Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST

Oh, forgot to include that I got Lightning L Drago (HWS)... now I have both of them Smile
Sucks with ordering stuff from Asia when it doesn't get here on time. Oh well lots of good stuff still to come for Wyatt and me.
Today I got:

A pair of beats (not familiar with the headphone lingo, I just know they're beats)

Kindle Fire HD (gave it to my mom)

$600

Before you call me spoiled (I'm not, trust me), the kindle and beats were from my cousin who already got both of them for Christmas and just gave them to me.

Well remember, You did get a lot of beyblade related things before the holidays, so it does make sense that you only get one thing. Also, You shouldn't be playing Grand Theft Auto being only 11. Smile

Well, you can't really make him stop, if his parents say its OK then it's his choice Smile.

Yes I know, But I mean it still isn't the best idea.

Like DRAGON KING said it's up to the parents, but MidnightLWBO is also right in a way to. Say this: "My parents said I could pick pocket a $100" That wouldn't be right. I think that's what MidnightLWBO means. Though, we don't really want to start a fight over under-age do we? ...
Guys, this isn't really a public debate on if he should play or not.

While the rating is M for a reason, it's his parents decision in the end, not the WBO's.

I really don't understand why people think GTA 5 makes people want to kill people. As a wise man said:

Surgeon Simulator doesn't make me a surgeon
Madden 25 doesn't make me an NFL pro
So why should GTA 5 make me a murderer?

Not necessarily that it makes "people want to kill people", the game itself is just extremely violent and very suggestive (won't explain, as kids read this forum, haha), something that's not necessarily appropriate for those who don't fit the intended age M rating.

Its not that it makes people want to kill others, but it desensitizes people. Back before tv's were even in color that had shooting games for military purposes to do just that for soldiers.
Listen everybody, my parents just gave me Grand Theft Auto V,big deal I'm aware that a very small percentage of people can get photo seizures because of the pictures in the game and other terrible symptoms but I only play once every one or two days in the morning/ afternoon for one hour, i know it's not the best game in the world when it comes to appropriate Standards, but I barely play I Know I'm just 11 and you should be over 17 to play but my parents just gave it to me also, since my parents aren't interested in beyblade they couldn't give me the ones I wanted exactly on Christmas, guys, I'm buying $200 worth of beys on eBay today. Midnight and others know I an NOT a murderer or killer, nor do I plan to be, I'm a good person lots of people know that I know I shouldn't have nor play this game but I don't like it so far, I BARELY play last time I played was one hour yesterday. Many people know I'm not violent in real life, OK sorry for making a big arguing about this but I'm just telling people what I got, I know LMAO used to play the game and is not 17 and other people that I just know from places, OK I know I already got tons before Christmas but I'm getting even more today (forgot to say) sorry If I sound like a bragger on anything like that but pretty much everyone knows I'm a good person.
I agree with OrionBlade. I think we should just leave it at this. I play games not for my age. And I'm not a killer. I watch over-aged Anime, but I don't kill. It's up to OrionBlade. I mean, no one should be able to tell you what to do.

Also, I'm a Killer cause I have a Killer Metal wheel, haha. I just had to do that.
Just to clarrify I wasn't giving an opinion on him playing the game. I was clarrifying the belief that violents doesn't breed violence it just makes it less of a shock to people which can be used for good as well as bad...
You also have to put it all in perspective. Let's not forget that once upon a time, public hangings were entertainment, too. Sure, it desensitizes people, but is that really such a bad thing? If someone wants to play a violent game, that's their business.
Age ranges on games are a great thing, but parents also need to take into consideration their own child. There are plenty of children that are mature enough to handle violent video games, and plenty of kids that are not.

It's called parenting Smile

There was also a great article a while back ago about a dad who let his 4 year old play GTA: San Andreas. Not knowing the point of the game beforehand, the child took to fighting crime around the city in a police cruiser before realizing he could use a firetruck and fight fires. http://venturebeat.com/2010/06/05/my-fou...heft-auto/

Would I let my almost-4-year-old play GTA? Hell no, but everyone is different.
Honestly, playing GTA at 11 years old is fine. Most kids now a days play COD where the objective in the most popular game mode is to kill people and people don't complain nearly as much about kids playing that. I played GTA San Andreas when I was six or seven I think and it didn't do anything to me. I knew it was a game and all the stuff you could do in the game was just for fun and part of the game. It's not like playing GTA will make you insane. Just don't let your kids play it if they are extremely immature or can't differentiate video games and reality. Here's a working link to what I think Naijalak posted.

I'm not the biggest fan of anime, but my friend is! It would be nice to buy him something for the holidays! What would recommend to me to buy him (If it does happen)?

What's his favourite Anime? I love Attack on Titan. Maybe something from that. Naruto? Bleach? FMA? haah.

Also, you should try get our own laptop, haha.

If only I had that console, And a little more money, Then i'd get it. lol.
Get him some of the One Piece Collection DVDs. They're around $15-20 and come with around 26 episodes each so it's a pretty good deal. You could also get him the manga box set which recently came out and it comes with the first 23 volumes of the series. Or maybe even a figure.
