There are no better beyblade forums, or even ones that are close. I'd hate to sound full of myself (which wouldn't even e the case, since I didn't make the forum, nor am I part of the committee), but there really is no rival to the WBO. A bad design won't deter people if the sites good, and that's not even the case here, since the design is nice.
It's still secondary to the content. If users are going to look elsewhere entirely because they feel how this site looks (and it's one of the nicer looking forums I've seen tbh) then honestly, they're not the sort of person I'm too sad to not have. There are a massive number of far more important things to focus on at the moment.

Totally agree with Dual and Th!nk. IMHO what on the WBO, at the moment, needs more attention is the security of the board. The WBO has no rival in its field, the WBO is the most important forum of beyblade for ages, if you see around the web you will never see, even remotely, a forum about beyblade which satisfies you with its contents well as the WBO do.

@Th!nk, Kujikato, ah ok! Mh, Kai-V so it is quite strange that your firefox see rounded corners, are you sure that you haven't accidentaly set a ruleset in the browser?

There is a MyBB plugin that would notify you if someone quoted your post, and you can always subscribe to threads, but there is always a risk that whoever replied in the topic totally ignored you and is commenting on something else.
In any case, the activity on the forums is not nearly as difficult to keep up with as in 2012, so you should be able to simply stay on the index and refresh to see if anybody replied. When we go into another 'boom' though, I will definitely consider it.

From a previous answer: You could do several things (and should be doing more then one) including:
1) Putting a fake field that only bots will see. Then if that field is submitted with the rest of the form you can ignore it (and ban them if desired). You can also trap bad bots who follow a hidden link.
2) Use a CAPATCHA like reCAPTCHA
3) Use a field that requires the user to answer a question like what is 5 + 3. Any human can answer it but a bot won't know what to do since it is auto-populating fields based on field names. So that field will be either incorrect or missing in which case the submission will be rejected.

6) Use Askimet. It is great at identifying spam.

Somebody else on that site mentioned that while using some of these techniques may not permanently rid us of spammers, it could at least deter many from spamming here as opposed to some other, more easily targetable site.
We already tried CAPTCHA, only Administrators can create multiple accounts from the same IP address, and we do have Askimet.
We could try the mathematics question, but otherwise I have no idea what they are talking about in terms of token.
Is the multiple account thing something new? When unregistered players show up at tournaments or a relative/friend of mine wants to play, I usually just let them make an account on my computer...
Is it the same IP address you used when you registered ? Either it changed, or you have a dynamic IP address.
It might be email addresses that are mostly proscribed from registering multiple times, since I just looked through our registration features again ... It also looks like adding a mathematics question will be harder than I thought, not to mention that apparently people do not recommend such a question since bots can bypass that as well ...

The WBO Hall of Fame should be Bladers who have proven themselves in either superb Battling skills, testing, and other things. Has the WBO ever considered making a page in dedication for those Bladers?
