Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST

Oh boy this topic, if you're going to eat well done steak just grab some jerky it's much better. I'm a medium guy myself. I went to school for restaurants though I bailed on that profession awhile back. I can't speak for everywhere, but the chances of you getting food poisoning from beef in the US is minimal beyond compare. and if you think because you got "sick" it was from the steak I highly doubt it because you wouldn't be able to get off the floor next to the toilet if that was the case. And if you did get sick from a restaurant you should have gotten a hefty discount for eating there for the next few times. I remember serving maybe 10 years ago, and I had these guys from England who ordered their steaks Blue, I asked my cooks about it and they said no problem. for those who don't know. Blue is throwing it on the grill, for a couple seconds on each side then serving it. Nobody got sick, it's rather common in the non-wussy cultures outside the US.
On a similar note, I had my wife's cousin awhile back tell me he was a prime rib expert and he only eats it well done. That is a crime and he should be locked away. Prime rib should NEVER EVER be cooked past medium rare. Its a fact and no you wont get sick unless you leave it out for 5 hours...
My biggest problem with eating steak blue is that the meat has a jelly-like consistency still, and is a bit tougher to chew than rare.

Like Coach said, food poisoning from beef is pretty rare. Most of the bacteria lies on the surface, and that'll be killed by searing the outside. Chicken is a whole other story. That's gotta be cooked through. What's funny (though delicious) is that for some reason duck can safely be eaten rare, unlike other poultry.

I used to get a great mixed grill plate from an Inn a few hours away. Rare steak, lamb, and duck. Served with an amazing sauce, and a crispy potato roll. *drool*

Now jerky...mmm. I could eat that sodium-laden treat all day long.
Id have no problem with something blue if i killed it myself, i really just dont trust food that i havent made myself, but its not cause i might get sick its more cause of the different things in food nowadays
Personally, I'm the kind of person who likes steak well done, to the point where it's completely grey haha
My family likes it extremely well done, but I just hate the chewy texture Pinching_eyes

Yay, agreements. Grin

Well done doesn't necessarily lose the good stuff EVERY time. I used to be a regular at a restaurant in Arizona that cooked the most flavorful Well Done steak, AND it still had the good stuff in it.

I'm kinda in agreement with ya TSO. I like mine at that point, too. Unless you want me vomiting all over the place, give me a well done steak or don't give me one at all...
Oh man, I meant to say my family likes it extremely uncooked, not well done Tongue_out
Defstamina Same here. I just can't eat it when it's mostly red. Honestly, I feel like well done steak has more flavor than when it's hardly cooked.
I think i kinda get what you guys are sayin about the well done keeping flavor but its not the same type of flavor as medium rare.
When i was a kid you couldnt give me a steak that wasnt comletely brown but as defstamina said it never lost the juice it was just cooked more.
The idea of eating something that bloody makes me not wanna touch it at a restaurant, I have seen some very rare meat and I can't say I wanna try it. I'm not sure if this is just me, but I like dunking my steak in mashed potatoes with bacon and cheese. #Don'tJudge.

Give me until the holidays are over, then I'll be ready for spring. Our house is now fully decorated, there's snow on the ground outside, and everything is lovely.

It's once the lights and decorations come down that Winter starts to feel oppressive.
Its nice and jolly but id take goin outside and mowin the lawn over shoveling
I love the holiday season! Though I would prefer late spring or early fall Smile as far as weather.
I Just Had The Most Stupid Conversation With One Of My Friends (Max88183) Here Is The Conversation We Just Had.
Me: Hey, Are You Coming To Tomorrows Tournament?
Him: Nah.
Me: Why, It's Been Forever Since You Participated In One.
Him: No I Just Don't Really Like Beyblades Anymore. They Are Pointless And Stupid.
Me: Maybe It's Not The Beyblades That Are Stupid.

It Got Me Really Annoyed. I Just Gave Him My Old Tripod And One Of My Tackle Boxes. Also, I Asked Him If I Could Borrow His Brown F230 At One Point And, His Answer Was A Straight Up No. I Just Gave Him Two Very Important Things Of Mine And, I Can't Borrow Something For One Day That He Doesn't Even Use. Unhappy
Please stop capitalising every word, it makes your posts incredibly annoying to read. Seeing as your post is beyblade related, it also better belongs in Beyblade Random Thoughts, too.

That said, while I'm here, eurgh, sounds like a pretty bad friend, just keep it in mind in future.
Tournaments aren't always about just beyblading, it's a good way to make new friends and hangout with them while you have something to do with a common interest you share.
Christmas season, the "happiest time of the year"! But what is this? Georgia is still humid and rainy? MMMHHHMMM MKAY NATURE I C U HATIN ON GEORGIA.
We usually hover around 104F for Christmas Day, and my family still doesn't understand why I'm never keen on the roast lunch.

The last time Georgia got snow school was out for 2 weeks lol.

And then we had a massive flood that same year .____.
It has a nice ring but after 22 years you get tired of the heat. Luckily, my cousin's place has a pool so sunbirn aside, that is usually pretty good. Though last year or the year before it was humid as heck and rained all day lol.

Go to around :35ish.

If you're really tired of that, give this a shot for a white Christmas, haha. Tongue_out

Apparently snow machine snow is kinda gross or something. I'll probably just strategically position myself directly under the Aircon unit and mutter about the fact we should've had seafood platters or something similar instead.
I love Chuck Taylor Converse Shoes but,boy are they bad for playing Basketball on hardwood.I was obligated to play in them because I forgot my Nike HyperFuse at home.Unhappy
