The Spring Sortie

Hi everyone! This is the official thread for The Spring Sortie - being held in the Mid-Atlantic's favorite Beyblade venue, Martin Luther King Jr. Park - on Sunday, April 29.

*Please note that this is a standard MFB tournament.

Along with testing, and modifying rulebooks accordingly, we also need to consider if we are going to implement a new format (and BeyRank separate from the current one), if we are simply going to modify an old format, or both.

That being said, I will have all of the Zero-G products for sale at the tournament as well as having at least 1 Zero-G attack stadium out and available for people to try out! Its the wave of the future, so get ready for Zero-G!!!

Location: Map of MLK Park The closest address to put in your GPS is 1098 Jackson Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904, but be sure to look at the satellite view of the map above for the actual location of the tournament which will be beside the pavilion (just above the basketball courts)
Registration: 11:00am - Noon
Start time: Noon-thirty Wink
Format: TBD depending on number of bladers
Surface: Grass!
Fees: Standard WBO fees ($5 entry fee or free with a Blader Passport)
Prizes: Zero-G beys and gear (TBD)

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

5. Listen For Your Username To Be Called

Your name will be called when it's time for your next battle. If you need to leave early or take a break, tell a judge. Missing a match could mean disqualification!

6. Players Must Meet Regional Product Age Restrictions

All players in this event must meet the age restrictions on Beyblade products in their region. TAKARA-TOMY recommends Beyblade for ages 6+. Hasbro recommends Beyblade for ages 8+. Players under these ages may only participate with the permission of their parent/guardian.

7. Players Under 18 Must Be Accompanied by a Parent/Guardian

If you are under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must accompany you and be present for the duration of the event.

8. Contests, Raffles, Gambling, Betting, and Selling Are Prohibited

Advertising the sale of any product or service, as well as posting about any contest, raffle, gambling, or betting on this event page and conducting them at the event without approval by Fighting Spirits Inc. staff is prohibited. Please contact the Organized Play team if you require approval.

9. Terms of Service

All event attendees and users of this website are subject to our Terms of Service.

its the other way around i was in second and took Samurai ifraid Ryugablader was 3rd and got Pirates Oroijya

Hi everyone! 31 Bladers came out for a beautiful Maryland afternoon at The Spring Sortie!

Here are the official results from the Finals...

1st place: TheGreatFico
2nd place: Bigbang4ever
3rd place: Ryugablader
4th place tie: Tech & Cool Blader
6th place: stormpegasis123

This was the first trip to the finals for Tech and stormpegasis123, and I'm sure that we will see them again as they are hungry for more!

Thank you everyone for coming out with strong Beyspirit and great sportsmanship! And thank you to our judges, Galaxy4Stars, TheGreatFico, J o n, and Tech - the very same group (with Breaker!) who will be hosting the BeyDays tournament on Saturday, May 26: The Five Fist BeyDay

I didn't play today so that I could observe our judges as they took the reigns in preparation for BeyDays. I think they did a great job today (as always) and will do a great job on BeyDays - but I would ask everyone to give them your full support as they take on what will be one of the biggest tournaments of the year!

I will be spending BeyDays up in Toronto at Anime North, but I'll look forward to seeing you all again in June!
