Ahh! I'm a failure! I had it all set up! I saw there was a showing for the green lanturn movie, and when I asked if she had seen it she said she hadn't. Then I got nervous And just changed the subject. Ugh I'm an idiot. What should I do?
YOU ARE AN IDIOT.

Just ask her to it, say, you know how I mentioned the green lantern movie yesterday, did you want to go see it?

Or something better than that, I suck at asking people out Tongue_out

No, you're right. The problem is I'm worried I might studder and screw up again. And I just realized, I haven't told my parents about this whole movie thing. They might not even let me go!
They will. Ask your dad though, they usually understand better Wink

Ask them tonight, and ask her tomorrow. Nothing is better than doing it, even if she were to say no, believe me, it's an experience, and it gets easier each time. Seriously, MAN UP
you're right th!nk. if she says no, deal with it and man up. even if you studder Sparta no big deal. lots of people do. (besides when i asked a girl out) don't mind what i wrote but what i'm saying is don't stress. think over what you want to say. if you do studder at least you had the courage to ask her out

That's a good point, too. Definitely the right call.
Success! I asked the girl from Anime Club out during the meeting at noon today, and she said yes! Gah, I'm still in total disbelief! I will now go try to find some decent clothing for next Saturday. (Is it normal for the girl to suggest places like the Harold Washington Library? It's a library, so I'm kinda wary. Though she did seem excited, so I'll just stop worrying about it before I screw up, as I inevitably tend to do.) Hah, that's why I didn't post from about 12 to, like, 2 p.m. My older brother doesn't necessarily like the girl, so he gave me this "You poor fool..." look, so I chewed him out later.

Exactly what Happened: I asked to talk to her, and began explaining that I liked someone from the Anime Club, noting that we had a lot in common, she was nice, and that I'd been talking to her for a long time. (Got this idea from Tony Dungy's book, and figured that I could do it better. Of course, I couldn't.) After about ten minutes, I finished talking. She thought for a while, and said "So...you like ____(Name excluded)?" I'm like: "Huh? Erm... No." She goes: "Ah, so it's ____(Name again excluded.)?" Me:"...I don't even talk to her often! Okay, maybe I wasn't very clear. I was describing YOU." *Awkward moment passes* I'm thinking: "Oh, damn. I'm gonna get rejected again." Then, oh geez, this is so cliche, she goes: "Well, I was wondering when you were gonna ask, you idiot!" I'm scratching my head, going "Is that a yes?" It was, and we had quite a bit of fun while we were at the library waiting for rides after the meeting. Geez, that seems like something out of a book, doesn't it? I'm trying to find out how it happened myself.
good for you. go have fun at the library. (sort of a wierd place)
Hah. Yeah it's kinda weird, but hey, who am I to complain? Besides, I'm kinda glad, I'm broke at the moment, considering I usually pay for my books for school, and we have a HUGE list for next year.
sucks
Good for you, mega.

Just asked, and she said yes! We're going to see transformers!
Nice, Sparta. Hope you have fun, you crazy kids (Cliche TV reference)
awesome sparta. oh ya make sure she likes action and human-decepticon relationships. (i made a transformers funny)

You have to pay for your books! We have a three year rental scheme for ours, which means we keep the same book for three years, accept for Religion and Business Studies/French, depending on which of latter you give up, or even both.

BTW: Congrats Sparta

HOLY MOLY MAJOLY MAN! THATS INCREDIBLE! I am so, so, so happy for you. That's AMAZING. For the record, that line/method doesn't usually work though (at least for me). Totally, totally awesome man, congratulations!
I'm slightly more interested in not accidentally tripping and falling on my face as I'm oddly prone to doing around girls. Though, yeah, I didn't see thing panning out that way, I guess I got lucky. Surprisingly, I didn't stutter...until people from Anime Club overheard and began talking about it. Woe is my privacy. (And to think I thought I could make it out of the place without having to deal with her older sister... Deluded, I was.)
Seriously dude, who cares about what people say. The best way is just to not give a carp about them Tongue_out

Aint even kidding bro, that's basically the way everyone dreams of it panning out, it's actually super-cool to hear it happen.

Bisexual? You can say that here. Even so, bisexuality is normally a phase at your age. They generally pick a gender by college.

My bisexual phase lasted like, 6 months. It was mostly because I thought homosexuality was an insult rather than an actual occurance. Sex ed REALLY needs to start covering that more because I already knew half of the stuff they covered, yet I was blown away when I first heard that people could actually be attracted to the same gender. Go figure.

I had a similiar situation, but it was on a larger scale. Some girls never change and if they do, it takes a few years. Uncertain It's a good thing you recognized that she was taking advantage of you. Some people will just accept it.

Maybe they dont cover it cause they want it to be secret >.> *cough* all the lil boys who will go crazy once they hear about it *cough*
Really I have no girlfriend. You guys are very lucky, sharing stuff with each other, spending time at movie theaters together, a lot of gossip with each other etc. Those are really nice. Truly I would like to congratulate everyone here to carry on their dates.

Actually, the members were relatively happy, I just caught a bit of flak for being broke. They offered to pay for me, but I turned them down, not wanting to be a burden. Of course, my life was threatened if I tried anything "funny". Seeing as how the girl's sister is 19, I'm not gonna mess with her.

i know people who would say "True that!" because that is all I would hear from 7th graders on my bus for what they would do after school.
