Almost a year to the date since "A Timely Farewell," Time comes back to you all with the latest and greatest in the Maryland tournament series, "Before the Burst." Since pretty soon all of our blading knowledge will be consumed with the burst meta, it's time to honor the formats that have led us up to this exciting moment, those of Bakuten Shoot and Metal Fight Beyblade!

Info Stuff:
Date: 6/28/15
Location: MLK Park (The closest address to put in your GPS is 1098 Jackson Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904, but be sure to look at the map for the actual location of the tournament
which will be beside the pavilion (just above the basketball courts))
Registration: 11:30-12:00
Tournaments will start promptly at noon and I expect we will be done around 5.
Fees: $5 to participate per tournament, $10 for a blader passport
$5 for 2 on 2, this helps cover the cost of all prizes distributed
Formats:
We will be playing some combination of Zero-G, Plastics, HMS, Limited, and 2 on 2 based on the results of the poll. One of the official formats will be played in teams.
Limited: http://worldbeyblade.org/Forum-MFB-Limited-Discussion
Team: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Introduc...on-9-27-14
2 v. 2: A partner is randomly selected for you. You proceed to play matches with all four bladers launching at once. First team to win 5 rounds (5/9) wins the match. Depending on turnout this will likely be double elimination. Once being crowned champions, the winning team will square off against each other in one more 5/9 match (2 switches of beys allowed) to determine who will take home the prize.
Prizes: Stuff from Time's goody bag that includes rare HMS and Plastics, launcher accessories, and other surprises.

Also kind of wish Team Limited, Zero-G, and Plastics 2-2 was a choice, but whatevs, this'll be a great tournament regardless of the formats.
btw beautiful graphics man
EDIT: wow this was a mostly whiny post

Thats actually exactly what I wanted to do, but we got to throw some respect to Bakuten Shoot with an official format you know?

@[beymaster15963] If he comes, I've sort of already promised the spot to *Ginga*
However, I would strongly encourage you to make your own team as at the moment mine is the only one that exists.
Congrats on being able to log in!
@[Sniper] Look at the OP. Happy?
Question about our next planned event, for after the release of Burst: Do we want to aim for late August or early September? August would be cool, but Burst doesn't release until the end of July and some buyers might purchase with two-week shipping. Maybe September would be better? I know we don't have to worry about this just yet, but it's good to keep it in mind for future reference. @[Time]
Also I was about to email my boss requesting a schedule switch for this day, but now I'm unsure if I should. I'm really confused by the train schedule, I don't think it runs from Perryville to DC on Sunday's, but I'm not sure.

If you read the OP, this is very likely going to be the only tournament MD has this summer. So, basically you should definitely email your boss to see about a schedule change. I'm almost certain that the trains run on Sundays. Also, what do you mean we only need one more person?
The train runs, but I don't think it goes to Perryville on weekends. I'll see what I can do.
We need seven, right? You have six.

We have 9....
And BTW, I've got some Beyblade stuff for sale below, so if anybody who's attending this event is interested in any of it, please let me know by PM. I'll have no problem only bringing what's requested, but to bring it all is an awful lot extra to carry.
This gon' be good.
