At the very least, a better effort needs to be made to keep the top tiers list up to date. I haven't checked to see if it's been removed, but the fact vulcan was still there yesterday is enough to make it obvious to me, at least, that there's something wrong with the process.

The next point, as to only advanced members being heard, is that if you read the competitive combo's thread, everything has to be "okayed" by them before adding, usually after long discussions with long breaks between posts. Therefore, that would appear to me, at least, to be where the decision on tiering are being made.

Other than that, is there or is there not an issue with creating threads in the general/customisation sections parallel to those of the advanced forum? If so, then there is a divide between what can and cannot be discussed for certain members. If not, then a few threads need making.

I apologise for my harshness yesterday, though, it was uncalled for, but still, it needed to be said.

It's been removed. I don't think the process is slow at all; we just want to be completely sure when something should be removed/put up - as someone mentioned before, tier-lists are rarely instantaneously updated because organisers wait to see what is actually competitively viable. Although tests and results are very important, there is only so much we can deduce from them.

The competitive customisations thread exists in the Advanced section, so logically only Advanced members can post there. However, I don't see this as any different from when it was in Customisations, since it would have all had to been "okayed" by Brad anyway, as the creator of the thread. If you feel strongly about a customisation and are not already in Advanced, you can present your case in Customisations with test results.

There is no particular issue. In fact, we generally encourage it if you have something constructive to say, and also when test results are needed. We have always agreed that results and specific customisations be posted there. Honestly, apart from a competitive customisations testing thread which is being proposed, nothing else really springs to mind in terms of thread making. What do you suggest?

It was uncalled for, unfortunately, but it's good that everything seems to have simmered down and we can get something positive out of this.

This has been done to death, really; in my opinion, the entire stance of all your arguments implies that an Advanced Forum shouldn't exist at all

EXACTLY! That's just why most people misunderstood the Competitive Combos Thread. Its never gonna be updated everyday you know... A few months back, I said- "What's top tier today, might be outclassed tomorrow". So its not wise to keep on updating the Comp. Combos thread continuously. But yes, I agree that it was heavily dated... Tongue_out

Yes ♥, the thread turned into a battleground. IMO, quite a few people(read: No one) have a problem with the Advanced Forum. The problem is, that certain topics discussed there, need a wider scope of discussion than it actually gets. For example, the most recent explosion out there is the discussion about banning Basalt. The thing is, various people want this matter to be discussed by more number of people. People like th!nk suggested more Advanced Members to solve the problem, while most of us want such a matter to be discussed out of the Advanced Forum. I do understand that both the options are not easy to carry out, but that's just what people want. I don't think anyone feels 'left out', just that they think- "Hey! That's a wrong point being discussed there... I have to post my views, but I can't!"
This is the only problem IMO. I think, if the Admins would allow such topics to be discussed publicly, then it would never lead to such arguments. Yes, it would be hard work, though. If you actually want it to be SPAM-less, then why not keep the thread as strict as the threads of Face Contests? Every useless point will be deleted/warned.
This is entirely my point of view.

I am sorry if I put a spark in a doused flame, but I am just replying to ♥'s post.
Well, we need to discuss the idea of discussing basalt in the customisation/discussion forum, though I posted my full thoughts in random thoughts.

The tier list is improved, though I disagree with the removal of Earth from stamina (I've explained this in the MFB parts tiers list thread),
More marginal things that I would discuss were there a thread to do so: that combo Hero and I posted, well, I could be biased, but I think it belongs under balance there, though it would've been nice if others had tested it Confused Also, MF-H Libra BD145MF, many people have had success with it at tourneys, though again, more testing, I guess, is the reason, so I understand that.
The attack section is still behind the times (MF LLD CH120RF doesn't cut it against a lot of things any more, and there are a few wheels/combo's that I'd argue belong there (MF MLD CH120XF deserved a spot somewhere, though I guess whether it still does is debatable).

To be perfectly honest, I never really liked the idea when it was created, but my main concern is the limited space of opinions there, which is something I don't want to push now because I'm sure it will spark a huge argument.

I felt it needed to be said, and, let's be honest, it's the first time I've got a response in this thread for a while Tongue_out_wink

Other things that need some kinda of reboot: Parts Testing Requests and Potential Competitive Combo's Testing Thread. The latter would resolve a lot were there some way to revive it. The former has been flooded by dumb requests, and tbh the line between the purposes of the two became very, very blurry.
Maybe some kind of extra incentive to those who are helpful testing others requests? I know there are general faces for "contributing" and all that, but something more specific would be nice considering how vital those threads have been in the past and, to be honest, how useful the latter could be as long as this site exists.
But everything you've mentioned is not clear cut, as you've pointed out yourself. You want movement, but even you're not sure about certain things. I don't see how any action can be taken, in that case.

th!nk, we are here to discuss things in a civilised manner. It's not like anything that's gone before this was particularly savoury, with even yourself admitting that you have "nothing to lose"; as a result, I don't think it's particularly sufficient to make assertions about a part of the forum which is particularly contentious at this moment in time without elaborating.

There's this general assumption that Staff don't take members into consideration, and that we do no work. This is so far from the truth. We're not looking for praise, but just perhaps we would appreciate a bit of acknowledgement that we do take on board a lot of ideas. Contrary to popular belief, we can't just implement any and every idea straight away without considering every single possible outcome, so to imply that we ignore everyone is a bit far-fetched.

Dan had already proposed a new competitive customisations thread which will hopefully get done in the next few hours, and I'd already mentioned that in a previous post here. I've never been a huge fan of the Parts Testing thread purely because it's impossible to draw a line between what is perceived as "useless" and "potentially good", but we've let it stay because it seems to help some people. I don't see why we need to offer incentive - a reward for playing Beyblade, really?

The last part of my previous post was a remnant of what I had previously written; I didn't realise it was still there, hence the lack of punctuation and sudden end. Still, I suppose you've confirmed my belief but I don't have anything particularly constructive to add to that.
The only reason I have little more to say is because it has finally been updated.

As for what I said about my suggestions, it's hard to tell if it's being heard if no one responds, whilst other suggestions are responded to.

Do not think I do not value the committee highly, I do, and I've said so plenty of times, but you must understand when I and others don't always agree with how things are done.

I have just got back from work. Maybe I will elaborate when I'm less tired, but I've been told by plenty of people to avoid starting another argument. If you read my posts from yesterday and work through the hubris, you can probably work out what I mean, though, and it's not really something that hasn't been confirmed by what other committee members have said in the same discussion :\

As for incentive, considering testing is now 20 rounds, which can get a bit dull at times, and it's testing other peoples combo's, it's not really all about fun in that case, tbh. A lot of people seem to get "testing fatigue", so that's another indication that it isn't just fun (when I have fun battles I only do a few rounds). 10 rounds was easy, but note that after the minimum of 20 became a standard (and one which I strongly agree with), the activity in those threads dropped off to near-nothing. As much as correlation =/= causation, it seems a reasonable assumption to me.

And, usually the main reason things aren't added to the tier list is "not enough testing", another indication that more incentive is needed :\

Also, maybe you guys should consider being a little less uptight with rewards in general... A more common face obviously isn't going to carry the same weight as a lapiz-lazuli face or whatever (I forget). :\
I suggest there be a rule added in to convey that users should not blatantly hit on other users via PM. It's very creepy when I get PMs from 13 year old boys who really don't get the idea that I will never be into males and I am significantly older than they.

If a user should do that, it should be off the website entirely.
...That scares me. Beyond belief. Frankly, some person actually E-malied me to do the same. They were banned for stupid posts later, but still, it weirds me out some.
I mean, it's one thing if I PM Momiji Manji professing my undying love for him and plans to have a tournament at our wedding with Dan as our flower girl and Th!nk as our Priest, but that's because they realize that is accompanied by immense sarcasm and probably a lot of laughing on my end. It's a completely different story when some stranger does this.
Dan...as a flower girl? MUST...SEE...Must...Attend... I can't see Th!nk as a priest. I just...can't, he'd yell at anyone who interrupts, and eventually snap.

Anyway, I see what you're saying. It's like: Erm... I don't really know you. I mean, there are some members here that I'd trust, but... It's just weird to see PMs like that.
can we have some sort of serious buyer rule.Lately i've had a few members asking for a price on a certain items and a after a few days no reply at all, even on tracking, it says they havent even read it. Its a waste of my time and i find it anoying, fair enough when they actually say I can't except or something but to completely ignore it is fustrating and i get sick off it.Like if someone hasn't replyed in ____ of days, we forward it to mod to look at the case.

I don't see how this is something we can enforce rigidly; what if they have an emergency, etc.?

That's why I tell everyone to post questions in the thread and then offer in PMs. I also tell them that, if they offer, they should already have the money ready.

Anyone who is not serious about buying will not read what I wrote in the thread and try to PM me questions, at which point, I ignore because if they are not committed to reading, they are not committed to buying.

Wow. Well said!

I agree 100%. If they really wanted to buy, then they would take the time to read the post. However, what it's just coincidence; say, they get their computer taken away or get grounded?

yeah but in most cases they still are online, like sent on the 20, replyed on 21, 1 week later last visit 28th so they still have been online but dont bother replying. what isay i that we have certain mods for certain things likecomitee members do the beypoint system and we can have differnent mods for different things, like someoneto take care of the beymarket sytem, someone for the pm system ect. and also we can have someone review the specific case
It says at the top of the beymarketplace to use it at your own risk. It's more of a choice on your part on how you conduct business. Just be more strict about it.
I think we should have a system of 'Liking' posts. It doesn't have to be Like, but maybe it could be called the LOL button (with a little bey pic)
This way we could see responses to our post without people derailing the threads.

EDIT: 200th POST!! OH YEAH
But then we'd se those people who "Like" stupid posts, and we'd all get frustrated.

I agree completely. Other than that, the feature is kinda pointless.
Just think, is it really gonna get some improvement to WBO?
It'll be a nuisance, IMO.
the beyblade company who makes them should have stores of beyblades not like toy r us or other stores only a store full of beyblade because beyblade is becoming famous people want to buy only the beyblade parts not the whole entire beyblade if there were stores like i say i would go every day i mean a store like in the cartoon like.....madoka's store full of beyblade and beyblade parts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......is just a suggestion

This is for suggestions on this site, this organisation. Keep your suggestions for Hasbro to yourself ... Unfortunately they will never happen.
Ok so. I would like to say that we should have an option of choosing a Face Booster or a Passport for the first $10. What if a Passport is of no use in my area (no tournaments)? I know that you can enter in passport only contests, but still it should be on the user's choice.
Mostly, people wants the face, not the offer with it.
AND its the mods and admin who decides about what to offer.
There is Brad Day, plus now monthly giveaways ... You would sacrifice all those chances for a mere normal Face ?
I'd also suggest the like feature and also maybe a dislike feature which members could use on spam posts to show they are not appreciated.

Edit: Or a Rep feature.
