Maybe you're overreacting. I doubt that she'd misunderstand that your parents said no. Also, your mom needs a break SOMETIMES (Assuming you meant her when you said "Out with her boyfriend"), so it shouldn't be blown out of proportions. Also, if you don't want to lie then tell the truth. Yeah, it must suck, though. I'll say that.

I see nobody read my post on trying not to gossip ... This is for boyfriends and girlfriends. If she has a boyfriend, she is not your girlfriend.
Actually, I think this could be a good start to straighten up this thread more : post if you have a girl- or boyfriend, not if you are trying to get one or whatever. Surely this could bring a better quality of posts, no matter what the opening post says because the conjunctures are quite different between then and now.
Well, it is related about love no? I go to this thread for answers. It has some pretty experienced lovers and advice. But I get what you're saying and I respect that. :<

And after prolonged exposure to the specific mixture of chemicals, your brain gets a bit bored with it and decides it's time to watch television.
That's when the effort of maintaining the relationship is fully on you, and that's typically when most relationships fail. Without being lovedrunk, most teenagers just cannot manage a meaningful relationship. It's a sorry fact, but the experience does help later.
Also, as for chocolate, if you're looking for a little happiness in food, extremely dark chocolate(70%+) of high quality is what you want to shoot for, in case anyone was wondering.

No, you really don't know the difference. Very, very few people in this thread do - and that's normal. There is nothing in the water in your area that makes people grow more intelligent or more emotionally mature faster. You could be the most emotionally advanced twelve year old alive and still not fathom the actual concept of a real relationship, or its consequences on your life, the life of your partner, and your emotional status.
You're not some love savant, you're just level-headed enough not to get too invested yet. You will, someday, look back on every relationship you had in these formative years and consider them in a much different light.
Don't get ahead of yourself. Letting yourself keep thinking you're "more mature than normal 12 year olds" is a cocky way to get the reality train slammed into your forehead.
...and, I'm really not sure what your mom's friends saying you should be a politician is supposed to contribute to your statement. That's like saying "BUT MY MOM SAYS I'M HANDSOME" when someone calls you unattractive.
i'm not trying to say 'i'm amazing take that!' I mean that I know that you shouldn't think that every relationship you're in is love, it's clearly not. and i'm not saying I think i'm more mature than other 12 year olds, but like my cousins and that are always saying i'm less interesting, because I don't get hyper and that. It gives us something more to talk about - and inexperienced users can come to people who do have experience, for advice, criticism, or just a nice conversation about whatever romantic is going on in their lives.

You wait for her response en proper, without nagging her about it. If she says yes, you take her out for a respectful dinner, a nice movie perhaps, etc. and don't try anything funny the entire evening. Don't be too serious about it, but still treat her very respectfully.

Right now my boyfriend, John, and I are doing amazing. It's been almost 3 months now and we still have a really good and balanced relationship. Sure we've gotten into a few fights, but what relationship doesn't? I just wish we had more classes together than Biology haha
