I really don't know where this kinda attitude is going to take you.
I'm NOT trying to be rude jeez Tired. Honestly. I'm TRYING to help them, moving on and finding someone else is a GREAT option ESPECIALLY after what Sparta's ex did to him Tired.

Away from drama? In a better direction?

That's kind of rude...
How is it rude? It's true. It's not a divorce from marriage; it's puppy love. If I can get over my first girlfriend (keep in mind, I'm 21 and this relationship was fairly recent, which makes everything harder IMO) within like, two weeks, after breaking up with her, I'm pretty sure these guys can move on just fine. At least their ex's don't try to stalk them afterward to the point where you need to file for an order or protection. Uncertain

Akylus has made one of the most intelligent remarks of this thread. You can't seriously expect more than casual dating between ages 10-15. In fact, I would not expect dating period at those ages.
He does have a point. I got talking with my ex, and we both feel the same about the whole friend thing. We both just wanna go back to how we were up until the day we started going out. She said she'd be my friend as long as I'd be hers. This made me pretty happy today. Smile I'm also starting to get over it, I'm just missing the hugs right now, but I'll be fine. Tongue_out She's an awesome friend to have. Smile

Speaking of hugs, I gave one of my friends a hug last night (She's really cute, too. ^^) and she kinda bit my shirt sleeve by mistake. XD (She's shorter than me, so you can probably figure out how that happened)
Thank you Deikailo. I've gone through THREE break ups, first one, got upset, second not a lot of emotion, and third, I really didn't give a flying flip Tired. IT'S PART OF LIFE PEOPLE. I think I was the only MALE member who made an ENTIRLY intelligent post in this ENTIRE thread after seeing what I saw from the males of the community who posted in this thread, I was pretty shocked because I thought I was the ONLY socially immature member on here Tired.
Hey! Shabalabadoo made a pretty intelligent post. Haha.
Which page?!

I actually was being sarcastic.
Nice job on the sarcasm (I'm returning the sarcasm).
Well, I'm experiencing somewhat of a dilemma. I go to an all-boys high school. However, I'm in Marching Band, so I am able to meet with girls from our two sister schools. Now, here lies the problem. I have, as my family uses the term, "the hots" for one of the Color Guard girls. And she's a sophomore. Therefore, unapproachable to a freshman like myself. I know that in some of the earlier pages, someone (To, I believe?) posted that a message board for spinning tops is not a place to ask relationship (or lack thereof) advice. But, I will anyway. Suggestions as to what I should do? And no, I will not ask her anyway. *fretfretfret*

Just be friends with her? You know, do some group activities with your friends and her friends, get chummy with her and eventually ask her out? Iunno, it's a good ice breaker to be friends, but don't stay friends for too long or else you get friendzoned.

THE FRIEND ZONE IS AN EVIL PLACE IF YOU HAVE FEELINGS FOR SOMEONE (starts playing horror music, which is the complete opposite of the song currently being played on Youtube at my house right now XD).
I've been friendzoned too many times.
I hate it :\

What is this "friend" of which you speak? <--sorry, band joke.

Well, that might be just as difficult. During performances, I don't get within 10 feet of her, and there is nowhere else that I know she is. hmm ... Band competitions might be a good place for that, though.

And, what is friendzoning?
Friendzone is where you will never be more than friends. It is exactly what it sounds like.
An imaginary place where someone puts you. While in there, there is no possibility of romance, and they will think of you as a friend or brother. As someone on the internet once said; You get all the burdens of being their boyfriend, and none of the rewards".
If you have time after the practice, just talk to her. Say "Hey. Nice to meet you. I'm Odin" also, cracking a joke here and there will help to loosen the tension. Like, say something cliche like "Nice job on the trumpet. You're very...trumetish. Trumpitidydumpity." Say it smiling so she knows your not serious.

Everyone's different, but that usually works for me.
It's that moment when you realize that she'll never see you as anything but a brother, and not a would be lover.

Edit: Jeeze, you darn ninjas. Don't you have some streets in the UK to patrol?

Odin, please don't say this.

Ten feet is close enough. Just try to catch her attention, make eye contact and smile at her, but don't be a creeper about it. 90% of what you communicate is done with body language so let that be enough until you feel comfortable enough to pass notes.

I have no idea if this would work because I don't like making an effort like this. Still, it's probably worth a shot, especially if you don't like going too fast.
, awww...well, it works for me, anyways. Maye because I'm a known weirdo? Uncertain

Ugh, just go with what Dei said. She's older, and knows way more about this than I do.

Why not? It seems perfectly reasonable to me. (Joking!) Never been friendzoned, due to my unsurprising lack thereof, but I'm guessing it sucks.
I do play trumpet, though ... but I won't say that. And thanks, ya'll. I'll try this Thursday.
Good luck, man.

If I do know more, it's not by much because I am speaking based on the experiences of other men, not my own. Being gay, I am roughly 90% more likely be rejected by another girl so I don't see it as worth it.
I just want to know, has anyone here been labelled as "gay", or "lesbian" for not having an immediate interest in dating at a certain age? My elementary school friends were about thirteen when they considered dating and when I (obviously) was the one to know better- someone just had to be political and label me (thus anyone else) for not being interested in dating. This is why so many fear Americas current society now.

EDIT: Also, being an indoors-kid (read: at home alone, a lot), there is nothing to support their narrow views at all.
