It's been a week since my girlfriend and I have been going out. Not that big of a deal, but I'm happy Smile

You're twelve. Not that big of an age or maturity gap between eleven.
Well, making a point.

I hate love. It twists people and makes them do crazy, stupid things.

Having said that, my girlfriend in GA just broke up with me, so that may have put me in a bad mood. Oh well, guess I'll go ogle cute girls in my yearbook for some comfort...
My boyfriend had a couple of lines on the last episode of General Hospital and i'm suuper proud of him. He's on call for background work for the show, and is on there semi-regularly with that, but seldom has lines.

He did well.

My girlfriend broke up with me yesterday. She said it was awkward dating a good friend. Luckily we still hang out together Smile
Wow... I feel kinda sad now. I just spent the last few months moping because I decided to pool my manhood and ask a girl I like to dance at homecoming. Of course, she said a flat no. In fact, if I recall, she claimed she was going to dance with another guy I know, and ran off to go find him. It turned out he hadn't come. I sat outside for about three hours staring at a wall. I really wanted to cry, but I didn't to make it seem like I was indifferent. Of course, I figured that it's just my bad luck, but everyone has these issues eventually. I'm trying to decide to try again or move on. It's summer, so I may just move on and ask out a girl that's normally in Anime Club for next year, but that could be awkward, since we've been friends for four years now. To this day, I ask "What the hell was I thinking, asking that girl?" She barely noticed that I existed, let alone actually talked to me. It's really kinda sad, I played football, and still can't get a dance at Homecoming. I felt pretty fail. And of course everyone on the dance floor heard, so I was ridiculed later on that week. I'm used to it, though. It's happened every year since 6th grade, but I'm really too stubborn to change myself for anyone. Funny, but the girl I was epicly rejected by, and the girl I'm thinking about asking now have the same first name... Odd how that works out, isn't it?

I think you should move on. If she didn't want to date you, then it's her loss. You should forget her and move on to someone who respects you.

And me? I'm still only on the third page of pictures, still dreaming about almost all of them ^^.........

In any case, my point is still valid. Love hurts people (prime example). It's not a game, and shouldn't be treated like one.

Apparently, friendship relationships are said to never work (blame dating magazines). I disagree. At the dinner dance a few nights ago, I slow danced with a girl I've known my whole life. She says she doesn't like me, and I'm looking at her yearbook picture right now.

Is this really required, if you're responding to a person that posted this in January?

Agreed, wouldn't that be considered reviving old posts?

=best that happens to people a lot. Just because to people are friends and are of the opposite gender doesn't necessarily mean they are 'flirting' or 'hitting on each other'. I have lots of friends that are girls, but that doesn't mean I want to date them. A date should be someone who shares a lot in common with you. Yes, I get the whole "opposites attract" thing, but that only applies to magnets. In real life, people will, over time, be closer and be able to be themselves around others who are like them. If you are a happy, outgoing person, would you want a friend who is emo and anti-social? It's the same with relationships. Also, you be able to talk to the person freely, without worry. If you're nervous around the person or find you have trouble talking to them, then it's probably just infatuation.
Funny, but it recently hit me that when I was asking that girl, I had no idea what being in a relationship meant. It was purely a status symbol to ask, and now I look stupid. While I hang out with girls often, it's mainly the ones from Anime Club, so I don't really understand the "popular" girls anyway. In fact, they kinda bug me. They fall all over the stupidest guys around, but the guy on the bench is ignored. In the end, who cares about my high GPA, and who cares that the head cheerleader's boyfriend has a 0.5. They don't really care, so why should I? I've been told to change my image so often, but now, hell no! If people think I'm a nerd, well they can kiss my magic carp. (No, not Magikarp.) I mean, why should I have to change my image because you don't like it? If you don't like how I look, turn around. They insist on calling me goofy, a nerd, and just plain lame, but the times I manage to sneak into the starting lineup, they don't remember that. Well, as a famous rapper once said: "Well, I don't remember you." So no, I won't be kissing every girl on the cheerleading squad, thank you. In fact, I'm more likely to flip you off. That's been my attitude lately, and while most people don't get it, I do. In fact, my dad just said "You need to change you image if you want a girlfriend." I yawned. I really don't care. I'm gonna ask one girl, but then I'm done. Besides, a lot of the girls at my school are kinda conceited and, well, rude. All they want to talk about is sex, and I'm always the one who says, "You do realize that we're in 9th grade, right?" So I'm done with the girls at my school. I always hoped that I would meet someone who was the opposite of that, and had a lot in common with me. It turns out, that person sits next to me in Anime Club. And has been for four years. I'm glad I realized this now.
You want a relationship til you're in it, then you realise it's not really what you were thinking of. But after a while I get bored and go back to wanting one, and so the cycle begins again.
I feel terrible about it, because sometimes I end up hurting people doing so, but oh well, what can I do?
(Jun. 23, 2011  1:59 AM)shotz Wrote: [ -> ]heh i just asked out the girl of my dreams and she said yes im so happy now. so i can know give advice
Being in a relationship doesn't make you an expert on love.

But congratulations all the same. I wish you two the best.
- You make a really good point. I remember I was friends with a "popular" girl (she was actually smart and nice, though) and her "group" kicked her out for some reason, showing how stupid and jerkish those populars can be.

Good luck with that girl in Anime Club, by the way.
Yup, for the most part, high school isn't all it's cracked up to be. But I'll survive. It's kinda like one of those "Girl Next Door" situations. I'm glad that I put two and two together and got four, because I constantly got 5 or 6. I spent years chasing after popular girls, and always talked to her when I got shot down. She would usually tell them off, knowing that she'd be ridiculed. In fact, one day this year, I said. "You're pretty odd, you know that?" Her response was "If you didn't know that already, you're an idiot." Seeing as I'm kinda weird too, it seems that's just another thing we have in common. She's also the only girl I know that says "Come at me, bro.". Hilarious.

It's good to find someone with similar interests like you, because your more likely to get along with them. Someone who's not like you will find it difficult to level with you and talk to you. You should be able to treat a girlfriend like a friend, only closer.

Well, you can't date someone you don't know anything about...
