I'd love to be able to do 1-2 tournaments a week, but my main problem is the money . I only just had enough for the last one. I know I could get a blader passport but I'll wait until another 1 or 2 are confirmed
This tournament is now over.

Hey all you UK bladers It's mine and LeeDraciel's turn to bring you another official tournament!
Specific info:
When: 26th of February 11.30am until it finishes. (Tournament will start by 12.30 - 13:00pm) If you do turn up after 12.30 there is a chance you won't be able to take part!
Where: At the bandstand
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=re...4&t=h&z=19
ControL_'s Guide
Directions to the bandstand:
OK heads up guys, you want to be taking the following buses that pass by (or are close): 13, 46, 82, 113, 187. The 13 and 46 are one stop away so walk around the edge of St Johns Wood high street. From here on, you wil lwant to enter the park via the entrance by the mosque. The Mosque is labelled on the linked map added on the OP.
Now train wise, you guys want to get the Jubilee line somewhat and get off at Bakers street (Jubilee, metropolitain, bakerloo and some more?). From bakers street station you want to walk down the road on the right of the entrance/exit for 50 metres, cross the small road and enter through the main of the parks entrances, you can't miss it! At this stage you will be at a duck/swan feeding area and on your immediate right is a big bridge. You want to go cross that bridge and when your across the 30 metre long bridge, you want to turn left and walk up that path. For about 100 metres walking straight following the path, you will reach the bandstand - easy! For this route you should use this map. (Bandstand at top middle, bridge is at the direct bottom : Route A
The other route, to get here you can get off at St Johns Wood station, get the bus 113/82/13 outside and take it for 2 stops to the mosque (then walk down hangover road to entrance). Enter through the hangover road entrance. From the entance you will see a largish playground, a pond; there are many kids yellow paddling boats here in this small pond, and across this pond is the boathouse cafe, a cafe. Route B map Looking at the map, you can see the pond. Walk down the outlined path hugging the lake. You should aim to walk all the way down that path till you reach the bridge as described in route A. Again walk up 100metres up the straight path and your there. - The bandstand is the small white circle in the bottom right of the link. Hangover road entrance is in the top right, to the right of that is the playground and the pond.
These are two easiest ways to get there via public transport and walking!

I do not think you will ever have to worry about not getting a lot of tournaments in London, so it is definitely worth it to get a Blader Passport.
I know it might be asking a bit, but when will the points from this tournament come up. They came kind of late last time
I did not get sent anything yet. It is my Spring Break this week, so I should be able to process the results as soon as I get them.
Hey guys, sorry i haven't been on yet. Great tourney as usuall and thankyou to everyone who helped out. I can understand where everyone is coming from but double elimination was so much easier from a judging point of view, much less stressful and yes the wondering between matches and groups really must stop. I think we will look into trying a few different formats and maybe restricting some tourneys and having them more frequent maybe. But hey i guess it gives 'noobs' an incentive to improve to stay in the game.
Anyway, i will be making a video for this tourney so all high quality footage will be much appreciated and Kai-V i will try and get the results sent to you when i get home from work tomorrow.
Well done everyone who competed, i was quite impressed with the talent of some of the younger and newer bladers and congrats to Matt (Blitz) on finally getting his well deserved first win.

i think what would be good is we have 2 tournaments a month! 1 at the beginning of the month and 1 at the end.

Which would result in two right next to each other..... think about it, we would need one at the start and one midway through the month. I would be happy to do this as i only work week days but i think people will become bored of them, i think one a month and a soon to come unofficial tag team tourney every two months would be just right for now.
Would be great to get 2 a month, buy the trouble is restocking parts, and it's sometimes a bother for people to get here. I know i live close but those that come from South London and beyond don't want to carry TTattacks and cases every fortnight across the capital.
Then again it hurts me waiting for more tournys. Lee you must exercise unofficial Tag team tournys every so often as well as the monthly official ones. Then that would be 3 tournys every 2 months, plenty.

Agreeing with Lee regarding frequent tournaments can get boring. New parts won't be released so we will be having re-runs of the same-style tournaments with the same Beyblades.

That's kind of true, but not many people find out about them and some people dont have money to get them. So an extra tournament would be like a second chance to some people who lost a few bey points.
Look at me for instance, im all ways pumped for a new tournament and to face other people than just my friends
In my opinion i think it may be a good idea to do a regular official tourney once every month, but every 3 months or so, do a big official tourney? sort of regarding to, bigger prizes, yor own beys (not borrowing anyone elses), and also a near enough full turn out. I mean thi tourney had maybe about 30 members attending it but about 60 or so said they would attend. I know this would be stress on the judges and everything but this tourney was handled quite well within where people should go, and removing from the pay areas as there getting called out because in every other tourney i've been too it was organized but not as organized as this one. But it's only just an opinion on the matter though.
I'm sure you can challenge members for a ranked match for bey points but just as long as you both agree on it that it is a ranked match. You may need confrmation on that though.

Since people cheated a lot in the past, ranked matches are only those part of a tournament structure.

There was no 4th. It was 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Group Runners-up.
thats wat i was told by lee draciel
ok, imo we should do a tourney once a month as blitz kinda hinted to me as buying prizes every fortnite could be expencive for the judges and as pointed out can be a bit boring.
also jumping to the 'group' discussion we should put all the regular high ranking players in one group eg. control, jjsonickid, leedraciel, blitz (me soon, lol)ect. and groups for newcomers and low ranking players so it doesnt become boring for the n00bs.
if you guys are worried about 'advanced n00b bladers', if they rank hiigh consistantly than put them in the high group. and as far as prizes go we should do a the top 2/remaining 2 of each group should go forward into a nokout with the other group toppers(number may depend on how many contestants in each group) to determine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
imo this system would work best... lol

not really because if its a double elimination then the noobs would not want to lose to high rankers and get knocked out right away
the players that want to face the top bladers will have an incentive to win their group as in, if they get better and progress than they face better opponents, mabye have 3-4 groups based on points and ability.
that will also increase the level of competetive play and the standard (of what seems to be the only double elimination) of english bladers.

As a n00b I would like to say that I think the Seperate groups for n00bs and Advanced then the remaining 2 of each group face for the finals sounds best as that way we wouldnt be defeated bythe advanced so often for example at this tourney i was kinda down after losing 2 matches T_T,
Also way to many low earth aquilla/eagles at this tourney
Also way to many low earth aquilla/eagles at this tourney
How about seeding top players. This combined with having 2 players per group which could qualify for finals but restricting it so that only 1 seed per group can advance.
Example:
Group 1
LeeDraciel(1)
ControL_(3)
blader a
blader b
blader c
blader d
...
Only 1 seed can make it through: so either ControL_ or LeeDraciel but not both. The other person who can qualify for the finals is either blader a, b, c, d...
this could mean that the finals would feature:
same number of seeded players + same number of unseeded players.
Example:
Group 1
LeeDraciel(1)
ControL_(3)

blader b
blader c

I agree with BladeStorm, ControL_ and almost everyone else.
personally, because i hate this double elimination style, i propose we should hold
1 or 2 tourneys per month/ 2 months, block round robin, restricted numbers ( passport holders only or priority)
1 tourney per month/ 2 months (or longer), double elimination, unlimited numbers
i dont know if this will work, as it depends on money, prizes (like Lee said) so this may not seem good.
Any further ideas or improvements?
I really dont want to have to do double elimination. Noobs and advanced noobs may not even have a chance to come out top if they are knocked out in the first two or three rounds. (I happened to only play three times and N five or four, and we both got knocked out at the same level, which kinda annoys me. My beypoints are just going doooooown...)

1 tourney per 2 months is just way too long for many of us to wait. 2 Tourneys per 2 months is the same as 1 a month...
I think the passport holders only option is much better,
But if they are passport only can you buy a passport on the day (parents are annoyingly stubborn with using stuff online)

About your so called seeding high ranking bladers, we already spread out the top players evenly? It is impossible to have noob groups as there is the matter of judges, i don't think any of us could bare to sit to one side and judge without competing.
You forget we are only bladers like everyone else, we want to compete as much as you all, we judge and host events off our own back or there wouldn't be any at all with the state of the UK staffing situation. The reason the high rankers are so good is because we have been doing this a long time, practiced and perfected our teqniques (sometimes with a little luck). We were all noobs once, i was proberly one of the worst.
I remember a time when we had a 5 month gap between a tourney so i think the current once a month is plenty enough. And i promise the unofficial tag team events will be up and running soon. So chill out, i don't think there is anything wrong with the way things are right now but as i said we will be looking into making improvments.
