SonoKong's new Beyblade replica : TOP PLATE!!

Ok, here's my two cents.
The plates themselves, while they add another element that requires skill, are just a useless gimmick they added so as to not resemble beyblade or battle strikers too closely. The tweezers are a very cool feature, and require practice to master. If I get one of these, I'll use the plate for cheese.

What is this replying too, me, UGottaCetus or Tri...?

If its to UGottaCetus, I agree with him.
The handplate requires more skill, and adds variety and uniqueness to the game. I think its pretty pointless, but hey.

Being a good blader does depend a lot on the gear/parts you own... Your not going to win with a Thunder Libra.

But, this is the Top Plate thread, not the argument about Beyblade thread- if your going to argue with anyone, just PM.
ugh I was replying to Ugottacetus but when I was replying it was before you guys posted...

lol
But seriously, I'm probably gonna get Wings Falcon. I really like its design, and how most of it is clear-ish.

Looking at the Korean on the box, it looks like it says Beyblade(becuase I have some Sonokong Beys with similar/the same text), so is Top Plate a direct spin-off of Beyblade or is it like Beywheelz and Flywheels where its similar but not actually related?
From what I've seen most things refer to it as Beyblade Top Plate so my guess would be Sonokong did go through the proper licensing (either with Hasbro or Takara) to have the opportunity to make it an official spin-off.

No, that is just eBay sellers putting positive keywords in their auctions. In the same manner, you will often see unrelated spinning tops being called "Beyblade" without them actually being part of the Beyblade series by TAKARA-TOMY.

Imagine if those eBay sellers did not add "Beyblade" in the title : nobody would search for "top plate", so they would barely make any profit since they would make no sales.
I think top plate is just like other companys ( battle strikers and dracco spin) trying to replicate beyblade by making low quality tops

Well, these seem to be pretty good quality, considering SonoKong makes(made) Beyblades for South Korea.

Its not a copy, rather than a "side series"/spin off series, just not made by TT, but SonoKong.
Technically its not "Beyblade", but sellers online call it MFB.
Sono Kong makes beyblades and they're not low quality so I don't see why you'd think these would be.
for example the sono-kong Phantom Orion has shown to contain the best molds of B:Grin Smile anyway this slightly getting off topic :\ anyway so far m favorite one is Mortal Shark... mostly cause it sounds cool Cool but Liger.. it sounds like a cross between libra and Driger Tired
A Liger is an actual animal, just in case you didn't know. It's basically what you'd think it'd be, a female tiger and male lion mix.

Yes, there being competitive combinations.

But battle technique is important than competitive combinations.
