Hm, seeing as some of us are getting X and some Y, shall we exchange "friend codes" at some point? I'm aiming to complete the pokedex at some point (Almost there on Pearl...), so having X exclusive Pokemon would help (excluding Xerneas, hehe). Another thing is starters. We could breed our starters once the daycare is available and share them around. I'm sure no one objects to that?

You can get a 2DS, its cheaper than the 3DS too or you get a regular 3DS than the XL one.

Depends where you live. Here, the 3DS's are $180 or so, while the 2DS is $150 and under. The 2DS should be $129 for US or so.

The evolution of Doublade, Aegislash has some pretty amazing offensive and defensive stats. Not only that, but you can also get it pretty early on in the game. And it looks pretty cool too! Check this out:

I just saw an hour long gamplay video and it was awesome,I'm going to try and convince my parents to get a nintendo 3ds,but I probalay ain't because i broke two nintendo ds's when I was younger and those things are high

I think I am getting X for Mega Charizard, even if I wanted Y for Mega Mewtwo and Yvetal.
The video shows that you get the Mega Stone when you choose the Kanto starter.

Do you actually get to catch the legendaries or just fight them?
Of course you can catch them, it's just hard.
No you get the megastone and once your Pokemon evolves into 2rd stage then you give it the megastone and it will get it's "mega" form.
Hopefully I'll be able to get this game eventually. It looks pretty good, but I'll wait for the reviews and when I can get it. Aeigislash seems pretty good to me. I can't figure out which starters i want to get. I already know some of the pokemon I want on my team, but I guess I will wait and see once I get good, hands on gameplay.
Froakie is my favorite. He is the Water type.

Watch that video or part 2. The dude gets the Charizardite X WITH the Charmander.
