I don't think I ever ran into that sword guy while we were on opposite teams. However, I was in a squad with Captain America for a while, and I shot the Grim Reaper a few times.
Visible in the picture are Captain America's boots and a little of his body and shield (on the left), zombie Waldo (the brightly colored beanie; she stopped wearing the whole costume because it got really hot), a handful of knights and swordsmen, and one guy with a pilot's cap and morph suit (no idea what that is for). Not pictured are the Grim Reaper (with scythe), Slenderman, Sadness (from Inside Out), several zombies, Link, Frodo Baggins, and a Grunt (from Halo). I'm sure there were several others also in costume, but people started abandoning them pretty fast, because it's hard to sprint all over the place while in full cosplay mode.

It's just NOT good. The stadium is pretty cool, but I couldn't hate the BeyWarriors more. They spin horribly, and the battles are like to people spinning around while slapping each other with fish. It just doesn't feel as exciting, and has a WAY less powerful feel that regular Beys.

While I listen to a lot of different genres of music (my favorites are alternative and rap/hip-hop) I listen pretty much exclusively to music in English. Personally, I feel like I can't appreciate the music in its entirety if I can't understand the language the artist is speaking in, and even if I could there are often slang terms or double meanings that would be lost to me. It definitely makes me understand the appeal of Electronic/Instrumental/Classical music though since in those genres there usually aren't lyrics that would get lost in translation.

The appeal of Dir en grey is exactly that. Even when the frontman sings in English, you have no idea what he is saying, but because he puts an immense amount of intonation in his singing and that the music brilliantly backs it up, you definitely get what emotions the song is supposed to convey. Personally, nothing in English or French comes even close to sending out such strong messages. And clearly, nothing else that I know of in Japanese either.
And when I do delve into translations seldom, I either still do not understand the poem as a whole, or it just makes me admire the singer and/or the song even more.

Yeah, metal in general is a genre where you can't really understand the words anyway. lol. As long as the vocalist can sing, scream and/or growl (preferably all 3) well and the guitar riffs and drums are fast and skilled then i'm down. Not my favorite type of music, but it's definitely right up there, prolly my second favorite genre.

Being a former musician myself, I don't really care about the language. I feel that music is universal due to the fact that there is much more to a song than just the words. The intonation, the tone of voice, there's so much a singer can do to convey what they mean that it is enjoyable even without understanding what the words mean. The voice is truly an instrument of its own.

Intonation and tone are basically what tells you what the artist wants you to know, the lyrics round it off. For example, Diver from Tricot is a pretty emotional song and you can hear how melancholy it is throughout, but it's also a little hopeful sounding.
But once you put it in context with the lyrics, you realize that the feelings you get from the lyrics already match the feelings the song originally gave you. Not always, but often. This song was especially nice because it's actually their bassist who is singing.
Quote:I was seeing an unpleasant dream
Like crawling out of a cave, I woke up this morning
Aahh I feel sleepy
I raise up my heavy lower back,
My hands reached to my shoelaces
Untying its bonds
I’m alright
So that I won’t make any mistakes
I dive into the shining light
While we exchanged looks, it has certainly
Reached rightfully to you
I reminisced that time
It was so radiant inside the box
The humidity wraps around my body
Ahh it’s warm
Life is unexpectedly not that bad
It’s just a simple labyrinth with some leisure time
No need to hurry up
So that I won’t make any mistakes
I dive into the shining light
While we exchanged looks, I have certainly
Connected rightfully to you
I dive into a dream in which I can only see inside my fading consciousness
Diver
I didn't read the description, but given the age I'd be weary and take someone who knows a little about guitars. Instruments need to be treated well or they won't age well and it will affect the sound.
Recently I have been getting back into origami. I'm taking a Japanese Raku class at my college, but I have never taken any ceramics classes before so I basically suck at forming the clay. To counter this, I am currently experimenting with making origami and cover them with clay. The paper will burn away during the initial firing and then it will leave me with a fragile shell to glaze before putting it in the final fire. I haven't folded properly in years but I've been enjoying this so much that I picked up a pack of washi paper the other day
