I would like to have some feedback from the Commitee for my format idea. I'm looking to increase WBO Events to an other level and get more bladers around the worlds in the organization.
Definitely a super cool idea. I am going to mess around with it solo for sure. Thanks
Thanks to you! i'm glad to see it was appreciated and interesting.
Sorry, I don't feel qualified to comment due to my poor knowledge of MFB :') I think in this case the community feedback might be more important than ours.
probably but commitee create format so I thought they are more confident to say if its something to work on or to much to considered etc.. at now some of the community are a bit interested. Actually Team Format isn't that popular and not everyone have tried it so may be the concept may not understand to well. anyway. it's my first big idea that I showed to the community hah!
I would say that the fact that it's a team format made me shy away from it for now, since the team format we have is basically dead. Maybe when Burst takes off internationally, we can look at how to make team play more exciting and strategic. But since your format is for MFB, I'm not sure that's reassuring Unhappy Sorry.
yeah I know its a little late idea tough! hah! But I tried some years to create a tag team format but the committee create the Team Format of three bladers. its a quick more difficult in certain region to do it because they don't have enough bladers like Toronto have. being a Tag Team(2 bladers) its a little more easier to make an event has Team format. its my opinion on that. I think it could be more used if its paired to two bladers unless three. in addition to that, Zero-G look-like anime Event. I think most of the community has appreciated the idea behind Zero-G anime.

I have a new game play(new format) to suggest. Its based on the Zero-G series but could be interesting tough!
ps: sorry for translation if you missunderstand some thing I used Google Translator to translate all the concept hah!

Synchrome Tag Team

-this is a format that is played in teams of 2 people.
-each person has during the "registration" recorded his top for the tournament and his teamates.
- The players have only the right to use a Chrome Wheel and Crystal Wheel for their combo. all other parts (Track, Tip, Metal Stone Face) are accepted.
-the games are in 3 rounds of 3 to 5.
- Each players play their round with their combo chosen.
- 3rd round Synchrome turn, this should include the 2 chrome wheel and one of the 2 track and tip their respective combo. Then select the player who played with the Synchrome.

what is more complex is the level of strategy has since thought has its own combo (limited, Chrome Wheel + Crystal Wheel) in addition to thinking about the combination of the two players. so it must somehow created this strong 2 beys independently but is also strong when the synchrome.

all will be playing either in a BB-10 Stadium or Zero-g

pointing aside for beypoint system will be somewhat complex, I think, but maybe not if you saw that works similar to Team currently operates its size could be done I think.

Give me your feedback and Hope it will be a new format to try soon!
Love love love this idea! I like how your proposed format forces the player to use more strategy than the typical Beyblade match and requires them to have some competitive knowledge as to the functionality of Beyblade combinations, instead of just copying the top tier list. I also think a crystal wheel-only format (at least in part) is long overdue! It would be awesome if you could organize an experimental side tournament sometime soon, so we could get an idea of whether or not your idea would work in practice.
Yes I could try to figure it out with my Region to do a test! I will ask to my community for a special try-out.
I like your idea. It seems like it would be a fun system to incorporate into competitive play. I think you should be able to allowed to change the combo because than one will know the tournament's results before it even begins xD. Also like Supreme One said there should have been a format for non synchrome zero g combos a long time ago. Hope this format with some tweaks gets approved, just as the Team Format eventually became official!
Nothing could be predictable if all players got their own custom all long the tournament. its fair and square for all players. you have to registered your combo at the registration time before the tournament. the only person who knows the combo of all players is the host himself. no one would know what you got to play until you play the first time after what it does nothing because you can't change your combo during the tournament. now the importance of the teamates. he can help you to win against a type of blader you can't beat yourself with your bey. and for the round with synchrome you have enough possibilities to surprise your opponent. you got two tracks and two tips. the team if their wise enough could do a big surprise to their opponent.
I was showing off the WBO to one of the guys at this advertising firm I'm interning at the other day and we were both kind of taken aback by how much information the title page throws at unregistered users. I was just trying to show him the Upcoming Events box on the mainpage, but we actually missed it in our fast scrolling, ha ha.

Tournaments are definitely the WBO's greatest source of revenue and arguably its most important service, so I don't really think it's fair or even makes sense that official tournaments only get a tiny box off to the side on the front page and another link that's pretty far down the page. I really think the title page ought to have a lot less text and put some more focus on tournaments, plus maybe a little basic information on Beyblade for new players or strangers to the game just casually browsing.

I think another thing we ought to do is remove the Calendar and Map links from the bar below the banner and put one in their places that reads "Upcoming Tournaments," which would lead to basically the same map page, but include a list of upcoming events in a box like that of the stores and nearby tournaments already on the page.

Never noticed it until I went to that advertising group and saw some of the websites they're working on for some of their clients, but this site's really starting to show its age... No offense, Brad, lol. The forums still look great, imo, but I just think the information on the front page could be organized better.
I think its a good suggestion. I never notice that before you tell it, I have browsed this website since a long time so I didn't really realize it hah!
@[Angry Face], thanks for your observations! We are actually already considering new ways to promote and organize events. And yes, the forum is beginning to show its age a little bit. So, your comments are definitely in line with what we are working on in one way or another. Some aspects of it are technically quite complicated due to the nature of all of the data that could/should be associated with our events/organized play and is currently fragmented (for example, the lack of a link between tournament threads and the upcoming events box or BeyMap unless we manually create it). What we also want to do with the new BeyPoint System with regards to automation and potentially separate rankings per Format is also interconnected ... so all I can say is to please wait. Smile
Definitely no offense taken. If you've seen my other MyBB site, you'll see that my ideas on how a forum should be designed have changed a lot since the WBO: http://harajuju.net

The WBO won't look like that, of course. But modernizing the user experience is high on my list of priorities.
Dude that site looks sweet.
Indeed, the WBO's layout and such should be changed for newer generations of users.
Not only that, it should be somewhat optimised for phones, but one can only hope Grin
Any chance of us upping I believe the term is dpi of the rest of the faces to go with the burst ones? My burst ones are making the rest of them jealous.
Yes! Side by side the others look 8-bit.
Eventually. We are aware, guys. Smile
Several months ago I asked Kai-V about making the site use-able with Tapatalk. Is there any way we could get this done? It would really help with posting on the go.
We're likely to focus instead on making our site mobile-friendly.

This idea works too. Having a full-on mobile version of the site would work just as good and I could easily set the bookmark as a widget on my home screen.
Ever heard of Xenforo? It's a great website host with great layouts.

Would it be okay if I printed off flyers and posted them places to try to draw attention to possibly hosting tournaments/raising awareness of beyblade in my area? I live in the Fayetteville North Carolina area, and the closest semi-active competitive area is in Raleigh, about 50 miles away. Me being 15, and not having a car yet, is troublesome on my grandparents, and they wouldn't approve of me going a long distance to do it, as I'd have to pay for gas money, they would think I'm immature, etc. So would it be alright?

I think any form of advertising is ok, as long as it's within legal limits.
So I was thinking maybe we should replace the Big Bang Pegasus sprites with some new Valkyrie sprites? And maybe keep the Big Bang Pegasus one for MFB forums and have a Dragoon S representing the Plastics and HMS forums?
Just a thought.
