SATURDAY, APRIL 5 2014
Ah-Nab Awen Park - Grand Rapids, MI, USA
LIMITED FORMAT

Registration - 11:30-12PM
Start Time - 12PM

The road to the Grand Battle begins! Michigan Bladers, this is your chance to earn paid travel expenses (if necessary) to ANIME NORTH, along with an AN Pass to play in the WBO North American Championship, GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2!!

Mandatory $5 Entry Fee = More Qualifiers + Extra Credits + Free Face Booster!
To help subsidize the high cost of flying/busing the qualifiers to Toronto, a mandatory $5 entry fee will be imposed on all Qualifier Series tournaments, regardless of whether or not a participant has a Blader Passport (if you wish to purchase a Blader Passport, the total cost would be $15 at a Qualifier Series tournament), and there will be no prize reimbursement apart from the travel expenses for the winner. We hope that everyone can understand this! The more funds we have, the bigger this championship will be! However, to show our appreciation for your cooperation and support in helping to fund the championship, all participants in Qualifier Series tournaments will receive the following:

What can I win?
The winner of this qualifier will receive the following:
  • Paid travel expenses, by plane/bus/public transit (if necessary, and whichever is cheapest) to ANIME NORTH 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2.
  • An ANIME NORTH 2014 Pass
Qualifiers will be responsible for finding/paying for accommodations in Toronto, but we will work closely with each of you to make sure that you find somewhere suitable. Additionally, the winner will be required to consult with the Committee before booking their flight/bus, and then after approval, provide a booking confirmation to the WBO Committee before they can provide reimbursement for the traveling costs. We can also reimburse gas costs, but in that case, reimbursement will only take place in person after we have received gas receipts.

Good luck!

My money would be on Yuko Ray14 winning his second qualifier Tongue_out
Good luck to everybody tomorrow!
I was wondering, what is the exact address?
The tournament will be on the big stage in the middle of the park, u cant miss it haha
We are here... but we don't know where the stage is.
Sorry for the wait guys, but the placings are

1st- Yuko Ray14
2nd- .:Libra:.
3rd- Snoop Dog MS

The tournament ran very well and everyone had a good time, shout out to Snoop for giving a marine money for bus fare during the tournament! Shout out to Cyber Dan and Carley for making it to the finals in their first tournament! And shout out to Fang Wolf for going "anti undefeated" in his block, losing all of his matches in his block, but still staying a good sport and helping out the younger bladers with combos! And lastly shout out to the parents for being patient, and everyone for staying till the very end!
Congrats to the placers!
What did I say? Yuko Ray14 ftw

Congrats! Will combos be posted soon?
It was awesome, I must say. This brought my bey-spirit back. I now don't have a rivalry against anyone but BasaltSpam... I could made it to the final battle. BUT NO. He just HAD to make me lose. Lol. But it was one of my best tournaments I was at in a while. Thanks for the experience!
lol since BasaltSpam couldn't spam Basalt he just went ahead and used every other def/stam combo he could XD

I wasn't really prepared for this tournament - I was expecting huge Omega/Scythe spamming throughout the whole tournament, and more Attack and Defense. However, there was a ton of Stamina - and I'm still not used to the lighter Attack-types to counter that. So I had to scramble a Vulcan LTAC, which, as I learned, doesn't do a lot against low tracks.

TL;DR my younger brother beat me super-easily despite the fact that my collection is several times as large, and my mad skillz with weird combos Chief - Disappointed ...

Haha well dispite that you did do very good, and thank you for judging!
Haha, thanks Smile

BTW about the judging - shouldn't I have the DJ face by now? I've judged several times, and I assume that that's what it's for.
Idk but I've judged ever since my second tournament and I have Been in like six since then so would I get one too
I had to PM Kai-V about getting my DJ face, I suggest you guys do it too Smile
I'll talk to Kei or Kai-V about that Cake, you do deserve a DJ face.
Thanks! I already PMed Kai-V, though Smile
How many tournaments must you judge to get this face
You need to judge 7+ battles.

There is no minimum number, but if you want to have the Face after one tournament, you need to have judged a good portion of the overall battles.
