Hosts: The Supreme One and Yami

LocationThis event will be held outdoors at the East Norbeck Park. Please note that the tournament may be postponed due to inclement weather.

Time: As the tournament will start promptly at 12:00pm, please plan to arrive around 11:00am when registration will begin. Registration will close at 11:45am. If the participant cap has not been met at this time, waitlisted players will be offered a spot. Confirming your attendance on the WBO event page does not substitute for registration at the venue.

Prizes: Due to WBO funds currently being put on hold, prizes will not be offered at this event (fortunately this also means no entry fees!)

Other Information:
Please come prepared. It is helpful for both hosts and judges if all participants bring at least one Takara Tomy or Hasbro-manufactured Beyblade of their own and more than one launcher when possible. Additionally, parents of children under the age of 13 must be present for the duration of the event, as tournament end times can be difficult to estimate, and we would hate for someone to be left behind once it is over.

Be aware of your belongings. We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

All players must arrive on-time. The tournament will begin no later than 12:00 PM and is expected to run for about 3 hours, though if there is a large turnout it may take longer. Please plan accordingly. If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.

If you know in advance that you will be late, please post in this thread or contact someone at the event and depending on the circumstances we can perhaps still include you if we know you will arrive soon.

Hey Ryan, thanks for asking. Try to arrive by 11:45 - after that we can’t guarantee that you’ll be entered in the tournament. Hope you can make it!
There is a LOT of uncertainty as to where the backup location is. TSO, Yami, please get here and point it out.
Where is the tournament area?
I am at the end of parking and am. Going to look for it
Hey guys, can someone post a pic of the new spot so I know what the new spot looks like please
I will meet everyone at the pavilion and we can meet up and walk to where the tournament will be

There is some tennis courts to the right of the pavilion btw

I'm hoping to try, waiting for aunt to finish taking shower so we can get going, also, The Supreme One, are you possibly on the one discord group that is for the U.S. beyblade community?
I am to the left of the pavilion when you enter the park go to the left and we are on the left
I am almost there I will be there in 25 minutes

Can the people there send a picture of where we are battling

Will anybody be filming this tournament because wbo has not filmed one for 6 months
Could some people find out where the tournament is, then go back to the pavilion and guide people there?
We're right at the pavilion parking lot, we're impossible to miss.
Thanks CheetoBlader I am almost there and don’t know where to go
Good luck everyone! Have good and safe time out there!

Hey, we could use a ruling. I'm seriously confused.

https://challonge.com/Returnofthesupremeone

Here's the bracket.

The tiebreaker rules are as follows:
"
Swiss Format
1. Overall Score/win record
2. Challonge TB column (Only if the players in question have match history)
3. Buchholz: Look at the Bucholz column in Challonge. Whichever player has a higher score here will advance to the finals.
4. Seeding: Higher seed retains higher spot if above factors are all tied (Only if determining the order of two participants already guaranteed a spot in the finals).
5. Tiebreak Match: Perform a tiebreak match (or round robin in the case of three or more tied participants) to determine who will advance to the finals (Only if there is a tiebreak which involves two or more players on the edge of making the finals or not).
"

There are what, 6 people who went 3-2. Out of all of them, only Ryan has a TB point because he beat someone else who went 3-2 during the tournament. But wombat and TSO are saying Wombats going to the finals, because the TB column on Challonge is somehow different?

I just want to know how this works

7 Hyper xeno 3 - 2 - 0 0 3.0 1 11.0 1
8 RyanTheDragon 3 - 2 - 0 0 3.0 1 9.0 1
9 Wombat 3 - 2 - 0 0 3.0 0 12.0 1

If Hyper Xeno and Ryan both have 1 TB value because eachh has beaten another person with a 3-2 record, why is Wombat, with 0 wins against other people with 3-2 records, in the finals?

Wombat advances, not RyanTheDragon. The did not face each other so the TB rule does not apply. Wombat has the higher Bulcholz score so he advances.
What? The players in question should be everyone with a 3-2 record, yes? And not just the players with 3-2 and high bucholz? Buchholz doesn't factor in until step 3.

Hyper xeno
RyanTheDragon
Wombat
Yami
CheetoBlader
Fisto227
jackpotgodzilla
DeceasedCrab
EDITED:
Here's all 8 people who went 3-2. Out of all those people, none of them played each other, except for Ryan who beat Yami, and Xeno who beat JPG. I just don't see how wombat makes it to the finals. Impressive buchholz, sure, but I just can't follow the reasoning here.

Yami, Xeno, JPG, and Ryan have match history. What's your definition of match history?

Xeno and JPG battled too.

You know what, you're right, I had the matches wrong there. Out of the 3-2s, xeno never played or beat Ryan, xeno beat JPG. It's why he has 1 TB point. Ryan has a TB point because he beat Yami.

So Ryan, Xeno, Yami, and JPG have match history among the 3-2s, with two of them having wins against other 3-2s. Why again was Wombat moved to the finals?
is the yournament still going

Yami, Xeno, and Ryan have match history. What's your definition of match history?

Match history means if they played one another during the Swiss rounds.
1- # of wins
2- Tiebreaker (only if those players have match history)
3- Buchholz score.

If 2 does not apply, then 3 determines who advances to finals.
