Host: Deceased Crab

Format: Burst Standard. Please read the Burst Standard rules at https://drive.google.com/open?id=1mbjw-O...mLOgNQ-c9A . I know it says "Old" in the title, but that's a joke on the product "Old Bay". Go ahead and bring your Lord layers.

LocationThis event will be held indoors at the Baltimore Science Fiction Society building, which has a large library. http://www.bsfs.org/bsfsdrct.htm

Parking will be street parallel parking, there are no nearby lots or structures, but parking doesn't seem to be a problem on Saturdays.
Please tell your parents or whoever's driving that there are plenty of books to read and chairs to sit in.

Time: As the tournament will start promptly at 1:00pm, please plan to arrive around 12:00pm when registration will begin. Registration will close at 12:30am. If the participant cap has not been met at this time, waitlisted players will be offered a spot. Confirming your attendance on the WBO event page does not substitute for registration at the venue.
Do not arrive before 11:30am! The building will not be open before 11:30am, so please, don't. Go get some breakfast while you wait.

Prizes: The prizes include Revive Phoenix Silver Wing version, Hell Salamander Gravity Yielding from RB12, and Dead Hades 8'Expand Xtreme' from RB15. Yes, I know they're not the newest and the greatest, but they're still very good parts, still viable in today's meta, and I paid for them out of pocket, and I hope you enjoy them.

Other Information:
We have a 24 participant cap, and that has been met. The current list of people I will be notifying if any spots open up is as follows:
1. Blueeyes
2. DillonB1118
3. NevBey2019
4. RYANTHEDRAGON98
If bladers need to drop, post in the thread, and I will try to notify people waiting to hurry up and register. We can't go above 24 participants, but we'll try to make sure that people who want to play can.
I have checked, and waitlisting only works at the door on the day of, and nothing is guaranteed.

Even if you can't or don't want to participate, you may show up and enjoy free play with other bladers at the venue.

Be aware of your surroundings. The BSFS organization has generously allowed us to hold a Beyblade tournament at a wonderful indoor venue. We are guests in this space, and we should be respectful. There are many books there! If you want to borrow one, use the card catalog box in the front room. Please do not use the board games on the shelf, you are more than welcome to come to BSFS at a later time to boardgame. Anyone interested in BSFS events should definitely go to http://www.bsfs.org/index.html and attend those. Anyone who's looking for some good books to read, well, you've come to the right Beyblade tournament.

Please come prepared. It is helpful for both hosts and judges if all participants bring at least one Takara Tomy or Hasbro-manufactured Beyblade of their own and more than one launcher when possible. Additionally, parents of children under the age of 13 must be present for the duration of the event, as tournament end times can be difficult to estimate, and we would hate for someone to be left behind once it is over.

Be aware of your belongings. We'd advise users to please, please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

All players must arrive on-time. The tournament will begin no later than 1:00 PM and is expected to run for about 3 hours or less. It absolutely needs to finish by 5:00 PM. Please plan accordingly. If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.

If you know in advance that you will be late, please post in this thread or contact someone at the event and depending on the circumstances we can perhaps still include you if we know you will arrive soon.

Maybe you did, I might take a little trip down even though I've never been to a Maryland tournament.

And NightmareChaos. And SS2. And CrimsonBurst. Geez, this is going to be some good matches. Plus 7-Eleven, who I know has done very well in Delaware.
DeceasedCrab, would you mind if I filmed a tournament video? I definitely want to record a few of these matches!

Go right ahead.
A Lord layer I will bring indeed.
Hey D.C! I just found out that I have a soccer game on that date so I won't be able to come but 4 some reason I can't unregister? anyway sorry I can't come.

Yeah, normal unregistering doesn't work when you hit participant cap. I'll talk to the contributors and have them deregister you, and then we'll see if I can get one of the numerous people who want to register in.
SS2 Blader did get removed from the registration, opening up a spot. I messaged everyone on the waitlist, and it looks like Hitashi registered in that spot.

We can repeat the process if anyone else needs to drop.
I got the official go-ahead from DC to set up the bey shop at this Tournament.

It was the venue that gave the go ahead! But yes, we'll have Beyshop. So, go nuts. I hear you've got Union Achilles this time?
Just got a few of them in. And I'm getting a a request to set up a Remodel shop. So I'll see about getting as many loose parts as possible.
Hello- can you add me to waitlist? Thanks!
Don't know if I'll ever be able to come since its on a Saturday, but just in case, any chance o could get on this wait list
DeceasedCrab looks like I can’t go to this one because this is the week my cousins are coming and I highly doubt they want to stay in Baltimore for at least 3 hours so can you kick me out please Thank you Smile
As a reminder, the tournament is on Saturday! Registration will likely close around 12:45PM, so that we can get started close to 1:00PM.

After 12:45, bladers registered for the tournament who aren't present at the tournament may lose their spot in the tournament to bladers who didn't or couldn't pre-register, but are actually there. You have been warned! Aside from people helping to judge the tournament, there will be very few exceptions granted for lateness.

It's a 24 person tournament, So it will likely be a 5 round swiss. That means the first stage before the finals could take an uncertain amount of time! If you make it to the finals, you'll be there perhaps a half an hour to an hour longer!

That first stage will likely take less than 3 hours, but just in case, you should expect to be there at least 3 hours.
If you and the person driving you cannot commit to you staying until at least 4PM, you should unregister for the tournament now.

EDIT: Also, if anyone has a Wedge-S they'd be willing to trade me, I have some parts they might find interesting.

Looks like I won't be able to come, thought I'd be able to try and take off for that day, but sadly, I can't off work unfortunately ?

*Take off that day
The tournament is tomorrow! If you're registered, don't forget to attend! If something's come up and you need to deregister, now's really the last time to effectively do that!

I'll start a wait list at the event tomorrow on location for people who show up and want to participate in case someone registered doesn't show up. No guarantees on participation for bladers who didn't get one of the 24 slots, but there will be Beyshop and free play.

Remember that if you aren't present by 12:45pm, you might lose your spot in the tournament!
I look forward to this

I'm very excited
We have at least one bladers who can't make it, so at least one unregistered blader who shows up will be able to participate, if there are any. It's a little late to officially unregister at this point so we'll just see who shows up.
I’m about an hour and 5 minutes away currently, I should get there by 12:36.
I’m not really far got there at 11 since we thought there was gonna be quite a bit of traffic but there really wasn’t so we just drove around and are at DG checkout should be there in a few
Make that 2 deregistrations so far. Currently no waitlist, so there 2 open spots.
Sorry for the double post, but DeceasedCrab, I’m going to be there but it might be close, probably going to be there by 12:42 now.
We currently have 3 open spots at this point, and potentially more depending on how late people are.
This was a great tournament! A fantastic location choice by DeceasedCrab! Also, did anyone record the final match?
