If one member just posts to say that the topic will be closed and explains to the other user why it will be locked, I do not mind.

If more people post after that yet that the first reply was correct, then yes, we consider it SPAM most of the time.
I got an Idea. The first one to notice the wrong thread can type- POSTING ON THIS THREAD PROHIBITED. THREAD STARTER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF HIS MISTAKE.(bold, in red color). So, people will not make any mistakes. Still, if someone else posts, we must check the time they posted. Coz sometimes two users post at the same time, thus there are two posts. The time limit must be one minute. Posts after 1 minute of the warning post, will be spam.
We do not need such a thing, We'll just report it, Then post in the topic as to why it is reported and should be closed, and when a moderator sees it. What we're doing right now is fine.

Also, Delta Blader, Moderators and Committee members have lives outside the WBO and they will not go patrolling, it is our job to be 'mini-mods' and report the post / topic, it would be easier for the Staff, as they can just check they're reported messages window, and do their magic.
Well, that's it, then! Your idea has become the WBO's tradition. Still, darkblader is correct in his way. Just one, ONLY ONE person should report and post on the bad thread. You know, some threads actually become kinda hot threads and become very famous(provided the mods haven't seen it yet). When you check them. All replies will say, This thread is bad, we don't need this, I'll get this reported.... etc. etc.
I think there should be more questions and answers in the FAQ. Also it says we have 8000 members, we almost have 40,000...
Suggest questions.
Things like User Titles, The Best Combo, How to search. Just simple stuff that people still don't know how to do.
By the way, I still have to give people the link to that section, and I unbelievably still get people who ask how to play here ...
Maybe you can put the link in the welcome PM?

It is?? Then how come people never read it? Then again, I don't think I read the PM itself...
The Marketplace forum : selling/trading/buying has become an essential part of WBO. My suggestion would be to have a somewhat similar rating system to Ebay.

Seller/buyer gives each other ratings. Maybe -5 to +5, depending on the deal's experience. The rating could be shown under the avatar (perhaps below the beyrank)

Plus side: It gives a sense of security for members to purchase from a 'respectable seller' and vice versa. In the long run, the purchase/sell/trade forum could be an important aspect for WBO apart from discussing beyblades and customizations. It's a nice addition imo.

Details can be thought of / discussed later.

What do you guys think?
But there's authorized dealers for a reason.

And even looking through someone's selling topic and seeing if other people were pleasantly posting, or mad and frustrated in their posts.

Take akirasdaddy for example, a quick look through the posts in his topic make it very clear that he is a great seller.
I understand that, but even authorized dealers too will sometimes have unsatisfied customers, and while some great 'unauthorized' dealers like AD, Oki, wwqqyang are not authorized.

This ranking will give members an even playing field based on their buying/trading/selling performance. This is a member-driven forum anyway. Members will be inclined to provide great prices, fast shipments, prompt communications etc, to earn a good ranking, which in turn, will benefit all.

Besides, what does 'authorized dealer' mean anyway. Would WBO take responsibility for their deals? since it's authorized by WBO? Of course not, it simply means that they are 'recommended'.

cheers.

It means more actually ... Try reading what we wrote when we announced the first Authorized Beyblade Dealers, dimsum2u and theINtoy. It is a lot more complex than saying : "We recommend those sellers."
Kai-V, would you kindly point out where the thread / announcement about authorized dealers?

Anyway, I was just suggesting possibly a positive improvement for WBO. Speaking for myself, I purchased my beys perhaps 40-50% from WBO members, others from local shop / ebay. Looking at the powerhouses in the online retail industries that are member driven (yahoo, ebay, amazon etc) have all adapted this system. I initially thought that it would be a great addition. I apologize if there are complications involved.

I'm just jumping the gun here, but if there's some sort of donations to WBO involved, perhaps it can also be incorporated into the system somehow.

There is no "donation", in a monetary form, involved.
Just rate the sellers thread.
The closest plugin to what you are suggesting is the reputation system. However, there are several issues with it, notably people who would give bad reputation points for nothing, and that would make another thing that we have to moderate. We already tried that system twice for the whole population here, and as you see both times it had to be taken down. There is also no real way to make it be used only for people who sell things, it would be bothersome, again.

Point noted. I was exactly thinking of the same issue. 'How to make it exclusive for purchase/sale' That's why I brought it out in the open, on the chance that you + mods approve of the idea. The few selected programmer wiz can then brainstorm on the technical aspect of it.

Oh well.. Speechless
A WBO discussion forum would be nice. Right now in the General Discussion, we have credit discussion, face discussion, and member discussion. It would be cool to have so we can find topics like quest for quetz more easily. Just any general WBO threads that are misfits from organized play and news would fit into there.
Hmm, can we have the option to show who we are sending a PM to, or which topic we're starting a thread in on our profile? There's always this eagerness to see who you've sent a Pm to is sending a PM to back. WIth sellers like Dimsum, he could be replying to yours, or replying to someone elses.

I think there is a reason for this lack of precision ... People have a right to remain anonymous. Plus, in the case of the topic you are starting, that would mean that somehow the system would already record what you wrote in the thread title while you have not even submitted it yet.
To be able to report threads so they can be closed?

Report the first post of the topic that needs to be closed, like everybody else already does ?
