Quote:Nelvana has begun the licensing drive for the hotly tipped Beyblade: Metal Fusion in earnest, appointing a number of international agents, plus a raft of new licensees in the US and Canada.
The boy’s action property already has Hasbro on board as master toy partner for most international markets outside of Asia, and now several well-respected agents will be building the merchandise programme across key territories.
CPLG will represent the property in the UK, Ireland and Spain; Kidz Entertainment/EEMC has picked up the rights for Eastern Europe and the Nordic region; Lagardére Active has been appointed in France; Brand Licensing will look after Beyblade in Israel; m4e has Germany, Austria and Switzerland; and CLM has been awarded South Africa.
Hasbro’s toy line has already launched in Canada and is due to hit shelves in the US, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Scandinavia, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Australia and New Zealand in the autumn. The range features an innovative metal gear system and an online virtual battle component. Since its relaunch in Japan in 2008 by Tomy, over 17 million tops and accessories have been sold.
On top of this, Nelvana has signed up a plethora of new licensees covering the US and Canada. These include Accessory Innovations (bags/accessories); MZ Berger (clocks/watches and game pens); Tech4Kids (flashlights/sporting goods); Basic Fun (keychains); Jack Guttman Inc. DBA Bakery Crafts (cake décor); Dizzy Heights Entertainment (dog tags); Adorable Lingerie (sleepwear); Fame Jeans (sportswear); and Black & White (footwear).

Beyblade: Metal Fusion in Canadian stores now!
- Kai-V
- May. 15, 2010 1:55 AM
The new Beyblade Metal Fusion products have finally been seen and bought at a Canadian Toys 'R' Us in Toronto. All the Toys 'R' Us and Wal-Mart of the country should follow very soon, so keep checking your local shops!
Also, it had not officially been announced here, however BeybladeBattles.com was opened. Registrations can be made there, but you will only be able to play against the computer until you buy one of the new items and enter a code. Otherwise, the Let It Rip song that was used in the commercial for the new toys can now be downloaded on that site.

It's here: THE BEYPOINT SYSTEM IS BACK!
- Kai-V
- May. 05, 2010 4:46 PM
It’s here, finally!
The Beypoint System is back, and better than ever! For those who are new to this, the Beypoint System is a ranking program that records all the Beypoints that people got from their matches, and puts those scores in ranks so Bladers can compare their performance with other Beybladers all around the world! Every member starts with 1000 Beypoints; as battles are recorded and entered in the program by the Committee, Beypoints are exchanged between each Blader depending on their current amount of points, so they can either gain or lose Beypoints everytime they had a match.
But now, the Beypoint System has been thoroughly improved: before, many users had been abusing the system by submitting fake battles and creating multiple accounts. Unfortunately the only way to make sure that the system is absolutely clean and that there is no cheating is to restrict the kind of battles that can be submitted to the Beypoint System. Therefore, only matches from official tournaments approved by the World Beyblade Organization Committee will be accepted. This way, everything will be recorded well, and we will be sure that only deserving Bladers can get Beypoints.
Moreover, it’s a subtle change, but you should notice that the number of Beypoints getting added or taken from a member’s amount at every match will be a lot fairer: the Beypoint System now takes more into consideration the amount of Beypoints the opponents have. For instance, if a Beyblader had 1054 Beypoints and defeated somebody with only 905 in a beybattle, he will not gain as much as if he had beaten a person who was at 1167. This was not necessarily well implemented in the previous Beypoint System.
We also officially announce that the Libra Wheel is now banned from play in tournaments. Its repetitive use made the game more boring and strategies revolved almost solely on defeating Beyblades using that Wheel. Now playing Beyblade should be much more fun for everybody, and parts that were initially dismissed will find new use in good combinations!
It has come to our attention as well that TAKARA-TOMY's Beystadiums can be asymmetrical, and therefore might give a slight unfair advantage to the Beyblader who has a bigger portion of walls in front of his launch. For players using such techniques as Sliding Shoot, this can particularly make a difference. To aid in giving both players the best advantage, we will institute a new rule: the BeyStadium cannot be touched before, during or after battles. It is then the players' responsibility to position themselves in the way they prefer, as long as both Bladers are adjacent to each other. We hope all of your Beybattles will take place in harmony.
These changes have been added to the release 2 of the rulebooks :
Universal Rules
Standard Rules
As can be seen, some BeyStadiums have also been made illegal for the Standard Format due to their odd environment for competitive play, however we also wanted to give a fair amount of available stadiums. Now, only the Attack, Balance and Super Attack BeyStadiums can be used in the Standard Format.
Guess what: that’s really not all!
For the past months, we have been preparing this awesome campaign which we baptized “Quest for Quetzâ€! Ooh, excited yet? You should be!
The whole campaign revolves around a race to the finishing prize: Quetzalcoatl 90WF! However, this will of course be a very difficult task, so we added several smaller prizes all along the road, but all of them are limited! You will need to collect a certain amount of Credits to be able to exchange them for one of the prizes, and Credits will only be obtainable at tournaments, at least for the moment. How, do you ask? Credits will be awarded quite simply like this:
For getting the 1st place in a tournament: +3
For getting the 2nd place in a tournament: +2
For getting the 3rd place in a tournament: +1
For winning the majority of your matches: +1
Organising a tournament: +1
Participating in a tournament: +1
And Credits add up within a same event: for example, even if a Blader who comes first at the event will have most likely won the majority of their matches, both amount of Credits are added up, as well as the one for participating in the tournament.
Now, what are the prizes?
For 20 Credits: Quetzalcoatl 90WF + Prize Hunter Face
For 15 Credits: Starter Beyblade + Prize Hunter Face
For 12 Credits: Booster Beyblade
For 9 Credits: Random Booster Light Vol. 3
For 6 Credits: A Mystery Prize~
For 3 Credits: Face Booster DIAMOND
Yes, we’re introducing a whole new Face Booster just for this campaign! Also, what is that Mystery Prize?!
Prize Hunter Face [Image: prizehunterface.png] Face Booster DIAMOND [Image: faceboosterdiamond.png]
For the Starters, we currently have: Storm Pegasis 105RF, Earth Aquila 145WD, Lightning L Drago 100HF, Dark Wolf DF145FS. As for Boosters: Dark Bull H145SD, Flame Libra T125ES, Dark Cancer CH120SF.
Some of those prizes are not totally unique, but they are limited, as was mentioned. The first World Beyblader to get enough Credits for a certain prize and to officially exchange them for that prize will probably get the only one we have, so only the other prizes not yet taken will remain! Of course, however, the Face Booster DIAMOND is unlimited as long as this campaign has not ended, so you could get several of them; every time, you would lose 3 Credits though.
All of this makes competitive play heat up even more! Hurry, beybattle with all your heart and might!
Let's also applaud theflightyellz's promotion to the Committee!

Beyblade.com finally opens!
- Kai-V
- Apr. 30, 2010 1:51 AM
The official website has finally been launched, even though it currently redirects to YTV's Beyblade Metal Fusion page, therefore there is mostly only anime content at the moment.
A commercial for the toys and one for the show can be watched, as well as the opening for the new series. The latter video used to be a preview of the thirteenth episode, where Ginga battles Ryuuga. An audio clip was ripped while it was still online :
http://www.cybertigeranime.com/bbspirit/...Voices.wma
Most of the voices can be heard on it : Gingka, Kenta, Benkei, Madoka, Doji and Ryuga.
Cartoon Network will also be the channel to broadcast Beyblade Metal Fusion in the United States in fall 2010.

BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion on air in Canada on May 15th!
- Kai-V
- Apr. 13, 2010 1:42 AM
Corus Entertainment Wrote:BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION – SERIES PREMIERE
Following the Let it Rip phenomena that took over the TV screens and playgrounds in 2002, Beyblade makes its much anticipated return with a brand new generation of characters who take on the battle between good and evil. Competing for dominance with their spinning Beyblade tops, the perilous organization of the Dark Nebula is vying for world domination. The only person standing in their way is teenager Gingka, who struggles to find his strength to honour Beyblade and save the world. Produced by Nelvana and Japan’s d-rights, Beyblade: Metal Fusion will air Saturdays at 12 p.m. beginning with a feature length episode on Saturday, May 15 at 12 p.m.

Note that this is only for YTV in Canada, to coincide with the earlier release of the toyline in Canada as well. This means that the toys are very close to being launched, and some of the new products might have even leaked already.
"Gingka" might still be a huge spelling mistake from Nelvana's site ...

WBO Authorized Beyblade Dealer Program!
- Kai-V
- Mar. 22, 2010 9:36 PM
We are proud to announce the beginning of a new exciting program: the WBO Authorized Beyblade Dealers!
In simple terms, we have established a solid contact with well-known online stores, in order to help everybody on the World Beyblade Organization have access to imported Beyblade products more easily! The first two amazing shops are theINtoy and dimsum2u!
Believe us, only awesome offers come out of these affiliations:
With theINtoy
A special discount group has been opened! The Committee will select volunteers who are really interested in purchasing from theINtoy, and the email address they used to register on theINtoy will be added to the discount group within one or two days of it being sent. Note that there will be a selection only because we want to make sure people do not register here only to get the discount: that’s not fair!
The World Beyblade Organization is now an official affiliate with theINtoy: this means that links to their Beyblade products will be added in the proper topics, and if a visitor clicks on that link and orders the item, we get a certain percentage of the sale! This will help us in our goal to give back as much money as possible to tournament organizers to support them with prizes and other expenses.
theINtoy offers us the amazing privilege of adding our users’ product reviews to their own website! A new section will be added on every product page on theINtoy called “The WBO saysâ€: this will basically be full of reviews that you will have submitted and that we will have forwarded them. You can see those reviews as smaller Beywiki articles if you want.
theINtoy has been with the Beyblade community almost since the beginning, and a very strong link was formed along the years, especially during the suspension of the toyline. They keep giving their best for us day after day, so it’s natural to keep saying thank you! theINtoy is a must if you live around Europe, but don’t hesitate to place an order with them even if you live outside that region!
With dimsum2u
The guy keeps giving discounts to members here, so we thought we’d make this official! As often as he can, prices will be updated so they are lower here than they are on his eBay auctions. Contact him directly here to get the best prices!
dimsum2u will also advertise the WBO in emails and pamphlets will be placed in orders he gets, so the message of this awesome community will be spread further and further!
Both stores will keep us updated on new product arrivals and new special prices as much as possible, so keep checking their respective threads:
theINtoy: Authorized Beyblade Dealer
dimsum2u: Authorized Beyblade Dealer
The World Beyblade Organization officially applies a seal of trust on these two Beyblade importers. We hope this will make buying Beyblades online much easier for everybody around the world! To commemorate these affiliations, a new sub-forum has been opened in the Bey Marketplace forum where WBO Authorized Beyblade Dealers will be able to update all World Bladers on their products.

Restructuring for more efficient moderating.
- Kai-V
- Feb. 22, 2010 3:12 AM
Hello all!
Recently, issues concerning the moderation of the forums have been brought up, and we plan to correct the situation so everybody can fully enjoy browsing this board and be more motivated to learn about Beyblade. Notably, the amount of Committee members became too big, and it is part of the reason decisions are slow to be taken. Some of them are also becoming busier, so they do not have the possibility to be as active for this community as they used to. With this restructuring of our team, we hope things in general will be easier and faster to manage.
Now there will be both Committee Members, but also Global Moderators. In addition, let's welcome a new moderator: theflightyellz! DranzerX13 was also added as forum moderator for the Beyblade Anime and Manga forum, considering everything he has been doing for us. This brings the forum staff to:
Committee: ♥, Hiro Ayami, Kai-V, Kei
Global Moderators: Aqua, Rocky, theflightyellz, Yugi Jyudai
... And Blader DJ is in our BeyHeart!
Also, a very important reminder: if you find a post that you think is against the rules, whether it is off-topic, SPAM or discusses any kind of avoided subject, please simply use the REPORT button at the bottom of that post. This way, it is easier for the staff to act quickly on those posts, and topics will be much cleaner, because messages such as "This doesn't belong here" do not help keeping threads tidy. So instead of replying to bad posts, report them!
Otherwise, the Bey News forum sees its official, actual birth: the two posts that were made are simply meant to summarize the latest news, and more will be posted once other information surfaces. The Bey News forum will be on trial for some time, to see how discussion is now with it. To avoid unnecessary posts, only forum staff will be able to add topics and reply in that sub-forum. In general, it serves the purpose of providing a clear and easy history of Bey News for all members.
That's all for now; keep your eyes open, as we are working on exciting projects!

BEYBLADE : Metal Fusion
- Kai-V
- Feb. 22, 2010 3:02 AM
Hasbro will bring TAKARA-TOMY’s Metal Fight Beyblade toyline outside of East Asia by March 2010 for Canada, but in September 2010 for the United Kingdom and the United States under the name “BEYBLADE: Metal Fusionâ€.
They will start by only releasing the Hybrid Wheel System Beyblades. It seems they will never release the Metal series even if they acknowledge the four-layer system. Each Beyblade will come with a Right Launcher and a character profile card. The Light Wheels have been abandoned, therefore Clay Aries will be released by Hasbro as Rock Aries, for instance. Hasbro has decided to give new names to the Beyblade parts, notably Fusion Wheel (Hybrid Wheel), Spin Track (Track), and Performance Tip (Bottom).
It appears the Beypointer device has also been rejected. Instead, special codes found in all releases that include Beyblades will give players the opportunity to “compete against other Beybladers from around the world†on BeybladeBattles.com
More information about this new site is currently not available.
Hasbro has of course designed their own new Beystadiums, including the yellow Pegasis Thunder Whip and the Super Vortex Beystadium.
Electronic tops will also be released, and some of Hasbro’s old shooters will be reused. The Beylauncher will come out as a separate item and its handle has been slightly improved for an easier grip. On the subject of grips, the Launcher Grip will also be released separately, and it will automatically come with a Grip Rubber.
These will be the first types of releases:

New Affiliate: Striker Axis!
- Kai-V
- Jan. 21, 2010 11:57 PM
Hello World Beybladers,
We are glad to announce that Striker Axis is now one of our affiliates.
Of course this is very unusual, since they focus on Battle Strikers and not Beyblade. However, both of our staff want to rectify the situation that has been observed more than once between the two communities. We wish to make it clear that both games can be enjoyed for totally different reasons because their gameplay is not the same at all. If you just imagine the kind of tournaments for each hobby, you can clearly see that besides the spinning top similarity, everybody has to stop comparing them so much. One does not have to be better than the other, and we think your time can be dedicated to both games seeing as they are both very fun to play.
With this affiliation, we hope to calm the ‘conflict’ considerably. Our wish is to see both hobbies evolve side-by-side in harmony, not in war. There are good sides and bad sides for the two games (and not advantages and disadvantages); a video will hopefully be made soon that presents those points.
I think everybody can understand that we will not tolerate comments that only want to deteriorate either one of the two games without attempting to be constructive at all. We are aware though that a lot of you already dislike how strict we are with the rules here, so even though we have been acting with valid reasons, we simply courteously ask everyone to really think about their comments before posting them. If a member keeps insulting one of the toys after, for instance, having been shown the aforementioned video, then we will have to warn them.
That being said, this message has to be serious for the most, but we hope the affiliation goes well! Good luck to the Striker Axis staff as well.

Hello!
It recently came to our attention that the WBO General forum was very unorganized. Admittedly, we can understand the members who did not try to look for already existing topics for certain areas. To fix this situation, the WBO General forum has been divided into four sub-forums, each representing one main part of the world: North America, Europe, Australia, and the rest, since only a few members pertain to the other locations. It should be a lot easier to find certain topics or potential events this way. Any new topic made should be created in either one of the sub-forums.
We also want to introduce a new prefix system for both the WBO General and the Bey Marketplace forums. For the former, you now have to write the city and country you are interested in before the title. For instance, if I were to create a thread called “Anyone here in Las Vegas??â€, I would have to add a prefix of the complete location right before that, so the actual topic title would end up being : “[Las Vegas, USA] Anyone here in Las Vegas??â€. You could also totally omit any sort of made-up title and simply write “[Las Vegas, USA]†as the title of your topic. All of the current threads have been edited and will be moved into their respective sub-forum shortly.
For the Bey Marketplace forum, the prefixes are merely to really specify what the thread is about, since some new members have been replying to “want to buy†topics with “want to buy†responses as if it were a sale thread. Therefore, we now ask that if you want to buy something, put “[BUYING]†at the beginning of your title, or “[SELLING]†if you are looking to sell some of your Beyblade items. You can also write “[TRADING]†if that is your intention, or “[SHOP]†if you could do all three.
Those prefixes are obligatory by the way, unless the topic you want to create is very different to the situations we have listed, which should not really happen. If users who are still active could edit their topic title, we would appreciate it; otherwise, we only want every new thread made in either of those forums to have a corresponding prefix. A proper plugin will probably be installed for the Bey Marketplace forum anyway, so everything will be easier.
The stickied topics of the Bey Marketplace forum have been cleaned up as well. There will be a new "Want to know what to buy for MFB? Look here." topic, which will be locked because there is no discussion to be had in it; once new Beyblades are released, they will be tested, and if they are very useful, they will be added. Any other question will go in the Purchase Consultation thread.
Concerning the Beypoint System, there have been a few issues in the Committee and we need to finalize several things before we finally release the new system, but it is ready. Hopefully you will all like the projects we are trying to prepare.

Hello World Beybladers!
Worldbeyblade.org: 2008-Present
[Image: wboheader1.png]
One year ago, the Beywiki was transformed into what we all love today : the World Beyblade Organization!
This change has brought a whole new aspect to the site. There are now more members than ever from all over the world who get really involved in the Beyblade scene: 3,000 members and still counting! Some international communities are so important and filled with Beydetermination that they have got their own forum here! Not only that, but we also have the opportunity to organize bigger events thanks to this new organization, and the rules set down for play allow for a fair, yet still very competitive atmosphere in tournaments! The World Beyblade Organization is undoubtedly the best Beyblade community of all time!
To highlight this anniversary, we wish to thank all of our supporters very much. Therefore, all the Passport Holders who kindly donated money to keep this site going and to keep the events we organize exciting can enter to get the chance to win a free beyblade! Ah, that is what that cryptic message meant! The winner will be picked randomly out of the people who will have posted in this topic to enter the free giveaway, and five other Passport Holders will be chosen to receive a Face Booster! Just to clarify, this contest is for Passport Holders ONLY!
For the occasion, we would also like to welcome Yugi Jyudai back into the team. Bring out the fire in the Turkish community! The Italian community has done really great so far as well : just recently, they hosted their first event which even ended up being printed in a newspaper!
Moreover, the Beypoint system is very close to being ready! Yay!
…
Eh … what is it? The WBO anniversary was actually yesterday, December 4th?
… Yes it was! However, we also want to celebrate another event today: Brad Day!
Now, let us talk to you about a person who has always been very dear to this community.
Offthechain.net: 2003-2005
[Image: v6banner.jpg]
As the Beyblade fanbase was only getting started outside Japan, back in 2003, a young man appeared with an impressive interest in this revolutionary game of spinning tops. He made a website with a lot of potential, called Off the Chain. At first, the site was slightly timid, but it wasn’t long at all before several waves of visitors came to know about it. Out of all the active Beyblade websites that existed back then, that site was, for some reason, the only one with awesome and accurate information. What parts of Burning Kerberous are good? How does an Engine Gear work?! That site had all the answers! Off the Chain was, in itself, a very big step forward this early in the community since it focused mainly on the Beyblade hobby rather than on the anime or manga. That is an exploit only few people can achieve, even today!
Then, eventually, this very passionate Beyblade fan came to know a certain Japanese man who helped us discover other things about the game. By getting in contact with some of the Japanese community, he was able to open more doors to the Beybladers on the web.
One sad day however, as he was doing his duty as a Blader and participating in a tournament, in 2005, somebody stole his case full of beyblades! This huge loss almost made him give up on the hobby, but he luckily met a young, cool girl to whom he shared his knowledge about Beyblade to help her dominate in her upcoming beybattles. Doing all of this with some friends got him back into the game shortly after, determined to share so much more with Beyblade fans!
As the community was more or less at its peak, Takara suddenly decided to suspend Beyblade production and we heard no more from the company for three years. The community was really withering as people did their best to hang on to the few remains of the hobby and anime. Every Beyblader had hope in their Beyheart that the series would be brought back eventually, but years went by without any traces of news. Fewer and fewer fans could be met on the net, and even fewer ever thought that the hobby would be revived. A few bladers tried to create new places to get together as most of the old websites had been closed. Things went poorly.
Beywiki.com: 2007-2008
[Image: beywikiforumsbanner.jpg]
After observing this for a while, the determined Blader chose to come out of the subtle shadows and corrected everybody’s futile attempts to revive the Beyblade community. With his initiative, and outstanding leadership, a change in density of the fanbase was immediately observable: he created a site called ‘Beywiki’ in October 2007, and hundreds of fans joined the site in an extremely short period of time! It was really as if the only pillar of our community was the one and only Brad, Tamer Brad or Bey Brad!
It certainly puts a lot of weight on someone’s shoulders to know that a community theoretically relies on himself, but he proved to be so capable of bringing the best for us in all aspects with his awesome ideas, that we just couldn’t applaud his accomplishments accordingly! At the very least though, we want to offer him this day, December 5th, one day after the anniversary of the World Beyblade Organization, one day before his own birthday.
Thank you so much for all you have done Brad! You dedicated six years of your life to this community; a community which you built from the ground up. You have truly been an irreplaceable leader, who has brought us all together here today. You are without a doubt the best of the best, the most the community could have hoped for!
Have a very happy Brad Day!
To celebrate this special date, some elements of the layout were modified, such as the banner and the buttons. Floral patterns everywhere! Today, the WBO is the World… Brad Organization!
Now, Brad has a small tendency to be too humble in some ways, so we really want to give him something cool. Therefore, we are giving him the opportunity to decorate himself with a Face obtained from a Face Booster. Which one will you choose, Brad? Now you cannot refuse!
[Image: faceboosterred.png] [Image: faceboosterblue.png] [Image: faceboostergreen.png] [Image: faceboosterorange.png]
But wait, one Face is clearly not enough in comparison to what he has done, so we are giving him a very, very unique one of a kind Face called the Painite Face. As might be known, the painite has the world record for being the rarest gem stone in the world. See any connection… ?!
Ah! but Brad is also just such a cool guy; his passions emanate from his being with such brilliance once we get to know him, Beyblade is just the perfect example. To simply highlight this fact, we thought we would also offer you a Face based on another one of your passions, the Kiva Face!
We hope you like all of these presents, it is the least we can do. We cannot do anything for the Hybrid Wheel System right now, but we all really hope you stick with us for quite some time!

Hey everyone.
This will be my final news post for the foreseeable future, so I'll try to keep it short.
For starters, while I'm going to be hanging around to help out the Committee, I don't think it's fair to consider myself a member of the WBO Committee anymore. So, effective now I am not a member of the WBO Committee.
Khel and Hiro Ayami are the new Directors of Organized Play. Kei will remain the director of Beywiki, and Kai-V will be the Community Director. Best of luck to all of you!
In addition to Hiro Ayami, Yugi Jyudai will be joining him as a member of Committee, in the position of Turkish Director.
The new Beypoints System is complete but needs testing. Expect to see it live on the site in the upcoming weeks.
This site has been around for almost three years now, and I've nursed it from almost nothing into the giant community we have here today. I am glad that I created something that was able to touch the lives of so many people. However, we all change, we all move on. Even if I am no longer around as much, I will never forget the WBO and its members.
Good luck, Bladers!

My new job at MEGA
- Bey Brad
- Aug. 09, 2009 2:53 AM
This is probably the most important news announcement I've ever written, and I'm feeling both excited and sad about this. I won't waste any time, so let's get to it.
Most of you know that I went to visit MEGA Brands Inc. and the Battle Strikers team last week. What I haven't told you is that while there, they offered me a job working on Battle Strikers. After some deliberation, I've decided to take it.
I know a lot of you view Battle Strikers as "the enemy", and I can understand how you might feel that way. However, Battle Strikers plays very differently from Beyblade. Plus, if there's room for hundreds of card games in the world, there's room for two spinning top games. And with myself working on this project, I know that we can make this toyline great; I know what works in games like this, and I know what players want, which is why the WBO was made in the first place. Hasbro and Takara-Tomy have ignored us constantly, and now this company is reaching out. I'll take it, and I'll do what I can to make Battle Strikers a better game than Beyblade. I hope you'll join me for this.
However, make no mistake; I am still a Blader, and the WBO is not closing. However, because of the obvious conflict of interest I am going to start backing off from WBO activities and pushing more responsibility to the rest of the Committee members until I am eventually a regular member.
In this life, we cannot gain anything without sacrificing something. I'm twenty years old now, and for me, this is a dream job in a dream industry. It's what I have always wanted, and it's unreasonable for anyone to expect me to give that up for a fansite. I sincerely hope all of you are happy for me, and will wish me the best.
If you're not happy for me, don't post here. Other members of the Committee will be banning any members on the spot for harassing comments. I have worked hard to achieve this, and I would ask you to respect that.
Thanks so much for all your support over these years. You've all made my dreams possible.

Standard and Universal Rules Release 1, WBO Event Guide Release 2, and more!
- Bey Brad
- Jul. 28, 2009 10:13 AM
Hey World Bladers!
I know it's been a long time since the last update ... which was a bit of a disruptive one. To get it out of the way now, the new BeyPoints system is not read yet. However, we're on track to have it done by September.
Speaking of it, how's it working out? With the fees and such? I'm happy to say that the fees have been a rather large boon to the WBO! I've been able to afford supplies that should last us for quite some time, and hopefully we can have a contest soon. All the costs for the site are being covered perfectly, and overall we're just simply in a great position right now. And today, we finally reached 2000 members! That's just incredible. Really, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of the Bladers who've joined us on our journey. You've all shown that the world will never forget Beyblade.
So, onto the updates!
The WBO Rule Book has been updated. However, there's a rather large change. Because the community has done so well with picking up on Metal Fight Beyblade, the "Metal Fight Beyblade Format" has been renamed to "Standard Format". Most of the tournaments we've been doing are MFB only, and I think this is the best way for us to keep moving forward.
However, if this is now Standard, it means the rule book has a lot of information that isn't relevant to that format. Yes, definitely, a lot of it needed to be cut out. However, that does not mean we are abandoning players who still want to play HMS and Plastics using the WBO rules. In fact, I'm releasing two rule books tonight.
WBO Rule Book, Standard Version and Universal Version are both being released tonight as Release 1's and are available to download immediately!
Aside from that change, here are some of the updates to the rules:
This isn't the only literature being released, though. WBO Event Guide Release 2 is now available. This differs from the first release in that it actually has useful information in it. If you're interested in running a WBO event or simply want to see our methodology, be sure to give it a read. Specifically, it explains the addition of the new Event Proposals forum, which is for exactly what it sounds like.
Speaking of forums, there's now a Bey News forum, which is ... again, exactly what it sounds like! We've not really had a formal place to put news like this before, instead choosing to spread it out across multiple topics. Well now you'll have all your Bey News in one place! And to make things even easier, we've made a News page for the entire site. Affiliate news, WBO news, Bey news, news about tournaments -- it'll all be in this one spot.
Don't forget about our upcoming tournaments! Check out the Upcoming Events tab on the homepage!
I think that's it for now, guys. I'll probably be making more small changes over the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled! Gooo SHOOT!

Aside from that change, here are some of the updates to the rules:
- A section on the BeyLauncher has been added due to its ... "special" attributes (it breaks a lot).
- The BeyStadium Matrix has been updated.
- Light Wheels are illegal (I would hope this would never be an issue, but just in case!)
- Restricted Format has been dropped since it was used a grand total of zero times.
- BeyPoints section was trimmed down due to changes.

Hobby Updates, on Beyblade Spirit.

Hopefully I will post a lot here too.
For the moment, there is a satisfying animation that shows how to remove some pieces of the Launcher Grip :
http://www.cybertigeranime.com/bbspirit/...erGrip.htm
Also, I sometimes try to write about the new beyblades. Obviously I do not know everything about them, so if you find something that you know is evidently wrong, I would appreciate if you could notify me about that, in a correct way. Do not necessarily go on a race to find mistakes, because I think I could add or remove a few things I wrote already.
Regarding the previous series of beyblades, you can tell me about mistakes there too, even though I could not rewrite the reviews for that matter.

WBO Back Up after Distributed Denial of Service Attack
- Bey Brad
- Jul. 16, 2009 10:35 PM
Hey everyone,
The WBO has been down for almost an entire day due to a DDOS attack on our host. Simply put, our host was extorted and bombarded with requests of up to 4GB/s of data, causing the servers to crash. We've been moved to a more secure server now and there should be no data loss. Sorry about the inconvenience!
