Almost a year to the date since "A Timely Farewell," Time comes back to you all with the latest and greatest in the Maryland tournament series, "Before the Burst." Since pretty soon all of our blading knowledge will be consumed with the burst meta, it's time to honor the formats that have led us up to this exciting moment, those of Bakuten Shoot and Metal Fight Beyblade!

I'll see if I can't do something about getting a real cake as well.

In all seriousness Starbursts will be featured prominently at this event.
As snazzy as those graphics are you're still probably wondering why you want to come to this event.

Reason #1. See aforementioned comment about Starbursts
Reason #2. Opportunity to participate in a team format event.
Reason #3. Opportunity to play Zero-G without F230CF/GCF
Reason #4. Battle a number of the top-ranked bladers in the world.
Reason #5. Rocking prizes, more details to follow
Reason #6. Opportunity to play multiple formats in one day.
Reason #7. Only region in the world that offers 2 on 2 tournaments (unofficial).
Reason #8. Time sells rare plastics and hms really cheaply.
Reason #9. Earn credits that can be used towards prizes from the blader rewards.
Reason #10. Earn faces to help make your profile look even snazzier.
Reason #11. Get to meet some really swell people.
Reason #12. Beyblading is fun
Bonus Reason: This is one of the only days all summer Time is available so it might be your only chance.

Info Stuff:

Date: 6/28/15

Location: MLK Park (The closest address to put in your GPS is 1098 Jackson Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904, but be sure to look at the map for the actual location of the tournament
which will be beside the pavilion (just above the basketball courts))

Registration: 11:30-12:00
Tournaments will start promptly at noon and I expect we will be done around 5.

Fees: $5 to participate per tournament, $10 for a blader passport
$5 for 2 on 2, this helps cover the cost of all prizes distributed

Formats:
We will be playing some combination of Zero-G, Plastics, HMS, Limited, and 2 on 2 based on the results of the poll. One of the official formats will be played in teams.

Limited: http://worldbeyblade.org/Forum-MFB-Limited-Discussion

Team: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Introduc...on-9-27-14

2 v. 2: A partner is randomly selected for you. You proceed to play matches with all four bladers launching at once. First team to win 5 rounds (5/9) wins the match. Depending on turnout this will likely be double elimination. Once being crowned champions, the winning team will square off against each other in one more 5/9 match (2 switches of beys allowed) to determine who will take home the prize.

Prizes: Stuff from Time's goody bag that includes rare HMS and Plastics, launcher accessories, and other surprises.

It's about the tournament that Time is hosting in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Also, Time, that "Time"line is beautiful, I love it Smile

(Did you get the pun??)
I've got some extra Plastics and HMS I can loan out on the day of the tournament. Guess I'm gonna have to bring all my stuff this time. Sagittario_RollEyes

Also kind of wish Team Limited, Zero-G, and Plastics 2-2 was a choice, but whatevs, this'll be a great tournament regardless of the formats.

btw beautiful graphics man

EDIT: wow this was a mostly whiny post

Thats actually exactly what I wanted to do, but we got to throw some respect to Bakuten Shoot with an official format you know?
Put me down as a maybe
Flash SGTO said he was a maybe.
You spelled Sniper's birthday bash wrong.
I can't do this one. Keep me updated though, and I'll plan for August. Good luck! Smile
Hey time any chance I could be the last person on your team

@[beymaster15963] If he comes, I've sort of already promised the spot to *Ginga*
However, I would strongly encourage you to make your own team as at the moment mine is the only one that exists.
Congrats on being able to log in!

@[Sniper] Look at the OP. Happy?
Ok I'll make my own team who wants to join
I'll do my best to make it. if this is on Sunday I'm pretty much confirmed but I don't wanna look up the specific date soo
Can you put me down as a maybe? I may go to the east coast to visit family, meet up with fans and friends, and compete in this tourney! Grin

Think this could be a possibility? @[Dark_Mousy]

Gonna depend on work and if Im at the beach that weekend or not.
confirm me up in this shiz
Well its been awhile for me since my last tourney. however if i do make it i would probably only play limited and zero g. not because i dont have many beys for those, i just dont rlly enjoy playing those formats. Hopefully ill be able to come and see u guys again! im a maybe.
Looks like you guys only need one more person, good job! Grin

Question about our next planned event, for after the release of Burst: Do we want to aim for late August or early September? August would be cool, but Burst doesn't release until the end of July and some buyers might purchase with two-week shipping. Maybe September would be better? I know we don't have to worry about this just yet, but it's good to keep it in mind for future reference. @[Time]

Also I was about to email my boss requesting a schedule switch for this day, but now I'm unsure if I should. I'm really confused by the train schedule, I don't think it runs from Perryville to DC on Sunday's, but I'm not sure.
@[Wizard] Actually I don't think I have time to host one in August and I go back to school before September. If you read the OP, this is very likely going to be the only tournament MD has this summer. So, basically you should definitely email your boss to see about a schedule change. I'm almost certain that the trains run on Sundays. Also, what do you mean we only need one more person?

The train runs, but I don't think it goes to Perryville on weekends. I'll see what I can do.

We need seven, right? You have six.

We have 9....
After reorganizing everything, I found out that I have a few more HMS and a dozen or so plastics I can loan out, so hopefully no one feels like they won't be able to participate in either of those formats because they don't have older gen Blades. Wink

And BTW, I've got some Beyblade stuff for sale below, so if anybody who's attending this event is interested in any of it, please let me know by PM. I'll have no problem only bringing what's requested, but to bring it all is an awful lot extra to carry.

Items for sale+Prices (Click to View)

This gon' be good.
@[bb17008] you have PMs disabled so I can't send you a response, but no, there is no age requirement, absolutely anyone is welcome to play.
I got a zero g attack stadium if we don't have enough
