's dragon claw hits like a truck after a single dragon dance anyway.

Multiscale Dragonite is still one of the top threats this gen despite the nerf dragons received, largely because of its excellent synergy with numerous megas and strong fairy types. Weakness Policy is a nice addition to its arsenal too, though leftovers etc is probably better overall because of multiscale.

: Using charizard without a rapid spinner or defogger is asking to lose 50% of your health to stealth rocks.

Anyways, Smogon has banned Blaziken (both normal and mega) back to ubers (initially I didn't agree but given the fact it can run substitute to prevent being killed by talonflame and that against other threats it can just baton pass its boosts onto something else which can then carry on wrecking a team, I changed my mind), and it looks like mega gengar is going the same way (largely because of shadow tag+perish song, as it can switch out on the final turn while the opponent cannot). So if you're using either of those on wifi, expect people to disconnect semi-regularly.

In-game wise, I'm so close to having seen all the kalos dex pokemon, I just need to see Articuno and Zapdos, and I don't know anyone who has caught the latter (and the fact I'm having trouble chasing moltres back to its cave isn't helping things). So frustrating, especially as when I first searched the GTS for Zapdos there was one up for a L1 Kangaskhan, which I have from breeding them, that I missed out on. Gah.

^ I didn't know you could do that .. it never worked for me when I tried on other routes, they kept staying in the same spot it was before ..

I have Articuno, Moltres i'll get in my X and I'll be catching all the Legendaries and transferring to Y for collection, and start with Fennekin for Zapdos.
I was a bit disappointed when I found out Blaziken was banned but oh well. I don't really use him a lot but he's on my in-game competitive team since I can't get Infernape yet which I like so much more. I really like Infernape and he's still pretty good this gen. Mine has Close Combat, Flare Blitz, U-Turn, and Poison Jab which actually makes it pretty versatile and it has managed to take out a lot of strong pokemon especially if stealth rocks and sticky web is set up which is why I use Smeargle as a lead but I sometimes lead with Rotom Wash to maybe get off a good will-o-wisp on a threatening opponent.

One of the early towns in the last two gens acted the same, so maybe. Gave it a shot and it was right there on route 4, but since encountering it that time it seems to be staying a couple of routes away. Must be getting close to having it settle now though.

I'm getting Y for christmas and starting with fennekin (and trading my shiny froakie over) but at that point pokebank will be open anyway, and I really want to get that oval charm to speed up breeding. Once I catch moltres I'll put it up on the GTS for Zapdos and hope for the best, I think, seeing as I know a couple of people with articuno.

EDIT: It does seem to be working, with a bit of patience it eventually returns to route 4 after numerous passes between there and santalune, and returned there again after the next change, so this does seem to be the most efficient way to do it. Thanks for the link.

EDIT 2: Caught it, and strangely enough the professor says I've seen all the pokemon in the coastal dex despite not having seen zapdos or articuno. Will see if they don't count towards the oval charm or something once I've hatched a deino and lotad as I forgot to do those yesterday when I was breeding out all the first stage mons I was missing.

EDIT 3: Yep, the other two legendary birds don't count towards the oval charm. Though I did get a zapdos on the gts for my moltres after all.

I've been really annoyed by the lack of good rocks setters pre-pokebank, Tyranitar is the best so far but it sets off sandstorms (and really needs those sandstorms for its spdef), so it doesn't fit well onto a lot of my teams. I could run smeargle but I've never liked leads that can't actually kill things themselves, even with spore it feels like a waste of a team slot. With talonflame and charizard variants everywhere, stealth rock is more important than ever, and it's a pain to actually get onto a team...
On the topic of Outrage against Fairy types, while a free turn is always great, the Dragon user still gets to at least switch out and possibly comeback later on once his counters and/or checks are gone, since against an immunity, Outrage simply stops. If you instead switch in a Steel type, they'll be trapped for the duration of Outrage (2 to 3 turns) and most likely doomed.
That said, the presence of Fairies alone is a good deterrent against the use of Dragon moves, especially choice locked ones, while mono attacking Dragon sets which could even punch through Steels with a few boosts are a thing of the past.

Breeding Froakies atm. Their gender ratio has been making it a pain in the butt to get better females (12.5%) and when I do get one, half the time they don't have Protean... I've already got a few males with 5 perfect IVs, but I'd like to try for a hex flawless this time (not gonna breed for HP Fire right now). At least I got some nice wondertrades with several perfect IVs from it.
Oh, it just stops? That's... A strange way for it to work, and I wasn't aware of that, my bad. Still, a guaranteed free entry (and a likely switch) is often all something like belly drum azumarill needs to take down most teams (given it generally runs sitrus berry and is very hard to deal 75% to before it knocks even the bulkiest pokemon out, and +6 aqua jet for everything else).
Ok I was out hunting for abras today and I stumbled across a shiny skiddo!

I literally screamed out of joy mainly because one it was unexpected and Two it was a shiny I wanted for a while

So I used my Zangoose (Vega) to weaken it, mainly with false swipe

I threw a luxory ball at it (kind of a new tradition I made, all non fossil shinies will be caught/bred in luxory balls)

So I caught it and I said "if it has good IVs I'm gonna be amazed"

Well I looked and Its nature was Naive....Ok not so good nature BUT....here are its IVs through the use of Serebiis IV calculator with the help of that judge dude

HP: 30
Attk: 25
Def: 10
SpA: 19
SpD: 27
Spd: 25

Aside from defense I think those are reasonably good....any one wanna help me with nicknaming her? I named her Goetta...but I want something more appropiate...
Good catch, Clonetos!!!
Don't know a good nickname, I'm terrible with them. The best one I have is my Lv. 99 Mawile named Omnomnom.
I just got the Ralts from the Champion. Is the Ralts any good?
Meh, everyone gets one, you can raise it with Ev's and get a good Gallade or Gandevoir.
Anybody want to trade me a Xerneas?...I know its a long shot, and I doubt anybody would trade one any time soon. Anyway, PM me if anybody wants to. I have some decent stuff I'd be willing to trade.
Dragonite
Scizor
Gyrados
Gengar
Lucario

is my team. What pokemon should I add to finish it? Fire type right? Which one though...

If you also have a hyper-offensive team that might not do well if you can't break walls or tanks. You have 4 physical attackers and 1 special, assuming Lucario is physical because that's what it does best.

Your team has no way of removing hazards, which you need seeing how you have Dragonite and Gyarados who both take 1/4 from SR damage. If you're adding a fire-type, that makes it even worse - especially if it's Volcarona or something haha. Additionally, if your Dragonite doesn't have Multiscale, you might as well use Salamence. You'd want a way to set up hazards as well for your own team.

Also, 4 of the Pokemon you list can go Mega. Which one would you be using? If you're not using Mega, that's really not a good idea.

But yeah, defense might be useful for you. Maybe a Steel-type, or even a nice Fairy type to counter Dragons and other things. You could also switch out a sweeper for another defensive Pokemon and form a defensive core.
So I played my first ever official Pokemon VGC tournament on Saturday, It went really well managed to get into the top 6 just had to win that match and I would of qualified for This! Obviously disappointing that I just had to win that last match and I would of qualified (Damn Rock slide miss) but overall happy that I did so well.
How do you register for a VGC tourney?

you do nothing

Clearly a bunch of people here like it. Also, it's the second best selling video game franchise and by the way, a beyblade forum is not the place to be calling Pokemon stupid
Does anybody have a Ditto from a location besides the US that they could trade me? I would be willing to trade my US Ditto or a few other pokemon. If you want to trade PM because I really want one for my game. Thanks.
